Now I see on the… on the… in the media

they keep on referring to you
as the "Facebook rapist".

The so-called
"Facebook serial rapist" Thabo Bester

lured young women
with the promise of modelling contracts

and befriended them on his Facebook page.

Bester is believed to be linked
to about 20 cases of rape and robbery.

That escalated to a full-blown murder
when he stabbed a young model to death.

This is a dangerous man.

I did not feel like
a normal human being anymore.

He's a psychopath.

Bester was sentenced
to life imprisonment

for multiple rapes and murder.

And yet, while he was still in prison,
there were women in particular

coming to see him.

And one of the women
was a celebrity doctor,

Nandipha Magudumana.

How is it that a doctor could fall for
a convicted murderer?

Love, it can
make you do unbelievable things.

It was clear that she was smitten by him.

South Africa hasn't really seen
a Bonnie and Clyde duo.

And then I realised
this thing is unravelling.

Thabo Bester was in charge and in control.

This monster, he is this evil. He's vile.

What actually transpired
between the two of them?

Perhaps she lured him.

Is this some stupid,
crazy, mad greed?

How was it possible
for someone to pull this off?

I can't imagine my daughter
to do such things.

Is she an accomplice? Is she a victim?

Well maybe she is a victim, but
the story's gonna have to be fucking good.

Hey. I don't even know
where to start.

I'll try my best
to cover as much as I can.

Please don't give this to anyone

'cause I don't want
people coming after you.

Oh, God, help me.

You know, I don't know if I'm gonna
do this whole sentence in here

or if they're gonna one day kill me.

Only God knows

the true intentions of every human.

But hey, if anything happens to me,

at least I know you tried to help me.

The Department of
Correctional Services announced

that Thabo Bester, also known as
the infamous "Facebook rapist,"

had set himself alight
in his cell and died.

The South African
Department of Correctional Services

are investigating
the death of Thabo Bester.

How on earth could
something like this happen?

The Correctional Services
will have to give account

as to what transpired
and what steps are to be taken in future.

You know,
how is it possible that an inmate

in a maximum security prison
was able to set himself alight?

Have we started yet, Antony?

We get this report that Thabo Bester
has been, uh, burned to death in his cell

by suicide.

Prisons are miserable places

and they trigger terrible thoughts, uh,
amongst those who are confined.

So we have regular reports
of self-terminations.

This one was unique and it was weird.

The first odd thing was that
there had never been a death by fire

in a cell in Mangaung max prison.

It's a well constructed prison.

The cells are in clusters,
like in the American prisons,

and they modelled it on
American super max prisons.

And then the second thing
is that suicide by fire

without a major propellant
is very difficult.

So how do you commit suicide
in a locked cell at 3:00 in the morning

by putting yourself under
your own mattress

and setting light to the mattress?

Very weird indeed.

When I heard that
he died in his cell, I was shocked…

…'cause now it's someone
who you actually knew.

In 2012, at the time
of Thabo Bester's arrest,

I was still a junior reporter
and I covered a lot of crime stories

so it wasn't strange to get a phone call
from a prisoner.

And then I received a phone call.

-You have a collect call from…
-…Thabo Bester.

And he says, "It's the Facebook rapist."

And at the time, everybody knew
who the Facebook rapist was.

He got the name because of how
he lured his victims.

He would friend request them
or message them on Facebook

and he would pretend
to be a modelling agent,

offer them a model contract,

and he would rob and, in some cases
he would rape the woman.

This is soon after a rape,
very relaxed, leaning over.

You know, he liked to steal
their laptops as well.

So a month or so later, he was arrested
in Joburg during an attempted hijacking.

That's where he then pleaded guilty
for the murder that he committed.

And at the time when I spoke to him,

he had already been sentenced
to life plus 25 years.

And then he says to me, "No, you need
to come and see me in prison,

I wanna speak to you face to face."

I said, "Okay."

It was raining. It was a grey, wet day.

And I remember on our way there,
we were… we were nervous and excited

because we were chasing after
this exclusive.

And then a few minutes later,
out comes Bester.

It was my first time also
sitting across from a convicted murderer.

And he says, "Hey, guys."

And-And really it was like

we were these long-lost friends
who hadn't seen each other in a long time.

There's nothing about him
that's intimidating.

So when… …he speaks,

you almost feel like
you're speaking to, you know,

somebody who's a good person
who made bad decisions.

You almost forget who the man actually is.

