eight drivers raced in Colorado's

difficult altitude for $10 ,000 and
points towards that individual

Kai Kelly started off strong again as he
beat Kayla Morton in the first round.

A little bit of $100 I didn't guess.

And then got a bye in the second round
when Axeman broke the blower. So we'll

let Jingle Lang move on. All right, man.
Appreciate it.

Giuseppe also looked fast as he took
down Damon Merchant and Lizzie Mewson.

And Giuseppe gets the win.

Wow.

That led to a rematch in the finals
between Kai Kelly and Giuseppe. Number

and number two standing here in front of
me in the finals. So the fastest two

guys.

Kai came away with his third grade eight
win of the season and extended his

points lead.

Kai Kelly gets the win.

That makes it an even 20 points I'm
ahead of him. So he's got a long road if

he's going to catch me.

Now the top eight drivers in points will
head to Las Vegas where they'll battle

out for $10 ,000 and the critical points
towards that change.

Big show in store for you today. A lot
of racing.

Guys and ladies, let's get this driver's
meeting done with. This is the grade

eight driver's meeting.

Kai is in first.

He's got a little bit of a lead, not
much. But look, if he goes out first

here, you're already making up ground on
him. All right. And then we have

Giuseppe, you're in second. And Axeman,
you're in third. All right.

We're here in Nevada at the Las Vegas
Motor Speedway.

This track opened its doors in 1972, and
it is 15 miles north of the Las Vegas

Strip.

It has been redesigned over the years,
and tonight it will host our eighth

of the Grade 8 Series.

Here's how it works. If you win the
Grade 8, you get 10 points. Plus, you

get $10 ,000.

If you runner up, you get seven. And if
you make it to the semifinals, you will

get three.

Those points go towards an individual
championship that will be worth $100

at the end of the season.

Kai Kelly's coming into the event with a
commanding lead, but Giuseppe and

Axeman are trying to catch up.

You know everyone's hoping that someone
can take out Kai Kelly in the first

round to let the other drivers catch up.

Last one to join that grade eight, you
want to go on and take Kai right off?

That doesn't matter to me.

It really doesn't. No. At this point, I
got just as much chance of beating him

as I do any of you.

We drew Lizzie Musi round one. This is
our third time to match up.

Lizzie has been flying. She has that new
car figured out. In the grade A, it

doesn't matter who you draw. No draw is
a good draw, and it's really just who

does the best at that particular second.

Axeman versus Giuseppe.

All right.

Axeman's always a tough draw, so we've
got to really get our... together for

them here on this next round. We're six
and points now, so we've got to have a

good run.

As of now, we've been solidly in the
grade eight, but, man, it can change

quick, too. So the goal is, man, we've
got to have a good weekend this weekend,

basically. Number three, Damon Merchant.
Hey, Kai. Hey, Nate. Thanks, buddy.

I told you I'd be okay with taking him.
The fourth pair, Kai Kelly and Murder

I draw Kai first round of the grade
eight.

At this point, it is what it is. I'd
take any of them. This is my first trip

ever to the grade eight. I've never been
in it before.

I'm just happy to have my name on the
board in the grade eight and see if I

can't get some personal points.

The rest of these guys, other than Kai
and ladies, are wanting you to win. Just

letting you know. Whatever you need.

No pressure.

Let's go ahead and go back to our pit,
get our cars turned around.

And then it'll be the first round. All

I'm going to help him up.

This is Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It is
my... favorite place in the world. I

love Las Vegas. I love the energy here.
We're in the grade eight. A win in the

grade eight, it would mean a lot. It
would solidify our position.

It would get us out of, I think if we're
in like fifth place and move us up to

third or fourth and make the win for the
grade eight championship a little more

obtainable. And it would make me feel
like I could actually reach it rather

just, you know, sitting on the bottom
like, oh, I'm never going to get there.

but not for no Puff Kings event. Here we
are, we're still on the West Coast, and

we're struggling with keeping our motors
alive.

Like, a lot of people say, yeah, nice,
this car's got it easy running in

but no, not really. It's on stage.

