Welcome to this video where I want to give
you some tools in how to set people free or

how to become free.

This is the first video in a little series
I'm going to do of how to do things so that

I'm going to talk about how to set people
free or how to become free.

Then I'm going to talk about later how to
pray, how to speak in tongues, how to be effective

to share the gospel.

I'm going to talk about how to do different
things.

And now I want to talk about freedom, how
to set people free.

Here is written deliverance.

We need to set people free.

And sometimes deliverance is what needs to
be to take place.

We need to deliver people, but it's not always
deliverance that needs to take place when

people come with that issue.

And you need to understand that sometimes
it is deliverance.

Other times, it's actually renewing the mind
that needs to take place.

And it is so important to understand this
because the sad thing today is that there

are people who tried to cast out demons where
there are no demons.

They just need to renew the mind.

And there are people who try to encourage
people in renewing the mind, but this is not

what they need.

They need deliverance.

I often say like that.

The problem is,
if you try to renew the demon and cast out

the mind and this is what we sometimes do,
what people sometimes do, because they don't

recognize when it's demonic and when it is
renewing of the mind that need to take place.

But sometimes deliverance is not enough and
renewing the mind is not enough.

Sometimes we need something more stronger.

The gospel.

We need the gospel.

There is something the gospel can do, that
deliverance cannot do, and renewing the mind

cannot do.

And sometimes we need something even more
than the gospel or deliverance or renewing

of the mind.

We need to be active in throwing our worries
on Jesus and we need to forgive.

Forgiveness is a big part of freedom.

And this is how I see it, when I work with
people, when I set people free and people

come to me.

I do not only focus on deliverance.

If you only focus on one part of it, deliverance.

When people need deliverance, you would be
effective with those people.

But when people come to you and need something
else than deliverance, for example renewing

the mind, You cannot be effective.

And sometimes it is forgiveness that needs
to take place.

It's not enough to say demons come out.

The person need to forgive.

The person need to let go.

The person need to act on throw the worries
on Jesus for them to be free.

But other times, it is the gospel that need
to take place for them to be truly free.

And it can look complicated but it is actually,
very, very simple when you understand this,

I will come with something example.

Let's say a person come to you who have problem
with lust, let's say he has a problem with

lust or looking at porn.

What do that person need?

Some places, they would say, hey, we just
cast that unclean spirit out of him and then

you are free, other places would say no, you
just need to focus on Jesus, then you are

free.

And then sometimes a person would say, you
need the gospel.

What is it?

We had a guy come to us some years ago and
he said, I need deliverance, help me.

I need to be free.

I am a addicted, I have problems with porn.

Set me free.

And the people with us try to pray for him
for deliverance.

And nothing manifested.

Nothing left.

And he became angry and said, what is wrong
with this place?

This is the third deliverance ministry of
places I've come to be delivered.

Why can I not be free?

And then one of the people who work with us
looked at him and say, do you know why you

are not free?

You are not free because you love your sin.

You are a sinner.

You love your sin and you need to repent.

But no one had told me that before.

And he was angry because he just wanted to
be delivered.

He did not see that that he needed a lot a
lot of things.

And then he went from there, went for a walk,
just talk with God.

What is happening with that place?

They say, I love my sin.

And there God spoke to him: Yes, you do.

You are a sinner, because you love your sin
and there, on that walk he repented from his

heart.

And when he came home, he was free.

It was not enough to just pray, pray, pray,
deliverance is also not enough to say, hey,

you just need to just renew your mind, no,
he needed to go to a real repentance for him

to be free.

But again, we have other people who come with
the same issue and say, why do I struggle

with lust?

I had a guy in Denmark, Years ago, he came
to me and said, what is wrong with me?

I struggle with lust, with unclean spirits.

What is wrong with me?

I'm trying to renew my mind again and again,
I'm praying.

I am renewing my mind and I'm praying and
I'm fasting.

And I really don't understand, why am I not
free from those lust and those images in my

head?