During one of our visits,

the prison guards made
a very interesting comment

and said, "Oh, are you guys also fans,
coming to see Thabo?"

At that moment, we realised that
there were… there were people coming…

women in particular, coming to see him.

He knows how to catch his prey
and he knows what to…

kind of, you know,
how to play on feelings and emotions.

To the point where you're thinking,

"How is it that you are
this person in front of us,

but to somebody else you are
nothing but a cold-blooded killer?"

Three days after the fire, a woman had
come forward at the Free State Morgue

to claim Thabo Bester's body.

And she had identified herself
as Dr Nandipha Magudumana.

Who is this doctor that
has gone to claim Thabo Bester's body?

I think it was one reporter that said,
"Yeah, she's an influencer,

she's so popular."

"If you do what you love, you will
never have to work a day in your life,"

was the saying which inspired
Dr Nandipha Magudumana,

founder of Optimum Medical Aesthetics.

So what are the results going to be?

-Can I be honest with you?
-Yes.

The results are instant.

She was a cosmetic doctor,

um, that had a very large following
on social media.

I think we all go through challenges

and the most important thing,

to remain focused and committed
and living with positivity.

She had a multi-million rand company.

So we make people beautiful.

-Oh, wow.
-That's what we do, yeah.

She appeared to be extremely successful
in multiple business ventures.

Today I'm at our wellness centre
and our construction site.

But the strange thing was that

she claimed she was
Bester's customary law wife…

and requested that the body
be transferred to a morgue in Soweto

where she had planned to do the funeral.

Why was it that this
extremely successful doctor

was involved with a rapist and a murderer?

The news that Thabo Bester
had died was widely reported

and at that stage, uh, Meisie Mabaso,
Thabo Bester's mother,

wanted to claim her son's body.

When I switched on the radio,

that is when I heard that
Thabo burnt inside a cell.

The South African
Police Service has confirmed the suicide

of rapist and murderer Thabo Bester.

I couldn't think of anything
because I was mourning Thabo.

We darkened the windows
to show that there'll be a funeral.

The police came here
and then they came and take the blood test

because they make… they want to make sure…

…that it was indeed Thabo.

They told me that the body
was taken by Nandipha.

She is the one that
went to see Thabo in prison

so when Thabo died,
the body was given to her.

After the police left,
Nandipha came to see me.

When she got out of the car,
she was wearing a blue tracksuit.

You're not supposed to
wear pants during mourning.

You should wear a skirt and cover
your head in respect for the family.

She just tell me
she was staying with Thabo…

she is married to Thabo.

And then me… I don't know.
I was confused, confused, confused.

Can you tell me,
then, uh, your mum's first name.

-Just so that I have her first name.
-Meisie.

-But you lived most of your life…
-My grandmother.

…with your grandmother? Okay.

In a nutshell, if you could
kind of describe your younger years.

I-I fell in love
with the entertainment industry.

And I looked at these people and
I admired them and I looked up at them.

And I felt that I would love to live
like them, drive the cars they drive…

I think that's where my problems started.

Why?

Um, I-I couldn't separate reality
and the actual facts…

-Yeah.
-…and, um…

…that's probably why
I'm sitting where I'm sitting right now.

He's genuinely crazy.

I don't know what
specifically drew him to me…

Everybody, please put your hands together

Back then,
um, Facebook was a big thing.

That is how Thabo got a hold of me.

It was some sort of a TV hosting gig.

I got there and then he got in the car.

After about maybe 25 minutes of driving,
he says, "Turn left here,"

and I realise it's a dead end.

As I turn to look at him,
he's already drawn the knife.

My mind is racing,
my adrenaline is pumping.

I'd never felt so stupid.

I think I asked him, you know,
"Why… Why are you doing this?"

Well, he starts a monologue
about his life,

and how hard it has been.

For me, as a young Christian woman,

this was a huge opportunity
to do the right thing.

And I really believed that I was…

about to help someone.

I said, "Give your life to God
or at least speak to my pastor,"

and, at some point, he agreed.

He sold his story to Pastor Gift as well.

As soon as Pearl came in,
I asked him why did he do what he did.

His response was, "I'm sorry.

I didn't mean to do it.
I don't know what got into me."

I actually said,
"Pearl, call the police right now."

You know, and she said,
"Please, Gift, let's not. He needs help."

We prayed together
and then him and I left.

And I saw a police van.

I said, "Oh, we can
ask the police to drop you off."

