Original subtitles

Yeah, everything he thought about the formula is true, boss.

Okay, Jackson.

What did you find out?

Well, it works on plants. They're planning an experiment on an arrival

All right.

Just as I suspected.

That's good to know.

Okay. You know what to do.

Get Billy.

and is meant to bring me the formula, and bring it back to me.

Will do.

Once I get the formula, I will be in control of the world's food production.

Think of the power I will have! Ha!

Every nation on Earth will bow to my will.

I'm making a bow for you.

Looks good on you. Do you like it?

Now I have to think of a name for you.

Should I call you Blackie? Not good.

It's too common.

Fluffy.

No way.

It's not like you.

How's Charlie?

That's not good. Makes you sound like a boy.

Hey, I know. I'll call you Monslet.

Do you like that?

I have to go eat. You stay here, okay?

Don't run away now. I'll be right back.

Hey, Ting. Eat your dinner. What's on your mind?

Mom, I'm not hungry.

Well, just finish what you have in the bowl.

She's not hungry. Just let her be.

You know you're spoiling her.

Mom, I'm going to do my homework.

What are you hiding?

Nothing.

All right, go.

That girl.

I know something's up. What do you think?

I'm worried about her.

You worry too much.

Eat your food.

There you are.

Look here. I got some quail eggs for you to eat for your dinner.

Now, don't eat too much, okay?

Hurry up. When you're finished, we can play.

Well, go ahead.

Hey, Ting.

Who are you talking to?

Nobody, Ma.

Nobody. What's in the bucket?

Nothing.

There's nothing.

That's the truth.

I'm not lying.

Okay, let's see.

Why don't you believe me? Stop it. Just let me look.

No, Mom. Don't look.

Tony!

Come quick. Tony!

What's the matter?

Tingting. Tingting. She has a snake.

Really now, so you're scared of this? It's just a toy snake.

Pa, Mama's scared by a fake snake.

What a coward.

Just laugh, you two.

Dr. Lye, it's working.

Your new formula.

It successfully worked on plan.

I knew it would.

Can we increase the power?

I think so.

According to my theory, if you increase the voltage applied...

The price of the intended subject should also increase.

Hmm.

Dr. T, forget about the plan.

Proceed with Thunder Project.

Yes, sir.

What Thunder Project?

It's a national secret.

I have a right to know.

I'm a scientist.

General, you're not thinking of testing on animals, are you?

Mm -hmm.

I object.

You have no say now.

Then I want my formula back.

That's not possible.

You have no more right.

The formula was designed to help mankind.

Not for biological warfare.

Dr. T, continue with the project.

Yes.

You will be awarded a medal. I want accepted.

General!

You should have told me earlier.

Doctor, I'm sorry.

I... Dr. Lai don't be like this I

Want out

Are you about finished with it? Yeah, just about.

Good.

Johnny, here's a frog.

Oh, thanks. Okay.

Miss Chang, we're going to start now. All right.

Dr. T.

Why is it, Miss Lynn?

This is the Planet Experiment Report.

The formula can stimulate growth up to 300 times.

Let's see.

To all our years of hard work have not been wasted.

It's too bad that Dr. Lee is not here with us.

He would have been here to see it.

Hopefully we are doing the right thing. I'm quite sure we are.

I don't know how the army is going to use the formula when it's finished, I'm

afraid. Dr. T, I'm sure everything will work out fine.

It's designed to help mankind.

Even the army must know that, I'm sure.

I hope our experiment will be successful today, don't you?

Yes, I do.

Dr. T, we're all ready now.

Dr. T, if we increase its size by 300 times...

I wonder what it'll look like.

We know that the formula works with plants, but animals' immune system is

stronger. We've thought of that, and we've changed the formula accordingly.

The new formula should have no problem.

You can go ahead and feed the information into the computer, and we'll

right away.

It's already programmed.

Dr. T, we can proceed as soon as you like.

All right. Well, team, let's get started, then.

Miss Lynn, please put the frog in the chamber right away.

All right.

I'd rather vote it. Okay.

Dr. T, it worked. It's perfect.

The new formula really works.

Look at that. It's incredible.

Dr. T, we've succeeded.

It's just amazing.

I never dreamed.

