Previously

on The Voice...

# You may have won the battle

# But we have won the... #

..the battle rounds kicked off.

(SINGERS VOCALISE)

Whoo!

Artists went head to head.

Yes!

But only one could win.

The person who wins that battle for me is Meg.

James.

Bianka.

I can't not have you on my team. Is Ellaphon.

Lilli.

Charlie.

Is Mitchell.

And two saves have already been used.

It's gonna be tempting to-to go-go with Ronan.

You know, go with the one that you know.

All I want to say to you is look where that's got you, OK?

Kate.

Amazing. Thank you so much.

(SCREAMS)

The coach I'll choose is Richard.

In your face.

Ah Richard and Ronan.

Will you ever be friends again?

We weren't friends before.

We were never friends.

(SINGERS VOCALISE)

Yes!

The battles intensify.

That was so unbelievable.

Like goosebumps everywhere.

I'm so proud of both of you.

I'm literally just catching my breath.

What a moment.

With only Mel and Ronan holding on to their saves...

It's only Mel and I.

..securing a spot is tougher than ever.

But is the weight of the competition

getting too much for Ronan?

I'm sorry, guys, I'm really struggling.

I feel like, well, look, guys,

just give me a second, because I'm...

I just...I just...I just need to sort.

Oh, what are you up to?

I just need to sort something out. Just give me a minute, please.

# This is The Voice. #

Welcome to night two of the battles.

With just a few saves left in play, the stakes are at an all-time high.

Each artist must deliver a showstopping performance

for their chance to stay in the competition.

Holding no punches.

It's your superstar coaches

Kate Miller-Heidke.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Ronan Keating.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Richard Knox.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

And Melanie C.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Getting it started tonight, it's Team Richard.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

This battle is between my young R&B singer Hailey

and my soul singer Joseph.

Oh, hello Hello.

Hey, Joseph.

Good to see you. Good to see you, too.

Oh, my gosh.

I cannot believe Richard has paired both of us together.

The fact that Joseph did get a four chair turn,

um, means that the pressure is on,

and I definitely have my work cut out for me.

# I was born by the river... #

Joseph came in with a sledgehammer of a vocal.

# Want to knocking me Back down on my knees

# Oh... #

And when Hailey stepped up.

First thought I had

was really Whitney? OK.

She nailed the notes that we expect.

# And I will always love you. #

But she really kind of turned it into her own vehicle,

and that really impressed me.

So, are you guys ready to know the song I picked for you?

Yes. Yeah.

I'm very excited about this.

I'm gonna have you guys sing,

'I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For' by U2.

Oh. Awesome. It's one of my favourite songs.

We're gonna do it very differently.

I want you to turn it into almost like a gospel song.

I'm gonna have you start it, Hailey.

OK. Um.

Let's just start playing around with it.

# I have climbed The highest mountains... #

You can take your time.

# I have run through the fields... #

Yes.

Hailey just needs to maintain the confidence.

She's got all the goods.

She just needs to believe

that everything she's gonna sing is gonna work.

Your second verse,

I want you to go home, and I want you to go on YouTube.

And I want you to watch

two or three later performances of Aretha Franklin live.

Right yeah.

And just hear what she's doing.

And go what can I borrow?

What can I steal from that?

(SONG PLAYS IN BACKGROUND)

The song is in a pretty high key,

so, it's hard for me as a male vocalist,

but for Hailey,

it's a pretty easy key to-to sit within.

#I have run

# I have gone

# I have skimmed These city walls... #

You know, Joseph needs to not just rely

always on the big power voice.

He needs to find

all the other colours and all the nuances.

Joseph, my advice to you is you've got that power.

I want to hear other stuff.

I want you to choose your moments

to surprise everyone...

and be able to go, like, from here in a minute.

Back at it.

It's almost like fading back. Yep.

And going like this,

where you're just jabbing here, and then you come around with this.

One thing that's gonna make

or break this for either of you

is that combination of giving me the power,

but literally breaking my heart

at the same time.

Whichever one of you breaks my heart

the worst in this performance is probably gonna win.

I think my biggest challenge with this battle

is to take what I have

and see if I can make Richard feel something.

I'm gonna have to do some homework...

to really find...

how I can bring a different colours to this song.

I'm gonna have to bring it.

# Just turn it on... #

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

# I have climbed

# The highest mountain

# I have run through the fields

# Only to be with you

# Only to be with you

# I have run

# I have crawled

# I am scaled... #

Oof.

# These city walls... #

Nice!

# Only to be with you

# Only to be with you... #

Ha-ha oh.

# But I still haven't found

# What I'm looking for

# I have kissed honey lips... #

Yes.

# Felt the healing in her fingertips

# It burned like fire

# Ooh, this burning desire

# I have spoke With the tongue of angels

# I have held The hand of a devil oh

# It was warm in the night

# I was cold as a stone

# Oh

# But I still haven't found

# What I'm looking for

# Ooh

# I still haven't found

# But I still haven't found

# What I'm looking for

# What I'm looking for ooh

# But I still

# Haven't found

# What I'm looking for. #

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

The audience are up on their feet.

Joseph and Hailey.

Wow, what a reaction.

That was mesmerising. Look at that.

It was massive. Listen to that.

Listen to that.

Richard's saying can you hear that?

I want you both to take a minute

and really take in what happened at the end of that performance,

because we see great performance after great performance.

And I'm not taking anything away from any of the other performances

that we've seen,

but we have not seen anything like that.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

That was so unbelievable. Like goosebumps everywhere.

I'm so proud of both of you.

So proud of you.

I am literally just catching my breath.

What a moment. You are both so gifted.

You know, what an honour to sit here and be able to listen to that

To witness that.

What is Richard to do?

Eek!

Um Joseph, you're so softly spoken.

And then it's like somebody else is hiding inside you when you sing.

It's just how comes this voice is just unbelievable.

Hailey, you're so raw. How old are you, Hailey?

19.

I mean, crazy, crazy like...

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

It's only the beginning.

It's only the beginning for you.

Whatever happens, it's only like you're just both so good.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Look, you should both be so proud of that.

I think what it comes down to is, is, Hailey,

you need a little bit more experience.

I feel like...

and your voice is incredible.

And that's the danger

when you have such an incredible voice

and so many options at every point with each phase.

And you went up to that crazy high, like, whistle tone register,

and you can do all these fast, fancy ornaments.

For me, it was too much.

Joseph is the winner for me.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

This is brutal. This is brutal.

I want you both to know that I couldn't be more proud

to have worked with you.

