NARRATOR: Remote mountain locations

-linked to elusive creatures. -(growling)

-(dripping) -Vast cavern systems

said to shelter the supernatural.

And hidden recesses of the planet

rumored to serve as alien outposts.

For nearly two decades,

Ancient Aliens has traveled the globe,

exploring towering megalithic structures,

mysterious artifacts,

and stories of otherworldly beings

in a quest for evidence that might reveal the truth

of our extraterrestrial origins.

It's so amazing to think about these extraterrestrial lairs

hidden away in these remote places--

mountains, caves, islands.

NARRATOR: Now we take a look back through the Ancient Aliens archives

to the show's very origins

to examine the evidence that we are not alone.

We have never been alone.

♪ ♪

In many ancient cultures,

people wrote about sacred

and mysterious places where otherworldly beings

-were believed to dwell. -GIORGIO A. TSOUKALOS: Yeah.

And these beings are often said

to hide out in very remote locations,

like, for example, deep inside a cave

or high on top of a mountain.

And what's so interesting is that these stories

-happened globally. -DAVID CHILDRESS: Yeah.

So are these accounts of real beings

that have been encountered by ancient people?

And are these dwellings

some kind of extraterrestrial lairs?

We explored all this

in a 2014 episode of Ancient Aliens

called "Forbidden Caves."

(birds singing)

NARRATOR: Central India.

July 2014.

While exploring caves in the region of Charama,

which are known to contain prehistoric artwork

dating as far back as 10,000 years,

an Indian archaeologist, J.R. Bhagat,

makes a stunning discovery.

The Indian government

and-and Times of India had a major story

about rock paintings found recently in Central India

that seem to show these tall beings.

And they do not seem to have a-a nose or a mouth.

And nearby is this three-legged disc.

The Times of India actually proposed the idea,

what if what we have depicted here

are some type of extraterrestrials

or at least some type of flying craft?

Because it's the basis for much of the Hindu pantheon of gods.

NARRATOR: Ancient Hindu texts like the Vedas and the Puranas

record stories about extraterrestrials

existing on other planets.

And the Mahabharata,

one of ancient India's two major Sanskrit epics,

contains stories about gods coming to Earth

in flying machines.

Even the legends specific to this region

tell of a mysterious race of beings

known as the Rohela...

...who descended from the sky

and abducted local villagers.

Could the newly unearthed cave art be a visual record

that extraterrestrials really visited here?

There was an obsession of ancient human beings

to depict things

that they saw.

And I think they did it with carvings on caves

because that's what they saw.

NARRATOR: But what is it about caves

that made them the ideal canvases

for ancient peoples to chronicle their experiences?

HENRY: Caves are hugely significant

in ancient mythology and-and legends,

especially about the gods.

They seem to be kind of a liminal point,

a boundary place where the gods and humans can meet.

CHILDRESS: There is a whole hidden underground world

of planet Earth that we're only just now beginning to discover.

We don't know what's there.

We could be discovering all kinds of amazing things.

And it's possible that there are entire cities under the earth.

Whole cavern metropolises

that are talked about in legends.

NARRATOR: But while ancient cave art often reveals

the type of animals our earliest ancestors encountered

and their means for hunting them,

there is a surprising number of depictions

of strange-looking figures and objects

that defy any conventional explanation.

In Australia, the Wandjina people,

they painted images on their caves

which eerily looks like the so-called Greys

of alien abduction lore today.

You have the strange petroglyphs

in the Hoggar Mountains of southern Algeria.

Uh, you've got strange rock art, too, in the American Southwest.

And when you look at it

and even have the natives explain it to you,

they say things like, "Oh, yes, he's the Martian god"

or "These are the star people coming from the sky."

NARRATOR: How do we explain so many different cultures

across thousands of years and thousands of miles

producing such consistent visual representations?

TSOUKALOS: The ones

that were discovered in some of the African caves,

it's too similar to what has been discovered

on every continent for it to be complete coincidence.

So it's this whole idea of the spark of initial inspiration.

What is it that they witnessed?

And could it be that they witnessed extraterrestrials?

One of the more intriguing aspects of the cave paintings

that seem to show aliens is why are they inside caves.

This has sort of given rise to the theory

that maybe these aliens perhaps have permanent bases

on the planet underground.

Maybe ancient man saw them

coming out of some of these caves and caverns

and then realized there was a relationship

between the aliens and the caves.

NARRATOR: In ancient times,

caves were places of shelter.

But is it possible our ancestors were also using caves

to record and protect information

about extraterrestrial beings

who played a role in our existence?

Perhaps the answer can be found halfway around the world

in the American Southwest.

(wind blowing)

The Grand Canyon.

This epic 277-mile-long, one-mile-deep fissure

exposes millions of years of geologic strata.

Imprinted onto this dramatic landscape are petroglyphs

that depict everyday life as experienced

by the first inhabitants of the region.

But in one of the most remote corners of the canyon

is a small cave covered with artwork that mystifies experts.

Some refer to it as the Shaman's Panel,

because it appears to depict scenes of the supernatural.

All around the Grand Canyon are unusual sites and sacred sites.

And then you have the Shaman's Panel there in the Grand Canyon,

which seems to show these long, tall,

extraterrestrial-type figures.

NARRATOR: Like the strange-looking beings

found in the cave in Charama, India,

the figures depicted on the Shaman's Panel

are oddly elongated and are also thought

to have been created as many as 10,000 years ago.

And just as in Charama,

the native Hopi people here also have detailed accounts

of extraterrestrials who came down to Earth.

CHILDRESS: In the Southwest, the Pueblo Indians,

such as the Zuni and-and the Hopi,

believe that there is an entrance

into an underground world

and it is located in the Grand Canyon.

And it's this mythological underworld,

uh, of caves

and extraterrestrials,

the ant people.

The Hopi have this concept of the ant people.

Uh, the ant people are, um, very thin.

They have elongated heads.

And the ancestral Hopi people did make pictures

of these ant people,

which still survive today.

NARRATOR: Is it possible the rock art found here

and elsewhere around the world

is evidence that the Earth's first inhabitants

had contact with otherworldly beings?

If so, might there be some significance to the fact

that many of these strange petroglyphs

are found in and around caves?

And could hidden corners of the Earth

serve as extraterrestrial hideouts,

as ancient astronaut theorists contend?

Perhaps further clues can be found

by examining sacred offerings

left thousands of feet above sea level

in the Andes.

One thing that you can find in many cultures

is the idea of spirits living in remote mountain areas.