I'm praying and fasting and I'm thrown everything
on Jesus, I don't understand it.

Why am I not free?

And then he heard my teaching about baptism.

And he was from a Lutheran background.

He had repented.

He had received the Holy Spirit, but he had
never, ever been baptized in water.

When he heard my teaching and he was like,
this is what I need.

I have tried renewing my mind.

I've been trying to throw it on Jesus.

I've been praying, I've been fasting, I've
been trying to do everything, but I'm not

free.

And then he came and he got baptized.

When he came out of that water, he was free.

There was the gospel he needed, the true gospel,
not just repent and believe, or repent and

receive the Holy Spirit, but repent and be
baptized.

That was what he needed.

And when that came, he was free.

But I also had another guy who came to me
years ago who said: Torben I have problems

with lust.

And it's like, it is hard because when I'm
out on the street and trying to say to myself,

I don't look, don't look, don't look.

And when I talk with him, he had already repented.

There was nothing demonic.

In this case, I'm like, hey, you need to renew
your mind.

You need to get your eyes away or focus on
that and get your eyes on Christ.

And when he got his eyes on Christ and understood
who he was and just got busy in the kingdom,

instead of going around and think: I should
not sin, I should not sin, I should not sin.

When he got his eyes away from it, busy in
the kingdom, It became easy.

So you have to understand, when you work with
people and disciple people, when people have

problems with lust.

It can be one of all of these.

It don't have to just be deliverance every
time.

If you only focus on deliverance, you have
success, when those people need deliverance.

But what with those people who don't.

And when talking about lust, let's say like
this: when I've had people come up to me,

probably with lust, I always start with the
gospel.

And say: let's talk about the gospel.

Sometimes I pray also, but I'll always go
back to the gospel, because if there is an

unclean spirit that get set free, but I'm
not truly born again, that demon would go

out and come back again.

They will not experience freedom if that is
not there.

So when somebody come to you and come to me,
I have a problem with uncleanness and porn

or addiction.

I always start with the gospel.

And what I've seen there is,
that many Christians, people in church, who

love Jesus, but have not understood the full
gospel, have not really understood, what repentance

is, when those people hear, what true repentance
is and change the heart, they experience freedom,

or in some cases when they got baptized, repent
and get baptized, Often we do it right away,

then they experience the freedom, because
what is baptism?

Baptism is really putting off that dead old
man that is bound to sin.

So we need to use Gods tools towards correctly.

Baptism is Roman chapter 6 burying that old
life that is bound to sin.

When a person do sin, he become a slave to
sin and the bodies start to draw, want to

have sin and you become addicted to sin, like
when I start smoking, I control it.

But then it starts to control me.

If you start to get porn, you can control
it in the beginning, but then it starts to

control you.

If you start to lie, you can control it, but
it's down to control you.

You become a slave to sin.

When you repent and get a new heart, You have
now the desire to do what is right, but the

body don't want to obey.

The body is like a drug addict who want its
drugs.

So what do you need to do with that body?

Kill it and bury it, kill it is what you do,
but you had to bury it.

And that is where the gospel come in.

When people understand repentance and get
baptized to Christ, you really bury that old

life and that addiction to sin, lust is dealt
with.

But it's not always enough, because it can
really be demonic also.

It's not only the body that is addicted to
sin, and the body want sin, that lust can

have open up for demonic activities.

So it is actually a clean spirit you have.

So after they repent and get baptized, we
pray for deliverance at the same time.

Come out you unclean spirits.

So they had now confessed their sins, I repented
and I got baptized.

So we pray for deliverance and that demon
need to go, and that is beautiful when that

demon is gone, hallelujah, there is a deliverance
taking place, and then you think that is enough?

No, always after the gospel and deliverance
there is a renewing of the mind that needs

to take place.

Why?

Because you have to now put you, You had to
focus on the spirit and not the flesh.

You had to get your eyes away from this over
to Christ.

