Original subtitles

I'm a girl disguised as a boy, a fake prince.

I just wanted to live a life of leisure and do nothing

, but unexpectedly,

my father suddenly passed away,

and the throne

fell to me.

But I'm a woman!

What if someone finds out? I need help

urgently

!

Oh no! Oh no! Your Majesty! The princes are not satisfied

!

The late emperor

passed the throne to you!

They're arguing at the entrance of the main hall!

Ha

! Hurry, hurry, hurry!

How could the emperor possibly pass the throne to Xiao Jiu

? He's a cowardly, incompetent good-for-nothing! Does

he deserve to inherit the throne?

This edict

must be fake! It's

the emperor's edict! It

even has the imperial seal on it!

Let's see who dares to... "It's fake!

Father,

quickly summon the imperial physician!

Xiao Jiu,

you must

protect

the empire

and stabilize the court

for me!

Father , you must persuade your

worthless brothers not to kill each other!

Your son is incompetent

and fears

he will fail

your trust

, but your son

will do his utmost!

This glass pendant

can help you find

the person who will protect you for life!

You must

cherish it!

Father

, Father

, Father,

Father,

Father...

You, a useless good

-for-nothing, dare to flaunt a fake imperial edict here!

Regent's

power... Kyushu

is famous for its expressionless face,

yet it's damnably handsome,

even with a blank expression..."

He's always so handsome;

I wonder how dashing he'll be

when his expressions are lively.

The late emperor's edict is here

! Who dares question it

? Kneel down immediately!

Long

live

the Emperor! Long live

the Emperor! Long live the Emperor! Long live the Emperor

! Long live

the Emperor!

I've been thrust into this position,

not only by the Regent,

but also by my ambitious brothers.

I can't control them either.

Perhaps I should take the initiative

to make peace, cling tightly to the Regent's leg,

and send a message to the Regent

saying, "I want to see him.

Remember,

do it secretly." "

Your Majesty

, what brings you to me?

Please sit,

my dear minister .

I

need you.

My elder brother

is eyeing the throne

covetously.

I am isolated, yet I have no resentment ." Without anyone's help,

we might

not even see the sun rise tomorrow.

I need your

assistance

to break this deadlock .

Your Majesty, may you find peace.

Oh,

Your Highness, you can't leave!

My father once said

he would assist me.

Do you want to betray his spirit in heaven?

Besides

,

no one else can help me. I

never do

anything that doesn't benefit

me . If I help you,

what will I gain?

In front of outsiders,

I'm the boss

, you're second.

But when no one else is around,

I'm second,

you're the boss,

okay?

Your Highness

, I really don't want to die.

If you agree to my request,

will you let... I can do anything, I

can do anything.

Hmm,

I didn't mean to.

Aren't you going to help me up?

You

...you...you hurt your back.

I'll go get the imperial physician.

But I can't go.

If people find out I'm injured,

the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince will definitely take the opportunity to cause trouble.

The court

will become even more turbulent.

Hmm

...sigh

...

Your Highness,

I didn't expect

that the usually

powerful and majestic prince with unparalleled martial arts skills

is actually a weakling. He

fainted just from being pressed down by me

. He actually suffers from a stubborn headache.

How pitiful

. Yes,

he has this weakness.

I

can easily manipulate

him . I know

what to use to make a deal with him.

Wake up.

This little good-for-nothing usually

likes to read all sorts of random books.

He wouldn't have done anything to me, would he?

Your Highness usually suffers from headaches

and can't sleep at night.

How do you know I have a headache?

I can help you.

This pill

can relieve Your Highness's headache.

Your Highness can know

whether I'm lying to you

after taking it

. Do you think I'm a three-year-old child?

You think you can make me believe you

with just one pill ?

I'm going to cling to Your Highness's leg.

Your Highness is still wondering

if I poisoned you.

Why should I take the other half of

this pill? The prince looks soft and cuddly,

but he's not stupid at all.

He knows to use the most direct method to make a deal.

Perhaps

he's more worthy of my assistance and more interesting

than I imagined.

Rumors say

the Ninth Prince is a good-for-nothing who only knows how to eat,

drink, and be merry, a lazy bum who'll just wait to die

. I never expected

him to be so skilled in medicine!

These medicines

can only alleviate

Your Highness's headaches.

If Your Highness agrees to cooperate with me

, I'm confident I can

cure your headaches at their root

. Medicine is an essential skill for survival in the palace.

I was thinking that if my secret were ever exposed,

I'd take my mother and run away,

relying on my medical skills and the properties I'd previously acquired

... I won't starve to death on the streets.

In just a short while,

my headache actually subsided.

This Ninth Prince is indeed hiding some skills.

I will naturally follow the late Emperor's will

to protect the Emperor.

However,

I advise the Emperor

not to play tricks.

I can protect you,

but I can also cripple you.

I'm keeping a close

watch on

their movements.

Father

,

if

you knew I was a girl,

would you still have passed the throne to me?

Your Highness, how dare you!

I can do even bolder things

. Damn it,

why did I dream of

doing that kind of shameful thing with Quan Jiuzhou?

Could it be

because I've read too many erotic novels? I

not only had a wet dream

, but I also mistook that little good-for-nothing for a girl.

It's absurd!

Jiang Yunxi,

you must take responsibility for me.

Don't kill me.

Did

Quan Jiuzhou discover that I'm a girl

and come to expose me?

Or does he really have a special fetish?

Hey,

Regent,

what are you doing?

The Emperor hurt my back!

Shouldn't you take responsibility?

I will take responsibility,

Jiang Yunxi.

Concentrate!

What are you thinking? An

ordinary person would have cried out in pain long agony.

Quan Jiuzhou, however, remains silent.

You're a ruthless person!

I have never been close to women.

Could it

be that you have

homosexual tendencies?

Now, treat my headache.

As long as Your Highness helps me resolve the issues

with my third and sixth brothers,

I will treat your headache.

Why should I help you?

You are the Regent.

It is only right that Your Highness takes charge of state affairs on my behalf.

Besides,

it's time to teach them a lesson.

You ask me for help,

so do I have to?

If Your Highness agrees to help me,

this medicine

is for Your Highness,

enough for a while.

However,

this medicine can only relieve the symptoms.

After the matter is settled

, I will treat Your Highness's headache. You

're playing games.

You want me to help Your Highness treat your headache

on the condition that

Your Highness helps me

govern the country ?

I originally thought Your Highness

was a man of his word.

If Your Highness had readily agreed just now,

I would never have done this.

But seeing the scene just now,

I need to consider it some more.

This good-for-nothing is really a

cunning little

devil. I hate being threatened the most. Do you really think that

all the doctors

in the world

are dead?

I will definitely beg you.

Over the years,

Your Highness has spent a lot of money

to hire many famous doctors

, and what have been the results?

Your Highness knows in your heart.

And does

Your Highness's back

still hurt?

Whether you agree or not

is up to you

. Your Highness can decide for yourself.

I have to go to court.

Alright,

Your Highness will help you.

Third Prince and Sixth

Prince The prince

and several officials have trespassed into the palace.

Please proceed to the Imperial Study immediately.

His Majesty's

will is for

the late Prince Lou Yi.

How can this be? This

is treason!

My lords,

Xiao Jiu is a cowardly, weak-

minded good-for-nothing.

How could Father possibly

pass the throne

to him? Although Father

despises

the deposed Crown Prince, he dotes on the Crown Prince's eldest son,

Jiang Yuxi

.

Father personally instructed him

to make him

the Crown

Prince's eldest grandson. Jiang Yuxi,

indeed !

This is the real will!

Father truly intends to pass the

throne to my nephew, Jiang Yuxi!

My lords,

you must obey Father's last wishes

and uphold justice for Yuxi!

Jiang Yunxi,

when Father passed away,

you were alone in his bedchamber. You

must have coerced Father

into passing the throne to you

! Guards

, seize Jiang Yunxi and throw

him into the death row!

Who dares to touch me?

Then tell me, where did

this will

come from?

Naturally, from Father's bedchamber.

Now that there are two wills

, one must be fake.

Why not present both wills

to the entire court

and have

the scholars of the Hanlin Academy

investigate

them together? "How can you convince

people?

I have already seen

the will of

the Third Prince

and the

Sixth

Prince. It is

genuine. Ninth Prince , you have never been

involved in politics. Why don't you take the initiative to step down and become a

leisurely prince?

You can preserve your life.

The handwriting on the will

is indeed exactly the same

as the late

emperor's , but in fact

, someone is just

imitating the late

emperor's handwriting

. What makes you say it's a forgery?

It's because I am the

regent personally appointed by the late emperor.

Haha, the Prince of Power, you

wouldn't become a good

-for-nothing overnight by assisting

this little good-for-nothing

, would

you?

How could

I do this? What did you do to the Third Prince?

I am just a little good-for-

nothing. What

could I do to the Third Prince

? I guess

the Third Prince

wants

to perform a good-for-

nothing act

for everyone . This

little good-for-nothing looks quite honest, but I didn't expect him

to have so many

tricks

up his sleeve. He really has some skills

. Even if the handwriting is fake

, the seal on the will is

real, isn't it?

Bring him up and

kneel down.

He said

that the Sixth Prince ordered this servant

to steal the imperial seal and stamp it.

This dog servant

dares to make false accusations.

I will kill him!

Stop! Third Prince

, Sixth Prince

..." "Your Highnesses

, you are both confused!

Forging an imperial edict

is a capital offense!

What

do you intend to do with

your two princes

? Send men

to take the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince

away!

When the Emperor

was young,

your Sixth Prince often bullied you.

You should have him executed

! Nonsense

! You clearly ordered me

to hold him in the bucket of water

, and now you're turning the tables!

Your Majesty, your

Third Brother

once urinated in your Mother's

cup!

You should have him killed!

What kind of behavior is this?

Your

Majesty, Your

Highness,

the two princes are injured.

Why not send them to

the Imperial Hospital for treatment?

We can discuss their punishment after they recover.

Jiang Yunfeng and Jiang Yunyi

have committed treason

and are to be

imprisoned in the death row.

No one is allowed to visit them.

Release them!

Release them!

Behave

yourself ! The two princes deliberately

injured each other

to gain

the Emperor's sympathy

and lessen their punishment.

The Emperor saw through

their tricks

at a glance and showed

no mercy . They are promising talents!

Ministers,

just now

you all joined

the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince in

committing

treason. I don't understand,

are you all

blind

and unable to distinguish right from wrong,

or are

you just like them?" "Your Highness, you

harbor treacherous intentions

and plot to usurp the throne! You're too

kind.

We've

been deceived.

Ministers,

do you have any objections

to a two-year salary deduction

? The day after tomorrow

is the late emperor's funeral,

followed by

the enthronement ceremony

. Is Your

Majesty prepared?

With Your Highness here,

what do I have to worry

about? Please,

Your Highness

, summon my mother.

Your Majesty

trusts me so much.

Aren't you afraid I

'll use Consort Ka's

life as leverage to

manipulate you?

Who in the court doesn't know Your Highness

holds considerable military

power and is ambitious

? If Your Highness

truly intended to rebel,

would you need to go through all this trouble?

Since Your Majesty

possesses such

a clear mind

and decisive judgment

, why

did you previously feign a

weak and incompetent little good-for-nothing?

If I hadn't pretended, I

would have been

cannon fodder in the struggle for the throne

long ago , not alive now!

Brother Jiuzhou

, I beg you, release my sixth brother!

As long as you release my sixth brother,

I'm willing to do anything

! ( Go away

!)

As long as Brother Jiuzhou

is willing to release my sixth brother,

I'm willing to

give myself to you! " Benyu

has no interest in you. The Sixth Prince

forged the

imperial edict and deserves to die.