And that was the last time
I ever saw his face.

I gave him a bible that day.

I think some part of me always wanted
to feel how it feels like to have a knife

and have somebody under your control.

So we get this post-mortem report
about the suicide of the Facebook rapist.

The post-mortem showed a wizened body,
uh, severely burnt.

It also showed that, uh,
there'd been some major, uh, foul play.

Thabo Bester had a cranial injury,
a blow to the head

which was probably fatal,

and it indicated that
there was no inhalation of fumes.

So this was
definitely not simply a suicide.

This was someone
who died some time before,

and placed inside the cell
and then severely burnt.

The police then changed the docket
from a suicide investigation

to a homicide investigation.

Someone may have murdered Thabo Bester
in his prison cell.

Before the fire, Bester had requested
to be put in solitary confinement

because he was getting threats
and he feared for his life.

I informed the authorities.
I know that they're trying to kill me.

Murders in prison usually happen
with either gang initiation

and those are quite violent.

But my initial reaction was,

"How did that person gain access
to cell 35?"

Because he was inside
a locked single cell

in this hyper-secure area
of Mangaung super max.

There were some 20 personnel
on duty that night.

And it's hard to believe that any of them

weren't either party to what was happening
or warned to look away.

What does it say
about security in South Africa's prisons?

Organised crime syndicates
are running these centres.

Police at the time realised
that something was amiss

and they then prevented Dr Nandipha
from doing the funeral.

Nandipha Magudumana approached
the Pretoria High Court.

She filed an urgent application

for the court to grant her the right
to basically bury Bester,

saying that it was a gross misduty,
that she wasn't able to bury her husband

and it was an injustice by,
you know, the state.

And it was a
"anguish and tears" application.

"I claim to be his common-law wife.
I want the body."

But the police decided that
the application had to be opposed.

If your… you know,
your husband is murdered,

you'd want the police to take their time,

but she, for some reason, wanted
the body released as soon as possible

so that the burial
can be done almost immediately.

That's when we started questioning,
you know,

"Is there something more to this?"

And it came to light that she was actually
at the time currently married…

also to another doctor,
and a mother of two.

I'm so grateful for those little people
and just having them in my life.

And that was omitted
in her court application.

Under South African law,

you cannot be married under customary law

if you are legally married
to someone else.

So that definitely raised red flags.

And it became clear that
there was more to this story.

And that we needed to,

you know, put the time and the resources
into finding out who is she,

because there was even a point,
I think, where I questioned,

you know, "Do we have the right Nandipha?"

Nandipha, our daughter…

…she was born,
covered in something like membrane.

In our language,
it's called "Isiqubuthelo."

It's something which is said
that a child born with that

usually lives an extraordinary life.

My sister,
Nandipha, she's a perfectionist.

Whatever she does, she does it
to the best of her abilities.

Oh, that one.
She was very brilliant.

Brilliant at school.

That was her focus,

as well as cooking with her mother
in the kitchen.

Oh, she cooked very nice.

It was
in the year 2013 when I met Nandipha.

Immediately, when we met,
Nandipha and I, we hit it off.

And from that time, we were inseparable.

Becoming almost family.

She is very religious.

She had her faith in Christ,

and we used to encourage each other
with the Word.

I mean, guys, never underestimate
the power of a good support structure.

She was
a very intentional person.

So she would always work
towards this legacy

that she wanted to… to build for herself

and the establishment
of Optimum Medical Aesthetics.

I've always had good skin,
so she'd always used to say,

"Hhayi, Hhayi, Hhayi, you.
You know, I like having you here,

but you're a waste of a client

because everyone wants to know what you're
doing, but you're not really doing much."

That nice, plump look.

She's very good at… at her work.

Also very media-savvy.

We're joined in the studio by Dr Nandipha.

Uh, Nandipha did love being well known…
a well-known individual.

Sh-She enjoyed it.

You're huge on social media.

I built that separately
from my medical career.

It just merged,
and they're working together.

As a proud person, she said,
"Come and look at my Instagram."

A man old as me,
getting into things like Instagram.

I was so surprised when I found

that she had a following of
more than a hundred thousand people.

I said, "What are you going
to do with these people?"

And then…
…the assets that were being accumulated

that gave the image of money flowing in.

There was no problem with money.

From designer handbags
to buying new cars and fancy holidays,

and then, you're just like,
"I guess people are living."

Live your light.

In 2022, Nandipha is a public figure,

an established, world-renowned brand.

