Last week on No Prep Teens.

him. Things started off a little hectic
as exes Kai and Lizzie decided maybe

they should do a trade.

I didn't plan on trading her at all.
Okay.

You know, because I wasn't going to let
ego affect me from winning the

championship. Yeah.

Dave considered swapping Axeman for
Lizzie. That is 100 % on the table.

And we saw the most trading that we've
seen all season.

These list picks are Jimmy Taylor.

All right. Take Chandler for Tim Brown.

Doc, come over to Team Murder Nova.

But in the end, Dave decided to not make
the trade, and Lizzie stayed on Kai's

team. Lizzie's your problem.

Damn.

In fact, Lizzie went on to win the
entire event as she beat Axeman in the

semifinals and Robin Roberts in the
finals.

Everything I've been going through,
like, it's just been rough. It's been

roller coaster of a season for me.

Being diagnosed with breast cancer,
stage four, all those days where I get

treatment and stuff like that and, you
know, go through those struggles and I'm

out here and doing what I'm doing and
being able to kick ass.

I don't even know what to say.

Emotional. Got it done.

What a big statement for Lizzie Musi.

And after all the drama, all the
movement, there was absolutely no change

team rankings.

We're here at Firebird Raceway in Idaho
for our sixth points race of the season.

Last week in Tulsa, the temperatures
were extremely hot, over 100 degrees.

Look, it's a little cooler here, but not
by much.

When it's this hot out, that means the
track surface is extremely gooey.

And that usually means that racers can't
put as much power down because they are

going down a surface that is like slimy
rubber.

That was a big hat, man.

Why do you look like the Mario brother?

Just badass.

It's like a shade tree.

Last week, we had a bunch of trades
happening amongst the team.

Now we're going to get all our captains
together and see if they're going to

make any changes this week. Dean. Yeah.
Are you making any moves? I've got a

complete team. I'm happy right now. Love

Murillo, do you have a complete team
here?

No, I do not. We picked up Dominator,
but now he's not here.

So you got four out of five. We're
needing one. Okay, cool. We've got Jerry

starting to fall a little bit behind in
points because we have other teams

that's getting more drivers in than we

Some of the more complicated movement
was on Team Mike Murillo.

Before Race Your Way In, Murillo dropped
Dominator and picked up Jerry Jansen,

who we've seen race in the past.

We're going to take this, right, just in
case?

However, Mike did not make it through
Race Your Way In, so he ended up

Jerry Jansen back down and taking his
spot in the race.

So we're just going to check the idle
and then that's it, right?

We now know who the 32 drivers are going
into the first round. And, fun fact for

you, every single team has four drivers
in the event. That should give them an

equal chance to go round and gain points
towards that $200 ,000 grand prize.

There's been a lot of focus on Team
Daddy Dave, as they've either been tied

in sole possession of first place for
the past four weeks.

With that being said, it hasn't been a
total runaway with it, as there's been a

lot of competition at the top.

Event 7, we're in Boise, Idaho.

Yeah.

Man, I got to say these words, and it
hurts.

But right now, you're the weak link.
What is going on?

This is my first, like, actual parts
malfunction of the season, you know?

Grade 8 last night, so that car is

We just need to go around today, open
the gap up on Bodie's team, and go on to

the next event.

With a real comfortable cushion.

We got to go rounds today. Yes. We do.

Right now, we're in a position to go
take over first place.

We're only 10 points down. With the lack
of me being in for so long, those 10

points mean a lot. We've been down 10
points. So with me just being in and

making it in, that's 10 points that
we've been lacking.

This is your first time in. First time
in. Hell yeah.

Team's actually doing really, really
good.

We got four in now. I'm one of the four,
which is really good.

Damon heard his car last night.

He worked all night to get it back
going. We got it.

We're like half backwards here. We're
going backwards a little bit.

Like, we have tore down a little bit,
and we put it back together. Now we tore

down a lot, and now we're putting it
back together.

I'm thinking my team is going to do
well.

I'm predicting us taking over first
place this weekend.

We're almost to the halfway point of the
season, and cars are starting to break.

Team Daddy Dave and Team Bodie have been
at the top of the rankings all season.

But racers on both teams have had some
car issues lately.