Moreover,

it wasn't me who

imprisoned him ,

but the Emperor.

The person you should be asking

is in

Quan Jiuzhou.

He's just a good-for-nothing.

You are the Regent.

Releasing Sixth Brother

is just a matter of your word.

That good- for -

nothing wouldn't dare disobey you.

The good-for-nothing

you're talking about

is me,

a good- for-nothing.

I advise you to be sensible and

release my Sixth Brother.

Otherwise,

how can

I

send you to the dungeon

to reunite with your Sixth Brother?

Brother Jiuzhou,

he's bullying me

, please help me!

Get lost!

I feel disgusted just looking at you.

It must be that good -for-nothing

Jiang Yunxi who

spoke ill of me

to Brother Jiuzhou

that makes him hate me. My

father is really senile

to pass the throne to

this good-for-nothing.

Brother Jiuzhou

, you are wise and mighty.

How can you assist

such a lowly person

with a brain full of weeds?

You

should lock him up

with dogs

and make him fight with them for food

. Slap him!

Hey,

Sixth Princess,

you are a princess after all.

Your Highness is

too rude.

I remember

she likes

Qishui

food

the most

. Give it to her.

You forced me to eat Qishui water before

, now

I'm just giving you a taste

of your own

medicine. You trash

, you dare to humiliate me?

I'll make you suffer a terrible death!

She won't

eat? I'll force her to eat!

How absurd ! Protect

the Emperor!

Protect the Emperor!

Seize the assassin

! Follow me!

They've come!

Who is the mastermind this time?

Nephew

, you must protect me!

Ninth

Uncle, don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you!

If Jiang Yuxi is plotting to assassinate me,

the assassins will not dare to shoot arrows again!

Nephew, you've been hit by an arrow!

Quickly summon the

Imperial Physician!

The arrow is poisoned;

the Prince must be given an antidote immediately!

Hurry up

and take the Prince to the Imperial Hospital

! Yes

, hurry!

These assassins are all

skilled archers.

Tell me

, who

sent you to assassinate the Emperor?

These people are all death

squads! Your Highness, who do you think

is behind

this

assassination attempt

? In my opinion, most of

these people

were secretly planted by my

third

and sixth brothers.

The third and sixth princes

are indeed suspects;

after all, they've

been imprisoned for many days,

so ordinary people

wouldn't suspect them.

This

has actually become

their cover.

However,

there's another suspect

—

Jiang Yuxi.

But if he's the mastermind

, why did he

shield me from that sword strike

and nearly lose his life?

He didn't expect

Your Majesty to hide behind him,

so

he just went along with it

. Your Majesty, what are you doing

treating the prince's head?

Untying

the hair

is something only my wife

can do.

Untie the hair

, comb it first

, then do acupuncture.

This will promote

blood circulation

and improve the effect.

If you mind,

then untie it yourself.

That's how you treat

this head . His hair

is like silk,

so black, shiny, and smooth!

How many pounds of black sesame seeds

did he eat ? This hair quality is simply too good!

It would sell for hundreds of taels of silver

in the city's

wig shops

. Usually,

who helps Your Highness with his

hair ? There are servants attending

to you.

Now

it's changed to

my mother,

the most beautiful woman in Jiang Kingdom.

The scene of her dressing

her son up beautifully

every day to go to court

must be quite a sight!

I'm about to begin! Your

Majesty

is so young. Who did you learn

your medical skills from? Did you

read medical books

and then buy pork to braid your hair

? I hope Your Majesty

won't mistake me for

pork!

Alright,

Your Highness, after you go back,

you can drink mint leaf tea

to clear heat and soothe

your body.

Your Highness , you can go back now.

Help me put on your wig.

Didn't Your Highness just say...

"Untying and binding my hair

is something only a prince's wife

can do.

I've thought about it carefully.

The emperor is a man,

so it's alright

. Your Highness, what are you doing?

I'm being presumptuous.

Has

he already guessed that

I'm a woman?

In any case,

I must keep this secret.

I'll let it go because Your Highness

could

n't control yourself when

your headache flared up,

but this is a one-time exception.

I'll return to my palace first.

The emperor is handsome and

slender

than most men.

Even his words and actions

exude a woman's

delicate charm.

Could it be

impossible?

If the emperor is truly a woman,

how did he manage

to hide it from the late emperor and

the palace servants ?

I've really fallen for

a man.

No,

I must go back and

investigate further.

Your Highness

, why are you back again?

The emperor is bathing.

Please wait outside the palace

for a moment

. Go

and

serve the emperor first.

Yes ,

this glass pendant is

exactly the same as the one the late emperor gave me.

I

and your father

are brothers who have entrusted each other with life and death.

We have

saved each other's lives.

This glass pendant

is a testament to our brotherhood.

Now..."

" My

time is drawing near

.

As a father,

I

beg you

to

stabilize the court

and protect the new emperor.

Your subject

obeys.

I dreamt of

being intimate with Your Majesty.

Could

Your Majesty be a woman

? Fortunately, I wore a white cloth

while bathing.

I didn't cover myself,

which dispelled

his suspicions.

What is the

Regent 's purpose

in breaking into my palace at night

?

Why is Your Majesty wearing a white cloth

on your chest ? You were injured recently

and haven't fully recovered,

have you?

Why

must I remove the white cloth

to show the Regent?

Your Majesty's chest is flat,

no different from mine.

I was overthinking it.

There's no need.

I came here today

mainly to inquire about

Your Majesty's sleep.

Have you dreamt of any

strange people or things?

With Your Majesty's protection

, I naturally

sleep soundly until dawn.

" He asked if I had a dream

before he uncontrollably kissed me.

Did

he

have the same dream

as me ? But

how could I have

the same dream as him?

Your Majesty

, how dare you desecrate

the Emperor's body

! Get out ! Your Majesty

, don't

move.

Although you have been cured of the poison..."

Your life is not in danger

, but you still need to rest.

You saved my life today,

and I have already bestowed upon you the title of Prince Yu. Your

Majesty

,

I thank Your Majesty for your

great favor . This is all well-deserved.

My elder brother and sixth

brother sent assassins, and I

almost caused your death.

I will not let them go.

I beg Your Majesty to spare

the lives of

my third and sixth uncles.

They must have been misled

and acted

rashly . They did not

intend to harm Your Majesty

, nor do I wish to harm them,

after all, they are my brothers. However,

the Regent

is ruthless and

autocratic,

and will certainly not let them go.

I am willing to share Your Majesty's burdens

. "Cultivating power,

winning over the hearts of

civil and military officials, and taking back control of the court

as soon as possible —

that's good

. Then you'd better get well soon

so you can help me,

Jiang Yuxi.

Even if you hide it well, you

'll eventually reveal

your true colors.

Are you here to laugh at me,

Sixth Brother

? I

'm here to help you.

Why are you so kind?

Third Brother

has already confessed to the Regent

that you were

the mastermind behind

the fake edict

. The Regent

will definitely kill the chickens and monkeys

to

stabilize the court.

Alas, Sixth Brother

, we're brothers, and I really

can't bear

to see you

like this

. Nonsense! The idea

was all Third Brother's.

He

also had someone

imitate Father's handwriting.

Now he dares to push the blame

onto me.

I want to argue with him.

He bribed the eunuchs

to

affix the imperial

seal on the fake edict.

I

bribed the eunuchs to affix it.

But

how could I have come up with

such an idea? Third

Brother is the mastermind.

Sixth Brother,

please calm down.

I

will handle it appropriately

and have him sign

it. Your Majesty, what a brilliant strategy!

Regent,

what a coincidence that

you're here too!

Your Majesty

used a little trick

to get these two to confess.

But

how did I become the scapegoat?

You and I

are... " Why should

an alliance care

who takes the blame?

Hahaha.

If I ever

need Your Majesty's help in the future

, Your Majesty cannot refuse

. So

, what does

Your Majesty intend to do

with the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince? What

brilliant ideas do you have,

Regent ?

Punish them to guard the Imperial Mausoleum

and not to return to the capital without summons.

This would both eliminate the hidden danger

and demonstrate Your Majesty's

benevolence

. It has to be the Regent!

I admire you!

As a monarch, you should

have ruthless methods.

Your Majesty is always so soft-hearted,

which will inevitably leave hidden dangers.

I

have learned my lesson

. Very well

, I will protect you myself.

Are you really not

the woman of my dreams?

Why

do I feel so uneasy

every time I see you ?

Why have I lost control again?

Your Highness is here!

I'll give you acupuncture right

away . Hey, no rush!

I need to tell you some news

first.

The Third Prince and the Sixth Prince

were kidnapped

on their way to the Imperial Mausoleum.

But Your Majesty, rest assured

, I will capture them as

soon as possible

. I know.

Your Majesty, out of brotherly affection,

spare their lives.

However, I hope Your Majesty understands

that they are not willing to admit defeat

and will

surely

make a comeback.

The

day of the coronation ceremony will be

their best opportunity.

So

Your Majesty is already prepared.

With Your Highness's security arrangements,

what do I need to worry about?

It's getting late.

I'll give you acupuncture.

Are you trying to murder your husband?

How could I

say those four words?

It's absurd!

But why

don't I feel anything

amiss

when I say them?

He

must have discovered

I'm a woman.

What should I do?

Your

Majesty

, why is your waist so thin

? It doesn't look like a man's at all!

You're

talking

nonsense!

A man's waist...

" You've lost some weight

lately from being so busy with state affairs.

This princess wants to see Jiang Yunxi. Your Highness,

the Emperor

has already retired

. Please

come again tomorrow. This princess insists on going in.

How dare you, a lowly palace maid

, stop me,

Your Highness?

You should hide!

Why should I hide

? I, the dignified Regent,

have never hidden from you.

Jiang Yunxi

, what right do you have to punish my sixth brother

by sending him

to guard the imperial tombs

? Because I am the Emperor,

holding the power of life and death

over the world! You're just a

useless little brat with a brain

full of Qishui water. When has Father ever valued you

? How could you have passed the throne to you?

Oh,

then

who should the throne have been passed to?

To the one who forged the will and

usurped the throne?

Which of my brothers

isn't more capable than you

? You must have killed Father

and altered the will

.

I will avenge Father and

reclaim the throne for my sixth brother!

Jiang Yunxi,

last time you forced me to drink water

and humiliated me.

Now you dare to hit me again

?" "Drag her out,

I'll fight you to the death!

" The Regent

loves me dearly, and

today you've

wronged me terribly.

He will surely kill you for me.

Jiang Yunxi,

you just wait!

It seems Your Highness

values my sixth sister

very much.

You love her dearly,

why don't you go and comfort her?

I wonder if Your Majesty

has any other sisters who

look

remarkably like you?

Last time he took liberties with me, and

today he's testing me again.

Could it be that

he's already guessed

I'm a woman?

I have two other sisters

whose appearances

are quite different from mine

. If Your Highness wishes to bestow a marriage

upon me, I don't want

to think about it. It's because I 've

been abstaining from women

for many years, and lately

I've been spending day and night with Your Majesty,

that I've mistaken him for a woman

in my dreams. I must

keep my distance from him

in the future

to avoid doing anything outrageous again. What

are you doing?

This soft armor is impervious to swords and spears;

perhaps it can save your life

at a crucial moment.

This Regent seems...

He's quite aloof

and wary of people,

but after spending time with him,

he's actually quite humane.

The auspicious

hour has arrived! Your Majesty

, offer incense and perform the sacrificial rites

. Father,

Your Majesty, today I ascend the

throne. I will diligently govern,

secure the country, and protect the people.

I will not fail your trust, nor the fate

of the nation and

its people. You

dog emperor,

die!

With assassins

protecting you,

this golden silk armor

truly protects your life!