But in a lot of cases, they don't sound like spirits.

They have physical bodies, and they come from specific stars.

TSOUKALOS: Right.

Like, for example, in Peru,

where the indigenous people claim

that there are mountain spirits called the Apu

whom they associate with the Pleiadian star cluster.

HENRY: Right. So,

are we talking about spirits?

Or are the Apu

extraterrestrials living in the mountains of Peru?

NARRATOR: The Peruvian Andes.

2009.

Tens of thousands of people from all over the region

journey to the Sinakara Valley

near Ausangate Mountain...

-(drumming) -(chanting)

...for the Quyllurit'i or Snow Star Festival.

♪ ♪

Historical records show that local Catholics adopted

this annual celebration back in 1780.

But most experts agree

it likely dates back hundreds

and possibly thousands of years earlier.

And although no one knows exactly when

or why the Snow Star Festival was started,

oral traditions maintain

that it has always been tied to a star cluster

the native Quechua people call Qullqa,

or, as it's known to many other cultures,

the Pleiades.

(music playing)

The Quechua people,

descendants of the ancient Incas,

return to this location every year

to be surrounded by four sacred mountains.

In hopes of gaining good fortune,

they spend several days dressed in traditional costumes,

dancing, and making ceremonial offerings to the Apu...

...the spirits of the mountains.

YOUNG: In the ancient civilization of the Incas,

there is a belief that there are spirits in the mountains.

They're called Apu.

And ceremonial leaders, chieftains, priests

can make connection, can get some wisdom and guidance.

They are benevolent spirits.

BARNHART: Each mountain has its own Apu spirit.

The Apus are

supernatural things, but they are not deities.

So people are not necessarily praying to them.

Rather, they are in a relationship with them,

asking them for the favor that they can provide.

The Incans were very specific in believing

that the Apu actually existed

as tangible entities who they were interacting with

and who they were, in fact, very much beholden to

for their technology,

for their civilization.

CHILDRESS: You have to wonder if these Apus

were in fact extraterrestrials

that the Incas were in contact with.

And today the people return to these mountains

to have some kind of contact

and-and perhaps advice from the Apus.

NARRATOR: Might the Apu have been extraterrestrial beings?

Beings who came to Earth from the Pleiades star cluster

and interacted with the Incans in ancient times?

Perhaps the answers can be found

in the culmination of the festival itself.

(indistinct chatter)

At the close of the celebration,

select members of the Quechua community

prepare to make the treacherous journey up the mountain glacier.

They go in search of ice they refer to as "the snow star."

BARNHART: The pilgrims go up to the top of the mountain

and they ask the Apu

if they can have some of this ice.

It's intentionally something that's supposed to be grueling.

Some people have even been known to die along the way.

That particular ice is supposed to have healing properties.

And those that take the journey

have good health for the rest of their life.

Throughout the ancient world, we learn of extraterrestrials

depositing treasures and knowledge in sacred mountains.

It's possible that that's what we're seeing here

with the snow star ritual.

Its very name tells us that it comes from beyond the Earth.

NARRATOR: Did extraterrestrials really visit the mountains of Peru?

If so, might there be evidence in other parts of the world

that mountains served as points of connection

between humans and otherworldly beings?

Shandong Province, China.

Referred to as the cosmic peak of the East,

Mount Tai has been a site of pilgrimage and worship

for 3,000 years.

DOMINIC STEAVU: Mount Tai is considered

an extremely powerful place,

a place where people can communicate with the divine.

In Chinese antiquity,

72 emperors were believed

to have made the pilgrimage to Mount Tai.

(birds singing)

YOUNG: They would do ceremonies there

that were crucial to their reign.

If they did the ceremonies correctly,

they gained the approval of the gods

and the legitimacy that stems from that.

If they made a mistake,

an entire dynasty could be in trouble.

(bells clanging)

NARRATOR: In 110 BC,

Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty made the first

of several journeys to Mount Tai during his reign.

According to the historical accounts of scribe Sima Qian,

mysterious sightings were reported

during his time on the mountain.

There seems to have been a beam of light

that appeared off into the horizon.

And there was a mysterious white cloud that emerged

from the mound where the sacrifice is performed.

TSOUKALOS: In a historical record,

a white cloud and a beam of light appeared

as though he summoned them.

So what is really being described here?

And why must his followers stay behind?

It reads much more like an encounter

with some type of an extraterrestrial craft

that was misinterpreted as some type of a divine event.

The Chinese believe that the emperors

were actually communicating with the gods.

So it's possible that, in fact, the E.T.s were guiding

Chinese civilization through their leaders.

NARRATOR: Were the emperors of ancient China

in contact with extraterrestrials?

And might this story suggest

that remote mountains like Mount Tai

served as alien outposts on Earth?

Perhaps further evidence can be found

in otherworldly and deadly encounters reported

in the rugged peaks of Siberia.

You know, many places that are considered to be

hallowed ground have turned into pilgrimage sites.

But with some places,

it is the exact opposite, where locals

tell you, "Stay away.

This place is dangerous."

HENRY: Right.

Like Mount Shasta.

The Native people say,

"Do not go above the tree line."

And people have disappeared from that mountain.

So, what happened?

Did they come in contact

-with extraterrestrials? -CHILDRESS: You know,

this reminds me of that incident in Russia,

where a group of hikers was found dead on this mountain

and their injuries were unexplainable.

And the mountain that they were on was literally called

Do Not Go There.

But they went there.

And they did not have a good time.

(chuckles)

NARRATOR: February 1959.

A group of nine mountaineers embark on a winter trek

into Russia's Ural Mountains.

Their destination--

a mountain called Otorten...

...which in the local Mansi language means

"Do Not Go There."

Among them were three experienced engineers.

The rest were students. They were all young.

I think the oldest was, like, 37 years old.

They had conducted other hard treks through the area.

They were all experienced,

strong-willed, determined people.

NARRATOR: On their fourth night out,

bad weather forces the hikers to camp atop an area

called Kholat Syakhl,

which in Mansi translates to "the Mountain of the Dead."

STONEHILL: It was a very inhospitable,

very strange, very, very hard place to be.

Snow, cold,

freezing winds,

and very few living things around.

They decided that they would spend the night

of February 1 in an open area

not too far away from the top of the mountain.

They didn't want to go back to the forest

one and a half kilometers,

because it would take them too much time

and they would lose the day.

NARRATOR: Ten days later,

when the nine adventurers fail to show up at their destination,

military rescue teams search the area.