Where's the new formula?

The molecular system is not harmed at all, or it shouldn't be.

Only the immune system of the frog would be neutralized.

Of course, there are lots of tests that are still to be made. It's really true.

Doctor, it's wonderful.

Oh,

there's the closed facility.

Somebody's got in here. We'd better get out of here. Dr.

T, what do we do about this formula?

Now, you take the box with the formula and get out of here. Now, you get rid of

the frog right away.

Okay. Now, I want you to get rid of all the related information and burn it

quickly. All right.

We'd better hurry. Come on.

Come on, hurry!

This

way,

quickly!

She can't get away.

Dr. T!

Don't kill her.

She also works for Sol.

Dr. T!

What do we do now?

Solomon's gonna kill us. Don't worry.

The box can take the heat. Come on, let's look. Right.

Listen, Billy, I gave you this assignment because I heard you were the

the field.

Don't disappoint me.

Get that formula back to me now.

Useless son of a bitch.

What happened, boss? He screwed up?

Brilliant deduction, Sherlock.

He lost the fucking formula. Now no one knows where it is.

The government's looking for it, too.

So what's he gonna do?

He's not sure yet.

But I gave him a little incentive.

The formula or his life.

Maybe we should go get it ourselves.

No! It's too risky right now.

Let's see what Billy comes up with.

Shut up. Shut up. What's so funny?

Hmm. I'm first.

He's second. You're the worst because you're a girl.

You're third.

But I fell, so it doesn't count.

That's what you think. You're just not as good as us. What do you think of

Yeah, I agree.

No, that's unfair. Let's start again.

You want to race again? All right, tomorrow.

Let's go.

We're going to the clubhouse. Hey, wait for me. I want to see what your

clubhouse looks like.

No way. You can't come. You're just a girl. That's all. Come on. Yeah.

No girls allowed.

You're going to regret that someday.

exchange box.

I know.

It'll make a nice view home for Moslem.

She'll recover. Right.

Colonel Fan.

Sir.

You deal with the press.

I don't want anyone to bother her.

Also close off the lab as well as the area of the accident.

Yes, sir.

I believe they've informed you of my coming.

And it's a good thing, too.

You're just in time.

We're in real trouble.

Now about the terrorist group.

I know the head man is Solomon, but that's about it.

Do you have anything else on him or his group?

Not at all.

Oh, well.

I'll see what I can come up with.

Mosler, this is the new house that I found for you. You have to stay here

now on. Do you like it?

Mosler, you have to go to sleep now. I've got to do my homework.

Hey, look at these little lights.

I'll turn them on for you. Shall I do that?

Stay away!

Stay away!

Go away!

Go away!

Are you Mazla?

Are you really Mazla?

How'd you get so big?

Mazla. If you don't know, then I don't know either.

You're so big now.

What am I going to do with you?

Mazla.

Don't bite me, okay?

The way you are now, I can never keep you in here.

Where should I put you then?

Mazla, behave yourself now.

Hey, Dean, what's all the racket?

Oh, nothing.

My books fell off the bookcase, that's all. I'm picking them up right now.

But don't stay up too late now.

I won't, Mom.

Shh. Marcia, don't move around so much.

If Mom finds out, then we're both finished.

You must obey me, otherwise I'll have to let you go.

That's good.

So you have to stay here for a while.

Mosler, I know that you really don't want to stay here, but this is really

safest place for you now.

Please? You must believe me, Mosler. Hey, listen, Mosler, I'll find a new

for you. But before I do, you have to stay here. Don't worry, I'll take good

care of you.

I'm Inspector Xiao of the city police.

So, why won't you guys let us in the lab?

This is a secure location.

Strictly military.

No unauthorized personnel are allowed. So, good day, Inspector Xiao.

This formula means infinite power.

I must have it.

Yes. Then people will start listening to us.

Yes.

Think of the possibilities.

All of the underdeveloped countries will beg me for help.

I can even have my own army.

Boss, they sent a special agent to deal with us.

Who the hell is the guy?

His name is Ted Fast.

He's a highly trained specialist.

And he always works alone.

He must be pretty good then.

I don't want him to mess up our plans.

Go take care of him.

Right.