You have to change your pattern, your way
of living, and you had to start to renew your

mind.

You had to live different.

You have to get your eyes on Christ.

And that is so important.

So when somebody come with lust right away,
I would say.

Let me hear your story.

OK, you have problems with this and this and
this.

My first question is: Have you ever repented?

Have you repented?

Tell me about your repentance Have you got
baptized after your repentance?

And people say, yes, I have repented.

Yes, I've baptized years ago, but still a
problem.

Then we go in and pray for deliverance.

If they have repented and this and we pray
for deliverance and nothing is manifesting

and say, OK, let's help you to focus on Christ,
and then that way experience a freedom.

But I don't start there, because to say to
somebody who still carrying around that old

dead body, to say to somebody, who have a
demon, just focus on Christ or renew your

mind, It's not enough.

So that's why it's so important to know where
people are.

That is with Lust.

If you then takes people come, let's say somebody
come who have fear of death.

Fear of dying.

When people come and say, I really have a
fear in my life, fear of dying.

I would do the same again.

I would say tell me about the gospel.

Why?

Because it could be a demonic thing and it
could be renewing of the mind, it could also

be a trauma, they have in their life.

And we're going to talk more about this.

But Jesus came to save us, all of us who have
been bound for fear of death through life.

I had a lot of fear of dying.

Fear of death had been a big, big part of
my life, it had been an issue in my life.

I had nightmares for years.

And I thought, OK, I'm going to die.

I'm going to hell.

And fear, fear, fear was just so much a big
part of my life for years until I really understood

the gospel and got born again.

Born again, when the spirit came in, when
Christ came, when my life was changed the

fear of death disappeared.

It left me and there I want to say: it can
be dangerous to say renew the mind too fast,

for example: Somebody come and say:
I fear of death and then people ask: But do

you believe in Jesus?

And they say yes.

Oh, then you don't have to be fear of death.

He are some scriptures, just quote those scriptures.

Just focus on Christ, focus on Christ, and
then it disappear.

I would never start there.

Why?

Because there is maybe a reason to have a
fear of death, because they should fear death.

Why?

Because they're still in their sins, they're
not truly born again.

Yes, but ask them, if they believe in Christ.

Yes.

But it's not enough to ask, if you believe
in Christ.

Satan believes in Christ and demons believe
in Christ, it doesn't save them.

Many people are in church and think they're
born again.

But they are truly not.

They are not, ever never really repented and
never buried that old life and never received

the Holy Spirit, they are not a new creation
yet.

They think, they are born again, but they
are not.

And they go to the pastor and say, I have
fear of death and fear of death.

What shall I do?

What shall I do?

And the only thing is, that he said: renew
your mind, renew your mind.

It's the same like If some people had trouble
with condemnation, come to someone: oh, feel

condemned, what shall I do?

People ask, do you believe in Christ?

Yes.

Or then you should not be condemned.

Roman 8,1 is saying there's no condemnation
for those who are in Jesus Christ and that

people take that verse: Oh I should not be
condemned, I should not be condemned, renew

your mind, renew your mind.

I should not be condemned.

I should not be condemned, but is said for
those who, if you continue reading, walk by

the spirit and not by the flesh.

Why do many people feel condemned?

Because they are still walking by the flesh
and not by the spirit.

So instead of trying to renew my mind , renew
my mind, we should say; stop renewing your

mind, come in and repent.

Come in and get truly born again.

Come in and walk by the spirit.

Because when you walk by the spirit, this
condemnation is gone.

And you don't need to work on renewing your
mind.

Can you see it?

So really to understand where people are and
I think this video, maybe it's a video to

go back and see again and again and again
and really understand what I'm saying, because

if this is new for you, can be a little complicated
in beginning.

But when you really understand, you understand
it.

But also fear of death can also be something
else, because when I experienced a freedom

from fear of death, it changed my life and
I was free from twenty years.

But then some years ago I experienced attacks,
a spiritual attack that came over me and the

fear of death came so powerful, strong over
me, that I was so afraid of dying like I never

been afraid before.

