Lin!

The frigid wind betrays the wake of Man

The forest covers the forest of the beasts

Fire pushes demons into chaos

And the foot of the mountains sees the birth of spirits.

In the morning Wuwei is sung

While the bells wake up the people.

Under the night illuminating Anatman's Zen

The drum guides the homes astray.

When the mountain is in the cloud

The mist lifted pulls men from sleep.

But beware of the temptation of the elements

Able to shake the five virtues of life.

One step separates good from evil

Under the powerful words of Zen.

Nature will always regain its rights

For between love and hatred everything on earth is nothing but inept.

Men beasts demons and spirits are shapeless.

Balance and life remain powerless.

Faced with the vagaries of the firmament

The cosmos united with chaos will then create the universe.

Will eradicating evil really do justice?

Only the starry sky can judge.

Episode 1 SEPARATION

Grandmother!

Grandmother of the Mountain

You'll be here soon.

Yes!

I noticed some corners yesterday the harvest was good!

Why don't you get some rest then you can get some rest.

I'm almost done with this.

You'll bring that to your father.

Su Xiao An

I'm on my way.

Slowly don't fall.

I know!

Sacred little...

I've been using this medicine the last few days.

Qu Huang

It's true

I suffer less from the gout that has been eating away at me in recent years.

Hua Liu

In any case this medication is miraculous.

This is especially true for my liver!

No wonder you've been disappearing in the last few days.

That's not true let's see!

My little New Year

Where did you get so many herbs in the early morning?

Good morning my uncles! I was in the mountains!

It's very dangerous though.

Let me examine you one of these four.

No thank you I'll be fine uncle!

You old goat even your niece you won't let go of her.

Shut your mouth!

A girl like that

will become my son's wife!

Your son?

Well what? What's wrong with me my son?

He inherited my talent and my beauty.

Well it's getting late.

I'm going to collect the rent.

Shan Zi

Uncle here are today's harvests.

Good job. There are different types. You'll get a reward.

Thank you uncle. Is my dad inside?

He received three patients.

- He pauses. - Okay I'm not going to do that.

Aïe aïe aïe...

Always so careless.

The drug has weakened.

Haven't I already told you that you should never

enter this room without my permission?

Bai Yi

Sorry Dad.

You have nothing I hope.

I have nothing.

What are you here for?

Here filter them.

Too many herbs have accumulated in the granny.

She's been looking after me since she was a little girl

but his leg starts hurting again.

I would like to go to her house for a few days and help her.

I can?

It's good for filial piety.

Thanks Dad.

Hold on.

And what are you going to do about my broken pot?

For that well...

Drunk Zhang lives behind the mountain.

He carved all my pots.

I just had to go.

So this time you'll go in my place.

No problem I'll take care of it.

There are many trails and the miasma works at night.

Get home early.

Be fearless. I'll bring your pots back.

We'll have to bring the grandmother in.

Yes.

I can't believe someone lives in such a remote corner.

It's a blow to get lost.

Is that Zhang?

But... There's three of them?

Something's not right.

Excuse me.

Is there a village nearby?

We've come a long way.

With our load

we would like to find a place to rest.

Tell me...

Five miles behind there's a banyan tree left for 15 km

after the creek right for 8 km

cross the bridge the stream the pond the mound our village is at the end!

Yes that's it!

Thank you.

Did they gobble that up?

Those three were shady.

Luckily they didn't see anything.

Where am I?

I got lost!

Spirit hidden fog and mountain?

What happened?

Big pervert!

My brother.

What's going on brother?

They're still running out of pills.

Our brother wants us to send more.

what? We've already sent some recently!

You two go back.

My brother...

There is no need to talk about it.

Our older brother manages the affairs of our village.

We all want a better life.

- But... - Come on don't argue.

We always take care of the chores!

What about them?

They only sip tea and count money.

Speak less loudly or our brother will hear you!

Don't let him get in the way!

I'm not afraid of him! And so are you

Your car is packed make an effort!

I got watched and beat up.

This is the first time this has happened to me.

I'm so sorry.

And you too run away again and I'll cook you!

It's also my first time...

What are you doing here alone?