I am the true Son of Heaven,

protected by my ancestors and the heavens.

Anyone who dares to harm me

will be punished by heaven

! Take down

all the assassins

! Ying Buli,

I clearly warned myself

to keep my distance from him

, but I still

can't control my heart.

Your Majesty's lips

are so soft!

Although

the golden silk armor

can block swords, the impact

will damage your internal organs.

Your Majesty's unconsciousness

must be due to internal injuries

; you must immediately invigorate your blood and heal

your body. Your Majesty's body

is so slender

, not at all like that of an ordinary man.

Quan

Jiuzhou,

you... What are you doing?

I'm

applying medicine for you.

I'm fine now, no need for your fuss, Your Highness.

We're all men,

why are you being so

coy

?

You've already seen

my body . Now you're undressing

in front of me,

it's just a matter of courtesy.

Quan Jiuzhou

, you're being

presumptuous! The Emperor isn't taking off his robes,

there must be something strange.

There are assassins!

Luckily we arrived in

time. If we had been any later

, the Emperor's secret of being a woman

would have been exposed.

Don't go out

! Your subordinate is late,

please forgive me,

Your Majesty. If you kidnap me

, how am I supposed to get back?

Your subordinate

has thought of a good way

to get the Regent

to ransom you.

Your Highness, please write a letter

and prepare two hundred thousand taels of silver.

If you dare to play tricks, you 'll be

fined. Do as the letter says.

Your subordinate

obeys.

Is

n't this the palace

pass?

This was

dropped by me

and the assassin leader during our fight.

He is

the leader of the Shadow Three Thousand.

"Then how could he enter and leave the palace?

Don't you understand?

It's because I

underestimated our Emperor. This

little good-for-nothing

in the eyes of all the officials

is actually

the mastermind behind the Shadow Three.

Your Majesty was kidnapped today, and

that thief

extorted

300,000 taels

of silver from me. Your

Majesty must

settle this debt with me.

I even got myself kidnapped

, and you still made a profit off me.

That black-hearted Quan Jiuzhou...

No problem

, Your Majesty can

pay in installments .

It's fine,

I'll pay you back slowly.

I will find out

who the assassin was and

who kidnapped Your Majesty today

. Anyone who dares to extort me will

suffer a fate

worse than death . Your

Majesty

, are you injured?

Oh no, I'm afraid

he 's started his period

. We mustn't let him

find out anything.

We need to find a way to get him away quickly

. He

's just a little injured

and has bled a bit.

It's nothing serious, it's

alright ."

"I brought

the finest wound medicine. I'll

apply it for Your Majesty now.

No need.

I'm quite tired.

Your Highness, you should return first.

Alright

, I'll return now

.

Your Majesty,

hot water is ready. This

servant will assist you in undressing.

Go and prepare some flower petals

, then wait at the door.

I don't like being disturbed outside.

Your Majesty

has

refused to undress

several times.

Could

there be some hidden reason

? It seems Quan Jiuzhou

has begun to suspect me.

I must treat

his headache as soon as possible

and forbid him from coming to my bedchamber again.

Fortunately

, my highly talented mother

has already made me a fake

Emperor.

Long live the Emperor

! Long live

the Emperor!

Long live the Emperor! Rise and

thank Your Majesty!

Your Majesty

, recently

several murders have occurred in the suburbs of the capital.

It is believed

that a perverted serial killer is

harming the people.

The Jingzhao Prefecture

has sent people to investigate many times

, but they have only managed

to send one wave..."

"After a wave of losses,

no one dares to take on this case.

I beg

Your Majesty to decide

. Your

Majesty , I report

that the Minister of War

has secretly stolen ironware from the national treasury

, selling weapons forged by the court

to private ironworks .

Last year,

the Ministry of Works'

newly developed weapons

were replaced by him with

hundreds of large iron pots from Northeast China.

His crime deserves death!

Your Majesty, the

Governor of Dezhou

is audacious enough to openly

sell official titles

within his jurisdiction.

His

greedy

and immoral behavior

is utterly

disregard for the law.

This is

a deliberate attempt to intimidate me, the new Emperor

!

Is there anything else you wish to report?

Lord Guo,

you must immediately depart

for Shanlin County

to oversee disaster relief

. Lord Li,

you must thoroughly investigate

the Minister of War's theft..." "In the case of Tie Yi

, all those involved must be

brought to justice!

Your Majesty, please forgive me

. I have been having difficulty walking lately, and

the journey to Shanlin County is long. I beg Your Majesty

to select another capable person

. You seem to have quite a bit of

self-awareness.

Since you think you are incompetent,

then you need not wear

this official robe

anymore.

Guards

, help him

take off

his official

robe.

He is dismissed from

his post

and will never be employed again.

It's not Your Majesty who

should take him away. Your Majesty , is there

anyone else who thinks they are incompetent?

Step forward now

. I will not

force you. If any other prince

were in this situation,

they would surely be in a panic. Your Majesty

dealt with Minister Guo

swiftly and decisively,

shaking the court

with imperial wrath.

His throne

is now secure." "Is

there anything else you

wish to report, Your Majesty?

I

have ascertained that the masterminds behind the assassination attempt at

the coronation ceremony

were none other than the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince.

I

have already apprehended them.

Regent, do

you have concrete evidence?

If it

is merely speculation

, I fear

it will not convince the public.

I, of course, have evidence.

This

is the assassin's confession,

along with his signature and fingerprint.

How could the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince

commit

such a fratricidal act

? Is there some misunderstanding?

Guards , bring

the Third Prince and the Sixth Prince

here. Do the

two princes confess

to the assassination attempt

at the coronation ceremony

?

This matter

was indeed orchestrated by the two of us.

Quan Jiuzhou

, as long as you release me...

" Whatever your conditions,

I will grant them.

We

have mountains of gold and silver;

I'll send them all to your residence.

Do you think I need your

paltry sums?

If the two princes

cooperate obediently,

I can guarantee the

safety

of your

families

. If they refuse to cooperate, their entire families will be

executed. Jiang

Yunfeng and Jiang Yunyi

, as members of the royal family, you have

not sought the well-being of the people, but instead plotted

assassination and disrupted

the court—your

crimes are heinous.

Out of consideration for blood ties, I

hereby demote you to commoners and exile you

to Lingnan

, forbidding you from returning to the capital.

Father

, my third and sixth brothers

have committed numerous crimes;

I cannot bend the law for personal

gain. Sparing their lives

is

the only thing I can do.

Jiang Yunxi,

your father's body is barely cold, yet

you're already so eager

to deal with your two elder brothers.

If your father's

spirit is watching from heaven, he will surely punish

you. Feng'er is just

a bit straightforward;

he had no intention of treason.

The talk of

forging an imperial edict

and assassination

is just a lie you fabricated

to secure your throne

and eliminate dissidents .

Your mother was born lowly,

a vixen who begged for favor,

and gave birth to such a

ruthless,

cruel, and ungrateful beast.

You will get your retribution sooner or later.

Today you've dealt with

your elder brothers,

will you

exterminate

us all tomorrow ?

Jiang Yunxi,

if you don't retract your decree today,

I will lead the entire court to the ancestral

temple to kneel and beg Heaven

to strip you of your throne.

The actions of your third and sixth elder brothers

are

heinous crimes,

the evidence is

irrefutable.

You have turned black into white

and committed treason.

You should be punished along with them and

exiled to Lingnan,

so that your family

can be reunited

. Your sixth sister was the most vehemently cursing

earlier ; she

must be reluctant to part with your two elder brothers.

I now... "I'll send someone

to pack your bags.

We'll leave today.

I don't want to go to

that desolate place like Lingnan.

I haven't done anything wrong,

why are you punishing me?

We haven't done anything wrong, why

are you punishing us

? What you said to me earlier,

the Regent's guards

will

tell him everything

. When he returns,

none of you will escape

. Let's

go!

The Regent's reputation

is comparable to that of a living Yama,

it's always effective! Your

Majesty, you've come at the right

time. This is

the information

I've compiled on

the ministers. It records in detail

the officials'

achievements,

resumes,

factions

, and personalities.

It will help Your Majesty

understand the court situation more quickly and

greatly benefit

governance . Thank you

for your trouble,

Your Highness.

This is truly a timely help.

Your Majesty, you don't need to be so polite.

Oh, by

the way, I've already tracked down

the people who assassinated

Your Majesty and kidnapped me

some time ago . So fast?

These people are quite powerful.

I wonder if Your Majesty

has ever heard of

Shadow Three Thousand? " The Shadow

Tribe is a rapidly rising

assassin organization

in the capital in recent years.

They operate covertly and ruthlessly

, and their influence

has already infiltrated the imperial court.

Letting them continue to grow

is definitely not a good thing.

However, Your Majesty, rest assured,

I will definitely send more troops

to completely wipe them out

as soon as possible

. Is he truly unaware of

the Shadow Tribe's intentions

, or is he testing me,

Your Majesty ? My

subordinates are guilty;

I seem to have inadvertently exposed myself.

How much have you exposed,

Your Majesty? Please calm down.

He

shouldn't know

that you are

the mastermind behind

the Shadow Tribe. How

could you , with your vast knowledge,

not be able to guess

my secrets?

You are too... You underestimated him!

Go

stand in the corner and reflect on

your actions ! Also

,

your salary for this month

has been deducted

!

Hurry up and go to

Quan Jiuzhou! He already knows

that I swindled him out of those

100,000 taels of silver.

Is it too late

to make amends ?

Your Majesty is

unusually generous today

. It wouldn't be good

to let the Prince spend so

much. Oh,

right , I've learned a finger technique

that can treat headaches

by pressing on the head.

Why don't

we try it first?

Your Majesty's

hands are softer than a woman's.

I wonder

what it would feel like

to hold them

? My self-control

is getting worse and worse.

Your Highness

, I

have an idea.

Why don't we send Ying Sanqian

to deal with

the mutineers in the outskirts

of the capital? Let the psychopathic killers punish

and kill each other

until their strength

is nearly exhausted. Then

Your Highness can clean up the mess.

Wouldn't that

save

time and effort?

If the Shadow Three Thousand

can really

eliminate the psychopathic killer

for the court

, wouldn't that be a great achievement?

It could

atone

for their crimes. Then Your Highness could reduce their punishment

accordingly , thus

solving a hidden danger

for the court

and showing Your Highness's magnanimity.

Wouldn't that be killing three birds with

one stone ?

Your Majesty seems

to know this Shadow Three Thousand

quite well

and is exceptionally confident in him

. No,

I can't

support the psychopathic killer.

Has

Your

Majesty already investigated?

The truth about the "perverted serial killer" in the outskirts of Beijing is

that there was no killer at all.

It was actually

the Seventh Prince, Jiang Yunran,

a lecherous and debauched man

who repeatedly sent men

to Babao Village

to abduct young girls and

torture them to death.

The villagers,

unable to endure it any longer

, joined forces

to kill the men sent by him

. Fearing retaliation from the Seventh Prince

, they fabricated

the title of "perverted serial killer"

to cover it up.

How outrageous! For

a prince to commit such

acts of rape, abduction, and cruelty against the people

is a disgrace to

the royal family!

By imperial decree,

the Seventh Prince,

Jiang Yunran, is arrested

and imprisoned in death row

to await his fate.

Ren Xuanxuan

is my best friend of many years,

but...

He didn't know my true identity,

only that I was using the alias

Xiao

Ruo. If Jiang Yunran hadn't had his

subordinate take the blame and

gotten away with it, I wouldn't have needed to

lure him into this trap

. I'd long heard of the Ren family's daughter's

beauty and charm;

seeing

her today, I

can confirm it's true.

She's taken the bait!

Stop them !

Don't be afraid,

I'm here.

Xiao Ruo,

you're amazing!

