Identity check. Please be cooperative.

Everyone, show us your ID card.

Okay.

Wake up.

Show me your ID card.

Wake up. Show me your ID card.

Raise your head.

Chief Zhou.

Go ahead.

I can't accept the award of Excellent Individual for Capturing Outlaws.

Our leaders decided to give you the award.

You shouldn't refuse to accept it.

You have caught 54 outlaws in the past ten years.

If you don't accept this award,

tell me who in our Bureau deserves it.

I haven't caught Wang Dayong.

I don't think I deserve this award.

Sorry, the subscriber you dialed is powered off.

Sorry, the subscriber you dialed is powered off.

How is it?

It fits well.

Not bad.

His phone is still turned off?

Is Bing in trouble?

Don't say that.

He won't be in trouble.

But we still can't get in touch with him.

It's been two days.

You can take photos now.

Shitou, it's your turn.

Coming.

Bin.

Contact Lin Ying or someone else.

See if somebody can get in touch with him now.

Okay.

Don't worry.

Okay.

Go.

Okay. I'm coming.

Look at the camera.

Is anyone home?

Uncle.

Uncle, are you home?

Miaomiao now works at a karaoke bar where she pleases male customers.

I tried to persuade her not to, but in vain.

Girl.

You're really greedy for money.

Go with me tonight.

I'll give you a lot of money.

You want to sleep with me?

What do you think?

My bro has just been released from prison.

We're going to find him some good girls tonight.

Why were you sent to prison?

He committed murder.

You really killed someone?

You don't believe it?

Kill someone for me

and I'll let you sleep with me.

Deal.

Do you know Wang Miaomiao?

No.

She's new here.

She has short hair and it's tied up.

I don't know her.

What are you doing?

Miaomiao.

Go away.

What are you doing?

Go away.

Who are you? It's none of your business.

Let go of me.

Don't be nervous.

The other rooms are taken.

Let me ask you a few questions

in this room.

Have you sobered up?

I didn't drink.

You didn't drink?

Then why did you have a fight with them?

They forced the girl to go with them.

What's your relationship with that girl?

I'm her uncle.

Be honest with us.

She's my niece's classmate.

We work at the same company now.

So she calls me uncle.

Is there a serious conflict

between you two?

What do you mean?

Wait.

Put it on.

Those men said

Wang Miaomiao had asked them to kill you

and in return she would sleep with one of them.

Wang Miaomiao admitted it herself.

Why are you still following me?

Put on the coat.

Let's go home.

Home?

Do I still have a home?

Do you know I planned to kill you?

Yes.

At that time,

I was ready to accept anything that would happen.

When you showed up behind me with a knife,

I even hoped

that you could just stab me.

I thought

I could get rid of the pain if I died.

But I was afraid.

I was not afraid of death.

I was afraid you would ruin yourself.

Do you know why I wanted to kill you?

Because of your father's death.

You're not Peng Yalan's uncle, right?

You've been lying to me from the beginning, right?

You joined the pyramid scheme group

to keep an eye on me

so you could get information about my eldest uncle, right?

You got acquainted with me

to use me.

You used me.

I thought you were really worried

that I would have no money to have supper,

that it would be unsafe for me to go alone at night,

and that I would be unable to look after myself.

I thought you were really worried about me.

I really believed that in this world,

you were the only one that wouldn't lie to me.

Cheng Bing.

You're such a jerk.

Yes.

I'm a jerk.

I know.

No matter what I say,

I can't make up for the harm I brought you.

I don't expect you to forgive me.

But...

But I really see you

as my own daughter.

I just hope from today on,

you will live a good life.

I'm not a responsible father.

My daughters won't be happy.

I'm sorry.

I miss my grandma.

Grandma, I won't leave again.

I'll stay here with you

and cook delicious food for you.

Here.

I've learnt to make many dishes.

I know how to cook all the dishes of Ningzhou cuisine.

Such as

Ningzhou chicken wings, Ningzhou chicken legs,

Ningzhou braised ribs, and Ningzhou fried vegetables.

I also know how to cook Ningzhou braised eggplant.

