He was amazing.

uh, but there's a very real possibility

he could be starting quarterback there.

Now, I-I don't need to tell you how huge

of an opportunity that is,

and we need to do everything we can

to keep him focused, on track,

free of distractions.

This scene, it was a fun one to film.

It was one of those where I was like...

"Am I really about to call her 'Cheer'?"

But it... it lands, I hope,

it made a pretty funny meme on the Internet

and that was just a cool piece of, like, movie magic,

to have the makeup artist

kinda start with the hickey being so apparent

in the beginning of the film,

symbolizing him as a player,

to then meeting Dallas

and drifting out of his player ways.

This scene with me running into the car

was actually not as painful as you would think.

They had the pickups of me

kinda getting closer and hitting the car,

and what you see falling off

is a fake mirror that shatters on its own,

so we had to reload a few of those on standby.

make up for my clumsy brother.

On the day that we were rehearsing with Jeffrey,

this was-- it was the same rhythm,

same tempo, but it was a completely different song,

so we didn't know what it was until the film came out.

I've been working on my audition all summer.

I was so nervous for this scene

because it meant a lot to Dallas,

but it also meant a lot to me.

Jeffrey Mortensen, choreographer,

we made sure the dance connected to me personally, as well,

and that move in particular

was actually inspired by, like, hula.

Um, growing up in Hawaii, we just brought it into that,

and that was my own ode to home.