This one's

hot and spicy

enough

! I like

it! What are you waiting for? Regent

! Hiss

! How could the Regent suddenly appear

? Hiss

!

Did he discover the Emperor?

You're injured!

Although this woman is wearing a veil

, her features

are exactly like

the woman in my dream.

Even with a veil

, he recognized me.

What are his eyes

made of ? Quan Jiuzhou

, are you crazy?

How dare you

lay a hand on me?

Quan Jiuzhou

, I am a prince of the current dynasty!

You dare hit me?

Aren't you afraid

the Emperor will punish you?

Jiang Yunran,

what do you think... ?

How long can you hide

what you've done ?

The bribes you've taken,

the official positions you've sold—

how many people have suffered

under your rule?

This

is all the evidence of your crimes

. That punch

was for

the girl you kidnapped in the street, and

that kick

was to seek justice for

the villagers

of Babao Village

who suffered so much from your rape and kidnapping.

I'd heard that the Seventh Prince

was no good,

but I never imagined he was so

utterly depraved

. Good

riddance! He deserves to be punished properly.

Such a social scum

,

if it weren't for the Regent eliminating this scourge for the people

, who knows how many more girls

would have fallen victim to his cruelty.

The Regent is the savior of the people.

Rumors have always circulated

that the Regent is ruthless and bloodthirsty,

with a terrible reputation.

But what he did today

was to remove a cancer

from the royal family and stand up for the people.

Put Jiang Yunran in a death

row cell under strict guard,

awaiting the Emperor's judgment.

If

not now,

when?

Xuanxuan,

I'm leaving now.

Quan Jiuzhou

, you wait!

I won't let you get away

with this,

girl. May I ask

what the name of

that lady

you were with

just now is, and

where she lives?

I thought he was ridding the people of a scourge,

but it turns out he

's taken a fancy to Xiaoruo.

Sure enough

, all men are the same;

they can't take their eyes off pretty girls.

I don't know

that lady either.

I

just met her today.

Do you know the consequences of deceiving me

? I didn't lie to you;

everything I said is true.

As long as you're willing to tell me

her whereabouts,

I can assure you that

from now on, no one

will bother you, Your

Highness.

I truly... I don't know

that girl's background.

If you're destined to meet her

, maybe you'll see her again.

I hope

you won't regret it.

Now I can only use

the excuse of

visiting my mother to prove

my alibi and dispel Quan Jiuzhou's suspicions.

Yes, that

's right, isn't

that what I said?

So it's settled.

What are you talking about,

Mother

? You seem so happy

. Well, I was just saying...

I used to sell tea eggs,

so the late emperor

bestowed upon me

the title of Consort Ka.

But I'm clearly very fair-skinned

, hahaha.

I've long heard Jiuzhou say that

the emperor is extraordinary,

elegant, and handsome.

Seeing him today

, it's indeed true.

When did I ever say that?

You're back so quickly.

The emperor's eyebrows... His eyes

clearly resembled

that girl's.

I must take this opportunity to test

Your

Majesty. I have urgent business to report.

I urge Your Majesty and I

to move to the study.

The matter is of utmost importance

. My son, please go quickly.

Oh

dear,

my son! He

's always busy

with official duties and court affairs.

He doesn't understand anything about romance

. No wonder he's so old and still

can't find a wife .

It's driving me crazy!

Your Majesty, why did you leave the palace today? I've

been busy with state affairs

these past few days

and haven't seen my mother for a long time,

so I came to see

her.

Your Majesty, have you heard

about the Seventh Prince 's

abduction of a woman

in the street?

Not only that, but

the Seventh Prince's crimes are too numerous to count.

Now that I have captured him, I

await His Majesty's judgment. Your Highness

is stern and impartial,

I am at ease.

From now on, this matter

will be entirely handled

by Your Highness; there is no need to consult me.

His Majesty must be hungry

, have some pastries to tide you over.

The kitchen is already preparing the dishes.

It's getting late,

and I still have state affairs to attend to, so

I will return to the palace first.

I have prepared His

Majesty's favorite braised pork knuckle,

so I

will not refuse.

Hmm,

these pastries are sweet but not greasy,

Your Highness, please try

some. His Majesty

never eats sweets.

Your Highness

, I haven't drunk too much

, I can still drink.

Let

's

continue

drinking. Alright

, I will go and

fetch you another bottle of good wine. Go quickly and return quickly. Go now ,

Your

Highness.

Has

anything

unusual been noticed?

His Majesty

is indeed a man.

I know,

go back first.

Is it

true that Your Majesty is a man,

or is it just wishful thinking that

I'm imagining him as a woman? When

Your Majesty falls asleep, he pouts, looking

quite charming

—clearly the appearance of a woman.

I think I've fallen

for Your Majesty.

It turns out that all these years I've disliked women

because I'm gay.

Ministers, if you

have something to report

, please do so; otherwise,

court

is adjourned. Your Majesty , you

have been on the throne for some time

now

, but the harem

remains empty

. It's time to select consorts

to continue

the royal line

. Isn't it a bit too early to select consorts now?

Your

Majesty

, it's not too early

. The late Emperor was older than you,

and the

prince has already been born.

Selecting consorts would not only enrich the harem

but also ensure the birth of a prince sooner,

putting the court and the people

at ease.

This is a great thing!

The national mourning period is not yet over, and

I must, as the late Emperor,

select consorts now.

It's unreasonable and

... "It's inappropriate,

Your Majesty.

Waiting another three years

is too long.

The Crown Prince

is the foundation of the nation.

Please, Your Majesty, choose a consort. I will consider it

." The Regent

has taken leave.

"Then I will personally visit

him to see what important matter he has

to discuss. " "

This Prince Zhou,

I don't know what possessed him

yesterday , he was naked in the wind

and caught a cold.

I 'm truly sorry

to trouble Your Majesty

to personally visit him.

" "I specially brought

some thousand-year-old ginseng

to nourish the Prince's body.

" "Your Majesty is so kind

. " "Prince Zhou

should take his

medicine. It

's bitter. I won't drink it

. Let me do it

." " Then please

sit with Prince Zhou

for a while

. I'll go and tell the kitchen

to prepare some snacks. Take some

medicine,

so your body will recover faster." "

Bitter. " "Does Your

Majesty

have any candy?

You're a grown man, why are you eating candy?

Your Majesty is also a grown man,

why..." "Go ahead and eat your

candy,

why all this nonsense?

I'm not here today, have those

old ministers made things difficult for Your Majesty?

They all want me

to choose a concubine as soon as possible.

I know that choosing a concubine

can stabilize the court

and make those ministers submit to me

, but I

'm busy with state affairs,

how can I have time to deal with those concubines

? Your Majesty

doesn't want to choose a concubine, I'm very happy

and

gratified

, but

this concubine selection is related to

the imperial succession,

those old ministers

won't let it go easily.

Do you have a way?

If Your Majesty

trusts me enough,

I can find you some

absolutely safe women.

Then I

'll have to trouble the Regent

. Your Majesty,

since you agreed to choose a concubine, the Imperial

Household Department has sent

portraits of women from various families

. Why are there so many?

Your Majesty, you are handsome

..." The daughters of officials

naturally flocked to her.

Even Lu Xuanxuan participated in

the selection. Prime Minister Xiao

requested

an audience

. "Your Majesty

, you ascended the throne at a young age and need a

kind and understanding person,

and even more so, the support of powerful families

. This old minister recommends

my own granddaughter,

Xiao Cailan.

If she is fortunate enough to become Empress,

my Xiao family will do everything in our power

to assist Your Majesty.

In the future,

Your Majesty will no longer be isolated and helpless

, and will gradually

reduce the restrictions imposed by the Regent.

" Miss Xiao

is exceptionally talented;

I

will certainly consider her carefully.

Your

Majesty

,

I have another secret matter to report.

The last person the late

Emperor saw before his death

was the Regent.

He gave the Regent some tokens.

I

dare to guess that

these tokens

can be used to execute tyrannical rulers

and even ministers!

New envoy!

The Regent's power is too great

; I fear he harbors disloyal intentions!

If Your Majesty

doesn't find a way to retrieve this item,

you might be in trouble.

Lord

Xiao

is absolutely right.

What token

did Father give to the Regent

? Tonight,

I will investigate.

Today,

Prime Minister Xiao came

and recommended his granddaughter,

Xiao Cailan.

He also said something else:

he said that

if I made his granddaughter

Empress

, she would no longer be under your control. Your

Majesty is quite straightforward,

telling me everything.

Of course,

there's no secret

between me and the Prince

. Does Your Majesty feel

controlled by me?

How could it

be that I

chose the Prince willingly ?

Your humble servant's words

are getting sweeter and sweeter.

I've never failed in

my pursuit

, but I don't know

what it is... "Your

Majesty ,

are you trying to force yourself on me ? Why

are you awake

? My internal energy is profound;

ordinary sleeping pills

will wake me up

in a moment

. But

if I hadn't woken up,

what would Your Majesty have intended to do to me?" "I

thought Your

Highness was a little sleepy and

had fallen asleep,

so I placed you on the couch ." "Your Majesty

, why are you taking off my robes

? Do you think

I'll sleep more soundly if you take off my robes

? Do you think

I'll believe that?

Otherwise,

what else could I

do

? Does Your Highness

think

I have homosexual tendencies

? I don't know if

Your Majesty has homosexual tendencies.

I only know

that Your Majesty's behavior

is like that of

a female tyrant harassing a man.

You dare

insult me as a woman!"

I don't

care

whether Your

Majesty is a man or a woman.

I only know that

you took off my robes

and bathed with me.

So you have to take responsibility for me.

Responsible my foot

! I am the Emperor, the Regent! Don't have any improper thoughts about me. What if I had improper thoughts about Your Majesty? Your Highness, you've really forgotten the pain and want to experience the power of the silver needles again. I was just joking. Your Majesty

is

cunning.

I

ca

n't

be

too

hasty

.

Xiao

Ruo,

you've finally arrived

. Please sit down.

I need to find

someone trustworthy

to help me conceal my true identity as a woman.

Xuanxuan is the most suitable.

I hope she's willing to cooperate with me

for

tea.

Xuanxuan,

why did you enter the palace for the imperial concubine selection?

To prevent

someone like the Seventh Prince

from plotting against me.

Tell me,

who dares to steal Your Majesty's woman?

I have some inside information,

Your Majesty. "He

's impotent,

so why do you still want to go to the palace?

Wouldn't that be better?

I'd be able to have some peace and quiet,

Miss

Ren. The Regent is here again.

I want to see that girl one

more time to find out

if she's really a useless little

girl

. Miss

Ren, I've come again

because of that incident last time.

I want to see that girl again.

Why

does Your Highness insist on seeing her

?

I've seen her in my dreams.

I'm captivated by her and

have long admired her for a long time. I

want to marry her.

Quan Jiuzhou, that ancient iron tree,

has actually blossomed.

Which girl does he love ?

I will convey Your Highness's feelings,

but whether or not we meet

is up to Xiao Ruo.

Thank you, Miss Ren. I await

good news. Quan

Jiuzhou, he likes me and

wants to marry me.

The person the

Regent wants to see

is me.

That day, you and I met

him on the street. I

don't know if it was love at first sight

or a reunion with an old friend .

He asked me about you, but

I didn't dare tell him.

Could it be that I..." Has he been exposed?

No wonder

he's been behaving strangely lately.

Xuanxuan

, yes,

tell him that

tomorrow at noon,

Good Luck Tea House

will be open for

business . Noon is approaching,

and I should change my clothes and leave the palace

to see Quan Jiuzhou.

Your

Majesty, my injuries

have almost healed,

and I am willing to share Your Majesty

's burdens. You've come at the right time.

