NARRATOR: Supercar customizer Yianni
lives life at full throttle.
How accurate is that speed, though?
NARRATOR: He takes incredible cars--
It's gorgeous.
NARRATOR: --and works with his talented crew--
You're a G. You're a G.
NARRATOR: --to give them a unique look.
But the stakes are high--
How can we get this so wrong, man?
NARRATOR: --when you work for demanding clients--
I will be calling you 20 times a day.
NARRATOR: --who expect perfection--
Yes, yes.
yes.
NARRATOR: --every time.
That is so sick.
That's why you're the king, bro.
[music playing]
NARRATOR: This time, the team are challenged with a two tone
wrap on a giant luxury car.
Look at this.
Really, really nice. Special.
NARRATOR: And the client thinks there's only
one color that fits the bill.
Rose gold on the bonnet, roof, and the boot.
NARRATOR: Inside the garage.
It's brother versus brother as Yianni
sets his kids a challenge.
What I'm going to get you guys to do
is wrap each other's bikes.
OK.
NARRATOR: But laying meter after meter of this rap
is a massive job which has everyone sweating.
It's no good, is it?
No.
NARRATOR: Will the final design leave the boss and the client
happy?
You're beautiful, baby.
[music playing] Some of the mads are on my side
Want to shoot blind
NARRATOR: Early morning, outside,
a new client is arriving in a 250,000
grand top end luxury car.
It belongs to entrepreneur Omar.
He owns a VIP chauffeur company.
And this extended wheelbase vehicle is the latest
addition to his fleet.
Omar, pleased to meet you, man.
- Pleasure. - How are you?
I'm very well. How are you doing?
I'm really well.
I'm just looking at this.
Wow.
How big is this car?
It's around six meters.
This is the EWB extended wheelbase.
It's one of the highest spec Rolls-Royce phantoms
you'll find in the country.
Look at this.
Got a lovely white interior.
Really, really nice.
Special.
I think this vehicle has everything on the spec sheet,
actually.
It's got the rear curtains, TV screens, stars on the roof.
Chrome rose gold.
Spirit of ecstasy.
Yeah, it was baked in fine gold
and then dipped in rose gold.
I don't think I've ever seen that before.
That is one of one.
You're not messing around, are you?
Is this like a chauffeur car or?
This car is used for chauffeuring in London.
But we've come to you for something,
that a little bit special.
The minute you tell me it's a chauffeur car, let me guess.
It's going white, isn't it?
- It is going to go white. - OK.
But it'll be white with a twist.
It's going to be pearl white along the sides.
Yeah.
With rose gold on the bonnet, roof, and the boot.
Chrome rose gold is my signature color.
I'm about that color.
And the spirit of ecstasy is going to look amazing.
It's not going to be easy to do.
I can believe that.
God knows how many meters of vinyl I need to order for this.
Can I have, like, a year to do this, please?
Because it is a big car.
I'll leave it in your capable hands.
You take your time.
When you feel it's ready, you let me know.
I really appreciate that.
It's such a big car.
Chrome rose gold is not the easiest to work with,
and my guys really need to take their time,
so that's great news.
They'll be really happy about that.
Well, listen, it's been an absolute pleasure.
Lovely meeting you. - Thank you very much, Yianni.
It was a pleasure.
And I'll see you very, very soon.
I can't wait to do this.
[music playing]
NARRATOR: The massive rear hinged
doors are designed to give passengers
easy access to the hugely spacious interior.
This extended wheelbase model is 25 centimeters longer
than the standard saloon.
But luxury comes at a price.
The bespoke gunmetal gray paint job alone costs 12,000 grand.
[music playing]
This beast of a car is a massive job.
Yianni gathers the crew.
Where do I start?
This is huge.
Massive.
Long, high, big.
It just looks like a giant.
It's taking all the space in the unit.
It's huge, isn't it?
I'm not feeling this color.
No, color is not good.
So the bottom half is going to go pearl white.
Bonnet, roof, and the boot lid is going chrome rose gold.
That'll look good.
Nice.
That's interesting.
It's going to look special.