We're, like, running up on the edge,
literally.

She was choking. The motor was choking
so damn bad.

Yeah. This car ain't easy.

Hopefully I don't have to be slinging
motors like this all the time. We've got

to get the tune -up right.

We're good? Yep.

We wanted to save a fresh new motor for
this race, and here we are.

We've got a brand new motor in it that
was sitting under the bay for a little

bit. Our goal is trying to find a tune
-up that will work for these conditions,

and we're struggling with that right
now. So we've also got to be fast.

You know, we could probably get away
with not running it as hard, but that's

going to win races either.

pretty confident.

We've been sitting for so long, me and

out for us and i'm ready for round two

a little on the tree. I was pretty honed

in. I wanted to win that race really
bad.

Anytime we race each other, there's just
a little extra want to win because we

both want to be the top girl here. I'm
just glad to get that grade A win and

that monkey off my back a little bit.

Hey, you know what I forgot? We got a
lot more lower speed in it, too, than

those tune -ups. So it might be making
two, three more pounds of boost right

there.

Right now we've been to three finals in
the Grade 8, and we haven't been able to

pull it off every time we've had
something or we ran good or got outrun

Right now, man, we really, really want
that Grade 8. We just want to get that

monkey off our back, get that win, get
our first win in the Grade 8, and then

continue from there.

What I'm going to do to you is the same
thing we did last week. Hey, man, how

about it?

That's what I want. I'll do that to you.
I like it when I get out and I'm

jumping by that high.

I got the win in grade 8 back in
Kentucky.

But since Kentucky, I've been
struggling.

Honestly, I'm lucky to still be in the
grade 8. I just need one run to get our

located. It kind of felt like the other
day when it laid down. But it was still

pulling the wind exactly like the other
day. It cut off.

At this time, when I kind of laid down a
little, I said, let me just be safe.

Hopefully, we can get the thing dialed
in. I can get my confidence back and go

some rounds and get another win.

No, it shattered. It shattered. I had to
lift.

Going into it, I knew I had to cut a
light and hold it to the floor because I

knew he was going to be fast, and it
just worked out for me, honestly.

Like I say, me and Giuseppe, we're
pretty tight, so like I say, it's no fun

beat somebody that's like a brother to
you, but still, at the end of the day, I

wanted that win. When we rolled in, we
both wanted that same thing.

Didn't really see him.

Started to shake the tires, and I had to
lift, and he flew right by me. It was

over. I think it made a couple hundred
feet, 250, 300 feet.

Got to look at the car, see why it keeps
shaking there. I mean, I know the

track's a little tricky, a little
different than what we're normally

So go back, look at some data, and go
from there.

That time, usually when I drive, I just
relax and just, like I say, just...

enjoy the ride and feel the g's and
concentrate on that that time i was

concentrating on driving because i was
waiting on it to break traction i was

about to turn but it stayed planted

i had a motor apart

and uh over last week

fixed a few things and

We're back to having our oil leak that
we had before.

We just made our test pass.

The car made a hell of a leak, but it
sprayed oil everywhere.

We're fighting that same issue we had
back in Tulsa where it was spraying a

little bit, spraying a little bit, and
then all of a sudden we had a huge mess

on our hands.

Right now we've got a huge mess on our
hands.

We tracked it down last time in the
China Rail area right through here where

that whole valley feels full of oil.

We've been fighting this gremlin a
little bit over the last two races.

Everybody thinks maybe the altitude is
bothering us or something like that. We

haven't even had a chance to make the
car make a hit to adjust to the

This is going to be a huge problem for
us to make next round.

I sent the tune -up over to Lee.

I told him it felt kind of like a turd.
I mean, it didn't feel like Denver.

But, you know, he went fast, and I told
him I don't want to lose. So he's going

to look at it and see. I told him the
plugs look pretty shiny, so he should be

able to put more in it. But we'll see
what he says.

First round, grade eight here in Vegas.
We got Damon Merchant, our teammate.

Good thing is, is one of us is going to
go on.

Obviously, we hope that it's us. We're
going to try and knock his head off. But

when we turn those lights on, we're not
teammates anymore.

