NARRATOR: And the client decides

flashing from everywhere.

NARRATOR: Inside the garage,
the wrap pushes Nico and Mark

to breaking point.

But when the client
gets cold feet

about the boss's color choice--

I'm not sure.

NARRATOR: --will

wrap and even louder lights get
the reaction Yianni hopes for?

The pink worries me.

NARRATOR: Early
morning at the garage.

Outside, a brand new
supercar is arriving.

Mark is here with his
business partner, Steve.

They run an international
logistics company.

But their passion is
going on road rallies.

- Yianni, how are you?

MARK WALTERS: Yes.

YIANNI: Lovely car.

YIANNI: Brand new?

MARK WALTERS: Brand new,
delivered two days ago.

NARRATOR: So it is
fresh out of the box.

Absolutely brand new, yeah.

Are you doing a rally?

We're doing a rally.

It's a big rally.

This year, it's
going from London.

So we're starting
in Covent Garden.

It's going across Europe, and
then it's going over to Japan.

Is that where it finishes?

MARK WALTERS: It does, yeah.

Covering 3,000
miles in seven days.

I've done a few rallies.

I've never ended up in Japan.

It's going to be interesting.

no obvious color for me.

But I'm just thinking

or four other McLaren 720s.

So we have got to
make a statement.

flashing from everywhere.

little bit nervous.

NARRATOR: Inspired by
their racing heritage,

The London to Tokyo rally
starts in just four days.

Now it's over to the
team to get it lit

up, ready for the start line.

MIKE: It is, yeah.

is two days old?

And it's here already?

YIANNI: It's here already.

And then once it's
finished here, it's going

on a rally to do 3,000 miles.

YIANNI: So are you
ready for the color?

YIANNI: It's chrome
straight away.

Not only is it
going chrome pink,

it's having LEDs all underneath.

So you know when the
lights go, like, mad crazy?

Yeah, like a strobe.
YIANNI: Like a strobe.

Exactly that.

It's going to fit
in Tokyo very well.

Mike, you're going
to be first up on this.

You've got to strip
this car down.

I know we've had one before,
but it was detailing.

This is it.

So we only took
certain panels off.

So this is going to be
something new for me.

I'm going to have to
look into each panel,

see how they come apart,
and see what I can take off.

This is, yeah, new
territory, definitely.

Please be very, very careful.

There's no room
for error on this.

Oh, tell me about it.

Mark, I know it's chrome.

I know we are the
kings of chrome.

And this is probably
one of the hardest

cars we're going to wrap.

Well, look at this.

[laughter]

YIANNI: Where's your hand gone?

Where's your arm gone?

Someone just ate it.

Well--

That's how deep it is.

It's just hard, yeah.

Look at the door.

Listen, there is a
lot of pressure on this.

I'm not going to sit here
and say, don't worry.

The pressure is immense
on this car, OK?

So, Mike, get stripping.

Yeah.

Boys, you're
wrapping this bad boy.

NARRATOR: The bodywork
on this 2018 model

has had a subtle facelift.

So it poses a fresh
wrap challenge.

MARK: We're in shape
now than before.

It has new curves.

Difficult vinyl
we're going to use.

But it looks like we're
going to have fun.

NARRATOR: The special pink
chrome vinyl Yianni has chosen

is one of the most
expensive on the market.

The team are under pressure.

So they crack on straight away.

We get to tell Yianni
after we've done this car,

we need a massage.

Oy!

NARRATOR: This muscular
car has distinct contours

and deep recesses, which will
be a challenge for the brothers

to work around.

[techno music]

As the wrap continues, Mike
is starting the stripdown.

He begins with the
double-hinged wing doors.

MIKE: All these door
cards are so different.

I'm having to, you know, look
around the door card, see what

panels are actually moving.

Got a little bit of play.

For instance, I mean, I
knew that this speaker grill

is going to have
to come out for me

to get to that particular screw.

Oh!

That's the other one.

Lovely.

NARRATOR: But getting the door
card off is just the beginning.

I've just found the
loom for the wing mirror.

And then just behind it
is the three bolts that

are actually holding in place.

NARRATOR: The
strip is completed.

It's been a good first day.

[dance music]

NARRATOR: It's 8:00 AM.

Yianni needs to get the
LED lights underway.

So he's having a meeting
with the specialist, Pav.

- Yo, Pav.
- How you doing, Yianni?

You all right?
- What's up, mate?

What is it?

Lights.

Uh-huh.

YIANNI: 720S.

No problem.
All right.

You know, like, those
mad, like, strobing lights

and things like that.
- OK.

Anything I need to know?

Yeah.

The car is only going to be like
this for probably two or three

weeks until after the rally.

And then we take them out?

YIANNI: And then
we take them out.

So I do not want you
going into the wiring

because I don't want any
issues with this car.

Please test it, test it, test
it, and then test it again.

- Sort it for me, yeah?

NARRATOR: Pav is an
expert in car electrics.

But LED under lighting is
a rarity at the garage,

as they're not legal to
use on roads in the UK.

So we've got these LEDs.

I just want to
see how they work,

really, and just go through,
make sure everything's good

with them.

No, these ain't right.

They're not waterproof.

Right.

I'm going to go down and see
Bert because these are wrong.

The lights.

Yeah?

PAV: Not waterproof.

That's an oversight.

