It's now stripped back
to the original paint.

And today, Shahzad has
big plans of his own.

It's not easy

brand's flagship supercar.

The waiting list for this
2014 model was up to a year.

Its chassis is made from
aluminum and carbon fiber,

giving it an impressive
power-to-weight ratio.

And its sports
suspension is inspired

by Formula One technology.

This is not gonna
be a normal wrap.

I've just finished
speaking to the customer.

His favorite colors are orange
and green, so I was like, cool.

So we're gonna wrap
the roof in green.

But here's the catch.

He wants this car to look
like a learner vehicle.

What?

No, you're obviously
joking, right?

AMELIA: It's not actually gonna
be a learner vehicle, is it?

NARRATOR: So we're gonna have
to have L-plates on the front,

and the back, and on the side.

Here's the kicker, he wants
a learner box on the roof.

Have you seen this roof?

It is not a straight roof.

How are we gonna
mount it on the roof?

I'm not drilling.

MIKE: Of course.

YIANNI: My concern
is this goes fast.

I do not want that learner box
flying off the roof of the car

and embarrassing us.

It needs to look perfect.

NARRATOR: Shahzad has
chosen the learner

box he wants and
has arranged for it

to be delivered to Yianni's.

While the car is
washed, Bert tries

a new piece of design software
to mock up an image for the team

to work to.

[upbeat dance music]

I don't know what
this thing does,

but it looks like I'm
tracing out the roof.

I don't know what I'm doing.

I have no idea what I'm doing.

The green is looking shocking.

[laughing]

Oh, god.

[laughing]

NARRATOR: After a
painful struggle,

he decides to go old school
to create a white L plate.

BERT: Now I'm gonna color
it in like a five-year-old.

I'm gonna turn it up to 600.

[laughing]

Just scratching it all up.

[laughing]

There we go, that should do it.

Perfect.

They'll know what they're
doing from that, wouldn't they?

[laughing]

As the team try to make
sense of Bert's design,

Mikey begins wrapping
the mirrors while Mike

starts removing the rear vents.

MIKE: The most difficult part
about taking these side vents

out is actually climbing
through the engine bay

to undo the screws.

It's so tight there.

There's not a lot of space,
so you do have to be careful.

NARRATOR: There are only
four screws to remove,

but access is tight.

MIKE: The hole is not straight.

It's at an angle
and quite far back.

[upbeat r&b music]

[ominous music]

NARRATOR: He's dropped a small
screw into the engine bay.

MIKE: Right now, I don't know
what the hell I'm gonna do.

NARRATOR: If he can't find it,
it could cause major damage

to the supercar's engine.

It's fallen right down.

Oh, because it's
completely sealed off.

NARRATOR: Desperate
to locate it,

Mike tries to fish it
out with a magnetic rod.

Yeah.

Lovely.

MIKEY: Got it?
- Yes.

Well done.

NARRATOR: Now, Mark
and Mikey have access

to start wrapping the roof.

YIANNI: I can't believe
what he's doing.

BERT: It's a fantastic idea.

The exposure, 300
grand car, L-plates.

When I put it on my
socials, it's gonna

be-- it's gonna be a monster.

Assuming the box
doesn't fall off

the roof when he accelerates.

trickiest part is this piece

that we're doing now.

We need to be careful not
to go through the vinyl.

If we rip 1 millimeter
here, we basically gonna end

up rewrapping the whole thing.

[upbeat r&b music]

NARRATOR: In the
office, Yianni's

watching progress on the CCTV.

YIANNI: So the
roof is now green.

It's interesting, shall we say.

Listen, my customer
thinks it will work.

At this precise
time, I'm not sure.

But with the big
learner box on the roof,

I hope it will look different.

NARRATOR: This supercar
features a hand-built 6.5 liter

engine that takes 20
hours to construct.

It can hit a top speed
of 217 miles per hour.

The highly advanced
transmission can

shift gears in a super
fast 50 milliseconds.

It's a new day, and Yianni
is on the road early.

He's expecting a package

The task of customizing
it to fit the car

now falls on Pav's shoulders.

It's aluminum, so we can't
use nonmagnetic strips

or anything like that.

TERRY: We're gonna have to build
that center up with something.

We've got some foam.

PAV: I've got some foam,
and I say we saw the shape.

Sand it down.