The Ningzhou spicy and sour noodles I cook

are always the best.

Here, Grandma.

Eat an orange.

Is it sweet?

Eryong, eat an apple.

Okay.

It's sweet.

Grandma, this is an orange.

It's an apple.

No, it's an orange.

It's an apple. It's an apple.

Grandma said it was an apple. It is an apple.

Eat it.

Is it sweet?

Yes.

Eat more.

Bing.

That's my friend. Let me go greet her.

Eat it.

I'm eating, Grandma.

Let me swallow it first.

You know I'm here.

What brings you here?

I came to see you.

Will you leave again?

I haven't decided

where to go yet.

I don’t know.

I need to first help Miaomiao settle down.

Does she know your identity?

Yes.

How are you going to help her settle down?

I don't know.

I'll ask Bin for help.

If possible,

I'll ask Miaomiao to work at Bin's wife's beauty salon

and learn some skills there.

I was looking at you two just now.

I think you've changed.

What has changed?

Your state.

You're in a good state now.

Maybe.

In the past,

I only had one goal. That is, to catch Wang Dayong.

After what happened between me and Miaomiao,

I've finally understood

what Uncle Seven said to me.

He said to me that we should live a good life.

By the way,

how are you guys doing?

We're all fine.

Jia is here.

She and Shitou are getting married.

Just several days ago, they took wedding photos

at the studio recommended by Cai Bin.

The rest of us are still the same.

We're all busy with our work.

We went to Liao's to have fun once we had the time.

We talked about things about the 3rd Squad.

After I get Miaomiao to settle down,

let’s get together during the Spring Festival.

Grandma, let me ask you a question.

What is this?

It's an apple.

Be careful.

My grandson, be careful not to fall over.

Hang the lantern higher.

Be careful.

Okay.

Let me draw a circle.

Bing.

Happy Chinese New Year, Bing.

Happy Chinese New Year.

Happy Chinese New Year.

Bing, happy Chinese New Year.

Lin Ying told me

what had happened that night.

Never do it again.

You can rest assured, Bing.

Let me tell you,

You had no idea how dangerous it was that night.

Luckily I was quick.

I ran to him all of a sudden.

And he fell down to the ground.

Enough. Bing, he's bragging.

He made an enemy of that guy when they were in prison.

So that guy wanted to kill him after he was released.

Let's go. Stop bragging.

Bing, I'll go in first.

Uncle Six is here. Uncle Six is here.

Go. Uncle Six.

Happy Chinese New Year.

Happy Chinese New Year. Happy Chinese New Year.

Wait. Where are the red packets?

You are old enough. You don't need red packets.

I need red packets no matter how old I am.

Don't be so polite. Just search him for the red packets.

Stop. Stop.

Say happy Chinese New Year.

Stop it.

Don't take the wallet.

Give back my wallet.

Miaomiao is really a special girl.

Within such a short period of time,

she managed to get Xiaodong and Cai Lan to like her a lot.

That's because I'm her teacher.

Cai Lan is your son.

My son?

He's like my boss.

He's never been obedient to anyone since he was born.

But Miaomiao managed to get him to listen to her.

Cai Lan is still a little boy. It's understandable.

Look at my son.

Xiaodong is a big boy now.

But he follows Miaomiao and calls her name every day.

He is just like his father who is like a coward.

You're exaggerating again.

Aunt Seven is here.

Hello, Aunt Seven.

Happy Chinese New Year, Aunt Seven.

Aunt Seven.

Happy Chinese New Year, Aunt Seven.

Happy Chinese New Year.

Happy Chinese New Year.

Have a seat.

Happy Chinese New Year, Aunt Seven.

Happy Chinese New Year.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Enjoy yourselves!

Just tell me what dish you want to eat.

I'll cook it for you.

Okay.

Make yourself at home.

Help yourselves.

Your red packet.

From him again?

I won't take it.

The red packet can bring you good luck.

Take it.

Take it.

Tong.

You're going abroad soon.

I hope you can visit him more.

After all, he's your father.

Tong

still doesn't want to see you.

It's okay.

