And they were installed in 1974
when the Opry moved here.

Now, some of these pews
had to be replaced because

of the big flood in 2010, but we managed

to keep the spirit intact.

And those pews up there on stage,

well, they are from
the original Ryman Auditorium,

and that is where family and friends sit

to watch their performers sing.

when we'd would watch

your daddy play from up there?

You know, the opera isn't a place.

It's a show.

It's the longest continuously
run radio show in history.

But the closest thing to an actual location

is that circle right there.

How so?

Well, before this place,
the Opry was broadcast

from the Ryman Auditorium.

did move to here, well,

they kept part of that original stage,

and they put it right up here.