(helicopter passing)

They find the hikers' camp abandoned

and a tent that is badly damaged.

The investigators determine that the tent has been cut

and ripped open from the inside.

(ripping)

And the hikers appear to have fled the area

in only socks or bare feet.

(Mikhail Gershtein speaking Russian)

(translated): This tent had been cut with knives

from the interior.

It was absolutely obvious that neither animals nor people

had approached the tent to break in,

meaning that nothing from this Earth had approached them.

STONEHILL: Something was pushing them

to run away without taking any clothing with them,

without taking any supplies.

They were behaving like they were in a daze, confused.

NARRATOR: The investigators follow the trail

to the edge of the forest.

But what they eventually find...

...is beyond belief.

BILL BIRNES: All nine hikers died.

They were discovered by Soviet troops

in various stages of what can only be described

as being mutilated.

Their bodies were burned.

Some suffered radiation poisoning.

In one case, a hiker's tongue was missing.

They had prematurely aged,

their skin was orange, their hair had turned gray.

What could've explained this?

STONEHILL: Three of them had injuries

that could be sustained

when somebody is hit by a speeding car,

except the injuries were inside.

Their ribs were crushed like eggshells.

Some of them entered their hearts,

but there was no effect on their skin.

It was like a force was directed at all of them.

(speaking Russian)

(translated): An unknown force had hit the hikers,

and it was very selective in hitting only the hikers,

leaving untouched the snow,

the trees and everything else around.

NARRATOR: The official explanation

was that the nine died from hypothermia.

But the chief investigator refused to sign off

on the report and instead resigned from the inquiry.

STONEHILL: When the investigation was taking place

by the local officials, one of the people in charge

was removed quite quickly

from the very investigation because he was very thorough,

and local officials didn't want this to come out.

(Gershtein speaking Russian)

(translated): The authorities did their best

to cover the whole thing up.

It was practically forbidden to mention it.

STONEHILL: At the end, the bodies were buried

in zinc coffins, I believe, so nobody would see.

But there was enough of the investigation,

enough people had seen what had been going on

and were amazed at what they found,

including the coloration of the corpses

when they were found, and other things, that news broke out.

And this is one of the most mysterious murder cases

in the former Soviet Union.

I am convinced it was a murder.

But they were not killed by anything we know.

They were killed by an unknown force.

NARRATOR: Years later, members of the search party spoke out.

According to their testimony, at the time of the incident,

strange orange spheres or orbs were seen floating in the sky.

(translated): These observations

are from local people

who saw some unidentified flying objects

during the night of the hikers' deaths.

I think there is a clear connection.

BIRNES: The orbs themselves could've been a life-form...

...the orbs themselves

could have been extraterrestrial probes.

STONEHILL: Based on my research

of different parts of Russia in history,

fiery spheres have been ever present,

including desolate areas like this.

Locals know they exist.

It's like a part of life.

They don't put too much attention to them,

and they hope and pray

that the fiery spheres don't bother them.

Because throughout the ages,

most of the encounters were peaceful everywhere,

but once in a while, like here, something goes very bad.

NARRATOR: But what could have compelled nine experienced mountaineers

to flee their camp and run for their lives?

And what strange forces

could have caused such violence and death?

Could the hikers have been attacked

by something extraterrestrial,

as ancient astronaut theorists believe?

PHILIP IMBROGNO: During my research in my 30-plus years

of investigating UFO sightings in particular,

I've only come across several cases

in which aliens have actually attacked people

like wild animals.

And, uh, some of these creatures had claws and teeth,

and, uh, they would jump on people and scratch them,

and create claw marks in them.

But most of the time these encounters,

the aliens or the creatures just want to get away from humans.

There's no interaction whatsoever.

It could've been inadvertent.

The orbs in probing the area where the human beings were

created collateral damage.

Maybe they didn't mean to harm human beings.

Maybe it wasn't an attack

as much as the power of these orbs,

the energy was so intense

that human beings were prematurely aged,

irradiated,

and suffered all kinds of lethal biological symptoms.

It's not a coincidence that UFOs were reported

by these hikers in the Ural Mountains

in the Place of the Dead, the "Do Not Go There," so on,

'cause I believe that many UFO sightings

come in here from a parallel reality,

and they come through portals.

And this area may be a hot portal.

NARRATOR: According to ancient Mansi legend,

the Mountain of the Dead,

where the nine hikers' mutilated bodies were found,

was named after a similar incident

in which nine Mansi men were also found dead,

while seeking salvation from a flood during ancient times.

But is it really possible that the Mansi

and the doomed expedition

were attacked and killed by otherworldly forces?

Perhaps further evidence can be found deep underground.

Not in the Russian wilderness but half a hemisphere away,

on an Australian mountaintop.

NARRATOR: The continent of Australia.

16 miles south of Cooktown,

near the northeastern coastline,

sits one of the world's most mysterious

and menacing geologic features...

...Black Mountain.

Standing nearly 1,400 feet high,

the mountain consists of enormous black granite boulders

piled precariously one on top of the other.

Called Kalkajaka, or "mountain of death"

by the local Aborigines,

Black Mountain,

with its numerous dark passageways and caverns,

is considered a cursed and evil place.

What the old people told us

when me and my brother Sam, when we were growing up,

not to go into the mountains.

We wanted to go and have a look into the mountains

to see if there was a cave where you could walk in,

but they said no.

"If you do go in, you-you won't come back."

(Ivan Mackerle speaking Czech)

(translated): Black Mountain is the most fearful place

in the north Queensland area of Australia.

The local residents fear to go there

because many people have disappeared,

as if the earth or the mountain itself swallowed them up.

NARRATOR: The first documented disappearance

involving European settlers occurred in 1877,

when a rancher searching for a lost bull

near the mountain was reported missing.

Since then, there have been numerous stories of people,

horses and even herds of cattle

disappearing into the labyrinth of rocks,

never to be seen again.

Local police and trackers looking for the missing

have also vanished.

And pilots flying over the mountain

have reported strange occurrences.

YOUNG: Pilots flying over the Black Mountains

have, uh, commented that there is unusual turbulence.

Of course, they have magnetic problems,

they have navigational problems.

They've heard loud noises,

uh, cracking noises, explosive noises.

They've heard, uh, sort of mournful moaning sounds.

So, this is a very strange area.

(speaking Czech)

(translated): Some ufologists in Australia

say that this is the entrance to an underground empire,

inhabited by an unearthly race of lizard creatures

and evil monsters.

The Aborigines don't call them aliens,

they call them demons or spirits.