It didn't feel good. Like when I left in
Denver, I was like, holy.

You know, it was starting to paddle the
tires.

Well, that's why I think we need to turn
the tire pressure up. So it's up on top

of the tire instead of paddling like
that.

I think when the tire pressure is so low
like that, it sinks that tire down to

the pavement.

Instead of when you get up on the tires,
when you go fast.

I'm going to call them back. What were
they at?

Six. I think they should be 6 .2 or 6
.5.

I think we used to run 6 .2 and 3 or
something.

Yeah. I think we ran 6 .2 and Tulsa. I
was just on the phone with the tuner.

I asked him to turn it up as much as I
could possibly have it. So, I mean,

coming to swing for it.

Damon's fast, so we have to.

Ready?

I think it's that bolt coming out again.

Like, whenever we had a little mess at
Tulsa, it was spraying out china rails.

We kept, like, doctoring that up, and
then a bolt came out. And I think that

bolt was coming out at Tulsa, spraying
around it, but the china rails were

leaking too.

We had a bolt come out.

from where Oil Galley is. It's sprayed
oil everywhere.

So I think we got that fixed, but we've
got to go around tonight because, you

know, Kai's killing it in points right
now on Friday night.

We were in second. We fall into fourth.

We've got to do everything we can,
scratch and claw, to get off our ass and

back into that running for, you know,
the race to the championship for

individual points.

Was out on him. Wasn't looking back. And
all of a sudden, pow.

Our streak of mishaps continues.

Well, it's like chugged down, boom,
boom, boom, boom, and then it's like

everything. It wouldn't go anywhere with
the pedal, so I got off of it right

here.

For almost a full second there, it
wouldn't do anything.

Felt like we put in preventative
maintenance, go over that thing with a

-tooth comb constantly, stay up late
nights, stay extra at the track, you

it's just...

Park failure, and it's kicking our ass
right now.

Man, we were kind of scared.

My tuner's in bed already because they
were over on the east coast two hours

later there.

I made the executive choice to leave the
tune -up in the car. It was a little

hot.

It left with the tires way up in the
air, and when they sat down, it launched

towards the left side, and I drove the
center line the rest of the way.

We're going on to the semifinals.
Hopefully we get a car we can outrun and

go from there.

Did I scare you?

I'm not going to vote. I was a little
scared myself.

I don't know.

It's hard to think about the grade
eight.

Everybody can draw fast.

You just got to think about your car.

And then screwing up.

So I drew Muranova in the grade 8 first
round.

He's new to the grade 8, but lately his
car's been getting fast. So I know he's

not a duck. I know he's not a good draw.

I think my car's faster than him. We
just, we got to look at our tune -up and

make sure we know we put something
that'll go right down the racetrack,

without shaking, and all over the place.

And that's what we've been doing all
year, staying conservative, and it

So that's what we're going to try.

He's new to the grade 8. I'd like for
him to do good. I like the guy, but I

really want to just put him right back
out.

First round.

Well, Kai, there's no friends on the
starting line.

So we go up there.

This is my first one. I'm already
intimidated by everybody, you know.

And an acting man looks at me and goes,
man, you're new to this.

Go ahead and take Kai for us. You know,
and I was like, yeah, probably.

And then I drew Kai.

We have now secured our spot in the
grade eight, and I couldn't be happier

that part of it. Right back to the bad
luck, I draw Kai. I raced him one time

this year. He had some problems on the
starting line, so I never got to see

I needed to be able to outrun him.

So even if we lose to him today, I'll
learn a lot. I'll know where I need to

pick up.

Kai's first pass ain't always his good
one.

It will be against me.

Yeah, but you weren't going to go on the
grade eight.

Mine will be too, though.

I'll beat Kai.

There's not a lot of people out here
who've done it, you know, and I sure

haven't. So I can't imagine it, but
hopefully it happens.

I really need you to take him out. Man,
dude, I promise you it ain't going to be

from a lack of trying.

That's the problem right now is
everybody wants me to beat Kai.