But you fell down, didn't you? So you're last.

So what?

Larry, let's go.

Mosler, was it you who helped me before?

Mosler, you're wonderful.

They're so losers. And so I'm not going to play with them anymore. I'll play

with you instead, all right?

I bet you're hungry.

I'm going to catch you some fish. I bet you like to eat fish, don't you?

I'm going to get you more. Then you can have a mattress made of grass.

It'll be real nice and soft. I bet she'd like that.

Martha, do you like fish?

Good.

Then I'll get more for you.

Come on.

Come on.

Let's play.

Bounce the ball back to me, okay?

again. Oh!

What'd you do that for? You're hitting too hard. I couldn't catch it.

Now, Slug, let's go play hide and seek. If you find me, I'll get you some food,

all right?

food for you.

Touch this one, huh?

Monster, was it good?

All right, let's start our game again, okay?

I'm telling you, that snake must be connected with the formula somehow.

So then we'll be happy to hear about your find.

That girl probably has the formula.

We must get it.

That's the guy.

So let's get him.

Did they get the formula?

I'm not sure.

I can only remember that I threw the box out of the window before the car went

off the cliff.

I remember I put the formula inside the box.

You should take some men and go over there now and search the area.

I'm sure that the box is still out there somewhere. Find it before they do.

Colonel Fan. Yes, sir.

Your squad searched the entire area. You didn't find anything at all?

No, sir.

General, we left no stone in that area unturned, but still we found nothing.

That formula is too important.

We must not allow the terrorists to get their hands on it.

In the wrong hands, I don't even want to think what the result would be.

Colonel Fan. Sir.

Search the area once again.

Also see if you can dig up any information on the terrorist.

Then let Ted know.

Yes, sir. Keep looking.

Yes, sir.

Got it, Dan? Yes, sir.

Have you found the girl yet?

Not yet.

Oh, yeah.

We saw the army searching the area today.

I'm sure they don't have the formula either.

He's right.

Interesting. Then the girl must have it. I'm sure of it. The army closed off the

area today.

And then they went and searched it again.

I think they probably don't know any more than we do.

They're trusting their luck shooting in the dark.

Now listen, Danny.

Solomon's really anxious to get this formula for himself.

So we better fight quick.

He's off to me now.

And I don't like that.

And we have to find Lynn.

Double -crosser.

Solomon wants her.

What's up?

Any news?

None. I've checked every hospital in the city.

There's no patient.

From the lab at all.

It's real strange.

A cover -up.

I don't think the army would let them use their own names.

Try a different approach.

Lynn, don't forget the deal we made.

I helped you when you needed me.

I put you through school, now you're working in lab 707.

When that formula K -19 is ready, you must get it for me.

Luckily, I didn't give the formula to them.

Because otherwise...

With Solomon and his gang in control of it, then the world would...

Hello?

Yeah, I'm Shao.

Bruce Tang, where the hell are you?

At Central Hospital.

I've located one of the wounded suspects from the lab.

Checked in at 2 p .m. on that day.

Under the false name of Helen Chin, her real name is Lynn.

I'm quite sure she's from the lab.

Yes, I'm positive. I'm coming.

Wait for me.

I'm Inspector Shell.

Miss Lynn, I want to ask you just a few questions.

What was going on in lab 707?

And what took place three days ago?

What's lab 707?

Miss Lynn, you don't have to act.

We already know the truth.

I'm sorry.

I've got no idea what you're talking about. I think you're talking to the

person here.

Miss Lynn.

Please. I just had a car accident.

I'm very tired. Please leave me alone.

Are we troubling you?

Yes, you are.

I'm very weak.

And I need some rest.

Would you leave, please?

Mithlin, all we want is to... Are you leaving here or not? Tell me.

If not, I'm ringing the bell right now. All right.

We're leaving.

Come on.

Let's go.

Are you going to let her get away with it?

She'll confess later on.

Listen, you keep an eye on her.

Right.

Thong, go and see if you can find Lynn.

How dare she double -cross me?

She probably knows where the formula is.

Go and check it out.

Thoughts? That Ted guy killed Peter.

Shit, he is good then.

He's gonna be a real problem for us.

Get the men together and finish him off. Will do, boss.