YOUNG: The tales of the Rainbow Serpent

are among the most important

of the Aboriginal lore in Australia.

It can be a punisher of those who are out of line.

Um, it sometimes swallows people.

It can bring chaos and destruction.

So, it's a very awesome force.

MARILYN WALLACE: The Rainbow Serpent is a creator for us.

And it was told by our people

that the Rainbow Serpent created everything for us.

It's a giver of life for us.

And this boulder rock here, Kalkajaka,

is very important because the Rainbow Serpent

lives in the mountains here.

The Rainbow Serpent,

I believe if you disturb her

or do something wrong that you're not supposed to...

...I feel that's when she turns against you.

NARRATOR: To ward off any evil forces from the mountain,

the Aboriginal people

perform a sacred warming and smoking ceremony.

The warming and smoking is for us

to introduce people on our country.

And it's also significant

to let the spirit know

that we're bringing somebody to come and visit.

So, the Rainbow Serpent that lives here,

he smells us and he knows the tribal people from here.

(Mackerle speaking Czech)

(translated): We went there to look for all the mysteries

connected to this area.

And because this was a very abnormal place

where people are disappearing,

we wanted to find an explanation.

So, we entered this mountain and there was a labyrinth of holes.

So, we used rope in order not to lose our way.

And when we came into the middle of the mountain,

we could go up or down or to the sides.

But each time our path was blocked with sand and rocks,

and we could not continue.

It's difficult to say if there are any chambers

or vaults with any monsters,

or a gateway into a different time.

NARRATOR: Although mainstream scientists

believe the strange disappearances at Black Mountain

are most likely due to the area's unique

and dangerous terrain,

ancient astronaut theorists have another,

more otherworldly explanation.

The moment I hear about giant snakes and serpents,

my mind immediately goes to all the other cultures

around the world that talk about similar imagery.

In the Hindu world, for example,

we have the stories about flying serpents,

just like we have the similar stories

in South America with Kukulkan and Quetzalcoatl,

this winged serpent flying around in the sky

which also were described as having been enormous in size.

So, the Rainbow Serpent at Black Mountain,

was that really a biological entity?

Or was it some type

of an extraterrestrial flying machine,

a machine that when people came too close to it,

they fell ill or died because of the fumes or radioactivity?

BIRNES: This could've been a place where thousands of years ago,

ancient aliens might have landed.

And the radiation deep inside the Earth is so intense

that people are dying from radiation poisoning.

And that might well explain why the Black Mountain

in the Outback in Australia is considered an evil place.

FRIDAY: I really believe that

it should be really left alone.

Because they are real.

They do exist.

And I feel that it should be left alone.

NARRATOR: Is it possible that the Black Mountains

functioned as a secret extraterrestrial lair,

as ancient astronaut theorists suggest?

If so, could this explain

not only the tales of mysterious entities

said to inhabit the area but also

the enduring local warnings to stay away?

Perhaps clues can be found

by investigating another dangerous creature

said to be living in the dense jungle

of an isolated island in the Pacific.

When talking about alien lairs,

one place that comes to mind is the Solomon Islands.

All kinds of strange activity has been reported there

-for decades. -CHILDRESS: Yeah,

you have strange lights, mysterious disappearances,

accounts of giants and even Bigfoot sightings.

Right, and the Solomon Islands are so remote,

they would be a perfect hideout

for any visiting E.T.s.

In fact, we talked about this in a 2013 episode

of Ancient Aliens called, "Aliens and Forbidden Islands."

NARRATOR: The Solomon Islands.

800 miles east of Papua New Guinea,

this group of nearly 1,000 isles covers 11,000 square miles.

Though first discovered in 1568 by Spanish explorers,

many people identify this area with World War II

due to the fierce fighting that occurred

between the Japanese and Americans

on the largest island here...

...Guadalcanal.

But Guadalcanal is also infamous for something else:

the countless local legends of giants.

There are mysterious legends all over the Solomons, actually.

A lot of the stories from Guadalcanal

tend to talk about giants,

the relationship between people and giants.

Giants are often portrayed in different ways.

Sometimes, they are benevolent giants.

They help people, they look after people.

But there are stories about giants killing people

and taking over things.

So, giant is a major character

in a lot of the Guadalcanal stories.

There are legends and stories that go way back

that suggest that giants actually still live

on the Solomon Islands.

Some say they're kind of hairy beasts,

Sasquatch-like kind of beings.

Others say they're more humanoid.

And some say they even relate

and kind of mate with the human population.

TSOUKALOS: According to local legends,

those giants were able to travel

the entire length of the island without seeing the light of day

by utilizing subterranean tunnels.

KABUTAULAKA: People talk about it

that giants actually do exist.

They existed in the past.

Today, with all kinds of developments taking place,

they shifted further into the mountains.

They really do exist.

It's not just a mythology to scare children.

NARRATOR: According to one report,

in 1998, workers during a gold-mining operation

witnessed what they believe is proof of the existence

of the giants of Guadalcanal

when one of their bulldozers broke down.

The workers say they removed the ten-ton blade

from the machine to make overnight repairs,

and when they returned to the dig site the next morning,

they were shocked by what they found.

The blade itself had been moved quite a distance,

and they found

footprints of giants in the mud.

So, they could only assume

that these famous giants of the Solomon Islands

had been there and moved the bulldozer blade.

NARRATOR: Could Guadalcanal really be home to giants?

If so, what are they

and where did they come from?

In the book Solomon Islands Mysteries,

author Marius Boirayon, a retired helicopter engineer

who lived on the Solomon Islands

for many years interviewing locals,

unveils a groundbreaking theory.

CHILDRESS: The Australian author Boirayon believed

that incidents of the giants that he had been told about

by the natives were related to UFO activity.

And from what he could put together,

there was some kind of UFO base

deep in the mountains of central Guadalcanal,

and it involved these giants.

And at the same time, there was some kind of

underwater UFO base there as well.

NARRATOR: Eyewitness accounts of UFOs

have been documented on the Solomon Islands for years,

and mysteriously, details reveal that the UFOs

seem to rise out of the surrounding ocean

where warships sank in World War II...

...and vanish into a remote mountain lake on the island.

People often talk about seeing light not only in the sky

but in the ocean as well,

that you see lights in the ocean

and then you see lights flying past,

uh, overhead as well.

And sometimes crashing into the ocean...

...like a plane crashing.

MIKE BARA: There have been sightings of flying saucers

appearing over the wreckage...