There has been a flood in Jiangzhou,

and many people have been displaced .

The court has already allocated disaster relief funds,

but according to secret reports,

some local officials

have embezzled the funds,

and many people have starved to death.

You must immediately set off for Jiangzhou

to be responsible for

raising funds, providing disaster

relief, and comforting the people.

In addition,

secretly investigate and find

out those corrupt officials who have embezzled funds

and deal with them

according

to the law

. Your Majesty, please rest assured

, I will not fail Your Majesty's trust. An

Wushang,

do you think

my clothes

look good today?

Your Highness

, you

look like you're in love, you

look good in anything.

You stay here and guard against

anyone.

Do not disturb

Xiao

Ruo. "Your

Majesty,

are you

really

a woman

? Your Majesty has misunderstood.

When

I left the palace,

I disguised myself as a woman

for safety reasons.

It was just a coincidence that

Your

Majesty happened to see me there last time.

Are you really not a woman

? I would never joke

about such a thing . That Miss Ren, she is

Ren Xuanxuan, my friend.

I heard her say that

the Regent fell in love with me at first sight

and even wanted to marry me.

It's all a misunderstanding ,

Your Majesty. You don't need to

take it to heart . It's just that Your Majesty's peculiar taste

is truly

unprecedented

.

Xiao Ruo is

the woman I made love with in Your Majesty's dreams.

Xiao Ruo is

also Your Majesty.

So

from beginning to end

, my heart has always been with

Your Majesty. Your Majesty, Your

Majesty

has bestowed the titles

of Zhaoyi upon

Ren Xuanxuan ,

daughter of the Grand Master

of the Palace

, and

Xiao Cailan

, daughter of Prime Minister Xiao

, as well as Jieyu

upon Liu Erxi, daughter of the Grand Councilor

, and several other Jiehao."

"You little

good -for-nothing!

I haven't dared to see you for days,

but you're acting like nothing happened , happily choosing your consorts

without a second thought for me.

Continue!

The Emperor even ordered people

to secretly protect Consort Ren.

You're

still loyal and devoted to Consort

Ren, but you're so cold and heartless to me

. And what

else? Rumors

are circulating in the palace

that the Emperor will probably

summon Consort Ren to his bedchamber

tonight. Thankfully,

he hasn't favored her.

It's so late,

Your Highness. Why are you in the palace

? Is something wrong?

My headache has flared

up recently and

needs immediate treatment . Logically

, Your Highness's headache

should have improved.

How come it's gotten worse? It

did improve

a while ago

, but I don't know why,

lately

I've been suddenly irritable.

It seems like my headache

has gotten worse again.

Let me take your pulse.

Your Highness,

why is your heart

beating so fast?

Could

it be that I'm not skilled enough

and have made Your Highness's headache

worse?

Don't touch me! Your

Highness

, how can I know your condition

if I don't take your pulse

?" No need,

it's probably just due to recent internal heat.

It's alright

, Your Highness. This is mostly internal heat,

and you need to balance Yin and Yang

, otherwise it's

just treating the symptoms, not the root cause.

You think you can mock me just because you've chosen

a bunch of concubines

? Is that it?

My lord can also

marry a bunch of concubines.

According to Your Highness's age

, well,

it is indeed time to get married.

Good , I will

choose a concubine tomorrow . Good!

If Your Highness has a girl he likes

, tell me and I will bestow a marriage upon you.

Hmph,

even the

Emperor

has taken concubines

, and you're not getting any younger.

When are you going to get married?

If you don't say anything ,

I'll arrange a blind date for you. My

son already has someone he likes,

so there's no need for his mother to worry.

Which family's girl is she?

When the time is right,

I will tell you.

You brat

, you're acting all mysterious.

Oh,

I only caught a glimpse of the Emperor from afar

during the selection.

I don't know what the Emperor

looks like.

The Emperor has arrived, no need for

formalities.

Why does that voice sound

so much like Xiao Ruo?

Hush,

I am Xiao Ruo.

I'll explain to you

after these people leave

. Hmm,

the Emperor

has chosen Consort Ren today.

He says you

don't need to... Entering the palace,

I never knew heartache

felt so terrible. You

little good-for-nothing,

you've captured my heart

, yet you're all entangled in romantic relationships with the concubines.

Where in the world is there such a good thing

? True love is hard to find.

If you love someone,

you won't care whether they're male or female. And this is

the Regent 's

palace ; I'm

practically his

personal physician

now. Your

Majesty, my headache is unbearable,

I can only trouble

you to come and check.

Your Highness's pulse

is normal.

Your

Majesty, I feel

like you have a slight fever

. Sure enough,

this little good-for-

nothing's heart races

after intimate contact with me.

I love him.

Your Highness's temperature is normal too.

Quan Jiuzhou, are you crazy?

A famous doctor once

told me a folk remedy:

when you have a terrible headache,

kissing someone

will relieve the symptoms.

I just tried it with Your Majesty, and

it really worked!

Quan Jiuzhou,

are you crazy?

What kind of absurd remedy is this? There are spies

from the Qing Kingdom

infiltrated the

palace. Every

palace servant

, even the concubines,

is a potential... "Could

he be a spy? For your safety,

you'd better not favor

any of the concubines.

Quan Jiuzhou, that bastard

is utterly lawless! You

can't favor any concubines

! Quan Jiuzhou,

I'll show you!

Your Majesty, something's wrong!

Consort Liu has been stung by a wasp!

And Consort Zhao has diarrhea today

and can't serve you

! Something's wrong!

Consort Xiao has fallen into the water!

You, Quan Jiuzhou,

do you want me

to be childless? Someone

stirred up a hornet's nest

in the Imperial Garden

to assassinate Consort Liu! How's

the investigation going,

Your Highness? I've

been quite busy lately

. I'll ask again when I get back.

I've already found out

! Oh,

who is

it?

Who wants me

to be childless

? Whichever

concubine I choose to serve you will be in trouble

. If this continues,

no concubine will dare to serve

you! Without an heir,

my throne

will be unstable!

Nonsense!

With me here,

who dares to oppose

Your Majesty? I thought

I had fought

alongside Your

Highness for many days and we had developed a deep understanding

and mutual trust.

I never expected

Your Highness

to use such despicable means behind my back!"

"

Your Majesty,

we trusted each other

implicitly, yet this

little good-for-nothing

thinks so highly of me! I...

I just... I didn't want

you to favor those concubines.

Seeing you treat them well

made me uncomfortable.

I'm sorry , Your Majesty, I

'll accept your punishment

without a single complaint.

So

he didn't intend to harm me

, he was just jealous.

But

I can't reciprocate his feelings

, nor can I harbor

any inappropriate thoughts

towards him.

Please punish him, Your Majesty.

Let it

go

. You

may

return. It seems Your Majesty

isn't heartless

towards me. If I try harder and have

more patience

, one day

he will

accept my heart.

Your Majesty,

I have fulfilled my mission.

During this trip to Jiangzhou

, I collected

100,000 shi of rice,

which was distributed to the disaster-stricken people.

I also

uncovered

corrupt officials who embezzled disaster relief funds.

Five officials,

including the prefect of Jiangzhou,

were punished.

All the confiscated funds

were used for disaster relief.

The people of Jiangzhou

have been properly resettled.

Well done!"

Speak!

What reward do you desire?

It is my duty

to relieve the people's

suffering.

I dare not ask for reward

; I only wish

to share Your Majesty's burdens.

If you have any instructions

, please

give them.

The Sixth Princess has reached

marriageable age;

please

help her choose a

consort from a respectable family and

of excellent character and learning. Your Majesty

, Your Highness,

your headache has healed

and you no longer need acupuncture.

Why have you entered the palace so late at night?

Your Majesty,

my mother wants to select a consort for me. At this moment,

the young ladies of various families

have gathered in the house.

I, too,

have only managed to escape

with great difficulty. Your Majesty

, will you take me in ?

You can hide forever,

but you can't

hide forever.

You can hide for a while,

but that's enough.

Alright, alright,

I'll find you a

unique and elegant garden.

You can stay here for now

. Why is it you? I summoned Consort Xiao to serve

Your Majesty

today. Consort Xiao is not feeling well today

, but she is afraid that Your Majesty will blame her.

So today,

I will serve Your Majesty.

This jealous

woman is really dramatic.

Go sleep on the soft couch.

My dragon bed

cannot accommodate a second man.

Oh dear,

my headache

seems to be acting up

again. I still want to try the treatment

from last time.

I am a man.

It is precisely because

Your Majesty is a man that I want to use

the treatment from last time.

Shouldn't we, as men, avoid suspicion?

As men,

there is no need to avoid suspicion

.

Do you think I

have any improper thoughts

about Your Majesty

? I

sleep wearing so many clothes.

There must be something strange about

it. Don't touch me. I

'm sleeping so soundly.

Am

I dreaming?

You're pretending to sleep, aren't you?

I knew you wouldn't give up. You

would definitely

take off my clothes

while I'm asleep. But my secret...

"I can't let you know right now,

Your Highness. The old Princess Consort is ill. Please return to the manor immediately. Mother tricked me into coming back, it must be for the sake of choosing a consort. Stop! Tie him up! Notify all the young ladies to come to the Regent's Mansion immediately! Mother, there's no need for this. When you were this age,

you

were

already

old

enough

to

run

errands

.

Does

our

Regent

's Mansion

need someone to run errands?

Do you have to have your own son

give birth to one?

How could you give birth to such a

useless child

? Do you know what

people outside

are saying? You say you have a hidden illness?

You have the

guts to let them say it to my face

and see what happens. Stop right there!

I'm going to fetch

the Princess Consort.

You must choose one for me!

This brat

actually ran away

while I wasn't looking!

Didn't you say you had someone you liked?

I want to see

who this woman is.

There really is one.

This girl is as beautiful as snow.

This brat

has good taste.

Wait ,

why does this painting look somewhat like the Emperor?

Could it be that Zhou'er likes the Emperor?

He actually likes men! Your

Highness doesn't want to marry

, you can try to persuade him slowly.

Why bother with deception and even

tying him up? Let's have some

tea.

I've heard that in the Qing Kingdom..."

In an era of open

social customs , it's common to see men

together

. What's your opinion on this

? Doesn't that mean the family line will

end? If it were my son, I'd beat his son to death! It's not that I don't want to help,

it's just that his mother won't allow it!

Now

,

let

's

say

a

man

is in love with your son.

If

Your Highness,

out of consideration for you,

were to allow it, I'd reluctantly

let it go.

But it

also depends on whether Xi'er is willing.

Oh,

I knew you were a

reasonable person.

They don't know that

my Xi'er

is a lovely girl.

If Xi'er is willing,

she will tell Your Highness

this secret herself. Your Highness, the former

Princess

Consort, ordered me to convey

the message:

whoever you like,

just win them back.

That's what a good son of the Quan family

should do . I understand.

Go on.

I

didn't expect that my mother not only doesn't object

but is also willing to support me, Your

Majesty

. My mother is on my behalf...

" I've chosen

my princess consort, and I'm about to get married.

Come drink with me

! Good!

I'll prepare

the best rewards

and gifts for you

, and I won't let you down. Your Majesty

, are you so happy that you

know I'm getting married

? Of course!

As your friend,

I'm happy that you

've found your beloved.

Here

, this is my mother's

treasured daughter's red wine

.

Your Majesty, have a taste!

Let's drink

until we

drop ! Oh,

by the way, my tenth brother,

Jiang Yunzhe,

will arrive in the capital tomorrow

. Your Majesty

, be careful. He's quite cunning

. My tenth brother is deeply favored by our father. He

was appointed General of the Border at

the age of fifteen.

Our father promised him that

when he returned,

he would be made a prince

. Your Majesty, do you think

I should make him a prince?