TERRY: We cannot
keep offering it up,

see how much we need to take
off till we get it right, yeah?

NARRATOR: The roof
is far from flat,

so Pav needs to make a
base for the learner box

to mount securely to.

By using foam, he
can mold the base

to the exact shape of the roof,
resulting in an even surface

to mount the box to.

But it's a slow process, as
he has to constantly check

he's carving the right profile.

Nothing is straight
on this roof.

Back to the drawing board again.

NARRATOR: It's taken all
morning to get to this point.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not
feeling too good about this one

at the minute.

NARRATOR: Inside, Pav
is feeling the pressure.

But outside, Yianni is
up to meet car blogger

and social media star Sam, who
drives a Porsche 718 Cayman S.

Sam has hundreds of
thousands of followers,

and his car gets
lots of exposure.

So Yianni wants to make sure
his wrap is still looking fresh.

Sam.

Hello, mate.

The poshest guy I know.

What are you talking about?

I was raised on the streets.

YIANNI: What are
you talking about?

YIANNI: [laughs] How you been?

NARRATOR: The base is
fitted to the learner box.

He then decides to use a strong
adhesive capable of bonding

the whole box to the
vinyl, but without damaging

the expensive wrap
or the paint below.

Do you know what?
Look what's happening.

It's burning through the foam.

This ain't good, though.

This adhesive is far, far
too strong for the foam

that we've got and it's
melting through the foam.

NARRATOR: The smell
soon attracts attention.

YIANNI: Pav, what is that smell?

The whole unit stinks.

Don't, Yain, man.

I had to open the shutter.

I've got a problem with this.

What the hell?

PAV: Don't panic.

Hold on, what have you done?

Why is it all burnt?

PAV: The glue has
melted the polystyrene.

Why didn't you
do a test patch?

It's polystyrene.

It's obvious that it would burn.

Pav, you are a G. And for
me, someone of your level,

I wouldn't expect this.

Pav, my biggest concern,
when this car came in

was that if he accelerates
and it comes off the roof,

it's a big problem.

What happens if it
doesn't secure on, Pav?

PAV: I can just put my hands
up and say I'll deal with it.

[ominous music]

YIANNI: If that box
falls off the roof,

I'm gonna be embarrassed
as a company,

my customer is
gonna be pissed off,

and I can have a lawsuit against
me if that hits another car.

Freaking out.

NARRATOR: While Pav
tries to find a solution,

the team needs to make
progress where they can.

Amelia cracks on
with the L-plates.

AMELIA: We're just about
to cut out the L-plates

for the Lamborghini.

We're doing the red first.

So we're just gonna
cut out the Ls

and then we'll cut out the
white to go on the background.

[upbeat r&b music]

I've never had a car come
in that's wanted L-plates.

And especially
not a Lamborghini.

It'll stand out.

That does look ridiculous.

NARRATOR: She's not happy.

AMELIA: I think I'm
gonna have to change it.

NARRATOR: And flags it to Bert.

BERT: That doesn't work.

In my head, I envisaged it
being straight on the car.

So forget about
the lines of the car?

BERT: Forget the
lines of the car.

That, to me, should be straight.

You're gonna have
to scale it down

to, sort of, hit into that gap.
AMELIA: OK.

BERT: OK.
I'll see you in a bit.

NARRATOR: It's back to the
drawing board for Amelia.

But outside, there's progress.

Pav has come up with
a new top box plan.

PAV: I've decided to
scrap the foam idea.

And I'm gonna go back to my
old school methods of MDF,

a bit of wood.

Can't go wrong.

I'm gonna cut some
strips, bond the strips

to the base, and then
bond that to the roof.

And if this doesn't work, well,
then I'm gonna find another job.

[upbeat rock music]

NARRATOR: This time, Pav
opts for a different glue,

a heavy duty sealant which
is both strong and safe

for the vinyl.

PAV: There you go, sorted.

I'm glad it's worked.

I'm just gonna add
some masking tape just

to hold it down in position.

And then tomorrow, we should
take the masking tape off

and, hopefully,
she's stuck down.

[upbeat music]

NARRATOR: With just hours to
go until the customer arrives,

Amelia lays the last
of the vinyl decals.

And Yianni comes to check on
Pav's work on the learner box.

YIANNI: Wow.

Bro, this looks unbelievable.