Definitely.
So, Terry, what we're going to have to do here
is obviously it's in the bay now and it's taken up two bays.
So bear in mind, any other cars coming now,
we're going to have to store them in the back or next door,
wherever we can do it.
Yeah, no worries.
What I'm going to do is get you three guys to obviously
wrap the pearl white.
I'll get Nicco, Mark back over when they
finish the other car to wrap the top half in the chrome
rose gold. - OK, cool.
One great thing.
Usually, I put you guys under pressure.
It's got to be done. It's got to be done.
It's got to be done.
He said to me, Yianni, don't rush the car.
Take your time.
I want it done perfect.
OK?
We like this customer.
Chrome?
The chromes all staying the same, which is quite cool.
I was quite pleased about that.
And it's outside only, right?
And it's outside only.
Happy days.
OK, so you guys, once it's stripped, let's start wrapping.
- Yep. - Brilliant.
Thank you, guys.
Thank you.
[music playing]
NARRATOR: It's a big job, but thankfully it's not doors off.
Enter Pav.
Wherever I can strip for the boys,
I'm going to strip because I know this is going
to be a nightmare for them.
So we're going to crack on with the mirrors
and just probably work our way back.
So here we go.
She's off.
Thank God.
NARRATOR: He's worked on lots of Rollers
in the past, so knows exactly where to push
and pull to break it down.
Mike, what are you saying about this aerial, mate?
Mate, it looks bonded.
I think, first off, let's get some string on it,
see if that even does anything, and then we'll attack the blade.
I think the blade will make it be cleaner.
You're going to go for a blade straight away?
I think so.
All right, let's mask her up, then.
Yeah. Yeah.
OK.
NARRATOR: Using a blade to break the bond is a big risk.
Damage to the paintwork could result in thousands
out of Yianni's pocket.
Be careful, please.
It's loosening off.
This side, you want to try a bit more here?
That's the bit I'm going to go for next.
Go for it.
It's stiff.
That blade's extended way too much.
Try from your end.
Go for the main bit there.
There, check, we move.
Oh, yes.
Let's go, mate, little bit more.
She's coming.
That's it.
Nice.
NARRATOR: The paint is untouched.
The part is off, so the wrap can begin first thing tomorrow.
It's half term and Yianni is looking after his kids.
They've been spending time with him at the unit.
At the end of the working day, he's
setting them a vinyl challenge.
Right.
Here we are, boys. OK?
Yeah.
What I'm going to get you guys to do
is wrap each other's bikes.
OK.
You can do whatever you want, whatever color you want.
And the other person, if he likes it, great.
If I don't like it, I'm stripping it, though.
If you want to strip--
No, my color is going to be very good.
It's going to be cool, ain't it?
OK, so I've paired up with Mark--
Yeah.
--who's the younger brother.
And I've paired you up with Nicco, who's the older brother.
We're going to win. We're going to win.
It's going to be fun.
It's going to be fun.
OK, you ready, guys?
Yeah.
Break.
[music playing] If you like her face
You will try
So what's the plan?
What's the plan?
NARRATOR: 12-year-old Andreas is going for stealth,
while eight-year-old Nicholas goes for the chrome
green bling like his dad's car.
This is big.
What do you want to lay first?
Maybe this bit.
What do you think?
This looks good.
It looks cool.
NARRATOR: They've got the rest of the week to complete the job.
Then the bikes will be revealed to Yianni and each other.
[music playing]
It's a new day.
Mike and Mark have already wrapped two of the doors
in pearlescent white.
Time to measure up the huge front end.
If you can go 10 extra over the edge,
I will appreciate your efforts.
And then I'm going to go a bit more.
So yeah, we're talking about two meters 30.
Sometimes, there's the whole side of the car,
but on this car, it's just a wing.
NARRATOR: They split the length of the vinyl in two.
Mike will use half on the front end
while Mark takes the rest to the back.
This is not the easiest wing to lay just because it bends
here, so you really need to add that extra care
not to stretch it so the vinyl is
going to look even all the way.
NARRATOR: Meanwhile, at the rear of the car,
mark is working on the light surrounds.