Joseph you're what this show's all about.

You really are.

Thank you.

I did have a concern

when we first started working together.

I said the-the powerhouse voice that you are is magnificent.

But it can't just be that.

We need to go from here to here. It can't always be ten out of ten.

And I have so much gratitude and respect

for how you took that on board.

You nailed it from beginning to end.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE) Thank you. Thank you.

And, Hailey,

you had the vocals down from day one when I said, hey

pretend Aretha Franklin is singing this song.

And you went, "OK, I get that, I get that,"

and that's what you

that's I-I think you-you really did channel her.

For me it has to be who do I truly believe in my heart

can go all the way?

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Um.

I don't envy you.

The winner of this battle...

is Joseph.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Congratulations, Joseph.

You won the battle.

You are gonna the Knockouts.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Make some noise for Joseph. (CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Oh, man. I'm so proud of you.

We're gonna have so much fun, man.

Um Hailey.

You are at risk of going home.

Let's see if one of these superstar coaches

can save you and take you through to the Knockouts.

Coaches.

It is your time now to make a decision.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

It's only Mel and I.

That is no save.

No save from the coaches tonight.

But what a battle that was, Hailey.

Is there anything that you'd like to say to your coach?

Oh, Richard, thank you for giving me the opportunity

to be in this competition.

I've learned so much already.

I'm gonna work harder...

Oh, good on you. ..and come back.

Hailey, you are...you are a dream.

And I have no doubt you're gonna be a star.

I really appreciate that. Thank you.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

I'm so proud of you.

You really did a beautiful job.

Just keep at it.

You'll be back, I promise.

Hailey.

Well done, darling, you were brilliant.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Next up on The Voice, Team Kate step into the back rooms.

Don't go anywhere. Australia.

# This is The Voice. #

# This is The Voice. #

Good to see you.

You know Sienna? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

This battle is between my

effortlessly cool young artist

and my indie singer songwriter.

I'm excited. Yeah?

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

I paired Euan and Sienna together

because they're already

both artists.

They sound like nobody else on the planet.

# Give me a reason to love you

# Give me a reason... #

Sienna was such a massive moment

in the Blinds.

Honestly, one of my favourite auditions that we saw.

# Thunder only

# Happens when it's raining... #

Euan was another highlight

of the Blinds for me.

# Players only love you When they're playing... #

He's a songwriter and you can tell.

You guys want to hear what song you'll be doing?

Yes. Yeah, yeah.

Yes. It's a song I love and I hope you guys love it too.

It's a song by Damien Rice called 'The Blower's Daughter'.

Do you know this song?

Yeah. I don't know that song very well.

I was pretty scared.

Should we give it a go?

Alright.

I've only heard this song

a couple of times in my life,

so, this has definitely stumped me

a little bit in my tracks.

Yeah.

# And so it is

# And just like you

# You said it would be... #

Yeah. Alright.

So, let's start again from the beginning.

The song.

It's got a massive range.

It's super challenging

because it starts off super low in my register.

And then I have to do a big jump

to get up to the high part.

# The cold aah...

OK.

# And the Blower's Daughter... #

Um, I was really shocked at how tentative he was.

I know you're still learning this song,

but it's very timid.

It's in a very timid spot at the moment.

Mm-hm.

You have to show us what you can do.

It's a song I'm not super familiar with.

It goes from so low in my range.

And then that big sudden jump.

Yeah.

I'm not quite sure of.

Do you want to change the key or something?

Um, if we change the key, it's gonna be too low probably.

So much of this is all in the mind.

I just really hope that the more they practice it,

the more confident they'll get.

# The Blower's Daughter

# The pupil in denial. #

Hmm.

I thought these were my most self-assured, fully cooked,

proper artists.

And yet, yeah, they both seem to be doubting themselves.

So, Sienna I'd love to hear, like

what you just did then

with between seven and ten times more energy behind it.

For me, it's a very slow song.

So, in the gaps filling that space, you can't be like nervous.

You sort of have to like, accept the gap,

which is nerve wracking.

So, you have to keep delivering us that message of the song.

It has to be there, behind your eyes, in the gaps.

If you don't,

it could really fall flat.

I need them to go away and do their homework

to think about

what they're gonna bring to every lyric.

# There ain't No stopping me now... #

I'm gonna fight really hard to win the battle.

# There ain't No stopping me now... #

I've wanted to do music my whole entire life,

and I wouldn't want to go home just yet.

I'm desperate to win this battle.

To be able to work with Kate more it would be so amazing.

Would really make a difference on my musical career.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

# There ain't no stopping me now

# And so it is just like

# You said it would be

# The life goes easy on me... #

Nice.

# Most of the time

# And so it is

# Shorter story

# No love, no glory

# No hero in the sky

# I can't take my eyes off of you

# I can't take my eyes off of you

# I can't take my eyes off of you

# I can't take my eyes

# And so it is

# Cold water

# The Blower's Daughter

# Oh, yeah

# The pupil in denial

# I can't take my eyes off of you

# I can't take my eyes. #

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Wow, that was beautiful. Melanie.

Who takes the win for you?

You know, I do absolutely love you both.

You are very individual.

Both of you. I mean, amazing vocals.

Absolutely loved it.

Um, Sienna, it just...it just flew out of you so effortlessly.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

And, Euan, your voice is like oh,

it's just so warm and beautiful and so commanding.

I absolutely love your tone.

And yeah, I would be really interested to see,

you know, where else you could go.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

You're both incredible. You're both true artists.

Um, Euan, when you,

I mean, when you go up the octave to that first chorus,

it's just sublime.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Sienna,

you know, you really made that song your own in a beautiful way.

You kept that quiet soft intimacy for a lot of the song,

which I found quite mesmerising.

I was really, really drawn in.

Thank you, Kate.

Kate, what is the decision gonna be?

It's-it's really hard because you're so different

and you're both so amazing in your own ways.

For me the winner of this battle is...

Sienna.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Congratulations, Sienna.

Good luck, good work.

Sienna goes through to the Knockouts.

Well, Sienna has won the battle,

but Euan still has a chance to be saved.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

(AUDIENCE CHANT)

He's pretty cool.

He's got so much more to give. I know.

I don't want to see him go. I know. I don't want to see him.

He's got such a vibe.

I know, I like him. I think he's worth it.

He's really great.

I'm gonna do it.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Oh!

Surprise!

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Congratulations. Thank you.

Euan, you have been saved by Melanie C.

Mel. It's a great call. Great call.