She is a hard worker,

a family person at the very same time,

and she's juggling all of this
all at once.

Don't chase the money. Chase the work.

An intellect of note.

And whatever she devotes herself to do,

she will do
and she will see it to completion.

During this period,

it was random, wealthy individuals
that would be around her.

For instance, individuals
from the people I knew as friends.

She had new friends.

Friends with money.

When I first heard
of TK Nkwana it was in 2020.

Nandipha had given me a call,

informing me that
there's a business person who saw her work

and had interest into investing in it
to further expand.

Nandipha spoke very highly of him,

as someone you could trust.

But I had never met TK in person.

However, in 2022…

I was fortunate enough to have been
in the reception area.

And here comes this guy,

has sunglasses on.

In sportswear, to be quite specific.

Mr TK Nkwana.

He spoke sense, and whatever he spoke,
you would listen to.

Lunga, I want my diary to
be consistently busy with opportunities.

I'll do something nice for you
on Monday, okay? It's a promise.

His relationship with Nandipha
was professional as far as I knew.

However, the flirtation that
I would pick up between the two of them,

it got to a point whereby I could tell,
"No, man. This cannot just only be work."

A lot of time was being spent together.

A lot of travelling
was being done together.

So, is this person
only a business partner?

Or is he also a partner?

I asked Nandipha,
was she in a relationship with TK?

She wasn't comfortable speaking about it.

She's, sort of, very cagey

when it comes to
her own personal relationships.

It's, uh, sort of,
you take it as you see it.

But clearly,
something was happening.

Because TK would pick up the kids
from school from time to time.

Lunga, tell Nandipha I'll get the kids.

I mean, a business…
How does your business partner

get to pick up your kids from school?

All of these things
were happening

while the circumstances around
the death of her alleged husband,

they were still under investigation

because the police were seemingly,
at that stage, dragging their feet.

It seemed to
be increasingly clear

that there were
really weird, uh, uh, events

with this murder of the Facebook rapist.

Slowly, the other suspicious aspects
started rolling in.

The Broadway Unit,

which is the ultra-security, ultra-max
unit within this ultra-max prison,

all of which were covered by CCTV cameras…

which were turned off that night.

I alerted the National Commissioner,

uh, saying, "This is our suspicion.
This is where the evidence is pointing."

We didn't make conclusions
because it wasn't our job.

At the Judicial Inspectorate, we wait
for the Department's report and findings

before we issue our final report.

But nothing had happened yet.

And nothing had happened for six months.

We then call for a meeting with the Hawks.

And nothing happens.

It was at that point that I-I concluded,

and I did this on my own responsibility,

I'm not implicating any
of my colleagues in JICS,

I concluded that
this had to be made public.

Our editor
called us all in and said,

"Close the door. We've got something
important we need to discuss."

And that's when he explained to us

that he had received a tip-off
from Justice Edwin Cameron

that Thabo Bester died
under peculiar circumstances.

We wondered
whether corruption was involved.

We wondered
whether it was just incompetence.

Those are the issues that we pursue,

and that's when we knew we needed
to put someone on this immediately.

-When you're ready.
-No, just fixing my hair here.

So the first article
that was published

just focused on how, after six months,

there was still very little information
about the investigation

and so many mysteries surrounding
what exactly happened that night.

And in that report, we also included some
of the rumours that were going around

about Bester was afraid
of the Numbers Gang

and that he was fearing for his life

and that they might've been responsible
for his death.

But to our surprise, it did not get
the traction and the attention

that we thought and expected.

I don't entirely blame the public

for not being empathetic
to the news of his passing

because he was a rapist and a murderer
who murdered a woman.

'Cause… 'Cause for me, what's…
what's kinda striking is that, I mean,

you have the two rapes that occur, yoh,
uh, what did you say, a week or two apart.

A week apart.

And how did things, sort of, progress?

'Cause, obviously,
we know some more serious things,

kind of followed from there.

We came from London in 2010.

Our guest house, originally,
it was named Ocean Breeze Villa.

And our second guest was,
um, Thomas Bester.

He requested, uh, two nights
to stay with his girlfriend.

So they arrived in a taxi, um,
about 9:00 in the evening.

She was slightly taller than Bester.

She was wearing high heels.

She had a designer bag.

She just behaved herself as a very
intelligent and very well-brought up girl,

you know, from a good family.

And then around about,
not midnight, about 2:00, 3:00,

I woke up. We had a fight.