...flying into and out of mountains

and volcanoes in the area.

So, the whole area is really pretty interesting.

ANDREW COLLINS: There have been reports that

objects, strange lights,

actually rise up out of the waters

into the air,

and move about for a period of time, uh, and then disappear.

And often, this is either witnessed from the beach

or is experienced at close hand by fishermen.

And it is said that sometimes these objects come so close

that the fishermen can actually feel the heat as they pass.

RICHARD DOLAN: There was a lot of local people

who had said, "Yes, for many years

we've seen these-these types of things happening."

TIM SWARTZ: There are numerous accounts

of abductions,

people who disappear after coming into contact

with these UFOs...

...never to be seen again.

NARRATOR: Could there be a connection

between the legends of the giants of Guadalcanal

and the numerous UFO sightings

that have been reported here over the years?

And might this be evidence

that Guadalcanal really is the site

of an underwater alien base?

Some ancient astronaut theorists believe the answers can be found

by examining stories of other strange creatures

said to inhabit the island.

Creatures like the Adaro.

YOUNG: The Adaro are frightening-looking creatures;

half fish, half man.

They were said to have come from the Sun

by way of rainbows.

They could be dangerous.

They could shoot, uh, poisonous flying fish at you.

So, the notion of some creature

that was of danger and mythological qualities

coming from far away seems alive and well in the Solomon Islands.

Chua-Chua is the story

that a lot of people on Guadalcanal know about,

that these are actually human beings,

but at certain time, they take different forms.

These are energies that can shape-shift into any form.

These are not just stories for entertainment

or for scaring the children, these fears are great.

CHILDRESS: You have to wonder if these famous giants

of the Solomon Islands and these weird beings

were, in fact, extraterrestrials

that were there to protect these secret bases.

NARRATOR: Is it possible that the stories of giants,

sea monsters and other strange beings on Guadalcanal

are really accounts of extraterrestrials?

And if so, might these beings inhabit a vast, concealed base

hidden deep beneath the islands?

As far as ancient astronaut theorists are concerned,

the answer to both questions is a resounding yes.

And they suggest further evidence of alien lairs on Earth

can be found by examining accounts

of towering, hairy giants

of towering, hairy giants

said to reside in the vast cavern systems

of the Pacific Northwest.

NARRATOR: The Siskiyou Mountains,

southwestern Oregon.

In 1874,

hunter Elijah Davidson discovered a large cave

leading to a 500-acre network

of underground tunnels and caverns.

Known as the Oregon Caves,

the ancient subterranean structure

is one of the few marble caves in the world.

Some believe this underground world

is home to the Sasquatch creatures

that have been reported in this area by Native Americans

for hundreds of years.

REDFERN: There are a number of sightings

of these creatures in caves.

A number of explorers hearing

very strange animalistic screams

coming, uh, from these caves

and seeing sort of shadowy lumbering creatures within them.

You know, if you're a large flesh-and-blood animal

seven to eight feet tall,

certainly you're gonna be out hunting all day to-to feed.

But at night, potentially, you know,

with Bigfoot hunters out there, regular hunters,

other wild animals, you need to be careful.

The ideal location to hide out would be underground.

So, you know, maybe that's another reason

we haven't found Bigfoot.

Instead of looking around us,

maybe we should be looking below us.

These cavern systems that exist, uh, worldwide

have not been fully explored.

In fact, probably a very small percentage of them

have been even discovered.

There's the possibility

of a complete potential infrastructure

for Bigfoot to survive on.

No one sees Sasquatches going on highways,

paths and forests moving back and forth.

If we're dealing with nonhuman intelligence,

and nonhumans made them to do work on this planet,

maybe there's a tunnel system.

And that might explain why you could have them in Georgia,

Michigan, Pennsylvania, California, all over.

One thing that's always intrigued me as well

about Bigfoot is this description

of a musky sulfurish-type smell

that's often associated with close encounters.

You know, the Christian version of the devil

and fire and brimstone and that sulfur-type smell

tends to be associated with the subterranean world, or Hell.

So, is there a connection possibly between the idea

of subterranean devils, if you will-- or Lucifer--

and that sulfur smell and that sulfur smell with Bigfoot?

NARRATOR: Is it possible that a race of subterranean creatures

has been living beneath the Earth's surface

without our knowledge?

If so, might Bigfoot have been interacting with us

for thousands of years?

In ancient Greek myths,

we find references to the Troglodytes.

These hairy, beastly-looking creatures

that lived underground

that sometimes were extremely terrifying...

...but sometimes they also were very wise

and taught mankind in various disciplines.

Now, according to the ancient legends,

the Troglodytes are believed to have descended from the sky.

Obviously, they were hiding out somewhere

that was inaccessible to our ancestors.

They wanted to keep their presence a secret.

There are multiple stories that actually talk about

explorations into these tunnels

where sometimes people never returned.

SABINA MAGLIOCCO: People who have done research have found dens,

nests, collections of brush

that are put together in particular patterns

that suggest very large creatures are nesting in them.

And I find that fairly persuasive evidence.

Something is making those dens or nests out of brush.

Something is using those, probably living underground.

CHILDRESS: Throughout the world, there are many extensive

and mysterious, uh, cavern systems

that are linked together.

In Tibet and in India.

Also, in North America.

Some of them also go throughout the Pacific Northwest

like areas like Mount Shasta.

So, it's an interesting idea that Bigfoot

is actually traveling underground

through these tunnel systems,

and those underground bases and tunnel systems

would have been made by extraterrestrials.

NARRATOR: Might extraterrestrials

really have built caves and tunnel systems

to hide the legendary creature known as Bigfoot,

as some ancient astronaut theorists believe?

And if so, is it possible

that these otherworldly beings still dwell there today?

Could Sasquatch-- Bigfoot--

be something that lives here on Earth, underground?

What is the relationship between the Sasquatch,

the nonhuman phenomenon and this planet?

FRANKLIN RUEHL: There is also the possibility

that he is actually an alien creature.

Now, we don't know how intelligent he is,

but one theory is that the Bigfoot is actually

a more intelligent creature, and he's avoiding man,

hiding out in mountainous regions that are cold,

waiting for man to destroy himself,

at which time he'll assume dominance.

And of course he, also, could be

the result of genetic hybridization.

That aliens landed on our planet,

and used DNA to create a hybrid between man and the apes.

All bets are on, but the evidence

that he exists somewhere certainly is strong

based on all of the evidence we've found

in terms of eyewitness observations,

footprints, et cetera.