It doesn't matter. It's just

the title. Whether

Your Majesty gives it or not is fine

. The problem now is that there are

rumors circulating

in the capital..." He said

the throne was originally intended for him,

but someone had altered the will.

Tomorrow

I will host a banquet

to welcome him

and then

we'll see his true feelings

.

I'm sorry, Your Majesty

, I had no choice but to

resort to this tactic.

Your Majesty is truly a woman.

The woman in my dreams

is truly Your Majesty.

Since ancient times,

women have never been allowed to interfere in politics

, let alone ascend the throne.

That's

why Huang Zhi kept the secret so tightly

. Your Majesty, rest assured

, I will do everything in my power

to protect you

and assist you in becoming a wise and benevolent

ruler who will carry on the legacy of the past and usher in a new era.

Jiang Yunzhe stationed five thousand personal guards

outside the capital.

The palace banquet I specially prepared did not come.

"This is meant to give me a

taste of my power!

I apologize

for the long journey

back to the capital;

I overslept.

Those stupid maids in my household

didn't even bother to call out to

me. It was my oversight .

I didn't expect

the maids in the Tenth Prince's household

to be so foolish

and unruly.

Truly, my

favorite little fox!

Not only does she secretly curse Jiang Yunzhe

for his lack of manners,

but she also maintains her regal bearing.

Beautiful!

Tenth Prince, you're really late!

The celebration banquet is almost over.

Congratulations on your return,

Tenth Prince! Your Majesty promised you a title upon your return.

Congratulations

!

Now the throne has changed hands;

whether you 're granted

a title or not

is still uncertain

. Sixth Aunt, don't talk

nonsense! Your Majesty

has always been kind

to his brothers;

he's a wise and loyal

ruler.

Congratulations

on your return, Tenth Prince! Your Majesty,

something's wrong!

The granary in the military camp outside the city is on fire!

Did you do it? I believe you did it

. I won't do anything until he takes action

, but Jiang Yunzhe

will definitely think it was Your Majesty.

It seems

someone is getting restless.

Since Your Majesty has latched onto

my coattails

, I will

protect you

no matter what the Tenth Prince tries to do

; he's just a clown.

Tenth Prince,

what about the grain supplies? " The fire is

under control, but

someone poured copper oil into the grain supplies.

Pouring water won't help.

Who started the fire ? Do you have any leads

?

Tenth Imperial Uncle

, your five thousand personal guards

will surely collapse

without supplies. Think carefully,

who is the biggest beneficiary?

It must be

Jiang Yunxi.

He fears my military power

and is afraid I threaten his throne ,

so he burned my grain supplies,

forcing me to retreat to the northern border.

Tenth Imperial Uncle,

don't worry , there's still a chance.

Why don't you take Sixth Aunt

to the palace tomorrow to meet the Emperor

and ask him

to grant you a princely

title according to the late Emperor's will?

I'll think about

the grain supplies. At

this crucial moment,

only Xian is willing to help me.

As his uncle, I am deeply grateful

for this favor

. My father

promised to make me a king

before his death. I

request Your Majesty

to fulfill my father's last wish.

My father did not inform me

of this matter

, nor did he leave a will.

Many of my brothers

and court officials know about this matter

. Then summon all those who know about it

to me.

I know about it

. Oh,

what evidence do you have?

I heard you!

Tenth brother, you have served in the border region for three years.

Even if you have no merit, you have still worked hard

. Surely you would n't be so stingy

as to not even

grant me a kingship?

Our Great Jiang has always rewarded merit.

You just said that

my tenth brother

has no merit. "

How can I reward

my sixth princess?

Prince Yu has already chosen

a suitable consort for you

. You should prepare to marry. Stop

interfering in court affairs.

This princess

will only marry the Regent.

The Regent heard everything.

My sixth princess

won't marry anyone but you. Just

because she says she wants to marry me,

does that mean I have to?

Besides, Your

Majesty, if

you don't grant Jiang Yunzhe the title of prince

, aren't you afraid he'll take action

? I want to show him

that imperial power is in my hands.

I can grant titles when I want

and I can't when I don't want to.

My beloved little good-for

-nothing is just so adorable .

That little good-for-nothing killed

my third and sixth brothers.

Maybe

Father Emperor was also..." He killed you!

You should lead troops into the palace

and kill that good-for-nothing

to set things right .

Sixth Aunt

, you mustn't talk nonsense!

The Emperor is diligent in his duties, loves

the people, and combines kindness with severity

. With the Regent's support,

the court has been stabilized.

Although

the ministers

have some complaints about the Regent's control of the government

, fortunately, no major chaos has occurred

. Tenth Uncle

, you mustn't act rashly!

Regent, when has

the Jiang family's empire

ever belonged to

the Regent? After you

kill that good-for-nothing,

I will impeach the Regent

and make him grovel at my feet,

begging me in humility.

Go and arrange for men

to assassinate the Emperor and

the Prince.

So you're planning to

do it yourself?

The Tenth Prince still

hasn't made up his mind to assassinate the emperor.

Then I'll

help him make that decision.

Your Highness, are you really capable?

Why are you sick every other day?

Well

, if I'm not capable, Your Majesty,

why don't you

try ? Of course you should try

! I don't have a fever!

Why are you pretending to be sick?

Does Your

Majesty want to hear

the truth or a lie?

It's all the truth, actually.

First

, I want to see if Your

Majesty will worry

if I'm sick .

What kind of truth is that?

I want to know

how much weight

I hold in Your Majesty's heart.

Second

, only if

Your Majesty leaves the palace

can we lure the snake out of its hole.

So that's how it is.

Father said

this butterfly glass pendant

can help me find

the person who will protect me for life.

So that's what he meant

by Quan Jiuzhou. The

Tenth Prince

certainly won't let this go easily.

This tiger tally

can help Your Majesty

gather the Imperial Guards

in the shortest time

. You truly are my strong support! So thoughtful!

Your Majesty, why

are you looking at me

like that? Your

Highness

is so considerate,

I even want to take you into the harem.

She has feelings for me.

You're injured, Your

Highness.

Fortunately, you're

here. An Wushang

immediately leads men to find the assassin.

Even if we have to turn the entire capital upside down

, we must find the assassin.

I

want

the dead

alive.

Your Highness, my men have captured two assassins. One bit his tongue and committed suicide, the other couldn't withstand the torture and confessed that he was working for the Sixth Princess.

Jiang

Miaomiao

does n't have

that

kind of ability; she's probably

just being used as a pawn.

Put her in jail first.

We

'll wait and see

. Your

Majesty

, I heard that Sixth Aunt

was arrested for trying to assassinate you.

There must be a misunderstanding.

Although she's arrogant

, she definitely doesn't have the guts

to assassinate you.

She's only after avenging her Sixth Brother;

how could she not dare?

I'm willing to share Your Majesty's burden

and find out who's behind this.

This matter

is entrusted to you.

Don't let any clue slip

by . Your Majesty

obeys

. Jiang

Yunxi , you would never have imagined

that I secretly bribed

Jiang Miaomiao's men

to deliberately leave loopholes

pointing at her.

Jiang Miaomiao, in order to protect herself...

Jiang Yunzhe will surely be implicated.

In that desperate situation, Jiang Yunzhe

will have no choice but to rebel.

This great Jiang kingdom

originally belonged to my father and me;

I am merely reclaiming

what is rightfully mine.

Jiang Yunxi,

you useless

fool! If I wanted

to kill you, I would have done so long ago.

Why wait until now?

Jiang Yunxi,

release me now

! If you agree to release me,

I will tell you

who assassinated you.

You said

it was your tenth brother,

and you burned his provisions.

Of course, he hates you to the bone.

Then why were your men

the ones who did it?

It must have been him who

bribed my men to

distance himself from the situation

. Xiao Shunzi

, I ordered Ying Buli

to monitor the tenth prince's movements.

Is there any news?

Your Majesty

, Ying Buli reports back

that the tenth prince

has been busy preparing provisions

and should have no time for other matters.

Your Majesty

... Wang discovered that

Prince Yu had borrowed

five days' worth of provisions for Jiang Yunzhe,

and the other princes had also

raised some.

Right now,

they were

plotting in his residence.

If

the Tenth Prince wasn't the mastermind,

then who was?

Prince Yu

, I believe

Jiang Yuxi will eventually slip up.

Your Highness

, why are you here again?

What nonsense are

you spouting ? Your

Majesty

, you already took

me as a concubine yesterday

! I was just joking,

how could you take it seriously

? How could I not take it seriously

? Your Majesty

, you can't abandon me after starting something!

Then I'll leave

. Your Majesty

, a palace coup may occur soon.

I can protect you.

I have secret

guards, but they can't protect you personally,

but

I can.

Your Majesty

, you can

sleep peacefully.

Don't take advantage of me.

Your Majesty

, rest assured,

I definitely won't

do anything to you

tonight

. Your Majesty , someone... Who

broke into the death row

and rescued the Sixth Princess?

All we know is that they

headed towards the Tenth Prince's residence. Your Majesty

, your men

should immediately lead men

to arrest the Sixth Princess and the Tenth Prince.

No need,

Your Majesty.

If you don't arrest them now,

they will surely plot rebellion.

If

they don't rebel,

how can I wipe them out in one fell swoop?

The bigger their troubles,

the heavier their crimes

, and the more grounds

Your Majesty will have

to punish them. Thank you, Your Majesty, for saving

my life

. It wasn't me who sent people to save you.

It's fine

if you don't want to admit it ,

but since you saved me,

the matter of you bribing my men is now

wiped clean.

What bribery of your men? Your

Majesty, you don't need to say more

; I understand.

You can stay at my residence,

but I advise you

not to do

anything that will lead to your own destruction.

Otherwise,

I can't protect you.

Rest assured

, I will not act rashly. Anyone who

acts rashly will be punished. If I

kidnap Quan Jiuzhou and bring him to my tenth brother's residence,

even if he refuses

to cooperate with us,

that little good-for-nothing

will surely lose faith in Quan Jiuzhou once he knows about this.

This

will sow

discord between them. My

tenth brother is a coward

and a useless piece of trash.

Fortunately, Prince Yu lent me

two experts.

Sixth Princess

, you've practically delivered yourself to my doorstep!

Regent

, marry me!

I can eliminate

all the princes for you

and obtain the abdication edict.

Then

you'll be emperor,

and I'll be empress.

We'll create a new dynasty together!

Imprison people in death row

and keep them under strict guard

!

Prince Yu , you've come to save me!

What are you doing?

Aren't we

allies?

You're no longer of any use

. I'll use your death

to help me complete one last thing.

You'll die a horrible death!

The emperor won't grant my brother the title of prince!

Your Majesty, I admit it,

but the death of the Sixth Princess has nothing to do with me.

I do not admit it.

I have been stationed in the Northern Border for many years.

Even if I have not rendered meritorious service, I have still worked hard.

I humbly request Your Majesty

to grant me three years' worth of provisions.

I will immediately lead my troops

back to the Northern Border.

You have already broken the law

by leading your troops back to the capital

without authorization. I have already shown you leniency by

not punishing you.

Do you still dare to ask

for a reward

? Without provisions, are you expecting the soldiers

to go to the battlefield

hungry and die?

Military provisions are the responsibility of the Ministry of Revenue.

You have no need to say more. You may

leave.

Your Majesty

, you are forcing your subject to

rebel.

Your Majesty,

the Tenth Imperial Uncle, has had too much to drink.

That's why he

's talking nonsense. I'll

go

back and talk to him properly.

Come on,

Tenth Imperial Uncle

, I'll toast you,

fill your cup! Tenth Imperial

Uncle, tonight I 'll drink with you until we're both drunk!

Let me tell you,

that little good-

for-nothing,

I'll chop off his head

sooner or later.