Please say happy birthday to her on my behalf.

Cheng.

I'm hanging up.

I'm sorry.

Cheng.

What's the matter?

Take it.

Happy birthday.

You're good, Cheng.

Do you like it?

This is the latest model.

You know a lot about it.

I know little about it.

Lin Ying was with me when I bought it.

You were in the same squad.

She can keep abreast of the times.

But you can't.

Isn't your daughter's birthday tomorrow too?

Yes.

What gift did you prepare for her?

It's in the drawer.

It's the same as yours.

She still doesn't want to see me.

I won't be able to give her the gift.

Why are you unwrapping it?

Since you're unable to give this to her,

use it to record

what you want to say to her.

Keep it as something special for yourself.

Let me say happy birthday to you in advance.

Thank you. Happy birthday to you too.

How are you going to celebrate your birthday tomorrow?

Our family will definitely have dinner at the same western-style restaurant.

We've been doing it for the last nineteen years.

Western-style restaurant? It is so romantic.

I'm afraid

they'll invite that man.

I have an idea.

What is it?

Lower, lower, lower.

Lower?

Yes, lower.

Come in.

Words you see outside are written backwards.

Let me do it myself.

Enough, Bing.

It's good enough.

You don't have to make it perfect.

This is my first time to celebrate Miaomiao's birthday.

It must be perfect.

That's more like it.

Okay, good.

Bing.

Do you think this one is good?

You also bought a cake?

I bought one too.

It's fine. There will be many guests.

What can I help you with?

Nothing.

Go help Xiuli.

Okay.

Yes.

You go there. Let me do it.

Okay.

Stop spending time on your phone.

Go get dressed. We'll go out soon.

Mom, Sister is chatting with her online friend.

Stop.

Who are you chatting with?

An online friend.

What online friend?

It's a boy or a girl?

She's not a little kid anymore.

It's her privacy. Don't check her phone.

There are so many scammers on the Internet.

I'm afraid she will be cheated by some guy.

See it yourself.

It's a girl.

Don't be so annoyed.

You need to be careful.

You should learn to distinguish the good guys from the bad guys.

There are so many scammers on the Internet.

If you have time to spend on your phone,

why not learn more English?

Fine.

You're so annoying.

How can she be so rude to me?

Well.

Don't be mad at her.

It's your fault. You always spoil her.

- Bing. - Shitou.

Why are you here together?

Shitou gave us a ride.

I drove so far to pick you up.

Like I wanted to give you a ride.

Ma always wants a free ride.

I'm not like you.

Where is our birthday girl?

She's probably coming with

Ai Wen and Bin soon.

You go in first.

Let's go.

We'll go in first.

Let's go in.

Don't be angry.

Tong is a little angry with you

because you planned to

invite Cheng Bing.

But I won't invite him now.

Why is she still angry?

The older she is, the more immature she becomes.

Mom, Sister went out.

Are we still going to have a steak dinner?

Where is she now?

He likes it too.

Buy him one if he likes it.

Bing.

Hello, Uncle Cheng.

Don't answer it. It is me.

Why isn't Miaomiao with you?

She went out early in the morning.

Maybe she went to the nursing home

to see her grandma.

Probably.

You go in first.

They are all here.

Okay, okay.

Ma.

Let's play.

Are you Lord Meow?

You are Color of Wind?

Yes.

We've finally met.

This is the birthday meal I prepared for you.

What do you think?

These are all my favorites.

How do you know me so well?

We were born on the same day.

Of course I can know what your likes are.

Try these.

These cookies are very good.

Okay.

I bought these strawberries

at the market this morning.

I washed them clean and brought them here.

And these cookies

are all for you.

I don't know if you like the pizza.

Put cola aside.

Let's drink beer.

I don't know how to drink beer.

You don't know how to drink beer?

You're 19 years old.

Don't be afraid.

Here.

Let me open it for you.

Why does the beer taste like this?

It tastes bitter, right?

This is how life is.

It's bitter at first, and then it gets sweet.

You'll get used to its taste gradually.

Drink more.

I'm Cheng Siyuan's mother.