Very fiddly, so I need to try and get it
back and then cut back this way and try and cut, tuck it behind.
Well, what do you want now?
Nothing.
I've just come around to see her.
I think we've got a hell of a lot
done in a short period of time.
Yeah, man, like, we use, like, hundred meter of vinyl, so far.
Definitely.
I can barely see the end of the car, but it looks good.
Short space of time.
It's nice.
Yeah, very nice, man.
[music playing]
NARRATOR: For a two tone job like this,
the team must choose a line to work from where
the two colors will meet.
On this car, there's a natural body
or swage line, which runs down the side from front to back.
They put the line too low.
NARRATOR: But Nicco has noticed a potential problem
and needs input from his workshop manager.
- Terry, there you are. - Yes, mate.
You all right?
And this, I think, we have some little problem here.
They put the lines too--
it's too low.
It's too low?
Yeah, so what's going to happen,
we get to overlap it a little bit, like a little bit bigger.
He's done it so you're going to butt it up,
but you need to overlap it.
Yeah.
So we can play around.
This is supposed to go higher a little bit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Have we got enough vinyl to rewrap these cords?
No.
We haven't got enough?
Is it the same the other side?
Yeah, exactly the same.
NARRATOR: Nicco wants to overlap the white with the rose gold,
but if he does, the line will not look right.
He could butt the lines up, but it's extremely difficult to do.
With Yianni out of the unit, Bert is called down.
That's no good, is it?
No.
We've got to order some more vinyl.
OK.
NARRATOR: Bert's quick decision is to strip both rear wings
and order new pearl white vinyl.
I may need to strip and rewrap a panel.
NARRATOR: But it's not a simple fix.
Vinyl colors vary slightly across batches,
and they cannot afford mismatched panels
on this high profile job.
Obviously, with the pearl white,
if the batch numbers ain't right,
it's going to be a different color.
NARRATOR: Bert is waiting to hear
back from the vinyl supplier.
[music playing]
Downstairs, with the line along the center of the car and hold,
Nicco and Mark must press on with the chrome wrap
on the other panels.
Yianni's signature rose gold vinyl isn't cheap,
costing 200 pounds per meter.
And this job requires a lot of it.
All right, mate.
Why do you look so stressed?
I'm stressing, man, about this car.
Well, listen, don't worry about it no more.
I've sorted it.
So I spoke to our suppliers.
Yeah?
We've got four meters of the same batch number.
Yeah? - Perfect.
Weight off your shoulders, yeah?
- Brilliant. - Don't worry about it.
Cheers, Bert.
Thanks, mate.
NARRATOR: It's the end of the day.
Fresh supplies of pearl white vinyl
will arrive first thing tomorrow.
It's 8:00 AM and Yianni is on his way to the unit.
Inside the garage, there's good news for the wrap team.
Mark, vinyl's here.
NARRATOR: The new vinyl is from the same batch.
But even so, there can be small differences.
Terry wants to compare the two vinyls side by side
to make sure the shades are pearlescent white
are 100% identical.
You know, the best thing to do is still pull
it outside in the daylight.
But if we bend down and look up at it,
this is darker than that one.
That's whiter.
[music playing]
Yian.
Don't tell him which one's which.
What do you reckon?
Left and right look totally different to the middle one.
OK.
Well, left and right are both out of the new batch
that we just received.
Don't work?
No.
We need a different plan then because we can't use it.
We need to either run the rose gold right to the edge
and have no white showing against the light.
It's probably your best bet.
We'll go as close as possible.
Just come down as far as you can.
Yeah?
And then we'll make a decision.
OK.
NARRATOR: The pressure is now on Nicco and Mark
to wrap the car perfectly first time in chrome rose gold.
They've laid cutting tape, which they
hope will give the perfect meeting
point for the two vinyls.
Are you ready for this?
We'll see what's going to happen.
I'm nervous, but we need to cut it.
NARRATOR: Everything hinges on this cut.
What do you think?
It looks all right for me.
Looks perfect.
We struggled, but we still made it.