Shh , Tenth Imperial

Uncle, keep your

voice

down. A skinny little good-for-nothing

, do you think I'm afraid of him?

The Regent

has raised several thousand private soldiers

in the suburbs of the capital. Your five thousand elite soldiers

might not be able to handle it

unless

you can

bring in a large army

from the north.

My dear nephew, you're right. I

'll

go back now

. I'll

send a message by carrier pigeon

. I'll mobilize the troops.

Wait for me

to come back. I can still drink!

Hey, Tenth Imperial Uncle, slow down

! Tenth Imperial Uncle

, I've paved

the way for your rebellion!

Why did Your Majesty invite me

to dinner here?

It would be better for

me and the Regent to be outside the palace

to lure the snake out of its hole.

This is wine

from the Western Regions . Your Highness certainly knows its stuff!

Come on,

Your Highness,

if one day

I am no longer the emperor,

will Your Highness

still assist the new emperor?

If Your Majesty really

abandons you one day,

then I...

But I, a king who will usurp

the throne, have no interest

in assisting others.

In this life,

I am content to be second only to you.

That is wrong of you, Your Highness.

Assisting someone is not

the same,

Your Majesty. You are supposed to

be with me for life

, through thick and

thin. I am a man,

how can I be with Your

Highness

through life and death?

This is my

last indulgence.

This is Jiang Yunzhe's token.

Who sent you

? Hmph,

don't be so smug.

Once the border army arrives,

you will be dead.

Jiang Yuxi

, I have been waiting for you for a long time.

Do you think you

can rebel with this

rabble ? Don't

be so hasty.

Let me give you

two some appetizers first.

The real show is yet to come.

Please treat Your Majesty

and Regent

Jiang Yuxi well. Aren't you curious

why Jiang Yunzhe helped me,

Your Majesty? I am late

, please forgive me.

Tenth Prince,

what are you doing? Where are

your soldiers?

As long as you kill this little good-for-nothing

and Quan Jiuzhou

, the world will be yours.

My tenth brother and I have long since

reconciled.

That day... The big argument

in the Imperial Study

was just an act for you, Your Majesty. I,

your humble

servant, previously listened to rumors and harbored

many grievances and disrespect towards

you . I am guilty

and willing to accept punishment

, but I

never intended to

send anyone to assassinate Your Majesty.

I will thoroughly investigate

and clear your name.

I also never sent

anyone to burn your provisions

. Someone must

have secretly plotted to sow

discord between us,

forcing you to rebel.

Jiang Yuxi

, I told you before that

the foreign army would secretly enter the city

tonight

. You should kill His Majesty first,

then I will lead troops to assist you.

Ting,

very well

, you

've fallen for their trap. You are truly cunning!

Taking down Jiang Yuxi

and imprisoning her

is

releasing me!

The assassinations at the late

Emperor's funeral and enthronement ceremony

were all your doing.

You burned Jiang Yunzhe's provisions.

You killed the Sixth Princess.

What else do you have to say?

I didn't do it!

All this evidence

was fabricated by you.

You are patient and jealous

, but

I already suspected you when you

shielded me from the sword.

If you still don't confess...

Your wife and children

will suffer just as much as you.

I was

favored by my grandfather

from a young age;

he even groomed me as the

crown prince . He even told me

personally that

he would pass the throne to me.

But why, why

must I be implicated in

my father's mistakes ?

Why does my grandfather no longer see me?

Why

does he despise me

?

If the late emperor truly didn't care about you, he

would have banished you from the capital long ago.

I tell you

, the throne is mine.

I'm taking back what belongs to me.

What wrong have I done?

Your crimes

are too numerous to list.

Go to the underworld and confess to my father.

I don't want to die,

Your

Majesty. This sinful subject knows

a tremendous secret.

Your Majesty

, I only beg you

, I only beg you to spare my life.

Then we'll see

how valuable

this secret is.

When my grandfather was buried

, there was no body

in the coffin

. My grandfather

may have faked his death.

I will investigate

this matter

myself. Your Majesty

, everything I've said is true

. Your Majesty, everything is true!

"Your Majesty, is

Father Emperor truly still alive?

Why did he fake his death?

Why did he pass the throne to me

? Is this what he wanted to see—

our brothers killing each other ?"

The late Emperor was wise;

he must

have had his reasons for doing

this. Some time ago

, a scout saw a man

in the suburbs

who bore a resemblance to the late Emperor.

I will arrange for

a secret investigation.

The late Emperor is always by my side;

Father might still be alive.

Go to the imperial mausoleum to investigate.

Remember,

this must be done in secrecy;

do not make it public

. Yes, Your Majesty ,

the late

Emperor's coffin

is indeed empty.

Go and send the portrait of your father

to your brothers in the alliance,

so they

can search for his whereabouts.

It is

the Emperor who

has suddenly launched an attack on the Qing Kingdom

, capturing three cities

in just three days.

The commander of the Qing army

is Crown Prince Dan,

a cunning and cruel man

, not to be underestimated.

By imperial decree,

the Tenth Prince, Jiang Yunzhe,

is ordered to return to the northern border immediately

to annihilate the Qing army.

I await his triumphant return

. Your

Majesty,

a report

has come from the death row that

he is dead. How did he die?

He said he couldn't sleep at night

and asked the jailer for several doses of sedatives. He was taken to

the outskirts and burned.

This battle lasted two months,

and our Great Jiang achieved a great victory.

Yunzhe

not only reclaimed the lost cities

but also severely humiliated

the Qing commander.

It was truly satisfying!

But I heard that the Qing Kingdom has sent an envoy

to negotiate peace

and will send a princess for

marriage. They should be

choosing a consort

from among the princes, right? Please, please don't choose Xi'er!

Madam,

this young lady

claims to be a princess of the Qing Kingdom.

Are you truly a princess of the Qing Kingdom ?

Didn't they say the Qing envoy was going to...

"Will it take two days

to reach the capital?

This princess misses Jiuzhou dearly and

will naturally rush

here to see him!

Princess, my son and I met

two years ago

when Jiuzhou was

an envoy to Qing Kingdom. We fell in love at first sight and pledged our lives

to each other upon our second meeting. Princess, you

ca

n't say such things lightly.

My son would never

pledge his life to you,

much less

fall for a woman from Qing Kingdom . Your

Majesty

, my father intends

to form a marriage alliance with Jiang Kingdom. My

younger sister

is deeply in love with the Regent.

If Your Majesty

is willing to facilitate this marriage,

the two countries can open trade routes and

live in harmony and seek

common development

for the next fifty years.

Your Majesty

, this princess has longed for Jiuzhou for two years

and will marry no one but him in this life.

I humbly request Your Majesty to grant us this marriage alliance

. I would be delighted to see

the two countries form a marriage alliance

, but

the Regent

has rendered meritorious service to the court and the nation.

We cannot make decisions for him on our own.

We must ask for

his own wishes

. Jiuzhou's appearance

is truly captivating.

Jiuzhou saved this princess,

so naturally he is in love with this princess. Your

Majesty

, even if it is just a little

Yi'er , I ..."

"I will come to your rescue.

I have no personal feelings for Princess Qing

, and

I already have

someone I love.

I will marry no one but her.

Regent, are you really going to

ruin the peace talks between our two countries

for a woman of insignificance ?

Crown Prince of Qing

, don't forget

that it was you who begged us for peace talks.

I am proficient in all eighteen martial arts.

Send your

three most skilled women

to compete with me in three rounds.

If I win,

the women of Jiang

will have to kneel and pay their respects

to the women of Qing.

Your

Majesty, I am willing to fight.

Who else is willing?

I am willing to share Your Majesty 's burdens.

Consort Liu is a daughter of a military family

and her

martial arts are extraordinary.

Why is she not in her place

today ?

Summon Consort Liu.

Your Majesty, I am

a guest.

It is not unreasonable

for me

to decide the competition.

Please speak.

Then let's compete in

chess,

zither

, and swordsmanship.

Consort Liu's old ailment has relapsed

and her back injury has worsened

. She should return to her palace to rest first.

Besides Consort Liu,

the only

woman in the palace with martial arts skills is me.

Your Majesty,

the first two rounds were

tied, and neither side could gain the upper hand. " "Let

's see

how

this final competition goes!

Your Majesty

, Regent,

the mighty Jiang Kingdom

has no women

who dare to challenge this princess in swordsmanship?

My sister,

I've heard that the women of Jiang Kingdom are so weak and frail that

you

could slap them into the street with a single blow.

So the women of Jiang Kingdom

are so pitiful

that they can't even learn

martial arts

? We women of Jiang Kingdom are free

; we

can learn whatever we want! Regent , then why don't you invite your beloved

to challenge this princess in swordsmanship?

Even using only my left hand

, I will surely defeat her

within three moves!

Princess, please rest for a moment.

The third competition

will begin soon.

I personally went to invite her to the competition

.

Her face

and figure are exactly like Your Majesty's. She

actually wants to compete with Su Xiyue!

Your Majesty, does this mean you've accepted

what Su Xiyue just said about your beloved?

Your

Highness, this servant is here on His Majesty's orders to

challenge the Princess of Qing Kingdom

in swordsmanship.

Be careful and

protect yourself!

Why did you only bring

a soft sword now

? You're really arrogant!

This princess advises you

to surrender now; it's not too late

!"

"Your life is in danger soon. Let

me remind you, Princess,

if your skills

are not up to par and you lose,

it will be a terrible sight.

You

dare to challenge me ? I'll kill you!

That's exactly what I want. The more

flaws you make, the more thoroughly

you 'll lose. You

audacious lowly

servant, how dare you assassinate my sister

! Guards, seize

her

!

Who dares to touch my people?

The duel

was proposed by the Princess,

and now that she's injured

, you want to fight and kill.

It seems

the Princess

can't accept defeat.

A bet is a bet.

From now on,

all women of Qing Kingdom

must bow and pay homage

to women of Jiang Kingdom.

A bet is a bet.

After returning,

I will naturally report the truth to my father.

I dare not show my true face if

I am not convinced."

There must be a trap.

Your Majesty is meticulous and

must have already devised

a plan.

It turns out to be an ugly monster

, an eyesore! Get out of

here!

The fragrance on this woman

is exactly the same as Your Majesty's.

Could it be that

Your Majesty is a woman

? Quan Jiuzhou should be very concerned about

this news.

This

is going to be interesting.

Regent,

did you come to see me with important matters to discuss?

Regent,

this is the Imperial Study.

Doesn't Your Highness have someone in your heart?

What are you doing ?

Your Majesty, there's no need to be jealous.

My beloved

has always been Your Majesty.

Why

can't I always refuse her?

Quan Jiuzhou

, wait a moment. I

have something important

to tell you. I have

official business to attend to

and don't have time to chat with you.

Fine

, then leave.

I'll turn around and spread Your Majesty's secret

to everyone.

What secret ?

Jiang Yunxi "I am a female

regent.

As long as you marry me,

I guarantee I will keep your secret.

Nonsense!

Princess,

do you have any evidence? If I didn't have evidence

, how would I dare to blackmail you? I

have bathed with the Emperor.

I know better than anyone whether the Emperor

is male or female.

You,

Quan Jiuzhou,

are mine.

You can't escape!

" Su Xiyue is audacious

enough to kidnap my mother and Consort Ka.

I will make her pay the price!

Where are my

mother and Consort Ka?

The old

lady and Consort Ka are elders

.

How could I be disrespectful to them?

I merely invited them to taste

the delicacies of Qing Kingdom.

As long as you

cooperate obediently,

they will definitely be fine. Do

you think

I wouldn't dare to kill you?

Why did you suddenly become so hot

? You must have fallen for Su Xiyue's trick.