Did Cheng Siyuan

contact your daughter?

No?

Okay, thank you.

Sorry.

Hello?

Hello, Cheng Bing.

Did Tong contact you?

Tong?

What's wrong with Tong?

I am asking you. Did she contact you?

No.

Wenfang.

What's wrong with Tong?

Nothing.

Cheng.

Zhao.

What's going on with Tong?

Maybe she went to see her online friend.

Online friend?

What online friend?

She said it was some girl

called Lord Meow.

She may have gone to see her.

Lord Meow?

You know it?

Is the story of you and your uncle real?

Of course.

I wish my dad could treat me like your uncle treats you.

My uncle

also has a daughter.

It's her birthday today too.

Really?

Your uncle must be

celebrating her birthday with her.

They haven't seen each other for a long time.

Why not?

He said

he felt he owed much

to his daughter.

I asked him,

"Shouldn't you make up for it if you feel you owe to her?

He said

he didn't know if it was too late to do it.

Your uncle is a good man.

Yes.

But he lied to me.

What do you mean?

He tried to get to know me

because he wanted to

find out the truth from me.

The truth?

What truth?

The truth about my eldest uncle.

My father

and my eldest uncle

both committed crimes.

The difference is,

my eldest uncle escaped

while my father

died

during the interrogation.

When I knew that he got to know me

because he wanted to use me,

I was very angry.

I wanted to kill him.

Why didn't you do it?

A person's feelings

are complicated.

Whatever the reason why he wanted to know me was,

he could have left me anytime.

He could have just disappeared.

But he didn't.

He saw me as his own daughter.

He looked after me,

put up with me,

and protected me.

People's eyes can always show true feelings.

Every time he looked at me,

I knew

what he saw was his own daughter.

I saw his deepest love and his guilt for his daughter

in his eyes.

What is this?

My uncle recorded

what he wanted to say to his daughter with this device.

Tong.

Happy birthday.

This is the first time

I have spoken to you in this way.

I remember that on the day when you were born,

I promised your mother

that I would go to the hospital to keep her company.

But suddenly, I was assigned an urgent task by the team.

So when I arrived at the hospital,

you were already in your mother's arms.

Your mother complained to me

that I wasn't even there

when you came to this world.

I felt very sorry

when I was holding you at that time.

All of a sudden,

you smiled at me.

It was like you were telling me,

"Dad,

I forgive you."

At that moment,

I swore to myself

that I would love you forever.

But later,

I got busier and busier with work.

And I had less and less time to spend with you.

But you were always on my side.

Even when I quarreled with your mother,

you were still on my side.

Maybe that's why

I started to forget

how to be a good father.

Later, that thing happened.

I felt like I fell from heaven to hell.

That incident made my life miserable.

I started to give up on myself.

I even wanted to kill myself.

One day, your mother came to see me

and brought a photo of you.

When I was looking at your photo,

I suddenly had the courage to continue my life.

From then on,

I looked forward to being released from prison

and seeing you.

I just hope you can be happy and healthy when you grow up.

And

if possible,

I hope you can remember

that you have an irresponsible father

who will love you forever.

Calm down.

Cheng Bing.

Wenfang.

Cheng Bing.

Wenfang, Wenfang, calm down.

Wenfang.

What are you up to?

Wenfang, what are you doing?

How can you be so despicable?

In order to see your daughter,

you asked that girl to make friends with her?

What do you want?

I really didn’t know

Miaomiao and Tong knew each other.

You didn't know?

Miaomiao is with you all the time.

How can you say you didn't know it?

What do you want?

Let him finish.

Maybe he really didn't know.

Wenfang, calm down.

Tong will be fine. Don't worry.

Fine, you didn't know about it.

Tell me

where Tong is now.

Wang Miaomiao is Wang Eryong's daughter, right?

You know how Wang Eryong died.

Now they're staying together,

how can you be sure she's safe?

Cheng.

Cheng.

Tong.

Hurry up. Come.

Tong.

Tong.

Where have you been?

Are you okay?

Mom, I'm fine.

Father.

Father.