I realised that there's no…
there's no denying it.

In the morning, she's probably gonna wanna
leave the first thing in the morning.

So I did not have a cent.

I spent all my money on her
and everything.

I went downstairs, got a knife.

When I got up, when I got back…
back in her room,

she was awake and standing.

But she did not understand
what I was doing with the knife.

Early morning,
about 7:00 in the morning,

he was locking the door in front of me,

and I said, "Why do you lock her in?"

He said, "Oh, don't worry about her.

We've been walking all night,

and she's very tired,
so she'll be sleeping all day.

And I'll come back lunch time."

My husband came down,
and they went to the City Centre.

He asked him
to drop him at the bus station.

And I started checking on her.

Three times I knocked on the door,
and I had no response whatsoever.

And then in the evening, I said,

"Kevin, something that's not right
in that room."

And when we came in, it was a mess.

And I noticed, um, this…
her silhouette under the duvet,

totally covered by things.

And I just lifted
the corner of this duvet,

and I saw blood.

And I said,
"Kevin, call the police. She's dead."

That's a senseless,
senseless loss of life. Terrible.

He's definitely a psychopath.

Um, hundred percent,
um, completely detached.

So my intention
was never to kill anyone.

But I'm responsible for her death, yes.

I'm not responsible for killing her.

I-I read the papers

and I feel like they're talking
about somebody else. Not me.

I look at these charges
and I don't think it's me.

It just shows you, sometimes, what God
or the universe is protecting you from

even when you have no idea.

'Cause I had no fucking clue

what I was dealing with.

He's a psychopath.

I couldn't have helped him.

That day I dropped him off, I…

Once the police put him at…

'Cause they put him
at the back of the van,

I could have… I could have told them
what had happened,

and maybe I could've gotten him locked up.

And…

And that I could have
saved someone's life.

Like, someone
who actually needed to be saved.

So do you think you would've done
something like this again

if you hadn't got arrested for that other…

Are you trying to say am I dangerous

-to the community or anything like that?
-Mmm.

Yeah, I do think so.

I was asking myself at the time,

"Who else would've wanted Bester dead if
it wasn't him who had committed suicide?"

And even Dr Nandipha's involvement in this
was suspicious.

Which is why I think it's odd
that police had never considered her

as a person of interest.

So I knew that…
that there had to be more to this.

I met Dr Nandipha

as she was the owner of Optimum.

We were…
We were providing security services

for the GreenPark Corner building.

First time I saw TK…

…when he came to drop
Dr Nandipha at the practice…

…then, yeah,
that's when we saw him.

A nice guy
who was always dressed smart

and always had his shades on.

Then we were told that he was
the new owner of Optimum from overseas.

That's when we started
to notice the change.

The ladies we used to see at Optimum,

they were no longer working there,
it was other people.

Everything changed when TK arrived.

So that's when I realised that
this business partner is,

all of a sudden, involved in
almost everything and anything

that has to do with Dr Nandipha
and Optimum Medical Aesthetics.

If you are myself, you-you'd want to know
who this person is and what he does,

so that you get better insight
of who she was dealing with

because he was introduced to be
this prominent businessman.

But even if you were to google him,
you'd find nothing about him.

A lot wasn't adding up to me.

And I was worried.
I was concerned as a friend.

So myself and Nandipha,
we are having a lunch meeting

so as to understand
what is really happening.

Then, in the middle of the meeting,

here comes about… it was four guys.

It was four guys.

-Dr Nandipha.
-Hi.

-How are you, sweetie? You well?
-Good thanks. How are you?

-Can we sit? Thank you.
-Yeah, you can sit down.

There's a case open against you.

There's a docket ag-against you

where you took the car
over the border to Zimbabwe.

-You're still outstanding 700,000 rand.
-No.

The car is still standing at the border.
We've tracked the car to the border.

He trusted you,
and, uh, you went back on your word.

Uh, you haven't paid him in full.

How are we going to get that 700,000?

And they're like, "Dr Nandipha,

uh, this is with regards to
a Mercedes Benz S-Class

that you drove, left at the border,
didn't pay this much…"

Like, I've never seen any S-Class.

I've never known of any trip to Zimbabwe.

I do not know who these people are.

-But there is a case.
-Mm-hmm.

But Devan… Devan said
we can do this amicably.

All he wants is his money.

So you just need to p-pay him the
outstanding 700,000 and he'll leave it.

I'll speak to the person
Devan had an agreement with.