NARRATOR: Is it really possible

that the creatures we call Bigfoot

have otherworldly origins?

Might that explain their elusiveness

and their rumored tendency

to vanish into remote cave systems?

Ancient astronaut theorists say yes,

and for further evidence,

point to legends of an ancient, advanced race

said to dwell in vast caverns far beneath the Earth's surface.

Artificial intelligence is proving to be

the most powerful new tool for the ancient astronaut theory

because with AI, for example, we can glean new information

from ancient cave art that seems to be deteriorated.

Yeah, that's incredibly important,

because cave art is the only historical record

that we have for some of our most ancient of ancestors.

And some of it seems to indicate alien contact.

Right, and if these extraterrestrial lairs

that we've been talking about exist,

then it's very likely that our ancestors

would have tried to indicate this in some way.

And it may be that we can only see it with AI

because that cave art is so deteriorated.

NARRATOR: Santa Monica, California, 2014.

Here at xRez Studio,

visualization artists Greg Downing and Eric Hanson

are pioneering the use of photogrammetry

and special effects software

to assist archaeologists in the global effort

to decipher ancient cave art.

GREG DOWNING: We use a combination of techniques

from the fields of computational photography and graphics, uh,

in order to help the archaeologists

reveal information difficult to see

just with basic vision when you're there.

NARRATOR: The team recently traveled to the Grand Canyon

to compile a massive, in-depth photographic compilation

of the collection of strange petroglyphs

known as the Shaman's Panel.

ERIC HANSON: We were drawn to the panel

for two primary aspects.

One was the rich layering

of the, uh, anthropomorphic figures and two

is the kind of evocative, uh, surreal nature

of their composition.

DOWNING: This cave is maybe, like, five or six feet deep,

so by using a photogrammetric technique,

we were able to get the detail across the entire painting.

The nice thing about this technique

is we can separate the different dyes and minerals that are used.

And in this case, now we can kind of see

the layering expressed,

we can see figures that are simply lost by the naked eye.

DOWNING: Yeah, that brings it out.

Yeah, that's a complete difference.

NARRATOR: Could modern techniques one day uncover

even more details about what ancient people really saw

and hoped to communicate with rock art?

Some ancient astronaut theorists believe

one compelling clue that modern researchers

might be on the right track can be found, oddly enough,

in contemporary America.

March, 1945.

Amazing Stories magazine publishes an article

entitled "I Remember Lemuria,"

but according to the author, this is the first piece

to appear in the science fiction magazine

that is not fiction at all...

...but an actual account of his own alien abduction.

REDFERN: Richard Shaver was a man who surfaced decades ago

with a story

of underground entities

that were very hostile to the human race.

Terrible creatures that would kidnap and kill

members of the human race.

SWARTZ: They were the first inhabitants of planet Earth.

When the Sun became radioactive,

these people could no longer live on the surface.

Some left in their spaceships.

Others went underground.

NARRATOR: Could Richard Shaver's account

of underground extraterrestrials abducting humans be true?

Shaver proposed that the alien race

that once populated the Earth

had developed highly specialized equipment

that allowed them to embed multifaceted imagery

into stones.

TUCKER: Richard Shaver believed that he had made

the greatest discovery in the history of mankind

about the true nature of intelligent life on Earth.

So, this is an original Shaver photograph of a rock book.

And this multidimensional way of making images

in the rock books was something that Shaver saw as a real sign

of the superior intelligence of the ancient races.

And Shaver believed that these weren't mere rocks

with random patterns, that these were actually

deliberately manufactured artifacts

by the ancient races

who had been here

30,000, 100,000, who knows how many years ago.

NARRATOR: Might Richard Shaver have actually discovered

real physical evidence

that extraterrestrials have been here on planet Earth

and might still be here today?

Whether or not Richard Shaver's stories are true,

it does dovetail with legends across this planet,

of a race of beings

that either created humankind

or were, at least, our ancestors

that had a superior technology.

REDFERN: If we're looking for extraterrestrials,

ironically, the heavens above

might not be the best place to look.

We should perhaps even be looking deep below our feet.

CHILDRESS: In some ways,

exploring the underground cavern world

of planet Earth is-is the final frontier.

NARRATOR: Is it possible that some of the world's

most mysterious caves

really are home to extraterrestrial beings?

And if so, could these alien hideouts

be far more advanced than their crude,

unassuming entrances suggest?

Perhaps further clues can be found in legends

of a mystical underground city

found half a world away,

in the mountains of Tibet.

You can't have a conversation about

extraterrestrial lairs without mentioning Shambhala.

For Hindus and Buddhists, Shambhala is a hidden kingdom

where the gods live on Earth.

Right, and they point to the Himalayas,

and they say that hidden somewhere within these mountains

is an advanced subterranean city

populated by advanced beings who are guiding humanity.

Right, and there's even an ancient Himalayan kingdom

where people mysteriously vanished,

and they had carved tunnels that go deep into the ground.

NARRATOR: Russian painter, philosopher

and archaeologist Nicholas Roerich

embarks on an unprecedented expedition

into the uncharted territory of the Tibetan plateau

on a quest to find the lost kingdom of Shambhala.

On August 5, 1927,

Roerich notes a strange object in the skies

while traveling through the mountains

along the northeastern border of Tibet.

Roerich writes that they were looking up at the sky

watching an eagle fly around, and then suddenly, they saw

a sort of oval-shaped object

moving from north to south

at very fast speeds pass over them.

NEWMAN: At one of his later lectures in 1935,

Nicholas Roerich described his sighting as

a spacecraft or an aerial vehicle

that must have come from Shambhala itself.

NARRATOR: Did Nicholas Roerich witness an alien craft

in Tibet nearly a century ago,

decades before the era of modern UFO sightings began?

And if so, is it possible that the traditions

that have endured here for centuries

reflect not only a profound spirituality

but are tied to an otherworldly presence?

Perhaps further clues can be found

by examining an early Buddhist civilization

that suddenly and mysteriously disappeared.

Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, 2020.

Towering at over 12,000 feet,

these ancient ruins are all that is left

of the mysterious Buddhist kingdom of Guge.

Established in the tenth century,

this civilization flourished for 700 years.

But then, according to local legend,

its inhabitants vanished.

The ruins of this early city are truly amazing.

They're in the southwest corner of Tibet,

and there are thousands of what were temples and palaces,

mostly gone now.

This was a kingdom of great influence in its time.

This magnificent capital had artwork over all the walls,

images of the Buddha, sacred carvings

and images of all kind.