In this case, I was still in Christ, I was
still walking on the spirit, by the spirit.

I did not understand what was happening, but
it was not a continue state of my life.

It was an attack, an attack from the enemy
and I did not need deliverance because it

was not from inside of me, something need
to go, I needed to throw my worries on Jesus.

I needed to come to Christ and pray into this
and give it all to you, I know I am in you,

I give this fear over to you and go in in
an active war against it and pray against

it and then the fear of death disappeared.

Listen to people, when you minister to people
and hear their stories and then see, OK, this

fear of death is that attack that come right
now, it is an attack because of something

that happened, do they need deliverance or
is it a continue thing because you are not

in Christ yet.

Let's move on: anxiety.

There are many people who have fear, anxiety
today.

If you look at anxiety, it can be a little
of everything also, it depends in many places

what I've seen, and there are many Christians
who are truly born again who experience anxiety.

And when I hear their stories, it often come
through a experience a moment in their life,

it can be by an accident or something that
they experienced, where they suddenly open

up for that fear and anxiety came in in that
moment.

There, that moment Let's say somebody have
fear of driving in the car, I met those people

and say, when did it happen?

I was out of an accident years ago and this
is still sitting in me.

And they are born again.

It can't be a deliverance, renewing of the
mind.

It can also be throwing your worries on Jesus,
it can be all of this.

When you say throw your worries on Jesus,
it is to really let go of it, to give it over,

to understand that he's faithful.

Very often we hold on to it.

So I would lead them in a prayer and say,
OK, it started there.

We know it came in there.

Are you ready to give it over to Jesus?

Are you ready to give over your fear, are
you ready to give over your anxiety?

Are you ready to let go of it.

Let's throw it on Jesus.

Let's leave it.

Let's pray together.

And we pray.

And I lead them in a prayer.

God, I take this accident.

I take this trauma, take this experience and
I throw it over to you Jesus, I gave it over

to you and asked you: come and set me free!

Come and deliver me from this!

And then I pray into that.

And in many cases, a deliverance is taking
place.

Why?

Because that Trauma, that experience open
up for a door for satan to come in and we

pray deliverance and something is leaving
them.

They get set free.

Is the work done yet?

No.

Now we need to renew the mind.

Why?

Because when people get delivered, their root
cause is broken.

But the mind is not renewed yet.

So if somebody has problems with fear, I pray
for somebody some years ago, she hasn`t been

driving a car like 18 years because of something
like that.

We broke it and it left.

But now we took her out in a car and say,
now you need to drive.

And still she was afraid, she felt something,
but it's not the same fear as before, before

it was from inside.

Now it was fear because she was so used to
not be able to drive, and then we say, hey,

remember scripture!

You can do everything Jesus Christ is training
you.

He's with you.

You have no fear.

You are free.

Christ is with you.

He protects you.

He would do this.

And then she took scripture, she took and
took a step in faith, sat in that car, and

find out that satan was a liar.

God is the truth.

And she starts to drive and she worked on
the mind and a week later, she was driving

and there was no problem anymore.

So there was a deliverance.

Let's say somebody who have fears for years.

They are used to thinking, I cannot do this,
I cannot do this, I cannot do this.

I cannot do this.

And then when a deliverance is taking place,
now they have to tell themselves I can do

it.

But some things they stop with, thinking I
cannot do it, because they are thinking the

old way and the need to start to think the
new way.

Hey, yeah, I can do it.

It was before I could not, but now I can and
they start to be new their mind and step slowly

into that freedom.

So with anxiety it is often deliverance, but
it is very often there is a door opener in

a thing that have to things they need to throw
on Jesus and forgive.

If you look at trauma, I actually write sexual
sin also, an experience people had a trauma,

let's say a sexual sin.

What happened was, that a sexual sin can open
up for the demonic and they need deliverance.

But in many ways, they need to forgive.

Forgiveness is so important there.

