[Legend of Xianwu]

[Adapted from "Xianwu Dizun" by Liu Jie San Dao]

[Episode 49] [Ghost of Pills Reborn]

[Previously...] This place

is called Wanshu Hall.

You can choose one of the secret arts to learn.

Your training progress will also improve significantly.

One sword turns into 10,000 swords.

Ten Thousand Swords!

What the heart wants,

the swords will go for it.

Ye Chen.

I didn't expect you to have the guts to come back.

If you are stronger than me one day,

I will marry you.

(Right now,)

(you only have three months left to live.)

You only have three months left to live?

It was caused by the forbidden technique?

That is the reason why I'm asking

if there's a pill that extends one's life.

The method to refine this pill is on the verge of extinction.

You can't find it in the market.

I don't

have it here either.

You might find it in this place.

A long time ago, the Pill Master was devoted to alchemy.

After he achieved enlightenment,

he built the City of Pill,

which attracted alchemists from all over the world.

Later, the Pill Master noted down all his knowledge

of alchemy into a book

known as

the Book of Pills.

I'm sure the Book of Pills located in the City of Pill

has a record of a pill that extends one's life.

So there's still hope.

You can't read the book

as you wish.

The City of Pill holds a Pill Competition regularly.

Anyone can participate in it regardless of their background.

The person who wins the competition

will be given access

to the Book of Pills.

You're very lucky.

The Pill Competition will begin in a few days.

You can follow me and participate in the competition.

Even if you don't get first place,

you might find some useful pills in the City of Pill.

Let's see where this leads.

In that case,

thank you, Elder Xu.

Elder Xu.

What is it?

Since I'm participating in the competition,

you should teach me

everything you know in your life,

including two-line and three-line pills.

Go away.

How is the Perfect Tianji Pill

coming along?

I've found a way to fix it.

How long will it take?

I finally got my hands on the Tianji Pill.

Why should I return it?

Is that so?

Ghost of Pills.

Have you forgotten that I was the one

who gave you your body?

Did you truly think

I would put my guard down before you?

You...

You used a curse...

On me.

If you do this again,

I'll let you suffer a fate worse than death.

Can the Tianji Pill be restored?

Tianji Pill is a high-level pill.

It is very difficult to restore it.

However, it's not impossible.

The Pill Competition will begin in a few days.

If I can participate

and win the competition,

I will be given the chance to read the Book of Pills.

Then, I'll be able to find a way to restore the pill.

I'll get someone to accompany you to the City of Pill.

You must obtain the Book of Pills.

This book is the cornucopia of Elder Xu's lifelong study.

There are many recipes for two-line and three-line pills,

and also many alchemy techniques.

[Pill Book]

Are you done?

Did you learn anything?

I've learned everything.

Be honest!

All right.

We'll depart for the City of Pill.

When you wear this Ghost Mask,

others won't be able to recognize you anymore.

Let's split up.

See you at the venue.

Oh,

remember to change the color of your True Fire.

Change its color?

My true identity will be safe now.

[City of Pill]

Remember.

Your name is now Blood Pupil.

Don't cause any trouble after you enter the City of Pill.

[Blood Pupil, Disciple of Bloodthirst Hall]

(What a familiar aura.)

As expected of the City of Pill. It is so prosperous.

[Luo Xi, City Lord's Second Disciple] Thank you.

Here you go.

Here.

Thank you.

Excuse me, I came here...

Why are you attacking me all of a sudden?

What's wrong with that?

I want to kill you!

You are very rude for someone your age.

Let me teach you some manners.

You aren't teaching me anything

with that mediocre skill of yours.

How stubborn.

What?

Are you crying because you can't defeat me?

This aura.

So familiar.

Black True Fire?

Golden True Fire.

It really is you.

Hey!

This has been going on long enough.

If you keep this up, I'll call the elder here

and kick both of you out.

Miss,

fighting is allowed in the City of Pill.

You are too...

[Bloodthirst Hall] Blood Pupil,

I said not to cause trouble.

Don't forget your objective.

The people from Bloodthirst Hall are really scary.

(Bloodthirst Hall?)

(Why did he attack me?)

Hey!

If I hadn't intervened just now,

you'd have been in danger.

Shouldn't you thank me?

I don't need you to give me anything.

[Rare and Precious] Just show me your True Fire.

You want to see my True Fire?

Sure.

But can you sign me up for the competition first?

That's easy.

What is your surname

and first name?

My first name is Chenye.

My surname...

[Haotian Store] Hao. Tian.

[Tianshu Tower]

Haotian Chenye.

All right.

This is your identity jade tablet

[Haotian] to join the competition.

Don't lose it.

It's your turn to show me your True Fire.

Sure.

Miss,

let's talk when we meet again.

Interesting.

I hope you won't break your promise!

Senior, we are here.

I can't believe

that the Pill Competition is grander

than the Three-Sect Competition.

The Three-Sect Competition

is just a closed-door competition between the three sects of South Chu.

However, the Pill Competition is an event for both North and South Chu.

The City of Pill has such a strong appeal.

The City of Pill has always maintained a neutral stance.

It believes that everyone can learn alchemy here

so no one dares to offend it due to its revered status.

Biyou!

It really is you!

Yu'er.

Why are you here?

I heard many good pills will appear at the Pill Competition.

Didn't Ye Chen get injured during the Three-Sect Competition?

I want...

I want to try my luck

and see if I can find a pill to help him.

Ye Chen's lucky with women.

Oh,

what about you, Biyou?

I'm here to check things out.

Not at all.

She also came here for Ye...

Ouch!

Grandpa Zhuge,

what's wrong?

They are here!

It's beginning!

The scale of the competition is huge.

We meet again.

What are you doing here?

I, Luo Xi, disciple of the City of Pill,

want to meet all alchemists

in the Pill Competition.

Time to deliver your promise.

Can you show me your True Fire now?

Thank you

[Dan Chen, Lord of City of Pill] for coming to the Pill Competition.

I am honored.

You are too polite, Lord Dan Chen.

I will skip the small talk

and go right down to business.

There are three stages to the Pill Competition.

The champion

can read the city's treasure,

Book of Pills.

(Every alchemist)

(wants to read the Book of Pills.)

(This won't be an easy competition.)

I hereby announce

that the Pill Competition

begins now.

[Next episode] Xuannv?

I was told the talent of this young lady

is unparalleled

among the young people.

If I want to win,

I must think out of the box.

Am I hallucinating?

He is making two four-line elixirs at once.

You only have a spiritual-level soul.

Yet you want to make two elixirs at once.

What a joke!
