NARRATOR: This Beetle is a
modern take on the hugely

popular retro design.

Its chunky wheel arches
sit atop 18-inch alloys.

There are 10 color
choices, but none of them

are loud enough for Jolie.

Yianni wants the car done
in three working days

before he flies off to a best
mate's wedding on Friday night.

The pressure's on rookie
Andrew to make it happen.

[upbeat music]

So here it is, the
Beetle Dune Sport.

These Beetles are quite cool.

I remember them when they used
to have the flower on the front

and the-- was it the eyelashes?

Oh yeah, the eyelashes.

See, I'm remembering
Herbie and stuff

like that, the old school.

YIANNI: Ah, see, we're old.

Mike, you're going to
be stripping this car.

MIKE: We haven't done
one, but there are quite

a few gaps on this vehicle.

So I mean, this rear quarter,
it's not as if it's coming off,

and that's very deep.

little bit of a gap.

feels his way around the panels.

So I'm just starting on the
front bumper of the Beetle.

And I'm trying to get as
much space for the guys

to actually get the
vinyl around the panels.

So obviously, they can
tuck that vinyl right in,

make it look factory.

[music playing]

As you can see, that is
just allowed so much gap

around the headlight
and the sides.

So I'm happy with that.

NARRATOR: Success
at the front end.

[SINGING] I can pick
you up in the plane

NARRATOR: The wrappers also
want the rear spoiler removed.

Mike frees the internal
screws, but it won't come off.

He discovers it's
bonded to the car.

Trying to break the
bond could damage

the spoiler or the bodywork.

The wrappers will have
to work around it.

[upbeat music]

Upstairs, Yianni is
keeping an eye on the CCTV,

watching Andrew, because
this is his first time

managing a full wrap.

Andrew is like a like
a second Bert They call

him like Bert 2.0, B-Tec Bert.

They take the Mickey out of him.

But to be fair,
he's a great guy.

He's been in the industry
a little while now.

He's still got a long
way to go, but I've

given him this challenge.

[upbeat music]

NARRATOR: Amelia and Chris
are the wrap crew on this job.

They're also new to the team
and are keen to make their mark

with Andrew and the boss.

They need to pull the
pink material down

over this rounded bonnet and
work it into the small dip

where the badge sits.

AMELIA: That's enough.

OK, just pull this
down, not too much.

But just so--

NARRATOR: Amelia notices
a flaw in the vinyl.

It's like a pink.

Almost like a red line here.

Where is it?

OK, so we're going to have to--

in order to pull this over
here, we have to lift this up.

NARRATOR: They decide to
try and lift the vinyl

and reposition it--

OK, lift it up.

NARRATOR: --to hide
the imperfection

under the bonnet badge.

OK, pull that down.

NARRATOR: But vinyl
isn't designed to be

frequently laid and lifted.

There is glue marks in it.

It's not perfect,
so I don't think

it's going to be all right.

[suspenseful music]

NARRATOR: Nervous that the
finish isn't up to scratch,

they call Andrew in.

What up, Andrew?

How's it going?

- Not happy.

You see the glue--

there's a couple of
glue marks there.

But you can see the line
here where we've-- obviously,

it's been laid, and we've
had to pull it up, too.

You can see the line
where it's been pulled up.

[puffs]

It just doesn't look perfect.

No, it's a shame
because you've managed

to move that red line across.

Hidden the red line, but now
we've got some more lines, so.

That to me is wasted.

AMELIA: I know.

ANDREW: So strip the bonnet.

Let's get it rewrapped.

And we'll order some more vinyl.
AMELIA: OK.

AMELIA: Yeah.

NARRATOR: Right now,
there's nothing they can do.

The Bonnet rewrap will have to
wait until tomorrow because it's

the end of a frustrating day.

Yianni's getting ready
for his big weekend.

He drops by his barber's
to talk holidays.

revamped a classic bug.

version the other day.

It's Bert from Yiannimize here.

First car up this week
is this thing behind me.

It's a fun cup car, ready
for the race series.

As you can see, it's
got a few knocks.

NARRATOR: The team rarely
work on cars this old,

but the wrap color totally
transformed the 1970s Beetle.

It was a really sick wrap.

Not really sure about this, but
if the customer really want it,

we're going to deliver it, and
we're going to make her happy.

[music playing]

NARRATOR: Deadline day.

Still no Amelia.

Mike is filling in to try
and get the car finished,

but the hardest part
still lies ahead.

ANDREW: What are you working on?

That's going to be the spoiler.

I thought this was coming off.

Yeah, that's what
I thought as well.

But apparently, it won't.

It's going to be hard.

So I'm going to spend a
couple of hours on this.

hours, but eventually,

the rear spoiler is finished.

A slam dunk for Mikey.

With the wrap complete,
Mike moves in to fit

up this bubblegum pink beauty.