And before they forgive, you can try to cast
that out an unclean spirit out.

And there is an unclean spirit, that unclean
spirit can go.

But it will come back again.

Why?

Because they never forgave.

They never let go of it and never really throw
it on Jesus.

They never forgave that person.

And that is a door opener for this to just
continue, continue, continue, continue.

FORGIVENESS IS NOT A FEELING.

FORGIVENESS IS A CHOICE!

Jesus, hang on the cross and said: Father,
forgive them, they do not know what they did.

We need to forgive people and help them to
forgive.

Sometimes you need to explain and say forgiveness
is a choice.

You need to choose it.

Those people who misbuse you, they're not
maybe in your life anymore and they don't

care some of them, what you do if you forgive
or not forgive, but if you choose not to forgive,

that is actually keeping me every day.

You will never be free because you always
walk around with this in your heart.

You always walk around with this trauma, this
unclean spirit, and you need to let go.

You need to let go.

And there it is not enough to say just focus
on Christ and renew your mind.

It's also not enough to just pray for deliverance
because if you never deal with the unforgiveness

and really let go of it, there can be a deliverance
and half a year later they come back again

and come back again and come back and they'd
never experience freedom.

So you have to understand that it is different
from person to person, exactly where they

are.

And I've used this for years now, and it had
really been beautiful, I've been teaching

about it sometimes a teaching taught about
a few days ago here, and it became a revelation

for many people when they understand it, that
the gospel can do something, this cannot do.

24.11
The gospel can change your heart when it comes

to sin, deliverance cannot do, renewing the
mind cannot do, throw it on Jesus and forgiveness

cannot do.

It is only the gospel who can change the heart
from being a heart of flesh to being a soft

heart, where the law is written on your heart
and where you get a new conscience.

The gospel is the only thing, that can put
off that old man, that is bound to sin.

YOU NEED THE GOSPEL!

People need the gospel.

Deliverance can do something, renewing the
mind cannot do, deliverance can set you free

from those demons that have come in through
different things.

The gospel alone don't do that.

If you shared a gospel slone with repentance,
baptism in water and Holy Spirit, and don't

take time to deliver people at the same time,
they can get born again and receive the Holy

Spirit, but walk around with the demon still.

So that's why when I share the gospel to people
and baptize people, I always talk about what

do you need freedom for?

I actually say what do you need to bury?

What do you need deliverance from, do you
think?

What are you bound to?

And any one you need to forgive.

Is there anyone you need to forgive?

Is there anything you need to throw on Jesus?

When I share the gospel with people, I focus
on all of those at the same time.

Why?

Because I want people to be truly free.

And when they repented, when they're baptized
in water, when they're baptized with the Holy

Spirit and while they get baptized in water,
we pray for deliverance.

And then we lead them in prayer and forgive
at the same time, throw it on Jesus.

And we actually lead them in forgiveness when
we do the repentance, we talk with them when

we share the gospel.

When that is done, it doesn't mean the job
is over.

Now, the need to go from there and renew the
mind, they need to live in the spirit and

not live in the flesh anymore.

They need to pray tongues a lot, they need
to read the Bible, they need to fast and they

need to pray, and they need to get the eyes
away from themselves and from this world and

focus on God.

So I always start there and take this and
this at the same time, and then send them

away and say, now you need to be in a word
and continue renewing the mind.

If people come to me and I talk with them
and they need deliverance and this is OK,

because this can do one thing, but deliverance
can do something else.

When deliverance needs to take place, You
don't talk about just renewing the mind.

You need to really pray for deliverance.

And sometimes you don't need to know everything.

It is just: Unclean spirit, come up.

Not more need to take place.

You don't need to talk to them.

And so on, it is just that a deliverance need
to take place.

But if they're holding on to unforgiveness
at the same time, if they're holding onto

it, don't just pray and say hallelujah and
then go away.

Then we talk about repentance.

Do that at the same time, because otherwise
this will come back, the demons would come

back.