Wow, we're under pressure now.

Yeah, big time.

I still need to
strip, fit, test.

Well, first things first,
let's get some waterproofs.

BERT: ASAP.

But I'll give this to you.

NARRATOR: Reordering the
higher spec LED lights is

a delay they could do without.

Pav will now have to fit
them close to deadline.

[techno music]

Downstairs, the wrap
brothers are getting

to grips with the front end.

Meanwhile, Yianni is taking a
photo so he can test the color

on a skeptical client.

The brothers are
making progress.

But stretching the
three-meter-long vinyl

around the curved front end
requires skill and strength.

[record scratch]

MARK: That's how really
hard the vinyl is.

It's just snap.

I know it was funny, but.

Yeah, it was funny, really.

NARRATOR: In the
office, Yianni has

sent the photo to
the client, Mark,

and follows up with a call.

MARK WALTERS [ON PHONE]: Hello?

Mark, how you doing, pal?

Yianni.

MARK WALTERS [ON
PHONE]: Yianni, hello.

How's it going?
- I'm very well.

Yourself?

MARK WALTERS [ON PHONE]:
Yeah, yeah, good.

MARK WALTERS [ON
PHONE]: Yeah, yeah.

So, yeah, mate, I don't know.

I'm not sure.

It's a bit bright.

Yeah, you know, I've got to
say, I'm a little bit worried.

In pictures, it does look
different to real life.

And it is under the lights
in the unit as well.

So it does look
slightly different.

MARK WALTERS [ON PHONE]: OK.

Well, that didn't go
how I wanted it to go.

[rock music]

NARRATOR: Despite the
client's reservations,

the team are cracking on hard.

Nico and Mark are now
facing one of their biggest

ever wrap challenges--
the double-hinged doors.

They have to wrap it
in three sections,

requiring almost 9
meters of vinyl in total.

Looks like me and Nico's
having the trouble already.

NARRATOR: The thick
chrome vinyl needs

to be fed into the deep
recess and laid by hand.

So at first, I'm to wrap the
door like this that is so deep.

That's it.

Do you have enough?

NICO: Yeah.

Nice.

NARRATOR: The door takes the
brothers nearly four hours.

But the wrap needs
to accelerate.

Because the deadline
is approaching.

OK.

MARK: It looks all right for me.

[hip hop music] We got next

We're ready to flex

We're ready to rock

Get it to the top

We got next

Can't settle for less

I'ma get your best

NARRATOR: It's a new day, and
there's been a delivery for Pav.

He can finally start fitting
the new waterproof LED lights.

I'm going to
run a little strip

all the way around the bumper.

Then there'll be another
strip down all the way across.

Goes on the other side and
on the rear bumpers also.

Yeah, here goes.

NARRATOR: The client
will need to remove

the lights after the rally,
as they are illegal in the UK.

So Pav is not allowed to drill
or add fixings to the car.

And he has to find
a way to power

the lights without cutting into
the supercar's wiring loom.

PAV: I'm a great fan of them.

And it's going to look
mad as well, which

is what they're trying to gain.

NARRATOR: He uses plastic
clips and cable ties to secure

the lights to the car.

The road rally lasts a
week, and these fixings

should be plenty strong enough.

[techno music]

This brand new supercar has
blistering pace with a top speed

of 212 miles per hour.

It's powered by a
twin turbocharged V8

and has a double wishbone
suspension for better handling.

[hip hop music] Light
'em up, light em up

It's almost the end of the day.

The LEDs are fitted.

Pav now has to get them wired
into the car's power system.

PAV: I'm extending
the cables on the LED.

Because, obviously, where
they run underneath the car,

I need to get the wire
into the engine bay,

get it plumbed in under the
car, and wire it all up.

NARRATOR: He can't patch
it directly into the car.

So he's designed a clever
workaround, which he hopes will

allow him to power the lights.

We just finished off running
the LEDs, which is into the car

now.

I'm just going to power
them up, make sure they're

all working nice and fresh.

NARRATOR: It's taken the
whole day, but is the car

ready to light up
the streets of Tokyo?

It's going to look sick.

Wow!

PAV: White looks wicked.

Sick, innit?

NARRATOR: Whilst the gang
thinks it looks amazing,

these lights will only be used
where legal during the rally.

And there's more good news
at the rear of the car,

as Nico and Mark are nearly
over the finish line.

MARK: We made it!

We made it!

NARRATOR: Deadline day.

The $200 grand supercar has
been moved to the front garage

so that Mike can
begin the refit.

MIKE: So I'm just putting on the
engine cover for the McLaren.

It's not like a normal car
where you can open the bonnet

and check your water
and stuff like that.

This has actually got a
cover that's screwed on.

Right.

Kieran?

Can I borrow you again, mate?

And I think we're
ready to put this.

That's it.

NARRATOR: The final touch to
finish the bright pink wrap

falls to Amelia.

It's for a rally.

So we're putting the
number 47 on the side

of the car on both doors.

NARRATOR: The client,

worried about the color choice.

But for Yianni, right now, it's
all about checking quality.

Because this car
is going to be seen

around the world on social
media, and it needs to shine.

I know Mark's got
his reservations.

But when he sees this in person,
it's a totally different animal.

NARRATOR: Joint owner Mark
has arrived on his own

to collect the car.

Yiannis got a plan ready to win
over this undecided customer.