So, Melanie, tell us,

you know, what made you use your save there for Euan?

I loved Euan the Blinds.

I didn't turn for you.

I was getting right to the end

of getting my team together.

And I was just so poised on getting this specific thing.

And I was annoyed with myself.

And, you know, there's so much more to you.

You know, I don't want to see you go home yet.

Thanks, Mel. Thank you.

That means you're mine.

Congratulations, Euan.

See you at the Knockouts.

Let me in first, Mel.

You absolutely smashed that.

How are you? That was so brilliant.

Yeah. Well done. You're in good hands.

Yeah, we're gonna have fun.

Thank you. This is gonna be great.

Thank you.

I think he's a bit shocked.

I think he might need a minute to process it.

Still to come.

Show stopping vocals hit new heights.

It just gives me goosebumps and makes me cry.

You dominated that song.

Your stage presence is just out of this world.

But Ronan's the only coach

with a lifeline.

It's really hard to only having one save.

You've got to really think about the long game.

Will Ronan use his save?

There's an artist that I cannot get out of my head.

# This is The Voice. #

This battle is between

my DJ Justin and aerialist Amber.

# No, no, no, no... #

In Amber's Blind audition,

she had incredible charisma,

stage presence,

while hitting some pretty high notes.

# Ah! #

I'm begging you to join Team Kate.

Let's have some serious fun together.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

It was so joyful. It was electrifying.

# You know

# This boogie Is for real. #

I turned for Justin

because I could tell that he was dancing.

I was really looking for someone

who could bring that sort of physicality to my team.

That sense of pure fun.

# I don't know Where the story goes... #

Both of them did let their vocals slip a bit

during the blind auditions,

because they were moving around and dancing.

This is their chance to show me that they can entertain,

but also deliver a flawless vocal.

The song that I've picked for their battle is 'Gimme!

Gimme! Gimme!' by ABBA.

So, Kate obviously wanted the vocals to stay strong,

but also the performance to stay strong.

And although maybe

it might seem like

sometimes my performance

takes the lead,

I can do both and I'm keen to finally show it.

I'm worried about getting caught up in the performance

ever so slightly.

I think it's very easy to get carried away

when singing a song and shouting.

Ah sometimes when entertaining it's so easy to do

to get caught up in the moment.

I just hope

that Kate sees the hard work that I can put in,

that the other coaches see the hard work that I can put in.

I need these guys to be free

to be the entertainers that they are.

But the show is called The Voice, and the singing cannot come second.

Whoever can bring me the quality vocals

as well as bringing the energy

is gonna win this battle.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Whoo!

Hey, oh

# Hey, yeah

# Half past twelve

# And I'm watching' The late show in my flat, all alone

# How I hate to spend the evening On my own

# Autumn winds

#Blowing' outside the window As I look around the room

# And it makes me so depressed To see the gloom

# There's not a soul out there

# No-one to hear my prayer

# Prayer

# Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

# A man after midnight

# Won't somebody help me Chase the shadows away

# Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

# A man after midnight

# Take me through the darkness To the break of the day

# There's not a soul out there

# No-one to hear my prayer

# Prayer

# Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

# A man after midnight

# Won't somebody help me Chase the shadows away

# Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

# A man after midnight

# Take me through the darkness To the break of the day

# Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

# A man after midnight

# Gimme a man

# Won't somebody help me Chase the shadows away

# Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

# A man after midnight

# Take me through the darkness To the break of the day. #

Amber and Justin.

Gimme, gimme, gimme some more of that battle.

OK.

These two are born entertainers, right?

Oh, absolutely. I'm so proud of you both.

And I hope this isn't the last time you sing together.

Because I would totally buy tickets to see this show.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE) Thank you.

Thanks.

Visually, it was. It was great.

It's very difficult to know how to command a stage

for people to keep their eyes on you, glued to you.

You guys both know how to do that.

Like, and that is an incredible talent in itself.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

I think it's a very, very tough decision for you.

I'm gonna be a little critical for a second

because I feel lik that's, you know, my responsibility.

The thing that threw me a little bit throughout the performance,

oddly enough, was rhythm, was timing.

I felt like you guys were really pushing and rushing.

You know, when you're gonna do a dance thing like that,

you got to be in the pocket.

And I felt like you guys

were a little all over the place rhythmically.

So, that's somethin I would suggest you work on together

or separately.

The song suited both of you vocally,

but I felt like, Justin, you just, it was in the meat of your range.

Some of your vocal choices,

I thought, whoa, I didn't expect him to do that,

so, I thought you were both great.

I really enjoyed it,

but I think Justin was the winner of this one.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Look, I know how hard you work on that song.

And, yes, you know, there were moments

where maybe the vocals did suffer when you were moving around a lot.

I think maybe there were some moments during that song

where both of you could have benefited

from just being a little bit more grounded,

especially before the high notes.

You know, to-to really own those moments vocally.

But it was just so much fun to watch, you know?

And it-it just transcended all of that.

It was fun to do. Like, it was really fun.

It was a pleasure.

Honestly, it feels like it was meant to be

that we were working together.

It was. Yeah.

Yeah. Look, Amber, you.

Your stage presence is just out of this world.

I love looking at you.

I love looking at your face.

I want some of what you've got.

And, Justin, I really think you did.

You really did shine in that performance.

And vocally, you really stepped it up a level.

You impressed all of us with what you did tonight.

(SIGHS)

So, the decision. Kate.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

You're both incredible.

For me the winner of this battle...

is...

Amber.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Congratulations to Amber.

She is going through to the Knockouts.

It's been an absolute pleasure having you, Justin.

Thank you. Sadly, no save for you tonight.

And your time in the competition ends now.

But please give Justin the biggest round of applause

as he leaves The Voice stage.

Well done. Congratulations.

Wow, you absolutely nailed it.

Thank you. You should be so proud.

Yeah.

Thank you. All the best.

Thanks, guys, thanks you so much. Well done, mate, good on you.

The battles are heating up

and there are more impossible decisions ahead.

Stick around to see what happens next.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

# The is The Voice. #

This battle is between

my two country mums,

Saralyn and Tiffney.

Tiffney. How are you?

Tiffney! Good. How are you?

Oh, look. It's your battle partner.

Hi. Hi.

I grouped these two artists together

because I don't think I can go forward in the competition

with two country stars.

How are you feeling after your four chair turn?

I didn't think I'd get a-a turn, let alone four.

# I don't know what to do

# Baby when you're gone. #

That's not even something I literally had ever dreamed of.

