(Solomon) Soon you shall have an opportunity

who unwittingly has tampered with nature's way.

which shall not be easy.

Mr. Janson's a good neighbor, honey.

[whimpering]

and still he's not even able to take care of himself

I'm, I'm about ready to look at the great outdoors

from indoors for a while.

when I told her she couldn't keep Packy.

They're on their way.

[dramatic music]

[barking]

[whispers] Come on, boy. Come on.

Good boy.

Packy, we have to put this leash on for both of our sakes.

[dramatic music]

Look, it's getting harder and harder

to control Packy every day.

'Sooner or later, you won't be able to handle him at all.'

'Look, Kathy, don't you see you can't run away from it?'

You can't keep running forever.

Come on, Packy. We better hide in the balloon.

Be very quiet and don't bark

until I figure out something to do.

Watch out for the rope!

[gasps]

(Kathy) Help! Help!

[intense music]

[thunder crashing]

[dramatic music]

- Mr. Rose. - Oh, no.

Captain Marvel.

He's got her.

- Thank you, Captain Marvel. - It's okay, Kathy.

[instrumental music]

Come on, Packy.

It's okay now. We're safe.

[sighs]

[laughs]

Captain Marvel, I don't know how we can ever thank you

for all you've done for us.

I'm so sorry, I caused you

'and everyone else so much trouble.'

Well, it's all over now, Kathy.

I guess it's all over for us, too, Packy.

(Billy) Hey, Kathy, you know somethin'?

I sure wish you'd come with us to the zoo.

Yeah, you should see the wonderful open area

they have for Packy.

That's right.

They're even retraing him.

Soon, he'll be able to go back to the wild country

where he can be truly trained.

I'm sure Packy will be very happy.

But I know one thing.

I'll never love another animal again.

[instrumental music]

Gee, I'm, uh, sorry to hear you say that.

Well, I guess we'll just have to take this one

back then, won't we?

[barks]

He's all yours, honey. That is, if you want him.

[laughing]

I think that puppy's in for a lot of loving.

Yeah.

I'd say they both were.

Having a pet can be a lot of fun.

But it does carry responsibilities.

And some animals are born to be free.

To deprive them of that right is selfish.

So we must all understand and respect the laws of nature.

Both for our sake as well as for our animal friends.