I think you can do it.

days. At the end of the day, I'm going

to see where I stack up against him.

We put the tune in it that we thought it
would take to outrun him. We didn't

look back.

It's either going to take it or it won't
take it. And it took it, and we got the

win. Thought you wanted to go to sleep.

All I thought, dude, did you see how
quick all the lights were all night?

All I thought was light, light. Then you
went in with your second bulb, and I

was, man, I'm.

That was my plan. I was like, I got to
let him go in last.

Good race.

He was fast, though. He made a good one.

I've been waiting on my time to get my
ass kicked.

That's what happened.

He just flat footed outran me. It was a
good race, but I just wasn't as fast as

he was.

He was definitely faster than us on that
one.

but it wasn't by a whole lot, and we
know he's one of the fastest cars here,

we're close.

Maybe he'll go ahead and win it to stop
everybody else's points, because his

deputy went out with me, so I'm good.

The first round of the Grade 8 is
complete, and in a huge turn of events,

Nova able to take out points leader Kai
Kelly. This is Sean's first Grade 8

race, and he is already making waves.

Now the remaining drivers have the
opportunity to make up some ground on

Kelly and close that gap.

Honestly,

that was best -case scenario for all of
us. You took out number two. Sean took

out number one.

Opens the opportunity, guys.

Kai and Giuseppe are both knocked out,
which is huge for us. I definitely owe

buddy Sean a little pat on the back for
that one.

One and two are out in the grade eight,
so that leaves an opportunity for myself

and Axeman.

to make our way through the middle of
the field and start catching up to them

points in that individual championship.

All right, here we go. We're going to go
ahead and start our Grade 8 semifinals

drivers meeting. We started with eight
drivers. Tonight we are now down to

Murder Nova, your first Grade 8
appearance, and you're going round.

And not only that, the person you took

last weekend in Denver, so it should be

another good one. He just keeps getting
faster, and his program is really

turning around.

But I feel like I have a stroke of luck
here in Vegas, so I'm hoping to take

this one and have a Kayla and Axeman
final.

At the end of the day, I just wanted my
name on the board. And we've got three

I need to go into this next round, take
out Kayla, and then go to the finals of

this thing. And it's doable.

Right now, my car's running just as good
as anybody's out here. And we have as

good a shot as anybody else to take this
deal home.

I feel like the win line came on super,
super late.

Calculating those little 10 ,000ths of a
second that separated us. The margin of

victory had to be really, really close.

But you can't be disappointed with a
race like that. It's just a side -by

race, and it's a good race.

I think the only other time I outran you
was, well, you red lit. Other than

that, I don't think I've ever outran
you. I will say, I think these are the

most evenly matched cars of the entire
field.

It's close, every time. Every time, man.
Every time. First grade eight, we're

headed to the finals.

We're fixing to find out who we're going
to the finals with.

I do believe that is, I think I beat
Kayla one other time, but it was because

she red lit.

So I think that was the first pass that
I beat Kayla, you know. Going to the

finals, I mean, we're going to try to
get this win.

Ah, one more.

One more. Man, I am just so happy for
you, Sean.

Wow. It's running good, huh?

She wasn't ever ahead of you, was she?

He said she was, and I said no.

No. No. All right. No, we made a good
one. So we can, I mean, it went fast.

Yeah, it did.

We can turn it up a little bit more.

You've got to make waves whenever you
get into something like this. It's the

first time I've ever been in the grade A
period, and here we are in the finals.

We've just been putting as much as we
possibly think the track can handle, you

know, and the car's going right down,
and it's happening.

That's all right. We've got 45 minutes,
and we ain't going to do nothing much.

We're just going to chip away at the
tune.

Second pair left.

Axeman. The old one.

I know, and I wanted this one.

Round two, grade eight, we drew Axeman.

We got left lane. We feel good about it.
Car made a stupid fast pass.

We're going to move some weight around
and keep the nose down.

Hopefully stop it from wheelieing so
hard.

Axeman's fast. They got the same kind of
power we do.

But I think I got something for him.

What's wrong here?

Did it bend it?