-And then I'll let you know.
-Who… Who is that person?

At this point, I am completely confused.

I asked, "What was that about?"

And she's like, "Pray for me.
Clearly, they're coming for me.

They're coming to destroy me.

They're coming for my reputation.

And they're coming
for everything that I have."

But the question now is, "Who are they?"

And all of a sudden,
she had a driver and a bodyguard.

And that was… Why do you need a bodyguard?

At this time,
she had also distanced herself

from a lot of friends
and a lot of social gatherings.

So she was quite isolated.

I could see that, like, her, um…
her light was n-not there anymore.

She was more tense
than she was previously.

Because she was just
not feeling good about herself,

or there was so much more going on.

Nandipha,
she was very scarce,

um, even around the parents.

And the parents were actually worried
and a bit concerned.

It's not like Nandipha to turn a blind eye
into them being around.

I started to see changes that time.

But I kept thinking,
"What happened to Nandipha?"

She was always stressed on a phone call.

You know, not paying attention to a lot
of things that was happening around her.

She never had one number.

That was also another issue.

Till I decided, "You know what?
Let me start contacting the practice,"

whenever I wanted to reach her.

Constantly, she's out of office.
She's seeing a client.

And I don't know about this.

This behaviour now is kind of…

unsettling with one.

My concern led me to, unannounced,
rock up at her house.

And she's like, "Is it fine if we take it
to the tennis court?"

Even before saying anything,
the tears she cried… She was emotional.

She doesn't need to say much.

I knew that something
certainly was not right.

She wasn't herself.

She wasn't happy.

But then she wouldn't say… come out
and say what is actually wrong.

I strong believed
that TK might have had a contribution

to what she was undergoing.

Because prior to that,

I had never known Nandipha
to be in that state.

Was he not the reason
for what my friend is undergoing?

Because my friend
is not speaking about it.

Of which it's very unusual.

I didn't know what was his intention

because he positioned himself

to gain power and access

to all that she is
and all that she's about.

A lot of approvals had to come from him

prior to anything being made
or any decision being taken.

And whatever he says, goes.

Just make sure that
you and Nandipha sort out my website,

and that Nandipha, tomorrow,
does a video for your YouTube

and does the introduction of Optimum.

We used to share
scripture a lot with each other.

And she would require so much of that
this time around.

It was a need.

It was a cry for serious help.
Like, it was a cry that,

"I need God now more than ever."

For almost a year, nothing
was happening with this investigation.

…number
you have dialled does not exist.

We had been stonewalled
by so many of the authorities.

So we were still missing crucial evidence
to take the story forward.

I reached a point where it felt
as if we were chasing a ghost.

But in March, we finally got hold of
the full autopsy report

which showed that the person had died
due to a blunt-force head injury.

But interestingly, this report also showed

that the person was around 1.45 m

which was odd because in a mugshot
that we had found of Bester,

he stood well above 1.7 m.

And that was
a significant difference.

Even if a person has died through fire,

there's no way that a body would
shrink to that significant amount.

You also had, uh, Meisie Mabaso,
Thabo Bester's mother…

Her DNA didn't match to the body.

So the question was,

"Who had died in that cell
and what had happened to Thabo Bester?"

Uh, so you published a report

basically telling us
that Bester may be alive.

…begging the question
of how this happened

at a maximum-security prison.

That, in itself, remains a mystery.

In a private prison, where the numbers
of inmates are closely monitored.

Incredible stuff. You just… You just
cannot make this kind of thing up.

Certainly, the story that
everyone has been speaking about

across the country.

It was one of the busiest
and chaotic times at GroundUp.

The phones were ringing off the hook.

More people have been coming forward
with their own information.

We were getting far more emails
than what we could actually process.

And that's when we got,
I think, a phone call,

from someone that says,
"I've got a photo."

It was this woman,

and she explained that
she was in Woolworths in Sandton City

sometime in June 2022, a month
after Bester had supposedly died.

She saw Nandipha,

and she, as well as a friend,
are pretty big fans of Nandipha.

So she quickly tried
to take a picture of her.

And in that picture, we see Nandipha

shopping with a man
who very closely resembled…

Thabo Bester.

Then I started realising, "Whoa."

That photo revealed that a rapist
and a murderer was out in the public

at the pay till with Nandi Magudumana

who was with her two young children.

This proved that Bester
had faked his death,

and he had escaped.

I don't know this Thabo Bester guy.