This race series is grueling, race after
race. Every weekend, it eventually

takes a toll on parts, and cars are
going to suffer.

But with the team structure this year,
if one person is struggling, the rest of

their teammates are there to keep
gaining points.

If you guys need whatever, just holler
at me.

And at this point in the season, it also
seems like getting a brand new person

on board could be the spark that gives
the team a little more upper momentum.

So, here in Idaho, obviously, I took the
big L.

Jerry, you're in.

Jimmy, you're in. You're the new guy in
town. People don't know who you are, but

they're about to find out. We got four
out of five in. I'm the only loser on

team. Time for you guys to make some
points for us. Hopefully, it's turning

around and going in the right direction.

are going to be slower.

I got four people on my team going into
the main event. It's something we

haven't had all year. But we got Clay
Cole.

He's a good addition to our team.

Give a little help. Got a hot rod over
there. I think we can take the lead this

weekend. Yeah. With at least four
people. Yep.

We've been doing pretty good with three.

Team Ryan Martin has been hovering
around the middle of the pack all

which is very surprising considering he
won the last three championships. He has

struggled quite a bit this season, even
wrecking his car last week in round two.

The issue this year is everybody's
program.

Everybody's fast. Everybody's fast.
Everybody's programs came in pretty good

ways. Yours looked good. You went, you
run it up at the grade eight last night.

I saw you put it on Lizzie, which.

Whoever can do that has got a car that
runs good.

We're really close to being able to
catch that first place position, and

the time that we need to shine.

I'm in a totally different car this
week, and it's stacked up against us,

feel like if any group can move forward,
it's ours.

As you see back here in the background,
I've got the fireball with me this time.

I crashed the car at the last race in
Tulsa.

Ripped the strut off the car. It ripped
the wheel off the car. It caved in the

lower frame rail.

It broke the door almost in half.

It's being fixed. We got all hands on
deck, but we couldn't quite get it done

for this race.

The combos are very similar.

We're running the gray car at 27 .25
with the smaller blower.

This car has to run at 28 .25 with the
bigger blower.

It's a little bit heavy, but that's not
always a bad thing.

Some of the racetracks, the cars will
run better with more weight in it.

And that's what we're banking and hoping
on for this track.

There's a lot of buzz around me bringing
this car back. It is the OG car. It's

what I started Street Outlaws with. It
has won me my first ever championship at

MBK season three. So there's a lot of
wins under this thing's belt.

I have been fortunate enough to pull off
the last two wins here at Boise, Idaho,

the last two seasons.

I don't know if we can pull off a third
in this car.

But we're going to absolutely try our
hardest to do that.

Yeah, we do.

As you

know,

the Invitational Class is a team
championship. What that means is the

the most points at the end of the season
is going to win $200 ,000.

All right.

So we're going to all draw out of the
bucket now.

The

matchups are

set for round one, and there could be
some major moves here.

We have Ryan Martin going up against
David Gates.

Ryan won the Invitational the past two
years at this track, and he's in a

familiar car that has gotten him a lot
of wins.

This could be Ryan's opportunity to turn
around his losing streak this season.

Kayla from Team Daddy Dave, who's first
in points, drew Damon from Team Bodie,

who's only 10 points behind them.

This race alone could determine if we
have a new number one team at the end of

the night.

Lizzie Mucey drew her former NOLA pal,
Bobby Ducote.

Lizzie's coming off a huge win in Tulsa,
and if she can pull off another win

like that here, it could possibly bring
Team Kai Kelly back up to the top.

With every team having four drivers in
the first round, this could be a huge

opportunity to gain points if they can
go around today.

All right, this first pair in the first
round of the Invitational. We've got

Birdman going up against Kai Kelly.

Hey, Mr. Birdman.

Hey, buddy.

Birdman is a good draw because he's been
struggling with his car.

He just recently went twin turbo, so
he's definitely getting a handle on the

again. But Birdman is the king of
guests. And what I mean by guests, the

could be up to 60 feet before the green
light comes on. So I'm worried about

racing Birdman because as fast as he is,
I'd have to run a 350 at 220 miles an

hour to catch him.

I drew Kai Kelly first round, and Kai is
fast. He is the fastest car, most

consistent this year.

He is hauling ass.

But, man, I tell you what, we got a hot
rod, so I'm ready to rock and roll.