# I realise I'm in love. #

Australia needs a great female country star.

At my Blind Audition.

I sang 'If Tomorrow Never Comes'

by Ronan Keating.

Come on, Mummy.

# If tomorrow never comes. #

And boom, like just before I finish,

he turns around and I see his face.

And I sang those last few words to him

and it just felt absolutely incredible.

# If tomorrow never comes. #

Welcome to Team Ronan.

Whoo!

So, I guess you want to know what song

you're gonna be singing in the battle?

The song that you'll be singing in your battle

is 'Like a Prayer' by Madonna.

Oh, yeah. Yeah? Ha-ha.

That is epic. That's good.

Thank you.

So, obviously, we're gonna...we're gonna

change it up a little bit.

It's the-the Miley Cyrus country version.

This song is about female empowerment.

And these two ladies, I mean, they ooze it.

We're professional. We know what we're doing.

Both country stars they wear their heart on the sleeve.

They're mums at heart. But I need a star.

# Just like a prayer

# You know I'll take you there

# Just like a prayer Take me there... #

The first run through of-of our song.

I'm not gonna lie

it was probably a little bit rough,

we probably both felt like

it was a little bit rough.

We've lost it. Sorry.

Alright, hang on, hang on, hang on.

Gotta work out the harmony.

And you gotta...you gott familiarise yourself with that part.

That bit yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. What it does there.

I would love to say that I'm great at harmonies,

but I'm not.

Who would be more confident in a harmony?

My problem is, I've got autophony in my ear.

Autophony. OK. So, what is it? What is it exactly explained?

Is it a sound?

No, no, no, it's just it's literally like,

you know, when you have your finger in your ear

and it sounds like echoey.

So, it's like that in my right ear all the time.

As a singer, only issues with your ears are gonna be,

you know, massive problems.

And with that, she's saying that she's not sure

she's gonna be able to harmonise.

This could be a problem.

So, would you feel more comfortable doing the harmony there on that?

I think I could yeah,

I probably just need some help finding it

and then I'll be right.

So, I had to just take one for the team hey.

It's out of my comfort zone.

It's not something that I usually do.

Could we just try it.

But I've got to do it

and I've got to give it a crack.

Just real quick acapella. Just try and do it.

I'll let you lead and I'll sort of come in when I can.

# In the midnight hour

# I can feel your power

# Just like a prayer, you know?

# I'll take you there. #

Yeah. It's not... We're not there yet.

OK.

It's very important that you listen to what the other person is doing,

but not fall into the pocket.

And what was happening was you were falling

in between that the-the harmony and the melody line.

Tiffney, you're looking a bit scared.

Are you OK? Yeah? Yeah. Yeah.

It's just like you said. We haven't. We've never.

We don't even know each other.

So, learning each other and we'll-we'll get there.

I really need you to channel

your inner country rock star, OK?

I know you're both fabulous mums.

But, I need you guys to be rock stars.

I need to just really...

dig into my inner rock star.

The inner, this one, and really, really bring it.

I am definitely not ready to go home.

I am out of the mum zone.

I am here because I want to showcase to Australia

that I've got what it takes.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Wow.

How are you feeling about this one?

Yeah, I'm nervous

because they're both really great, but very different country stars.

They look amazing.

This really comes down to the performance tonight.

My decision. Absolutely.

# Life is a mystery

# Everyone must stand alone

# I hear you call my name

# And it feels like home

# When you call my name

# It's like a little prayer I'm down on my knees

# I want to take you there

# In the midnight hour I can feel your power

# Just like a prayer You know I'll take you there

# I hear your voice

# It's like an angle sighing

# I have no choice I hear your voice

# Heaven help me

# When you call my name It's like a little prayer

# I'm down on my knees I want to take you there

# In the midnight hour I can feel your power

# Just like a prayer You know I'll take you there

# Just like a prayer Your voice can take me there

# Just like it used to be You are a mystery

# It's just like a dream

# You are not what you seem

# Just like a prayer

# No choice Your voice can take me there

# Just like a prayer I'll take you there

# I'll take you there

# Just like a dream to me

# Just like a dream to me

# Just like a prayer

# I'll take you there

# Yeah

# Like a dream to me

# Dream to me. #

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Wow.

Oh, man.

I'm so proud of both of you.

I-I am blown away.

You-you were great in rehearsals, but you've just...

blown it out of the bloody ballpark.

I mean, I'm...

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE) That's amazing.

We couldn't have done it without you, Ronan.

Honestly.

Oh, I um know.

But I'm struggling now because now I don't know what to do.

I'm like, I'm really confused.

We were hoping for that actually. Yeah. That's our goal.

We-we worked so hard together.

And, you know, Saralyn and I have actually become the best of friends

and backstage and-and doing and we're just so bogan.

We're just letting it all out like.

Representing the mums and the country guys out there.

So, you know.

But that's what I love about you both.

We've had a blast. That's what I love about you both.

You know, you are you're-you're bogans at heart

and you're so brilliant.

Wait we're hot mum bogans now, remember that.

Yeah, exactly. Whatever. You know what? You know all of it.

It's just you're so cool, both of you.

And you don't know how cool you are.

And I don't know how I choose. I don't.

I'm gonna need the help of these guys

because I'm really struggling right now.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

I love that song, but it was so cool

how you reinvented it in this country version.

I loved that, so unexpected.

I think you know, Saralyn,

I love that country twang in your voice,

that sort of reedy quality to you.

Thank you.

But, Tiffney, you've kind of got this more rock,

like a country rock edge to your voice.

And it's deeper and fuller, which is quite interesting as well.

It's intriguing.

If it were up to me

I, I've just I've got a soft spot for that,

for that country twang, that pure country sound.

I'd be...I'd be going for-for you, Saralyn.

But you're both brilliant.

Thank you so much, Kate. Thank you.

You know, I feel a little differently than Kate,

and I totally understand why she said what she said.

But, Tiffney, I thought

that you sort of committed to your rock roots

or your edgier thing,

which was your lane, which is your wheelhouse, right?

For me, this show is about looking for artists, true artists.

And in this particular performance,

I was really blown away by your individual artistry

and how you took that song.

You dominated that song.

You made it into what you wanted it to be.

Really impressive. Thank you.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

You've given it your all. 100% from both of you tonight.

Saralyn, you absolutely dominated as a country star.

But, Tiff you-you've all those other flavours,

you know, the Dixie chicks meets, you know, you know, the-the rock

and there was all those different things in there

that I love.