NARRATOR: Mark and Nicco think they've nailed it,
but does the boss agree?
What do you think?
What do you think?
What are you saying?
What are you saying?
I think it works.
I think it works.
Chrome rose gold with the white.
Now, the rear light's in as well.
And the chrome just follows all the way down the back.
Yeah, 100%.
Happy days.
[music playing]
NARRATOR: Everything about this car
is huge, including its 6.75 liter engine.
But it's also deceptively fast.
The top speed has been restricted
to 149 miles per hour.
[music playing]
With the rose gold wrap back on track, outside,
it's time to reveal Nicholas and Andreas's bikes.
- You excited? - Yes.
Did you have fun?
Yes.
Because it's all about having fun.
Yes.
All right, so, Nicco and Mark are behind there.
OK? - Yeah.
Are you ready?
Yeah.
Are you confident with your bike?
Yeah.
Are you confident with your bike?
- Yeah. - Let's do this.
Confident with the ride.
[laughter]
[music playing] Everybody has to live my life
What do you think?
Do you like it? - Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you like your bike?
I don't like this.
- The tassels? - I knew it.
Yeah? Tell me.
You tell me what you think about your bike.
I like that there's loads of different colors.
OK.
What do you like about your bike?
I like how they didn't wrap all of it
at once, only a little bit.
OK, you know what?
Go get your bike.
Go get your bike.
Thank you.
All right, bye.
NARRATOR: The bikes are a half term hit.
The boys are successfully following
in their father's footsteps.
[music playing]
Deadline day.
The roof is the largest panel on the car.
Ready?
NARRATOR: It takes four people to position the vinyl.
All right.
Pull, pull, pull.
NARRATOR: And then it's over to the brothers to finish the job.
At a height of 1.6 meters, laying it is no easy task.
Yes.
Finally, just finishing touch.
We've just got enough vinyl on this one.
I think we've done well.
Yeah?
Yeah.
Love it.
NARRATOR: The two tone look is finished.
Now, Mike and Pav have to piece the huge car back together.
You're beautiful, baby.
NARRATOR: Yianni trusted the wrap brothers
to deliver on this tough job.
He needs to thoroughly check the whole
of the car to be 100% sure that there are no gaps in the vinyl.
I'm really pleased.
The chrome rose gold looks amazing on the top half.
It goes with the spirit of ecstasy as well.
He's a brand new customer, but I'm
hoping he's going to love this job
and we'll get plenty more work out of him.
NARRATOR: Omar is on his way.
He gave the team time to complete the job.
He's expecting perfection.
Good to see you.
Are you excited?
Well, I've got butterflies.
I think I know what it's going to look like.
I'm just hoping it's going to be what I expect.
We took our time.
I'm really pleased how it looks.
So it's behind that shutter.
Are you ready?
- I'm ready. - Sure?
I am.
Wait there.
[music playing]
Everybody wants to live my life, but they can't.
I'm the one and only.
I've been around the whole.
I get to fly this girl.
Everybody wants to live my life, but they can't.
I'm the one and only.
Yeah?
Yes.
Wow.
Incredible.
It's a dream come true.
Waited a long time for this day.
And wow.
You seem a little bit emotional.
We should dream about days like this, Yianni.
You know, when my father gave me my first car, which
was a Ford Sierra, we never knew that days like this would come.
And now, it's here.
I'm pleased.
I'm pleased this turned out like this.
It looks spectacular.
Absolutely spectacular.
I absolutely love the color.
It's like rose gold with the spirit of ecstasy.
I'm glad the lines of the vehicle where you
chose to put the rose gold and the pearl whites,
absolutely perfect
Chrome rose gold is my color.
I love that color.
This car has to be one of the best
cars on the streets of London.
I thank you very much for making London a better place.
And I'm hoping you'll get a lot of work out of this.
Thank you very much, Yianni.
My absolute pleasure.
Brilliant.
I'm so glad you're happy.
Take care, and I'll see you soon.
Thank you.
One of the best Rolls-Royces I've ever seen.
[music playing] Losing myself
I'm losing myself tonight