It had power, it had glory, and now it is nothing.

HENRY: Guge was in continuous operation

until it mysteriously virtually disappeared.

Nobody knows exactly what happened there

or why people stopped living there

or why they, where they went.

NARRATOR: Guge was brought under the rule

of the Central Tibetan government in 1680,

but remained largely isolated and independent

for more than 200 years.

Then, in the early 20th century,

the Tibetan government decided to finally start taxing

the residents of Guge,

but when soldiers arrived to collect,

they were shocked to find that the entire population,

an estimated 100,000 people, had disappeared.

Where they went remains a complete mystery,

and many Tibetans believe the reason why

is because the people of Guge traveled deep underground.

CHILDRESS: The fortress of Guge

had all kinds of tunnels and hidden staircases

that went underground and went inside this mountain.

So, even though it was, uh, ruins already,

when archaeologists went there, they were astounded

that this city of Guge apparently led inside the Earth.

What people seemed to believe was that if you were to follow

these tunnels far enough into the Earth,

you would eventually come to that hidden city of Shambhala,

a-an active city full of light and-and power.

NARRATOR: Did the people of this ancient civilization

flee underground on an epic pilgrimage

to the mythic kingdom of Shambhala?

And if so, where did their path lead?

Some researchers believe the tunnels of Guge

lead to a holy mountain to the east

that can be clearly seen from these ruins...

...Mount Kailash.

Every year, thousands of pilgrims make

the treacherous journey to the base of this sacred peak.

DOMINIC STEAVU: Every year, there are pilgrimages

around Mount Kailash in order to gain the blessing and...

maybe even some of the powers associated

with the residing gods and-and Buddhas and deities,

of Mount Kailash.

It lasts up to four weeks if it's done correctly,

with full prostrations at every step.

And it's also a very unforgiving landscape,

so many people end up giving up,

and some of them also end up dying.

NARRATOR: According to ancient Buddhist texts

known as the Kalachakra tantra,

the kingdom of Shambhala can be found "behind" Mount Kailash,

or as some interpret it, "within."

And many who have stared up at this sacred peak

have observed mysterious objects in the sky.

Mount Kailash is at the center of all sorts of mysteries.

Uh, UFO sightings, the hint that there might be

something hidden there, but it's unknowable.

HENRY: There are many myths and legends

and strange things that have gone on at Mount Kailash.

People go there on pilgrimages,

but they're told not to stay there long

because there's something radioactive inside the mountain.

And we're told that people live there both in physical form

and in nonphysical form.

It has to be

one of the strangest places on the planet.

NARRATOR: Is it possible that the mysterious phenomena

occurring at Mount Kailash,

and its association with Shambhala,

is connected to extraterrestrial activity?

Ancient astronaut theorists suggest answers can be found

by studying the sacred Buddhist monuments known as stupas,

found all throughout Nepal, India and Tibet,

including at the ruins of Guge.

HENRY: For centuries, people have been sighting UFOs

or unexplained craft coming in and out of Mount Kailash.

It's very interesting, when you compare the shape

of the stupas that we find in Tibet,

with these dome shapes and how they highly resemble

some kind of extraterrestrial craft sitting on the ground.

So, perhaps people saw these craft

entering into Kailash and decided,

we're gonna build stupas in remembrance of what they saw.

TSOUKALOS: A stupa by definition

is a vehicle with which to reach the realm of the gods.

That is the definition of a stupa.

Well, just change the wording of "vehicle"

with which to reach space.

These stupas can be seen, for example, in the Ajanta Cave,

with smoke and fire at the, at the bottom.

What more do you want?

It's no longer a symbol, it is the truth.

NARRATOR: Might the Buddhist stupas of Tibet

be monuments to alien craft

witnessed flying in and around Mount Kailash,

a site believed by many to be the kingdom of Shambhala?

And if so, how has it remained hidden for millennia?

And could it be that somewhere on the slopes of this mountain

is the entrance to a hidden extraterrestrial realm?

While countless expeditions have tried and failed

to find the legendary kingdom, shocking discoveries

in remote cave systems around the world

indicate that the myth of alien lairs on Earth

may actually be grounded in reality.

We have thousands of modern-day reports

of encounters with what are purported to be alien beings.

We tend to focus outwards

looking for extraterrestrials,

but maybe we should really be focusing underneath

the surface of our Earth.

TSOUKALOS: Right. There are people who believe

that reptilian-like beings

live in underground lairs right here on Earth.

CHILDRESS: Yeah, I traveled

to Sacsayhuamán with Hugh Newman back in 2019,

and we explored an ancient tunnel

allegedly used by these serpent beings.

NARRATOR: Vietnam.

Phong Nha-Ke Bàng National Park.

Located deep within the Southeast Asian jungles

is the world's largest cave system,

the Son Doòng Cave.

HENRY: It's 3 million years old,

650 feet high, 550 feet wide...

...and extends in an astounding three miles into the Earth.

It actually has its own ecosystem with a jungle...

...and even a lake inside of it.

JOHN RHODES: When the cave was first discovered,

there was a Vietnamese logger

who was doing illegal logging in the area.

He discovered the cave...

...and then encountered some sort of a creature

that looked like a dragon-humanoid being.

NARRATOR: Since the site was opened to the public in 2013,

there have been multiple eyewitness accounts

of a reptile-like humanoid in and around the area.

According to UFO investigators,

the Son Doòng reports are just the latest

in the increasing number of reptoid sightings

in remote areas with known cave systems.

There are many stories of people encountering

lizard men or snake people

who might be in caves or who might be near a cave

o-on the surface just walking around,

and those unfortunate enough

to stumble across these reptilians are terrified

because the reptilians can be very aggressive.

NARRATOR: Is it possible that the Son Doòng Caves

are home to a race of reptile beings living beneath our feet?

As far as ancient astronaut theorists are concerned,

such a bizarre notion is entirely possible.

In fact, encounters with these creatures

have become so common that the UFO community

now has a name for them: the reptilians.

RHODES: Reptilian humanoids, or reptoids,

are described as being beings

that are about seven to eight feet tall,

they have a humanoid structure.

Their skin is either beaded like a lizard

or either scaled like a snake.

NARRATOR: In addition to Southeast Asia,

another location where reptilian sightings have been reported

is the area of Cuzco, Peru, high in the Andes Mountains.

According to the stories of the Inca,

and the even more ancient cultures that preceded them,

a race of reptilian beings once inhabited this land.

They even built some of the massive stone structures

that still exist here today.