I love those tones in your voice.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

I'm making this decision

because I know the other artist has a career

and a chance in the industry.

I know this is what you're born to do.

And I see raw talent and heart in the artist that I'm choosing.

The artist that won this battle...

(TENSE MUSIC)

..is Tiffney.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

I'm so proud of you.

I'm so proud of you.

It's yours, take it.

Thank you.

I love you so much. You deserve it.

Tiffney. I know...I know, you guys are super close.

Yeah. Is that why the tears.

Um, ah. It's just it's-it's so much.

And I think I was content in life

that I was gonna be a mum and, you know,

working in the bank for the rest of my life.

But this is really life changing for me. And those dreams.

Yeah. Might actually happen.

Go, Tiffney.

You are awesome. You smashed it.

You were awesome. I'm proud of you.

Thank you.

Saralyn, in order for you to stay in the competition,

you need a save from the coaches.

Sounds like the audience wants one for you.

You should save her, Ronan.

It's all up to you, bro.

It's all on you.

I definitely want this, Ronan.

I know, I know, but...

Guys, look I'll be in the same position again

in the Knockouts.

I want this more than anything honestly

I've worked so hard and you're the perfect coach for me.

Unfortunately, I have to call it.

That is no save from Ronan there, Saralyn.

Thank you anyway. Thank you, thank you.

Let's make some noise for Saralyn.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE) I'm so sorry.

It's OK!

Not the end of the world for you. Come on.

Next year. Come back please, come back you're amazing.

Thank you. Thank you.

She's got this...she's got this.

She's got a career. Yeah, I get it.

It's really hard only having one save.

Um, you've got to really think about the long game.

All the other artists

that are on the other teams that you...

You're thinking maybe the coach is gonna send them home,

and if so, well, I'll grab them.

I was gonna sit back and wait, and I've got someone else.

I've got my eye on someone else.

Still to come...

Some people walk out here and they step it up in the battles,

and some people, they get blinded by the light.

Decisions are harder than ever.

Sorry, guys, I'm really struggling.

Is Ronan starting to crack?

Just give me a second, 'cause I'm-I'm...

I just...I just...I just need to sort.

I just need to sort something out.

Just give me a minute. Please. Please.

# This is The Voice. #

Ready to hit the stage,

two artists

who are dropping their instruments

and picking up the mic

from team Melanie C,

it's Boriss and Matthias.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

This battle is between

my drummer turned singer Boris

and my rock frontman Matthias.

# Were young... #

Yeah, man!

# When you... #

Matthias was a moment where you could feel the audience.

It was like electric.

You want to play stadiums? I've played stadiums.

# Oh, here she comes

# Watch boy she'll chew you up, oh,

# Here she comes She's a man eater... #

I was blown away that Boriss had no prior singing experience.

He's so musical.

Oh, my god.

For real.

# We're gonna show now... #

The song I've chosen for this battle is 'Creep' by Radiohead

Although this is one of the most covered songs of all time,

I believe they've really got what it takes to make it special.

Mel has paired me with Boris

and I won't lie, it's a bit daunting.

Oh, my god.

Like I'm gonna be singing against him? Are you serious?

He's so amazing.

Being the lead of his band and singing on a stage,

he's had so much experience, so it's very intimidating.

# Can you hear me... #

Coming from no vocal coaching and not a lot of experience.

It would mean a lot to me to win this battle.

This is a pretty vulnerable song.

I think the winner of this battle is gonna come down

to whoever can tap into that emotion the best.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

(SONG PLAYS IN BACKGROUND)

Whoever can bring the power, be the front man,

but still leave me

with the emotion of this song

will win this battle.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

# You were here before

# I could look you in the eyes

# You're just like an angel

# Your skin makes me cry

# You float like a feather

# In the beautiful world

# I wish I was special

# You're so very special

# But I'm a creep

# I'm a weirdo

# What the hell am I doing here?

# I don't belong here

# She's running' out the door

# She's running out

# She run

# Run

# Run

# Run

# Run

# Run

# I'm a creep

# I'm a weirdo

# Oh, what the hell am I doing here?

# Oh, I don't belong

# I don't belong here. #

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Let's hear it for Boriss and Matthias.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Boriss, let's check out your mum in the audience

on our shark fan cam.

Where is she? There she is.

Hello, mother. Hi, mum.

She is a massive supporter.

She is the best supporter ever.

(LAUGHS) Melanie.

What a performance. You were in tears.

Every day that I've heard them sing this song.

It just gets me.

There's just something both of them have independently.

And when they come together, just...

Yeah. It just gives me goosebumps and makes me cry.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE) Thank you.

Kate, what did you think of that performance?

I think for me, if we go for believability.

And who inhabited the song, I truly did believe

that you, Boriss, you were a creep and a weirdo.

I think thank you.

In the best possible way.

Thank you.

But it's possible that, Matthias,

your-your voice has maybe more flexibility

and is better suited to going on in this competition,

but I don't know.

Boriss, there's this...

There's something there that was really drawing me in.

Thank you.

OK, so what you guys lacked in vocal ability

you-you brought in atmosphere.

You know, you were channelling Kurt Cobain.

There was this wonderful, edgy darkness

that I really enjoyed in the performance,

and I forgot, you know, at times when the vocal,

'cause the vocal wasn't on point, both of you.

But it was cool.

It was bloody cool.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE) Yeah.

And we need...we need cool.

Thank you. Thank you.

Melanie, I know this is quite an emotional decision

for you, isn't it?

I can tell just by looking at your face

that you don't want to have to make this decision.

Yeah.

First of all, I just want to say

these are two very beautiful human beings.

You've supported each other.

You've taken everything on board that I asked of you.

Boriss, you are so musically gifted

and when you get lost in that world, you take us with you.

Um, Matty, you're a front man, you know.

You've got so much charisma.

Thank you.

Ah, it's...it's... it's the impossible choice.

It truly is.

(AUDIENCE CHATTER)

The artist I'm gonna take through...

Drumroll, please.

(TENSE MUSIC) (LAUGHTER)

..is...

Matthias.

Good job, mate.

Oh, god.

Thank you.

I'm so proud of you, bro.

Matty, you're through to the knockouts.

Congratulations. Go and give your coach a hug.

Thank you, Melanie.

That was so hard.

Thank you, Melanie.

Thank you very much.

Thank you so much.

See you soon.

Bye, Matty.

Sadly, Boriss, there have been no saves for you.

But what an absolute delight it has been having you on the show.

I think I speak for everybody.

We love you, Boriss. We love you, Boriss.

