There are unwanted litters
or unexpected pet allergies.

Some animals we just find.

The lucky ones end up somewhere

like Morningside Animal Rescue,

where we do our very best

to find them a new forever home
with a good family.

That's very noble of you.

our rescue is completely
dependent on volunteers.

At the moment,
we're running on fumes.

aren't there adoption fees,

uh, when the rescue
finds a new home?

people will just run off

to a breeder and buy a puppy.

just want a younger pet

that they can raise themselves.

Some of our fur babies

have been here for a while,
just waiting.

But we do what we can for them.

They're a lot harder to round up

Her name is Lark.

And she is as friendly
as she is stunning.

Now, rest assured,
the antlers are temporary.

She's not much of a walker.

our lady of mystery, M-I-A, Mia.