Now, Solomon is the head of this terrorist group. I've already told Ted

with him, but he might need some help. General, we'll do our best to help him.

Colonel Phan. Sir.

Ted is most effective when he works alone. In that case, I can only help him

giving him information.

The rest is up to him, then.

Hmm.

Oh, Lynn has gotten out?

She's just getting ready to leave.

Keep watching her.

Ted's coming!

Thank you.

Can't fall. So, Lynn, you still remember me?

Of course.

That's real good.

Solomon wants the formula now.

But you see, when Billy attacked the lab, then the formula was in my hands.

the car went off the cliff, and I went into hospital. The formula has been

How dare you?

You can't fool me.

Nor Solomon.

You drove off that cliff to throw Billy off the track.

It was brilliant.

But you can't fool me.

Please, I'm telling the truth.

Honestly, I am. I really did lose the formula. In fact, I just went to look

it myself. Solomon is losing his patience.

Better just hand over the formula now.

But I don't have the formula. I swear to you, I don't have it.

You know well how Solomon gets when he's mad, don't you?

You better think it over or you'll regret it. Where the hell's the formula?

Are you going to cooperate?

I swear I don't have it.

All right.

You can explain it to Solomon yourself.

And as I'm quite sure, he's just dying to see you.

Take her back to Sala.

get Miss Lynn out of here.

Well, what about you?

Don't you worry.

Go on. All right. I'll get some backup. Miss Lynn, let's go.

Inspector, thank you for saving my life.

I was just doing my duty.

Bong was a professional killer.

He used to work for the terrorists.

What's your connection with him?

He... The terrorists are really merciless, you know.

How did you get involved with them? Well... I couldn't help it.

Why's that?

Five years ago, when I was in Harvard University...

My mother died in an accident.

And my father had a stroke.

So suddenly, I was in need of money.

And this Solomon helped me. I didn't know he was head of the terrorists then.

When Dr.

Lee asked me to help him with his new project, Solomon showed his real face to

me. He threatened me and made me cooperate with him. It was terrible. It

was.

What project?

Dr. Lye invented a formula that can increase the size of plants and animals.

300 up to 1 ,000 times their normal size.

It was designed to help mankind.

Now I see.

No wonder the army is keeping me out.

And the terrorists are after it, too.

Miss Lynn, you're in grave danger.

But I'll try my best to help you.

So you haven't noticed the box around?

No, sir, I haven't.

Mr. Tang, this box belongs to the government.

It's very important to the country and to the whole world.

If you happen to find it, inform us, won't you?

This is my card.

Glad to see you, General. It's been a while.

Mr. Tang, the box is important to the police, too.

So if you do happen to find it, telephone me.

Like I said before...

This matter is strictly a military affair.

It has nothing to do with the police force.

Dr.

T, the head of the lab, has been killed.

This formula of yours is missing.

The whole thing is tied in with the terrorists.

Murder, robbery, and destruction.

Public danger.

So how can you say it's got nothing to do with the police force?

You did your homework.

Just wonder where you got your information from After all

it's classified You can't keep anything from me

I have my sources of information General I Think we

should combine our forces.

No, I don't think so.

You just stop being a smartass Or you'll be sorry

What's going on?

I'm not so sure.

They must be talking about the box I found. I'll have to get rid of it

Where's Ting?

Why isn't she eating breakfast?

Probably in her room.

I'll get her.

Said I know Lynn's giving you a lot of information. So how about giving it all

friend a hand?

dead You're an agent working for the government Being an inspector.

I gotta give you all the help that you need Hey, don't sound too enthusiastic.

I want to get them as bad as you do.

I Tell you what, I'll share my information a deal.

All right hit the deal Good

Stop the car. Stop.

That's the girl I saw with the snake the other day. Look.

She's got a box in her hand.

That's right.

It must be the one we're looking for. Go get it.

It's an empty box. Where's the formula?

If that's the box we're looking for, the formula should be inside it. The

formula is probably with the girl.

Find her.

Hey, Billy, what about that gigantic snake that's always with her, huh?

Ting Ting, breakfast ready.

Ting Ting?

Ting Ting?

Strange. I wonder where she can be.

Ting Ting?

Ting Ting?