So work with them, get them to understand
that they need to forgive, they need to let

go of those people who hurt them, that caused
this issue.

They need to throw those trauma and those
things that open up for demonic, they need

to let go of it and throw it on Jesus.

And then when this is done, this is done and
this is done, you send them away with renewing

the mind.

If people come to me and are born again and
have issues and I pray for deliverance and

nothing is manifesting, and then I talk about
this and sometimes lead them in a prayer if

there is anything they need to throw on Jesus
and people that need to forgive and this and

this is OK.

What do you then do then?

Then focus on this, help them to become busy
in the kingdom, help them to work in the kingdom,

help them to work for Christ and be busy and
get their eyes on Jesus, start to read the

Bible daily, start to pray, start to live
in the spirit instead of the flesh, instead

of seeing movies all the time, listen to Bible
teaching, listen to the word of God and get

your eyes away from yourself over to God.

And then this is what is needed.

This is OK.

This is not needed.

This has been dealt with.

This is what you need to do.

So I hope this teaching will really help you
to set people free.

And this is actually very, very simple when
you understand it.

And for me, when I started with this, it was
like God start to reveal it, because I started

to minister to a lot of people and found out
that how they experienced freedom was a little

different from person to person, depending
on where they came from.

And again, now, as I went over it, now when
people come, I will always talk to them and

say, OK, have you repented?

Have you got baptized, have received the Holy
Spirit?

Also, it just need deliverance.

Why?

Because we want people to be born again.

We don't want to be too far to just pray for
them and then go away and never see them again.

Use the opportunity of God to share the gospel
with them, because we want people to be truly

born again.

So I love this.

I always start there often and then ask a
question about this.

Then here they say issues with this and this
and this.

When did it start?

What happened?

And then in that conversation, you can say,
oh, you have never let go of it.

You need to throw this on Jesus, hey, throw
your worries on Jesus.

He is in control in your life.

It doesn`t need to be stressful.

It doesn`t need to be faithful.

It doesn`t need to, you have to throw it on
Jesus.

Or if people have got hurt by people and it
started with a hurt: have you forgiven those

people?

I had a woman who came to me years ago.

She was seventy six, seventy six years old,
when she was ten years old, she got teased

in school.

And those kids who teased her, it open up
for a hurt and unforgiveness in her life.

And she's since ten years old, was very inward
and didn't like to be in crowds amongst other

people.

She had understood the gospel, because she
had been prayed for and she tried to renew

the mind and tried to get set free.

There was no demonic thing like big thing.

But she has never forgiven them since he walked
around with that hurt and she was bitter toward

them still.

And I said, this is 66 years ago, those people
are not in your life anymore.

If you don't forgive, it is like a wound you
have, where something is put on top of the

wound and the wound will never heal.

It cannot heal because it don't get the air
it needs to heal.

And then I talk about forgiveness and talk
about throwing your worries on Jesus and your

fear and let go of it.

Just let go of it.

And I let her in a prayer where she forgave
those people who hurt her Sixty six years

ago when she said, Jesus, I give it all over
to you and it was just like and she was free.

She was free after 66 years.

Not a big manifestation.

Why?

It's not a big deliverance.

It's more just letting go of it.

Throw your worries on Jesus and he cares for
you.

So there's a little teaching that became a
little longer than what I expect a half hour.

But see it again and get to understand it,
having your mind start there, then see if

deliverance needs to take place, throw on
Jesus and forgive and then renewing the mind,

send them away with it.

And when I talk about the gospel is not just
pray Jesus into your heart and you should

be saved is the true gospel.

Repent, turn away from your sins, take your
sins, after that bury that old life, not before

after that bury that old life and receive
Holy Spirit.

If you need to pray and throw it on Jesus
and forgive from your heart, then do that.

If you understood now that you just need to
renew the mind and focus on Jesus, then do

that.

So this is not only how to set people freed,
it's also for you out there to become free.

Let us help you to be free.
