and he's here to sink the black
and get amongst the colors, too.

completely transform it.

NARRATOR: The garage is busy.

Cars need to move in and out
efficiently to make money.

Yianni has decided this
job should take three days.

Firstly, I just want

We're wrapping it in

But if you see around the
lower half of the car,

it's in, like, a black
plastic, which means the vinyl

won't stick to that.

We need to prep it.

ready for wrap.

So you guys are going to have
to strip all of that off.

YIANNI: Terry--

Yeah, this has landed
on us, now, hasn't it?

PAV: Yeah.

YIANNI: It is a lot of
work-- full interior.

and be done, then, obviously,

you guys are then going
to fit it back up.

a 16-year-old boy.

They've just passed
it down to him.

fully strip the car down.

You guys wrap what you can
until the stuff comes out

from the body shop, and then
it's put it all back together,

and we'll have a happy customer.

NARRATOR: This is a big car.

Across the exterior
and interior,

there are over 80 parts
which need to come off.

The main priority is the
eight-part plastic body kit--

front and rear panels and three
solid pieces on each door.

They can't be
wrapped as they are.

They need to be sent
away to a paint shop

to be rubbed down and primed.
[music playing]

Everything's got to give me, man

NARRATOR: It will take
a full day to turn

around the body kit parts.

So time is of the essence.

[music playing]

Right here, I said
I'm going for the win

PAV: [whistles appreciatively]

NARRATOR: The exterior
has taken Mike and Pav

four hours to strip, and they
still have to tackle the inside.

I think the interior is going
to take just as long to strip

out as what the car has.

Seats, four door card,
set the dashboard--

Yep.

--airbag for steering wheel.

MIKE: Has one of those
ever popped on you?

PAV: Of course.

I was looking for
speakers, right?

And normally they're
twisted pairs.

Yeah, yeah.

So I thought, hey,
got to be one, isn't it?

No, you don't
mess around them.

Of course, I probed it.

All of a sudden, this
thing just went, bang!

I'll bet.

PAV: Let's crack on.

NARRATOR: All seven seats
need to be removed and sent

to the supplier who will strip
them and refit the new bespoke

black leather covers.

Each seat is held in place with
special, high-strength safety

bolts, as well as being
wired into the car's

electrical system.

Boomin!

Here we go, son.

Fucking hell, mate.

You done this before,
you're saying?

All right, let's crack
on with the back.

[upbeat music]

Mike?

MIKE: Yes?

I need to go to sleep, man.

I know you're not gone.

NARRATOR: The best way to
remove the back seats is

to electronically fold them flat
so they're easier to lift out.

Mind your arm--

armpit, I'm saying, on this bit.

That's it.

NARRATOR: The seats are out.

But Pav has saved
one job till last--

the airbag.

[dramatic music]

Now--

If the airbag goes
off now, it's going

to push Pav out the tailgate.

These are the stiffest plugs.

[dramatic music]

Trying to get this airbag off.

It's held in by
some sort of spring,

so god forbid, if you
do have an accident,

obviously it stays in
place, but then it ignites.

So there's a little spring
and a little catch back here.

NARRATOR: It's taken
Mike and Pav all day,

but the strip down is finished.

[upbeat music]

NARRATOR: Yianni loves a 4x4.

He's on his way in in his
85,000 Range Rover Velar.

What's happening?

NARRATOR: At the unit, with the
body kit panels and the seats

sent away, now it's time for
chrome vinyl specialist Nicco

and Mark to work their magic.

NARRATOR: The car's
wide, clamshell bonnet

is an unusual shape,
and this chrome vinyl is

only available in narrow rolls.

[music playing]

Boy, this red chrome
is looking nice.

NARRATOR: They have to
wrap it in three sections

and have chosen two lines on
the bonnet as a perfect place

to hide the joins.

Mark and Nicco are doing well.

The three-day SUV
wrap is on schedule.

It's going to look nice.

I love it.

[dramatic music]

NARRATOR: Yianni
needs to keep the cars

rolling through the
workshop to maximize profit.

And up in the office, they keep
a close eye on all the bays.

BERT: Yan?

Hmm?

Simon's been in touch about
the leather on the Range Rover.

Basically, they can't
open the two rear seats

without them being in the car.

So they need to put them
back into the car, power them

up, open them, take them
out, take them back.

And it gets better.

There is a delay on the leather.

Why?

BERT: Because it's
a seven-seater,

apparently the
middle seats have got

a different template to a
standard five-seater Range.

OK.

So he's saying there's going
to be at least a four-day delay.

Four days.

We've got a car
now with no interior.

So it's a dead car
sitting in the bay.

Yeah.

Plus, obviously, the wrap,
which, obviously, takes time.

That four days has just
extended the length of the time

the car has to be here now.

I don't want a car here

[suspenseful music]

NARRATOR: It's 8:00 AM,
and Reece from the custom

interior company has arrived.

The seats will only respond to
the unique electrical system

and codes from the
brain of this car.

So, what, this is all
just to relever, yeah?

You need the seats up?

Yeah we tried to power
it at work, but none of it.

None of it.

All righty, fair enough.
Right.

can complete the
three-hour round

trip to take them
back to be kitted

out in the new black leather.

This is a beast of an SUV with a
top speed of 130 miles per hour.

It has a built-in terrain
response system to adjust

for optimum driving conditions,
and all-wheel drive mode

comes as standard.

[upbeat music]

Despite the delay on
the leather interior,

Nicco and Mark still need
to crack on with the wrap.

This car has huge panels, but
they're flatter than a supercar,

so they're easier
and faster to wrap.

The brothers are
making progress.

The wrap is going well.

[chill music]

[upbeat music]

NARRATOR: It's a new day.

The seats still haven't
arrived, but the first parts

of the body kit are back.

[music playing]

We're moving on the low

We're getting in the

NARRATOR: To be sure the
chrome vinyl will stick

to the plastic parts, Nicco
and Mark apply a primer glue

around the edges of each panel.

We need some extra
stick on this one.

NARRATOR: Little
tricks like this

make sure the finish is perfect,
and the client is 100% happy.

I think it's looking
good at the moment.

At the moment.

[suspenseful music]

NARRATOR: Gluing
the panels worked.

Now it's over to Mike to
piece the car back together.

[upbeat music]

MIKE: These particular
panels have got locators,

so they really can only
sit in one position,

as long as all the clips
are in the right places.

[upbeat music]

NARRATOR: The wrap is complete.

The exterior is refitted,
but the collection is on hold

until the seats are delivered.

Yianni can't afford to have
a dead bay in the unit,

so he takes a chance
and moves the car

outside with no interior.

Upstairs, Bert has to work his
magic and find another client.

BERT: [humming]

[suspenseful music]

NARRATOR: Luckily,
someone answers his call,

and they're available to
drop their car off that day.

A white Porsche takes the slot.

But it's another white car which
attracts Yianni's attention.

Wow.

Look at that.

NARRATOR: Gengiz is a car dealer
friend who loves classics.

Yo.

I'm coming down.

NARRATOR: Yianni is always
hopeful that these social visits

will lead to business.

Wow.

Look at this.

GENGIZ: Come and
show you this baby.

YIANNI: Look at this.

GENGIZ: 3 liter, 1973.

Three years older

Alpina look they had back then.

It's a 3 liter, straight-six

which was a lot back in 1973.