- What time is it? - It's past 3 p.m.

Oh no! My father sent me to get pots from the alcoholic Zhang!

It will be impossible to get home before nightfall...

What a coincidence! You're here to see our old man.

I have a shortcut that will get you back to the village before dark.

Is this lie true? But I don't know you.

Why would I believe you?

You're not wrong.

Yes I do. Come on let's go.

Too fast.

Besides what does the inscription on the stele mean?

Don't you know that?

Buy a duck first.

My ducks walk every day! They're all plump and robust!

In stew fried roasted or braised you cook them with your sauce!

It's a culinary delight!

If your explanation of this stele suits me

maybe I'll buy one.

That was a long time ago

the misty mountains were home to many vicious monsters.

They were committing vilenies hunting and devouring humans.

Insignificant humans who cannot defend themselves

only death awaited them.

Then one day in this time of despair

the champions of the five elements appeared.

They came from the Qi of Yin and Yang in the world

and each mastered one element:

metal wood water fire and earth.

Finally they drew the monsters to the top of the mountain

and built the Heavenly Gate sealing the largest monster.

The five champions hid at the five entrances to the mountain

to protect access.

Protecting the seal they ensured the balance between the two races.

So far without the slightest conflict

the world was at peace.

It's just a legend isn't it?

Of the five the Fire Champion is the brightest!

It is rational beautiful charming dazzling romantic perverse...

- Oh no not the last one... - Since everything is sealed

- I'm not done yet. - why is it forbidden to pass?

Well

even if the larger one has been sealed the small ones have not.

It is therefore better to stay away from them.

This explains the chills at that time.

Wait how do you know so much?

We're here.

Old schnock I'm home.

It stinks of alcohol!

That pesky alcoholic he drank like a hole again.

What are you complaining about?

Two nights I didn't close my eyes.

Don't you have a little compassion for the old man I am?

Besides you're bringing a beautiful lady.

You're making a mistake.

It's that Chief Di Shan sent me for the carved pots.

Here's the money you can count on.

So it was for him.

Xuan!

Bring the box to the golden edges to the lady.

Why does it sound fishy?

Sir did you make all that pottery?

They're beautiful!

Oh no these are carved by Xuan.

He's more talented than I am.

The duck farmer?

Sir why do these pottery have a gash?

That's when he commits a stupidity

there is a mark on it.

A stupidity?

It's that box isn't it? Let's go.

If night falls to see nothing you will manage alone.

what? Wait for me!

Goodbye Mr. Zhang!

I still don't know your name.

Su Xiao An. How about you?

The old man calls you Xuan.

Xuan is the character for cliff.

Why do you have a duck with you?

- Well you bought my little lady. - When did I say that?

Hey you're not allowed to recant.

It's forced selling!

Besides I'm broke.

It's weird I think I forgot the shortcut.

It's getting more and more exhausting.

I'm sick of it!

Brother you shouldn't talk as much.

- As soon as we're done I invite you. - I want bull dick!

- Sold! - Ten plates!

You're not cold-eyed! That's ok!

My brothers is there a problem?

- Arm yourself we'll go and see. "Yes.

Shi Tou... He was killed by these people!

And Lu's wife was killed too!

It's good here no doubt about it.

Open! Let me in!

Open up fast! Li Zi is still out there!

Do you want him to die?

We can't... Otherwise... we'll all die!

Open! I don't want to die!

Who are you? What are you doing here?

Head.

Beware...

He's a tough guy...

It's the three freaks.

There's also Shi Tou and Miss Lu.

What's happening to them?

Don't move.

I've got to go!

They're dead.

I don't believe you!

Let go of me!

I have to see them!

I told you not to move are you deaf?

what?

My brother!

My brother...

It doesn't pierce...

My brother step aside!

Dad!

How is that possible?

"My brother! "My brother!

Why so much hostility my friend?

Oh a familiar face.

It's... The Fire Champion?

- The champion... - ... Fire!

It is...

The Fire Champion?

At this moment

I felt fear.

I was scared

and insignificant at the same time.

Shui Guan

Would you have forgotten your oath?

The duck...

He just talked!

He's a monster... like everyone else!