Birdman drew Kai first round. That is a
tough draw. I mean, nobody wants to race

Kai, obviously. But anything can happen.
Birdman's finally turning his game

around, and we need to prove ourselves
and let's just hope that Birdman can

off a...

All right, this first pair in the first
round of the Invitational. We've got

Birdman going up against Kai Kelly.

He was in my head. I really thought he
was going to guess.

He ran a straight up race. I got the
win.

I almost guessed. Did you really? I
thought you was going to. Man, I had a

rod. I wasn't going to guess. I said,
I'll have to run a 350 to catch him.

So the main thing that's going to happen
this round is that heat's really going

to come in. The track temperature right
there is 127, 128.

And right now we're getting to the heat
of the day. So by the time you guys get

up there, there ain't no shade. It's
going to be 130 degrees.

So there's going to be a lot of people
overpowering the first 100 feet real

Unless you got your trash control like
dead on the drive shaft, you know what I

mean? I got faith in you, though.

We've worked long and hard to get to
this place, and I feel like we're ready

make a good hit. And hopefully we can be
a good help for the team and, you know,

get some points for them. It's all about
team effort.

A little bit nervous, I ain't going to
lie.

BFJ drew Jimmy Taylor, which is a good
draw.

But Brandon's running great, by the way.
So, I mean, really, that's a good draw

for Brandon because they don't have to
lean on their stuff as hard, I don't

think.

But this is racing. I mean, this has
been on paper, obviously.

I was nervous at the burnout, got
through the burnout, was calm.

And then after I seen the wind light
come on, I got the jitters all over

just like I just started.

Next pair coming at you right here, that
is going to be Kyle Canyon going up

against Rich Bruder.

We drew the Bruder brothers.

I've never ran them. I know the course
passed, but we made some good passes

night, learned some things about this
track, but it got hot today. It got real

hot, so I don't know what's fixing to
happen, but that track could make a big

difference here.

First round is always the hardest round.
The track, you know, we raced on it

last night, but not today.

So you're going up there blind.

But you just look at it, and, you know,
it's really guessing. You take a guess

and take a gamble and let it go.

This week, we're at Firebird Raceway in
Boise, Idaho.

Coming into this event, again, my team's
business number one, Kyle Starr.

I watched it make passes last night.
That thing is fast.

So hopefully he can get us some points.

All right, folks, this next one's going
to be a good one.

That's going to be David Gates going up
against Ryan Martin.

The only thing that really bothers me,
everybody's talking about this guessing

stuff, and it's getting into everybody's
freaking mind. So I don't think Ryan,

being the racer he is, I ain't never
really seen him be a guesser. I don't

that I should guess against him, Drew
Ryan Martin.

You know, I feel like we're the same
caliber as Ryan.

You know, may the best man win. I feel
like we can go out here today on this

hot, greasy track, and I feel like we're
going to have the hot rod to beat

today. I feel like I can pride it
ourselves on the tree, and I want to

that mug's green and get to the other
end.

What benefits can you get by watching
the competition like that?

Well, you know, especially in my
position, which I'm fourth or fifth, and

fourth or fifth, I can watch and see how
the other guys do to figure out if we

made the right tune -up decision or not.

If their cars look fast and they go
right down, it allows you to maybe

think about making a different move or
whatever. But after what I just saw

there, I think we're going to stay
conservative and see how it goes.

All right, folks, this next one is going
to be a good one. That's going to be

David Gates going up against Ryan
Martin.

And David Gates takes a stab at the
tree.

Got the advantage on the tree and never
looked.

Back. So you guessed.

It looks like David Gates guessed the
tree, which basically means he

when the green light would come on and
let go of his translate button before he

actually saw the green light.

If you time it just right, you won't go
red because it takes a moment for the

car to react and gives you a huge
advantage.

It's technically legal, but many racers
feel like it's not sportsmanlike.

Also, now that everyone has seen him get
away with it, it'll probably get in the

rest of the racers' heads.

Because if you think your opponent might
get it, you're more likely to try it

yourself.

You know, I don't want to disrespect
him. He's the champ. But I'm out here to

win money. I'm trying to win $40 ,000
today and get, you know, points for our

team.

It's not a good pick for anybody first
round. She always runs good. Is this

some sort of guess or what?