I am

in the incense burner. "

With the addition of Love Silk Entanglement,

if I, the princess, hadn't been there

to detoxify you

, you

would have become a cripple."

Quan Jiuzhou said

he had important matters to discuss with me today,

so why hasn't he returned yet?

Your Highness, what's wrong?

Quickly take me back.

Love Silk Entanglement

is an extremely potent aphrodisiac.

Although I used acupuncture

to remove half of the toxins

, his internal strength is profound, and

the effects of Love Silk Entanglement

have been enhanced several times over.

Even if he can take the antidote in time,

his internal organs will still be damaged.

Yunxi,

I'm so hot . Quan Jiuzhou , I don't want anything to happen

to you. Your Majesty

, you're just pitying me

, aren't you? I

don't need your pity.

It's not

that I wouldn't

sacrifice myself

to save anyone.

Your Highness once said

that I was the one

you loved, and I also love you.

I favor

you, Your

Highness. I will serve you in bed.

This dog of a man

has already untied the love knot,

yet he still torments me until dawn.

I know

Your Highness has the people

and the common folk

in your heart , and

you would never use my being a woman

to threaten me,

right?

Of course

not. I only

act as a traitor

in the Emperor's bed.

Did you already know

I was a woman?

I knew

when the Emperor was drunk that time.

You teased me,

but I didn't say

anything because I didn't know if the Emperor

liked me.

I was afraid that if I revealed it,

the Emperor wouldn't let me get close.

Let me go back.

I want to return to the palace.

Yunxi,

if

I cannot marry you in this life

, then I will marry you

. When the time is right,

I want to reveal this secret.

No rush.

I was out of my mind last night,

so that doesn't count.

Now is the real time to serve you in bed.

So the Emperor is a woman. We've

consummated

our marriage.

We can choose

an auspicious day

to hold their wedding.

Yes,

we can hold our grandson.

That's what I'm thinking.

Then, everything that needs to be done must be done.

Yes, yes , yes, so

... The perfect plan

still got

thwarted by Quan Jiuzhou.

I don't know who benefited.

I'm so angry!

Crown

Prince, the Empress of Jiang Kingdom is a woman!

That ugly monster

who fought me that day

was she?

Is there

any proof ? Their

scents are identical,

there's no mistake.

If the ministers of Jiang Kingdom knew that the Empress

they kneel before every day

was a woman,

they would definitely dethrone her.

If I marry Jiang Yunxi

as my Crown Princess

, it would be the greatest humiliation for Jiang Kingdom.

Mr. Jiang

, what do you think? Your

Highness

, if you can't strike decisively,

all your efforts will be in vain.

I do have a... Mang Zhi's plan

is to throw this medicine into the city's wells and then

reveal her true identity as a woman

during the chaos in the capital.

This

would be the best strategy.

Good idea

, Mr. Jiang, you've thought it through.

At that time, I, the Crown Prince, will personally lead a large army

to annihilate the Jiang Kingdom.

I faked my death and escaped this calamity.

Jiang Yunxi,

I will definitely pull you down from the throne

with my own hands .

Yesterday, a canine plague broke out in the city

and spread rapidly

. Dozens of people have already been infected.

The infected people

crawl on all fours

with their hands on the ground

and bite anyone they see.

The people of the city are all in danger. I

implore Your Majesty to immediately order

the culling of all dogs in the city

to eliminate the source of infection.

6 C38 This matter is quite urgent

. I will make a decision after

I have examined the patients.

Your Majesty is proficient in medicine.

Can you confirm that it is canine plague?

The incubation period of canine plague

is one or two decades.

They're afraid of wind,

light

, and water

, but these people's

symptoms are all acute;

it's probably some other illness.

Your

Majesty, I just went to the clinic and

saw a patient

biting a city dweller.

During the subjugation,

I discovered

they felt no pain at all.

Order

a citywide curfew!

Also,

set up an epidemic station in the city

to house and treat infected people.

Heavily guarded

, only allowing entry, no exit,

to prevent the spread of the epidemic.

You go too

. Yes

, I've been staying at the Prince's residence these past few days

to facilitate timely understanding of the epidemic

. Your Majesty loves the people like your own children. The late Emperor

had unique vision,

not bound by ancestral rules and laws,

a wise ruler who carried on the

legacy of the Jiang Kingdom.

What's wrong

? I'm thinking,

the Qing Kingdom's delegation

has only

been in the capital for a few days and they've already been poisoned.

Could it be related to them?

It's too early to draw conclusions. People

in various areas of the city

have been poisoned,

indicating poisoning has occurred everywhere.

This person

must know the capital very well.

Your Highness, order

water from wells

in various areas of the capital to be collected.

I want to test for poison.

Also

, bring two sets of coarse linen clothing.

What does Your Majesty want to do?

Your Highness, would you like to come with me

to the Qing Kingdom delegation's inn

to investigate

?

What are you doing

? We

're just vegetable vendors.

I borrowed the room for a bit

and can't find my way back.

Lowly ants

like you

must be here to steal.

Trying to fool this

princess

? We didn't steal anything

, really, we didn't steal

anything!

Search them ! Your

Highness

, if you find nothing,

throw them out!

Don't let me see these people again!

Your Majesty,

what have you discovered?

The entire Qing Kingdom delegation

is hiding in the post station,

afraid to go out.

They must know

it 's too dangerous outside.

They're taking precautions;

there

must be something fishy going on

. We'll go back first.

Your Majesty, you've had a long day.

Have

something to eat

and rest.

Prince Zhongcheng

,

this prescription

will be effective against the virus.

An Wushang

, personally deliver

this prescription

to Physician Gu.

Your

Highness, I have already given the prescription

to Physician Gu.

He has summoned everyone in the Imperial Hospital

to prepare the medicine

and send it to the people,

hoping to

control the epidemic

as soon as possible.

There are rumors circulating outside

that Your Majesty is a woman.

The people are being bullied and

scolded. Your Majesty is deceiving the court

and even saying

you're having an affair

with the Empress and Your Highness. You're doing this for your own good

. The people

have angered Heaven,

which is why this has

happened . Disaster!

Quickly investigate

where the rumors came from

! Regent

! We demand to see the Emperor

! Please

grant

us an audience! The Emperor has been working

tirelessly

to save the people

and has just fallen asleep.

Prime Minister Xiao , you are the head of all officials; you

must prioritize tasks! Hahaha! Does

your Jiang Kingdom royal family

have no men?

To allow an ignorant woman

to be emperor

and trample all the officials underfoot

is truly laughable!

Jiang Yunxi is a woman,

yet she impersonated a prince and usurped the throne

, angering Heaven

.

If

she were willing to abdicate and yield to a worthy successor

, the people of Jiang Kingdom

could safely weather this storm.

If Your Majesty refuses to abdicate,

I will call upon

all officials to cease court

proceedings

. Regardless of

whether Your Majesty is male or female

, even if she is

, her

magnanimity, courage, and strategy

are in no way inferior to any man

. When the late Emperor passed away, the court

was in turmoil, and the princes vied for the throne. It was Your Majesty who, in a time of crisis, took

command

and single-handedly

stabilized the court and the situation.

Now,

a dog plague is rampant in the city, and the people are suffering.

This is a warning from Heaven.

If we do not promptly rectify the situation

and establish a new ruler

, I fear

an even greater calamity will befall us.

At that time, the Jiang Kingdom

may perish—

not from the dog plague

, but from human intervention.

It's not a calamity from heaven

, but someone deliberately plotting

to harm the people of my Jiang Kingdom

! Your Majesty

, is this true?

Do you have any evidence?

Jiang Yunxi,

today is your death day!

My beloved ministers, do not be anxious!

I will first introduce someone to you.

My nephew

, how have you been?

How could she possibly recognize me

? Impossible!

She must be bluffing me

! Haha,

Your Majesty, you jest!

This is my strategist

, Mr. Jiang

. Jiang Yuxi

, you

... you're still alive!

I have diligently

studied the art of governance under the Grand Tutor since childhood,

and I am the true Son of Heaven, the one

everyone hopes for! Prime

Minister Xiao,

are you willing to spend your life... Will you

bow down to a woman

? As long as you

support my ascension

to the throne,

I guarantee

you'll all be promoted and ennobled

! Hahaha!

Mr. Jiang is my good friend, and I will

definitely

do my best to help you succeed.

Jiang Yuxi,

you're already a prisoner, do you

still want to win people's hearts?

Prime Minister Xiao has always

been shrewd and is my father-in-law.

Surely he won't

be fooled by the words

of a traitor.

Yes,

Lan'er is still in the palace.

I can't harm her!

Prime Minister

Xiao, what are you waiting for?

Jiang Yunxi, she's just a good-for-nothing

and a woman at that.

"Why should she compete with me for

the throne? Why should I

tell you?

I've been sending people to search for

my grandfather's whereabouts,

but I never expected

him

to return at this critical juncture.

Your subjects pay their respects to Your Majesty.

Father,

son, I knew you were still alive.

You want to know why?

I'll tell you.

Your father committed a grave mistake.

I

originally intended to make you the Crown Prince

, but you

cruelly murdered

the jailers

guarding your father.

This shows that your

usual

kindness and humility are just a facade; selfishness

and cruelty are your true nature.

No

,

how can I entrust the throne

to

someone like you?

Grandfather,

you can't treat your grandson like this!

Grandfather,

I know nothing of

what he did !" This

has absolutely nothing to do with me.

I will not interfere in

the affairs of your Jiang Kingdom. Your

Majesty

, Regent ,

a few nights ago,

I saw the servants of the Qing Kingdom

secretly leave the post station

and return at dawn

. I heard them talking

about poisoning the water source in the city. The Crown Prince

of Qing has witnesses and physical

evidence.

What else do you have to say?

Seize

me! I am the Crown Prince of Qing.

If you dare to harm me, my

father will surely raise an army to attack.

You have killed countless of my people.

Even if

I cut off your head now,

the Emperor of Qing

will not dare to say a word.

Tomorrow

I will send an envoy

with a letter to the Emperor of Qing.

A ransom of thirty million taels of silver

is all that is needed.

Thirty million taels? You

might as well rob

the Crown Prince of Qing.

I advise you

to face reality

and stop making futile struggles.

Thirty million taels

is far too much;

the national treasury can't afford that much silver

.

As long as you sign

a treaty of peace and friendship

between Jiang and Qing

and guarantee that

they will not invade

for a hundred years, ten million taels

will suffice. Good

. Xi'er

is intelligent, cunning

, and skilled in winning hearts and minds;

she has perfectly inherited

the advantages of both me and Consort Jia.

We, your subjects, respectfully request Your

Majesty to return to court.

I have lived in this palace for decades

and am already tired of it.

Moreover,

Xi'er

is no less capable than any man

; she is in no way

inferior to men.

Hmm,

you all,

don't be bound by convention

; broaden your horizons.

That way,

Jiang... Only then can

prosperity and

a glorious era be created.

Your Majesty

, I entrust

my daughter and the empire

to you,

my Regent

. How have you been lately?

Quan Jiuzhou, how dare you defy me! I have

no choice

, my mind is now filled with thoughts

of serving Your Majesty

in bed.

Your Majesty

, have you dreamt of me recently?

If Your Majesty

encounters any inconvenience

in the future , you can use this token to

mobilize troops from the Four Seas Rice Merchants in various places.

Your humble name

truly hides power!

Your Majesty, when you gave me this glass

butterfly pendant,

you wanted to bring me and Your Majesty together,

didn't you ? I'm not mistaken

, you are indeed a perfect match for Xi'er.

So what is so special about

this butterfly pendant?

This glass butterfly pendant

is originally a pair,

an ancient artifact.

It allows

the man and woman who possess the glass butterfly pendant

to have the same

dream of love.

You

must have guessed...