Ting Ting?

Ting Ting?

Strange. That girl's been acting weird lately.

Huh? Why's the shit door open?

Ting -ting!

Where is she?

Ting -ting!

monster. Pa, he's my friend. He doesn't mean any harm. He's my pet.

Come here, Ting.

Oh, Pa, I promise you won't hit him. Ting, how can he be your pet?

He's been my pet for a long time now. His name is Mosler.

Ting Ting, you don't know what you're doing. Get away.

Trespassing I won't be long.

I Just want you to give me that formula back.

I Have no idea what you're talking about.

Oh really?

Go grab the girl now

So what do we do now, huh? Give me the radio. Right.

Shit.

Boss, this is Billy. I've got something urgent to report to you.

Yeah?

Well, boss, we've just seen that snake just now.

Yeah? Did you get rid of that fucking snake yet?

There's a problem.

Oh, yeah?

The snake's changed.

It's even bigger now.

So I think it's best if you send out the plane. Over.

The snake has turned into a monster. What are we supposed to do now?

Electricity can't even stop that thing. What now?

The plane will take care of it.

We'll wait and see.

We've got to get that girl no matter what.

Just wait for your chance.

Ollie, Mellon. Start the car. Right there.

Your target is at 11 o 'clock sharp.

Get that fucking thing for him.

Give me the formula.

I don't know anything about your formula.

We saw your daughter throw away a box.

The formula must be with you.

Otherwise, where'd the snake come from?

Hand it over now.

Or else.

Really? Really? I'm telling the truth.

I don't even know what a formula is.

Stop playing games.

What are you doing?

I'm going to count to three.

And then I'll kill you.

Unless you cough it up.

Don't shoot him. We don't have...

I've got to call the police.

Hey, come on. Get in.

I'll call the cops. We should split up.

We'll meet at the Starlight Building later on, all right?

What's that?

The terrorists have got the girl.

All right.

Thanks, Ted.

I'll see what I can do.

And thanks for the information.

who attacked the military lab.

They surfaced. Oh?

They kidnapped a girl who's related to the case.

Notify all units.

And we can set up some roadblocks to stop them.

This time we're gonna get them. Yes, sir.

I have no idea, baby doll.

Get out!

Turn around.

Put your hands on the car.

Three men and a girl, just like they said. I suppose these guys must be the

terrorists that we're looking for, right?

We're not terrorists. You're under arrest.

Move it!

Daddy! Daddy!

Daddy! Get in the car!

Move! Officer, you're making a terrible mistake here.

Hey, Seth, do you think they'll get away? I hope not.

I don't think so.

Behind you, look.

This is Ted.

You better call out your army fast.

The snake is headed your way.

Huh?

Hmm.

All right, I'll do it.

Good. You better call out fast.

Mosler! Come save me! Hey, save your breath.

It can't hear you.

have to go and see your mother? She's so hard to get along with, I can't stand

it. Come on, honey. Come on, dear. You make her sound just like a monster.

Teach you to row at the lake.

All right.

Good.

Know how to swim?

No, I don't. But you teach me, okay? No problem. I'm an expert.

Sure you are.

Why haven't you notified the rail service?

But we have.

Those innocent lives.

What should we do?

We should have told the Air Force sooner.

Maybe this tragedy could have been avoided.

Colonel Phan. Sir.

I want that serpent destroyed.

You got that?

Yes, sir.

Station NGK reporting.

Yesterday a giant snake appeared at the dam bridge causing an unprecedented

disaster. The snake broke the bridge and ruptured the dam.

A train crossing the bridge fell into the river.

Downstream losses have been heavy.

Precise figures on loss of life and property are impossible to estimate.

Inspector, the snake was washed away in the flood.

But I think that it can survive extremely well in the water.

Miss Lynn.

Only the army can deal with the snake now.

Hopefully, they can put away the snake quickly.

I want to know where Solomon is. I told you.

No one knows where his exact location is.

He keeps moving.

But if you can locate Billy, he probably knows where Solomon is. And one more

thing, the girl, well, she is with him. And she has the formula.

All right now, General.

We've closed this area in case the snake shows up again, and I'm sure he will.

We must find a way to destroy it.

Yes, sir.

