- What? - Then you can open your safe.

Or would you rather I open it my own way?

[tires screeching]

Well, how did it go?

Pretty easy. He didn't even try to stop me.

Well, who's gonna argue with Captain Marvel?

[chuckles]

[laughs]

You know, if you keep eating those apples

there won't be any left for lunch.

Apples are good for me.

Yeah, but they're good for me, too

and I'd appreciate it if you'd save me a few.

Look, we'll be in town in a few minutes.

We can get some more apples there.

Besides, you know what they say.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

So far you've eaten enough to put every doctor

in the state out of work.

[device beeping]

been on my property tryin' to ride my horse.

He calmed Corky down.

Captain Marvel. No wonder he was in a hurry to leave.

there's a warrant out for his arrest.

Obviously, someone is impersonating Captain Marvel

this had to happen.

With Captain Marvel in jail, he can't get at us.

Yeah, we're almost there.

(Mentor) Well, Captain Marvel, we certainly found

something very interesting here.

We found these clothes the thief was using

but we don't know where he is or what he's up to.

Well, when the sheriff comes back and lets me out

we'll just see what we can do about findin' him.

Hey, there's my dad.

What happened?

- Know where the old highway is? - Yes, I do.

Well, I was driving home that way

when I saw a pickup truck with two men.

Looked like they were in trouble so I stopped to help.

Next thing I know, they had my keys

ripped some wires out of my car

and they just left me standin' there.

I've been walking for two hours.

Dad, Captain Marvel didn't rob Mr. Schartoff's station.

Mentor and I found a mask and a cape in Mr. Frank's shed.

Guess that proves I'm innocent.

Well, that's good news.

Hey, I'll let you out of there.

I can't. No keys.

Well, I can take care of that.

- Now with your permission? - You've got it.

[instrumental music]

[iron bars squeaking]

Sheriff, those men who took your keys

'they must know that you were coming back here before long'

so whatever they're up to is probably happening right now.

Yeah, but what..

- What is it? - Frank Iversen's mine.

It's Friday. The payroll is delivered on Friday.

- That must be their target. - It's logical.

Then there is no time to lose.

What kind of truck were they driving?

A green pickup.

(Captain Marvel) 'First I'll restore the bars.'

[instrumental music]

I'm on my way.

[laughing]

What's so funny?

I was just thinking about Captain Marvel

sitting in his jail cell.

[laughing]

[dramatic music]

Hey, relax.

You don't have to drive so fast.

They won't be after us for hours.

(Captain Marvel) 'Green pickup. There it is.'

Hey, what was that?

It's Captain Marvel.

Well, I'll-I'll see if I can shake him off this truck.

[intense music]

It's no use.

He's holding fast.

He's taking off. He's flying!

Where is he? Where is he?

[tires screeching]

- Come on, drive faster! - I'm trying.

He's flying against us.

We're stopped!

[dramatic music]

He's pullin' us back to town.

[instrumental music]

There's nothin' I can do. Nothin'.

[sighs]

(Martin) Hold it, you two!

Stay right there.

Yeah, they're the ones who took my keys.

That must be the pair I got that notice on last week.

Bill Ritzi and Pearce Young.

'Thank you, Captain Marvel.'

'I couldn't have done it without you.'

My pleasure, sheriff.

Alright, you two, into the van. Hurry up.

See, Kelly? I was careful not to break the law.

Everything worked out just the right way.

I understand. I hope Mr. Frank will give me another chance.

You'll never know until you ask him, Kelly.

Well, yeah. I understand Captain Marvel eats apples too.

Today's story was about how Kelly learned

that one must respect the law.

Respecting the law is just another way of saying

that we respect each other.

Laws have been made for the good of everyone.

And when someone breaks the law

it's really saying "I don't care about you."

So next time you see a sign that reads "Keep off the grass"

or a red light that says "Stop," be sure you obey it.

When you respect the law, you're respecting yourself.