It's been such a pleasure, guys, thank you so much.

Well done, Boriss.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Boriss, everyone.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

You did such an incredible job.

Thank you. Oh. Thank you.

Thank you so much.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

# Into the final... #

Next...

This battle

is between my emotional singer Cle and Hunter,

my life saving piano man.

# Yeah... #

A powerhouse battle...

One of the artists just stepped it up.

Beyond what I've seen.

..leaves Ronan...

I'm really struggling right now.

..with an impossible decision.

God almighty. What do I do?

# This is The Voice. #

This battle

is between Cle and Hunter.

Hey, dude.

Hunter!

Hello, beautiful.

Good to see you.

Good to see you, mate.

Cle's blind audition

was mesmerising.

How are you?

It was very emotional. It got me big time.

# You know it's not the same... #

She took a song we know well as it was from Harry Styles.

But she sang that like we've never heard it before.

My wife passed away 2.5 years ago.

It was so emotional. It was so beautiful.

Your voice moved me.

But your story, you've got a home at Team Ronan.

Yeah.

Hunter's performance was super raw.

He's right at the beginning of his career.

# Turning circles when time again

# It cuts like a knife for now... #

In my soul I just knew Australia's gonna love this kid.

There is a method to my madness,

you know, in this pairing, in this battle.

Because, you know, you've got heaps of experience.

You know, you've done lots of performances

where you're kind of you're pretty fresh to this.

I think you can both learn from each other.

I'm scared now.

Yeah, same.

I was definitely intimidated

and a little bit shocked

that I am singing

with someone this experienced.

Alright, well, you want to know

what song you're gonna be singing in the battles?

Please.

The song you'll be singing for your battle

is 'Strong' by London Grammar.

Really? Wow.

You know it, Hunter? I do.

Alright. Yeah. Beautiful song.

Stunning.

Oh, I got nervous all of sudden.

Why that big breath?

I don't know. Just feelings.

Yeah. OK.

It's gonna be amazing, guys.

I was a bit scared when I heard the song,

'cause obviously the lyrics

really speak to...

what I'm going through

at the moment.

Um, I just need to be able

to get through it

and harness that emotion.

# I might speak so long

# I've never been so wrong... #

Cle, the words here are really gonna hit home with you.

Yeah.

Will you be able to get through this?

You're gonna be... Yeah.

Yeah. I don't want to I'm a crier. I'm a crier.

I'm a crier, I'm a crier. I'm not crying. You're crying.

I'm gonna cry. Let's just take time to cry.

And I'm fine with crying everywhere.

But I'd rather not cry in the middle of a song.

Oh, yeah, yeah.

That would be a really great if I don't do that.

Well, I think, you know, it's so raw as well.

I've just given you the lyric and you're gonna read it

and it's gonna... it's gonna move you.

The more that you sing it, you'll get more familiar with it

and it'll...it'll...it'll feel more natural to sing automatically.

We both access our vulnerable side,

but I might be a bit better than Cle at harnessing tha

and not letting the emotions take over.

# Yeah, I might seem so strong

# I might speak so long

# I've never been so wrong. #

Hunter, I want you to channel a Chris Martin.

If you take a song like 'Fix You' and the way Chris would sing it.

That-that is a place for you.

Yeah, I agree. Yeah.

Yeah, that's the place for you. That's the way you attack this.

OK.

I think Hunter could do with being more settled.

He looks like a little puppy dog, excited,

and his eyes were darting around the room.

He was moving a lot.

Is that right?

And he was just feeling unsure.

Or should I do the melody?

You could feel it. Feel the energy.

Put your thing on it.

Because at the moment,

you look like you're, you know,

you're singing with a...with a star here,

and you're in awe, right?

I know she's amazing... Yeah.

..but I want you to be amazing...

OK. ..because you deserve it.

And you are So, just step up here and, you know.

Yeah, sure. Show me Hunter.

Cool. OK.

I think I'm really gonna have to step up my game

in terms of confidence and self-belief

to get to this battle stage,

and especially seeing this song with Cle.

If you nail this you're gonna move everyone to tears.

This is gonna be ridiculous. I get goosebumps there, right?

Crazy.

# It makes me stronger... #

What I've realised in life

is that you can't control a whole heap.

So, I'll just control the things

that I can control.

# Makes me stronger... #

Which is my emotion, being present,

singing this the best that I possibly can

and having the most fun

that I possibly can.

To win this battle,

I think I need to find myself in the song

and find my own energy

and channel that kind of Chris Martin tone in my voice,

and really have that self-belief that I can actually do this song

and tackle it well.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

And they came out arm in arm. That was so sweet.

It's gorgeous.

They have a beautiful relationship these two.

It's gorgeous.

# Excuse me for a while

# Well, I'm wide-eyed

# And I'm so damn caught In the middle... #

Yes. Hunter. Yes.

# I excuse you for a while

# I'm wide-eyed

# And I'm so damn caught

# In the middle... #

Oh, yeah.

# And a lion

# A lion roars

# Would you not listen... #

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

# If a child

# A child cries

# Would you not forgive them?

# Yeah, I might seem so strong

# Yeah, I might speak so long

# I've never been so wrong

# I might seem so strong

# I might speak so long

# I've never been so wrong

# Yeah, I might seem so strong

# I might speak so long

# I've never been so wrong

# Yeah, I might seem so strong

# Yeah, I might speak so long

# I've never been so wrong

# I've never been so wrong

# Excuse me for a while

# While I'm wide-eyed

# And I'm so damn caught In the middle. #

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

You're beautiful. You did so good.

You're so gonna get this.

Oh, man.

Cle and Hunter.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Melanie, who would you be taking through

to the knockouts?

It's such a mesmerising performance and super classy.

This, for me, is the battle of tones.

Because I think you're both so different

in that respect.

You both have a very unique tone.

Hunter, it's, like, so warm and just, like, envelopes you.

It's incredible.

And then, Cle, you're just like it's just on the edge, you know?

It's like there's something about that rasp in your voice.

I just think, like, hit you deep in the soul.

And, I mean, I could listen to you both all day long.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

The first thing I noticed is when you guys came out,

you were kind of like, holding each other.

You had your arm, Hunter, you had your arm around Cle.

I felt that touched me.

I thought it was really beautiful thing.

Um, Hunter, I thought you did a really beautiful job.

You've got a beautiful instrument. Tone is beautiful.

And you finished really strong.

And you were such a great partner in that performance.

But, Cle.

Holy shit.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

When you kick into that power gear,

or the higher gear, it's never shrill.