All our forces have been called out now.

But first, we have to evacuate everybody from the city immediately.

I don't want to see any more innocent people die.

Otherwise, how am I going to face my superiors?

I've started the evacuation.

People are moving to the north now.

But there's a shortage of food and clean drinking water.

Notify the troops.

Half rations until further notice.

Half water tanks on the evacuation route.

We're in this together. And it's up to the army to set a good example.

Or else we'll have chaos.

I wonder if the snake is dead. If he is, then there's no threat.

Even if he is dead, we have to find the body.

Will do, sir.

And?

If the snake is not dead, then send out submarines and any other material

necessary to destroy it. Yes, sir.

Waiting for the boss?

I'm waiting for the boss, too.

Fuck off. Who the hell are you?

Fast. Ted Fast.

You heard of me.

I know who you are, Jackson.

Hey! Hey!

You'll have me fined, Solomon.

It won't be able to hear you.

Nor will anybody else.

You'll be sorry when Mosley gets here.

And in the West District.

All right.

Then we'll destroy it.

Evacuate everybody from this district.

Tell the gas company to shut down their valves at once and notify the electric

company too. We must hurry.

And the airport must be called out. That snake must be destroyed. No other way.

The giant serpent has entered the West District causing havoc and destruction

everywhere. The government has declared a state of emergency and evacuation is

taking place.

Anyone who is still in the area is urged to move out immediately.

Special transport is being arranged for the sick and ill.

It can't get here the army's gonna blow it to pieces. I'm sure of that But I'll

let you go If you give me the formula, I wouldn't tell you even if I did know

where it is.

I Have ways of making you tell me where it is now

I didn't expect it to be moving so fast.

at the starlight building at the satellite all right i'll go there

starlight

bruce i'm going out for a while you go over to the military command center and

you make sure that they don't start firing if there's any people around got

yes

We must destroy it at once.

The damn snake's here now.

Ocean, come and save me.

Scream again and I'm going to kill you.

Colonel Penn.

Sir. Call up the Air Force.

Tell them to send up their planes. Yes, sir.

I guess you don't want to live after all.

Don't kill me. Don't kill me.

I'll let you go then.

If you tell me where the hell a formula is. But...

General, the commander is here.

Commander, there.

Right.

I think that now is the best time to attack.

Is there anyone in the building?

There shouldn't be.

All right. You heard.

Order the attack.

Yes, sir.

I'll count to three.

If you don't talk, I'll kill you. But I really don't have any formula.

No. No, please don't.

I don't have any formula.

What?

Mom!

What's the matter?

Captain Lee, tell the fighters to take off and do it right now.

You better talk, because I'm losing my patience.

Thought you were smart, attacking from the back.

Well, you lose.

The fighters should be in the air now.

I'm gonna die when the bombings start.

General, there's a little girl in that building, along with Inspector Hsiao.

What's that? Right now?

Please, you have to save my daughter, please. It's too late. The fighters have

taken off.

Oh, God, my daughter's in that building.

Yes, and the inspector is in there as well.

General, can you tell the Air Force to hold out for a while?

No way. We can't wait.

The opportunity's too good.

If the snake gets down, it'll be much worse.

Yes.

But if the fighters start their attack, then what'll happen to the people

inside? You can't...

Hey now, you did well.

You saved my life.

Now we gotta get out of here.

Better use the stairs. Come on.

is too dangerous. Come on.

Come on, we gotta get out of here.

Forget it.

It's dead now.

Muscle is dead.

over now. You're lying.

You're lying.

It's all your fault. All your fault. Why did you order the plane to kill him?

Little girl, he was dangerous. Don't you understand?

Boy, did you know that.

If only you had trusted us.

I hope you've learned a good lesson.

Too late for that now.

Your words are useless.

General, what should we do about the Thunder Project then, sir?

Let's not think about that for now.

for the innocent lives.

on today, huh, Solomon?

Who the hell are you?

Ted Fast?

The one and only.

I hope I didn't mess up your plans today.

Now drop the gun.

Drop the gun, Solomon!

Go on, shoot.

Make my take, punk.

Looks like a stalemate.

There.

I don't need weapons against you, Solomon.

I...

Hang

it up! Yeah.
