He spoke about it briefly. Said he'd found out some things about the attorney Pepper.

I asked him to do that.

Before he passed, he said he didn't want you blaming yourself.

That you told him to go home, that he was in danger.

I read what he put together on Pepper, if now's any time.

Pepper had a successful practice in this city, mostly conveyancing, real-estate law.

Six months ago, he had a heart attack.

He was technically dead for a brief period of time.

Medical team revived him, and after his recovery,

he changed the focus of his legal work.

Martin was his first serious criminal client.