But, you know, at any time, anybody can
slip up. So hopefully something we do

Damon Merchant is brand new to no prep
this year. He's definitely been making a

huge statement.

He's gained a ton of points for Team
Bodie.

He's taken out heavy hitters left and
right.

Damon's been having some issues with his
car recently.

I kept spraying oil everywhere again.

Yeah, it's just as bad as it was the
other night.

But it sounds like all those issues
might be behind him.

We have some mean -ass draws.

I hear Damon.

Nobody seems to be able to take Damon
out. So, you know, it's my turn to give

a shot, and I think I'm up for the
challenge.

I mean, it couldn't have been more than
a fender, but that Hemi came on strong

on the big end, and we just didn't have

Swanstrom. I have to worry about racing
the traffic.

round. I feel like, you know, we're just

steadily falling farther and farther

It kind of scared me. I let off

So here we are, Eagle, Idaho, one of my
favorite racetracks in the country.

You know, we brought the new car out. I
tested it. The car tested great, and I

feel like we've got a car that can run
up front, and I think we can make a

comeback like we did last year now.

We're just going to put a tune -up in
the car that we know will go for these

conditions. I'm not going to get crazy.
I'm not trying to set the world on fire.

We're just going to make sure we leave
first and make sure that we put a path

down that will hopefully be in front of
them.

thing. So that's what teammates need to

though. We don't need to be fighting and
arguing over personal stuff and not

talking to each other as a team trying
to win this $200 ,000.

led by Daddy Dave, has four racers

moving into round two. But they're not
alone.

And Team Kai Kelly also has four racers
left in, and they're looking to earn

points and move up. Also, we've got two
brand -new racers, Clay Cole and Jimmy

Taylor, both moving on to the second
round. Not many people knew them at the

beginning of today, but they're trying
to make the names for themselves.

Me and him went back and forth, but
after the Australia trip, man, he's been

great. He's been great to race with and
work with.

can do to outrun him, and he's going to

do that absolute same thing.

Round two, we go up. We drop Scott
Taylor.

Scott Taylor's a tough draw. He's always
a tough draw, just like Swanstrom. He

goes rounds.

He's usually in the grade eight.

He's a front runner out here at this
deal, and he's nobody to play with. I

think I've ever outrun him on a track.

We're going to have to put a tune -up in
the car that we think this track will

hold, and you can't look back after
that. If you get outran by somebody who

faster than you and everything goes to
plan, you can't be upset about that.

Going up against Robin Roberts.

Good? Yeah, sir.

We drew Robin second round.

He's beat me in Idaho here last year,
first round.

He beat me two weekends ago in Tulsa.
He's got a hot rod.

I know that he's got a good program.
They work hard on it. He's fast. We're

going to try to speed up our run that we
went earlier. It was a decent run.

We're going to try to go out there and,
you know, take it down the track and try

to get the win.

This is the kind of win you want to win.
When he does shenanigans against your

captain, you want to make him pay.

super hot track on the last pass. We

adjusted a little bit for what we think
to keep this going down the track and

win the race.

Last time I raced Jim, I think he beat
me.

I think he beat me the last two times.
So to get a little redemption would be

for this round, but it's still hot. We
gotta race the racetrack, it's the

biggest thing, but the car made a really
good run last pass, so we got the right

lane this time. I think both lanes are
pretty much the same, but Axeman's fast,

so we can't take him lightly, so we just
gotta get to the finish line first,

right? That's the goal.

In the grade 8, Axman beat Damon, so I
was like, hey, that's a big deal.

I know, he must be running real fast.

Damon's been freaking killing it here
lately, so he has his act together.

Great pass from her there in that right
lane.

Able to beat Ashley. Nice job.

I almost didn't know who won, but it was
a really badass race.

I love having races like that all day
long. I'll take that any time of day.

Compared to someone like Shaken next to
you, I'd rather have a badass, close

race like that.

Next pair, that is going to be Nate
Saylor against Kai Kelly.

I need you to do me a favor.

I need you to kick Kai's ass, man. Get
him out of there.

Because trust me when I tell you, I'm
tired of getting beat by him. I called

tuner and I said, I don't give a flying
rat if we blow the tires off of it.

