to provide a key for the paint.

Then, upstairs, Vas givesthem two coats of gloss.

And the badges are complete.

a wrap can do.

where he asks fans to
suggest unusual things

to cover in vinyl.

Showing off their skills, histeam had previously wrapped

Nico has suggested that
we don't cut and just

leave it as a one piece.

going to cover it,

it has to be in one piece.

trim can't be stripped,

it makes life much
harder for the wrappers.

And Bert spotted another,much bigger issue.

It's too disjointed.

That doesn't make sense.

Bugatti.

BERT: Right, OK, so--

CREW MEMBER: He said, I wantthis one to look like Bugatti

and gone.

And he went.

So no one knows
what's going on,

we've just been told tomake it look like a Bugatti.

How are we going to make
it look like a Bugatti?

That doesn't work.

NARRATOR: Alarmed by theconfusion on the shop floor,

Bert takes a closer lookat the Bugatti design DNA.

The R8 has to basicallymimic a Bugatti in some way.

The Bugatti is a pain in thebum when it comes to design.

It's never going to happen.

The Bugatti's got
sweeping lines.

It's got a
continuation of design.

It's normally two colors.

The new Chiron has
a sweeping curve

from the top of the vehicleto the bottom of the vehicle.

So you've got lines youcan follow on the vehicle

to keep the colors consistent.

The R8 doesn't do that.

The R8 is quite
German in its design.

It's very straight to the point.

The lines are quite
clean and clinical.

Once you get to a certainpoint, the line disappears.

There's no
continuation on the R8

like you do have on a Bugatti.

We're down a funny coloredstream without a paddle.

I think we need to get Yanoff of the idea of making

it look like a Bugatti.

So-- Yan, just looking atBugatti pictures for the R8,

I would ask the boys to do,like, a black roof, maybe

some black styling
tips on the car,

but get back off of the idea ofmaking it look Bugatti-esque.

The brothers wrap
over the roof trim,

right to the edges
of the panel, to try

and get that Bugatti look.

But to really nail
the design, the black

needs to stretch over
the bonnet, too--

from the front to
the back of the car.

This is bold monochrome.

So what do you think
about the rear quarter?

No, I'm not doing the--if we do the rear quarter,

the whole care is black.

Then it's the roof,
the rear quarter,

and side skirt--
we've actually just

wrapped his car in gloss black.

You can't add any more
gloss black to the car.

I think it needs tofollow down the door now.

And the R8 is done--

ready for Yianni's inspection.

I just need to check acouple of things on the car

before Bac arrives.

And then we'll see
what he thinks.

But, even though he's happywith the quality of the wrap,

the reality of showing thisradical redesign to Bac

is starting to hit home.