It's never forced. It's effortless.

Everything you do vocally is effortless.

You are a fully formed singer and artist already.

Thanks.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

It's funny, I-I kind of had an idea,

maybe just before this performance, what I was gonna do.

And...

one of the artists just stepped it up

beyond what I've seen from them.

You guys did everything I asked of you.

You know, I said channel Chris Martin, Hunter,

and you did it.

You went there, you started to embody it,

and you believed it.

And then I believed you.

Thank you.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Cle, your enthusiasm, your commitment, your hard work.

You've listened.

You've been a dream to mentor.

Both of you. This team is incredible.

Both of you are wonderful human beings.

And I've loved it.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Oh, god mighty. What do I do?

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Oh, what the hell?

Well, you do have a save left.

Alright. OK, look, I... You know.

The artist that won this battle...

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

..is Cle.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

You're going to the knockouts, Cle.

You won the battle.

I'm so happy. I'm so happy.

I'm so honoured and I'm so happy to be here.

I'm so, so happy.

Let's hear it for Cle.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

My god, you did it!

You did it! You did it! You did it! You did it! You did it!

Well done. Well done.

Hunter.

Unfortunately.

Wow.

The audience are really here for you.

You are in danger of leaving the show right now.

But there is hope

Ronan might use his save to keep you in the competition.

He's the only one with the save left.

Ronan, you need to decide

if you want to take Hunter to the knockouts.

Save, save, save,

save, save, save, save, save, save, save.

I can't. I can't, I can't.

No save? No, save.

Sadly, that means your time on The Voice ends here.

Oh, just, first of all, a big thank you

for the four coaches and especially Ronan.

You meant a lot to me.

And I've come so far in the short time I've been here.

So, thank you so much. And, yeah.

Let's make some noise for Hunter.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Oh, dude, you're a dude, man.

I'll find you. I'll see you around.

Alright, we'll see you. Definitely. See you, man.

I know I made the right decision in choosing Cle for the knockouts

and to stay on Team Ronan.

Yeah, I had a bit of a meltdown. I've been struggling with my save.

Um I'm quite anxious about,

you know, using it at the wrong time.

And I think I've made a mistake sending Hunter home, though.

# This is The Voice. #

Hey, Bella.

Hi, Richard.

How are you? How are you?

This battle is between my never sung

in public before, kid, Bella.

How you been feeling?

Good. Good. Excited?

Very happy to be here. Yeah. Very excited.

I'm very happy you're here too. Thank you.

And a country star in the making, Ethan.

Ethan.

Oh! Hello, Ethan.

Howdy, howdy.

# Walking in Memphis... #

One of the reasons that Ethan impressed so much

in the blinds was because he had a confidence.

He was calm. You didn't hear nerves in him.

I thought, you know what, if I'm gonna use my ultimate block,

it should be now.

No...

I can't believe you did that.

I'm sorry.

# We're alone now

# And now... #

Bella has no idea how good she is.

# You know I love you

# In a place

# Where there's no space or time

# I love you for my life... #

Have you done much live performing before?

Ah, this is my first time.

Oh, my god.

She owned that song

in a way that I couldn't believe she could own it.

Alright, you guys, you ready for the big reveal

of the song I chose for you?

One of my favourite songs, 'The Door' by Teddy Swims.

Oh, nice.

Do you know that song?

I'm familiar with it.

OK. That didn't sound very confident.

This song is not really my style at all.

It's definitely out of my comfort zone.

# You sold me lies Just by the way you look

# Taught me a language That I'll never speak

# Baby, that ain't for me

# That ain't for me...

# I dug my grave Watching the way you move

# You took me higher Than I ever flew... #

I kind of hear you in your first verse.

Kind of making it your own, which is really nice.

I need you to do that.

So, like, even when it comes to...

# You took me higher Than I ever flew... #

You can do all kinds of stuff like that.

Yep.

Just don't be...

You don't have to be faithful to the melody.

Mm-hm. OK. OK. Take chances.

I think I felt a little under fire for sure.

Ethan was really making the lyrics that he had quite exciting.

I'm someone who doesn't perform

in front of other people.

Of course, you're gonna have a bit of imposter syndrome.

Can you get up there?

# Thought I would die For you, baby. #

Even if... even if it's a little shreddy.

(HUMMING)

# Thought I would... #

Oh, I mean. Oops.

It's OK. It's high, it's high for me too.

# I thought I would die For you, baby... #

Ethan wouldn't pick this song.

I'm sure he doesn't sing songs like this.

I'm pushing him to the top of his range,

but I think he's gonna find his way of making it work.

So, what I would suggest. Lyric is so important.

I tell everybody this.

I want you to live it, breathe it, eat it, sleep it,

so, that you're not even thinking

about anything except convincing the listener

that you wrote this song, that this is about you.

OK?

I want you to work on the technical stuff now,

so, that when you get up there and we do this battle together,

you own it.

# Nowhere to hide Nowhere to run... #

I think we'll be working our backsides off,

hitting some of those higher notes,

but I am not ready to go back to Warragul just yet.

As much as I love it and its home,

nah, I'm not ready to go pick up the tools again just yet.

I'm enjoying this experience too much.

I think this battle is going to be extremely tough.

I like to think I have confidence singing in front of people,

but there's that pressure and that expectation,

and that confidence starts to leave a little bit.

I'm hoping that I somehow find a way to hold my own in the song.

This is gonna be a tough battle,

but the winner is gonna be the one who somehow convinces me

that they wrote this song.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Hey, Ronan.

Are you feeling the pressure

being the only coach with a save left?

Yeah. I feel... I'm feeling a big responsibility.

# I took a page out

# Of your favourite book... #

Nice.

# You sold me lies Just by the way you look

# Taught me a language That I'd never speak

# Baby, that ain't for me That, that ain't for me... #

# I dug my grave Watching the way you move

# You took me higher Than I ever flew, ooh

# Done picking the pieces Of my soul up off the floor

# Oh, oh

# I said I would die for you, baby

# But I can't take this pain no more

# I thought I was willing

# But tonight, I saved my life When I showed you the door

# You never thought This day would ever come

# But I looked you in the eyes And pulled the rug

# You tried to take away My sanity, baby

# That ain't for me That, that ain't for me

# Oh, no more thinking About you late night

# No more running around With your friends now

# Done picking the pieces Of my soul from out the floor

# Oh, oh

# I said I would die for you, baby

# But I can't take This pain no more... #

Yeah!