Because I'm telling you, we're swinging

Ty Kelly, my arch nemesis. This guy's

been dragging my ass twice now. I've
turned this car up. I just got home with

tuner. I'm either going to blow the
tires off of it or I'm going to beat

period. I'm tired of him dragging my
ass. So we're going to fix this right

One good thing about Nate is I know he's
a straight -up racer. I don't have to

worry about the guessing and all that,
but at the end of the day, he's got a

really fast hot rod.

Now, I've got to depend on my guys to
make my car better.

This next race could be huge.

If Kai Kelly can take out Nate Singer
from Bodie's team, it could give Kai the

points his team needs.

same people over and over, it's just

Jimmy's got a very similar car to ours.
He's got a Pro Charge combination as

well. I believe it's a three -speed as
well. So it's very comparable. So it's

going to literally come down to who's
got the best tuner.

I can't tell you how good I feel right

So we're going to go into third round

super strong, ready to rock it.

Each round I win, I'm getting 10 more

they've got Kai, Lizzie, and Clay Cole
still in the race.

Clay Cole was a last -minute pickup back
in Tulsa, and look, it appears that

that is paying off.

Meanwhile, Team Daddy Dave, who started
off the day in first, only has one

driver left, and that is Kyle Canyon.

It seems like Kai Kelly's team might be
able to move back in to first.

converter in it, and we're going to do
everything we can. We're going to make

back up here for next round and keep
trying to carry the team and get some

I mean, it kind of is, though, you know.

I get the number one chip, second race
in a row, and I draw Kai Kelly. And at

this point in time, it looks to me like
he has the fastest car on the property.

He won the grade eight last night, and
he's hard to beat. You know, Kai wins a

lot of rounds.

Sean's been running a lot better this
year. He's come out with a new combo,

he's been struggling to make it to the
third round. So this is the first time

he's ever been in the third round. I'm
planning on making it not the first time

he's been to the 10 laps, but we're
going to see what we can do.

All right, Kelly, we've got fuel coming
out of one of the cylinders on the

driver's side of the car.

Ty Kelly got fuel coming out of one of
the cylinders of the car beside the car.

It means I'll do a burnout, and right at
the end of my burnout, the linkage

broke off the barrel valve, which means
when I give it gas, it don't open the

barrel valve, so no fuel.

At the end of the day, about a $20 part
cost us the race.

I hate to lose that way, but there's
nothing we can do about a part breaking.

You know, we had a fast hot rod. We
could have won this thing.

His car is very different than it was

you know that car is fast.

So we came back. We talked about it.
We're going to turn it up. We feel like

track will handle it now. We'll go out
and see what we do.

Last two rounds, he's been pretty lucky.
Last two pairs had red light against

him, so he hadn't had to work for it too
hard, but I'm going to make him work

for it.

I don't take off until I see green. So
don't think there's going to be another

red light wind because I want red light.

I made a good pass against Birdman. He's
like, dude.

You're never going to believe the
fastest pass I've ever made in that car.

finals from last week.

We're going to see Chuck 55 going up
against Lizzie Musi for $40 ,000.

This racetrack is extremely tricky.
We're at an extremely high altitude,

means the cars are going to make less
power, and they will be harder to tune.

In this final, Lizzie might have a
slight edge, as she is a nitrous car.

The nitrous car can make its own
atmosphere. It can just add more nitrous

faster, whereas the blower car, like
Chuck 55, the blower car has to compress

the air.

And if the air is thin, it's much harder
to do.

My dad said, oh, don't run it all the
way because of the elevation.

Meanwhile, Team Daddy Day was able to do
enough to remain in the second -place

spot, and we saw Team Murder Nova move
ahead of Team Swanstrom into fifth

But as we've seen, one event can change
things completely.

The season is far from over.

Next week, we're at Bandimere Speedway,
which is the highest elevation we'll see

all season.

Ty's team has finally taken the lead,
but is only 20 points ahead of Dave's

team.

So Dave Comstock, it's like the car died
after the burnout.

Meanwhile, Ryan Martin is finally
gaining some momentum.

This is my second week using the
fireball for this. Today, I felt like we

finally got the car a little closer to
where it needs to be.

And with only eight events left, time is
running out to do what it'll take to

win the $200 ,000 championship.