In April 2019, ancient astronaut theorist

David Hatcher Childress

and researcher Hugh Newman traveled to Cuzco

to investigate a possible connection

between the ancient stories of reptilians

and sightings of these creatures

that have been reported in the last few years.

Joining them as their guide is Jorge Luis Delgado,

an expert on the native Andean civilizations.

CHILDRESS: You know, Peru in general is just

so full of mystery.

To me, it's really the land of the unexplained and adventure.

I never get tired of coming here, and I-I--

there's always something new to see.

-Some new, incredible mystery to find. -Yeah.

No, I agree. I mean, you've got-- not only,

you've got the megalithic temple,

you've got Machu Picchu,

Cuzco and other sites, you've got Nazca,

you've got all these mysterious underground tunnels

that stretch across the country.

All these amazing myths and legends

relating to these serpent gods.

So, there's something really special about this place.

NARRATOR: The sprawling fortress of Sacsayhuamán

covers more than 11 square miles

and is filled with some of the most perplexing

megalithic constructions in the world.

CHILDRESS: They're all unique, each one is unique,

but so perfectly cut and fitted together.

It's always astonishing to see it.

NARRATOR: Mainstream historians date the megalithic fortress

to the 12th century AD, and credit its construction

to a pre-Incan civilization called the Killke.

However, a growing body of evidence suggests

that the structures may actually predate the Killke

and belong to an even older civilization.

A civilization that, according to ancient astronaut theorists,

may have been not entirely human.

NEWMAN: Oh, wow, look at this.

-All right, so... -That's the one, isn't it?

Yeah. Is this the stone you were talking about, then?

CHILDRESS: So, this is a serpent, this is the head

-of the serpent here? -DELGADO: It goes around.

NEWMAN: And how far does it go?

NEWMAN: And can you see the tail on it?

CHILDRESS: So, you're saying that the builders

are purposely putting a serpent into the walls here?

But is it the serpent people who are building this?

Are they showing that we are the serpent people

and we are the builders?

NARRATOR: The stonework serpent

is just one of many found embedded

within the constructions of the walls around Cuzco.

Might these depictions suggest a connection

at the megalithic site with snake-like beings?

Throughout Peru and the Andes,

there are many, many legends

of tunnels, underground chambers.

And the Peruvians themselves believe

that this underground tunnel system

has something to do with these serpent deities,

which they call the Amaru there.

So, this is the entrance.

-Look... -Oh, wow.

-Look at that. -DELGADO: Beautiful carvings.

CHILDRESS: Wow, look at these high ceilings here.

NEWMAN: Yeah.

There's another shelf. Watch your step right here.

Here's another side tunnel right there.

NEWMAN: Oh, yeah. God, it must be carved out as well, isn't it?

Looks like, yeah. Do you think this

is one of the tunnels, side tunnels that might lead

deeper into this underground city of the Amarus?

Sometimes people are seen

coming out of these tunnels, right?

And I mean, you're saying spirits, but also,

people as well, right?

CHILDRESS: Do they have a-a serpent-like

appearance?

Do they look, do they look like serpents?

NARRATOR: Is it possible that a race

of reptilian humanoids still exists

somewhere deep underground?

But if so, why haven't they made their presence known?

Perhaps the answer can be found by examining the story

of a government mining contractor

who claims he came face-to-face

with these otherworldly entities.

NARRATOR: Dulce, New Mexico.

This unassuming town has been home

to the Jicarilla Apache Indian tribe

for over six centuries.

Jicarilla Apache folklore

is filled with stories of interactions with star people,

including lizard and ant men

they describe as living underground.

To them, those star people are as active

and interactive with the planet now as they ever have been.

It was Western civilization that ran by

and buried the whole issue of extraterrestrials

and reptiles as mythological.

But it is the Jicarilla Apaches in Dulce

who will also tell you that they know

that there are some type of beings

that are underground in Dulce and that the keys

are Mount Archuleta

and Archuleta Mesa.

And below those two, there are deep underground bases

that have been operated by some form

of reptilian-related being for centuries.

NARRATOR: According to government insiders,

located nearly two miles beneath the surface

is indeed a secret subterranean military base

known as the Dulce Air Force Base.

The base is rumored to extend seven levels underground

with the lowest levels occupied by extraterrestrial species.

Whistleblower Phil Schneider

claimed to have worked on the construction

of these deep underground military bases

for the U.S. government.

Phil Schneider was a very interesting geologist

used by the U.S. government to do

excavations of large areas under military contract

where they were essentially going to be building

large caverns and connecting underground passageways.

NARRATOR: On May 8, 1995,

Schneider gave a presentation in Post Falls, Idaho,

and claimed he was attacked by extraterrestrials

deep underground.

NARRATOR: According to Phil, at the time of his encounter,

his team had been contracted to create an addition

to the existing Dulce underground base.

They were drilling holes deep into the ground

and using explosives to create caverns...

...when they encountered numerous Grey

and reptilian aliens.

NARRATOR: Phil Schneider later described

learning about genetic experiments

conducted by the same extraterrestrial beings

he encountered at Dulce Air Force Base.

But sadly, he would never get the chance

to provide further information.

Just eight months after his presentation in Post Falls...

...Philip Schneider was found dead in his apartment

with rubber tubing wrapped around his neck.

-(siren wailing) -Those who knew him best were shocked

when his death was ruled a suicide,

and many insisted this was a cover story

for an assassination.

Part of what I'm going to tell you

is going to be very shocking.

SALLA: If people had learned of what Phil Schneider

was revealing, they would have understood

that there had been agreements reached

between the U.S. government

and some of these extraterrestrial civilizations.

NARRATOR: Did Phil Schneider encounter

the same reptilian extraterrestrials

that the Inca credited with creating underground cities

in the southern highlands of Peru hundreds of years ago?

If so, could remote places like mountains,

islands and caves serve as hidden strongholds

for beings not entirely of this world?

Perhaps, someday soon,

we will discover that the alien intelligences

we've been desperately searching the cosmos for

have been here on Earth all along.

It's so amazing to think about

these extraterrestrial lairs

hidden away in these remote places.

Mountains, caves, islands.

But it makes a lot of sense.

Oh, absolutely.

Because of course you would pick the most remote of locations.

CHILDRESS: Yeah, uh, we have these certain areas,

particularly around the world,

that are said to be inhabited by extraterrestrials

or the gods.

Yeah, so we know these places exist, they're there...

...but the question is, will the extraterrestrials allow us

to discover these places and even enter into them?