# I thought I was willing

# But tonight I saved my life

# When I showed you the door

# I don't wanna lose you, baby

# Don't want to lose you

# I can't play this game no more

# I thought I was willing

# But tonight I saved my life When I showed you the door. #

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Ethan and Bella.

I remember both of your blind auditions

so vividly.

And they were extraordinary.

You're both incredible singers, performers, artists.

I was flip flopping in that performance

'cause I-I felt as you came out,

Bella, I could... I could feel the nerves,

you know, which is, of course, you're nervous.

You know, this is huge.

Ethan, I felt a bit more comfortable, you know?

I-I felt like, you know, you got this.

But then there's something about Bella's voice.

It's like...

it's actually quite scary what you could achieve.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

And, Ethan, I love you. I love your voice.

But for me, I-I want to see more of Bella at this point.

Thank you, Mel. That's really sweet. Thank you.

You're both better than what we just saw.

I turned for both of you in the...in the blinds,

and I... honestly, I love you both individually.

You're so good.

Ethan, I think you were rushing a little bit.

You know, you were racing ahead and. Look, it happens.

The adrenaline's going. The lights, the cameras.

It's, you know, you're on The Voice train.

It's hard to stop.

Um, Bella, you've got a hell of a tone.

Great voice.

I just...

Some people walk out here and they step it up in the battles.

And some people, they get blinded by the lights.

But for me, I think Ethan won the battle.

Yeah.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

OK, I'm gonna say it right now.

Two things. Ronan's right.

That was not the best performance of that song

that I've heard from you two.

I feel like I failed you a little bit in my excitement

about doing this song with the two of you

to challenge both of you.

In that decision, I might have done you both a disservice.

So, that's on me.

However, I have to choose a winner based upon this performance.

Here's the other thing. Bella's inexperience.

She'd never sung in front of anybody before this show

That's crazy.

It's insane.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Ethan, me telling you I love your mid-range,

but you're gonna have to belt this, man.

You're gonna have to, like, get to the top of your range.

And you did that. You delivered it.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

That said, it makes this really tricky for me

because I have plans for both of you.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Argh.

The winner of this battle for me...

(TENSE MUSIC)

..was Bella.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Congratulations, Bella. You look shocked.

Wow, I mean.

Come on.

Thank you. Thank you so much.

I definitely was not expecting that.

You earned it. You really worked hard.

I'm really proud of you. Well done.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Thank you so much.

Congratulations.

Thank you. Thank you so much.

Ronan, you still have the chance to save Ethan

if you are willing to use your save button.

Save him, save him, save him, save him, save him.

Press the button, Ronan.

Save, save, save, save,

save, save, save, save, save, save, save.

I can't, I can't.

I can't.

No save. I'm so sorry.

I'm just grateful to be here and give it my best.

And it's not gonna stop me from doing what I do.

I just keep going out there and...

Absolutely.

Grinding away.

Just put your hands together, everybody for Ethan.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

I meant every word, buddy.

Ethan.

Bullshit.

Wow. The drama keeps building in here.

Stay tuned. Because there are...

I'm sorry, guys, I'm-I'm really struggling.

I...

I... There's an artist that I cannot get out of my head.

I feel like, well, look, guys, just give me a sec,

'cause I'm... I just...I just... I just need to sort.

Oh, what are you up to?

I just need to sort something out.

Just give me a minute. Please. Please.

Do you know what's going on?

No clue.

I want to find somebody.

# This is The Voice. #

I'm sorry, guys,

I'm-I'm really struggling.

I...

There's an artist

that I cannot get out of my head.

I feel like, well, look, guys,

just give me a sec,

'cause I'm-I'm...

Wait, wait, wait, wait.

Where are you going?

Oh, what are you up to? Where are you going?

I just need to sort something out.

Just give me a minute, please. Please.

I want to find somebody.

Who are you trying to find?

Currently doing a voxy in cage.

So, we're getting him here. OK.

Do you know what's going on?

No clue.

What's he... What's he playing at here?

Do you know what's going on? I have no idea.

Oh, man.

Just gonna have a quick chat with him.

Sure. With Ronan.

Oh, there he is.

Hey, mate. Hey.

How are you? Sorry to call you back.

Oh, that's alright. Just something we need to pick up.

Um, if you've got a minute, do you mind just joining us back?

Yeah, sure.

Come on. Thanks. Oh. Sorry, bro.

It's OK.

What is happening?

Sorry, guys. He's coming back, he's coming back.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Hello?

Sorry about that.

I've thrown everything out of whack here. My fault.

And I'm in big trouble with everybody,

including the coaches.

Um, look...

we've got ten seconds to make decisions.

It's incredible, you know the pressure.

You...you... you put your team together,

you want to have the right team,

and then you're looking at saves and you're trying to...

And great people go home.

But that's the game. And that's the way it works.

But for me...

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

I made a big mistake. I can't let him go home.

I can't let him go home.

Is this like a retrospective save?

Yeah, it's allowed.

It's in the small details, it's in the small print.

I can do it.

That's legal?

It is now. It is now, yeah.

OK. I'm all for it. I love Hunter.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Alright, man.

You deserve it. You deserve it. I made a mistake.

Thank you. I made a mistake.

Thank you. I made a mistake.

I'd love to just make it up as you go.

Well, you know.

You're-you're incredible. I-I totally get it.

Is it cheating?

Technically not cheating.

Well, how-how? No.

Well, I mean...

I hadn't used my save. It's still my save.

OK, first of all, what are you thinking?

Is this allowed? Like?

Apparently. It is now.

I have a phrase. I have a phrase.

Ask for forgiveness, not permission.

Thank you. Yes.

So, I'll get in trouble for this afterwards.

But don't worry about it.

You're on Team Ronan, that's all that matters.

Thank you.

I like it.

(APPLAUSE)

You know what?

You never know what you're gonna get on the show,

but particularly with Ronan.

Yeah. Sorry.

But I think good call.

Yeah. Thank you. Great call. Well made.

Thank you. Thank you.

Well. Congratulations, Hunter. You are now, on Team Ronan.

Congratulations.

We'll see you at the knockouts.

Well done, mate. Well done.

Come here, come here. Well done, mate.

Good on you, go have a surf.

(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

Whoo.

Well, there you have it.

So much drama tonight. And the battles aren't over yet.

With one final night ahead the stakes couldn't be higher.

There are now, no saves left.

So, the artists have only one chance to prove they have what it takes.

Who will claim the remaining spots in the knockouts?

Find out next time right here on The Voice Australia.