Yeah.

Don't worry about that one.

As long as you get the other one.

So round two, I drew Nate.

In Colorado, when I raced Nate, the
whole pass he pulled on me.

I'm thinking my pro charger was the
problem when it was going out.

That's what I'm hoping going into this
round, but he really did hurt my

when I seen him pull the head on me like
that. And then when he broke, I come

back around him, so I got the win there.

So I drew him again, so we're about to
find out how fast he really is.

Last pair coming at you here in the
Grade 8 semifinals over in the left

That's going to be Nate Saylor going up
against Ackman in the right lane.

Let's see who will go on to face Murder
Nova in the Grade 8 finals.

Take the win, and he will go on to face
Murder Nova in the Grade 8 finals for

$10 ,000.

I did a little extra long burnout
because it was left lane. I'd never been

it. I wanted to give my car as much
chance to get wheel speed as possible,

did an extra long burnout.

Let go of the button. I knew I'd treat
him because I didn't see him right away,

so the car went super straight, and we
turned on the wind light.

It probably was. You have to look at
this camera and see.

It wiggled, didn't it?

But it felt like it sped up when it
wiggled a little, like when it shifted.

Me and Nate rolled in.

My whole goal was to cut a better light
because I knew that this car was

rolling. He's got the bigger engine.

Trying to break the whole pass. I could
see him in the corner of my eye. I knew

that wasn't good.

My car moved a little, and I really
couldn't tell if he was pulling on me or

what. But when we got close to the
finish line, I could tell he was ahead

He got me.

That's just where it shifted. I didn't
have, I mean, it was actually rolling,

but when we were side by side, I felt
like that top end he had the other day

rather going to ease back up on me.
Yeah. Yeah.

He had to have me a little bit because
in my mind, I never thought I was

winning. So he had to have me, I'd say,
a half car.

Maybe the rest of the GoPro set. Yeah,
I'm throwing it up now.

That was the fastest pass we made all
weekend, right there.

I want that left lane again.

This is our first time ever in a final
for grade 8. We were in the final for

Invitational in Kentucky, I think.

But it feels good.

We're up against Murder Nova.

I mean, I watched this guy on TV
forever, and now I'm going to be in the

racing against him. It's just, it's
surreal.

It's badass. I got a badass team. I got
a badass tuner. And it's what allows us

to come out here and perform like we're
performing.

That thing took off and...

I think I dreamed it out of him.

For those of you kids back home, you get
in the staging lands, we bring this

little tool up there. It's got some jets
in it.

And as the air changes, we just change
one single jet to make the correction

the air getting better for horsepower.

Lower stuff. See, normally on the
nitrous motors, we used to have to tune,

Six, seven kits, where we're going to
turn the lock up on at, where we're

to shift it.

Still here, we just... You just look on
your phone, and it tells you exactly

what to do with it.

Except for the launch retard and all
that.

That's whenever the experience comes in.
But as far as making the motor happy,

you need this little screwdriver
-looking thing.

You need a little chip.

And you need the phone.

just said something I thought I'd never
hear him say. I go, hey, come over here,

man. Let's turn it up. And he goes,
dude, I don't think you need to.

nitpick it.

I haven't raced Nate Saylor at all yet.
This will be the first time I've raced

him. The car's fast.

He's in every grade eight.

He's always going around. So this is
another notch that I want.

We're going to do whatever it takes to
go out and get this grade eight win.

Maybe we need to just go all the way
then. Because I've been putting around

two here and two here, you know.

Wait, let me see how much more we got

that was the closest race I've had in
this whole series.

It was literally door to door. I looked
out and I could see his door side by

side. I mean, I had to look at the
lights. He earned it. He's kicking ass

We got a fast car. I'm super excited for
tomorrow for our team points.

The only time Ryan has ever said, hey.

I said, man, let's pick away at it a
little bit. He goes, okay, I'll help you

last pass because I messed with it.

I know, I tried to give it away.

it. To never be in a grade 8, come out
the first time I was in grade 8 and win

it and beat all those people that are in
the grade 8, there's no feeling like
