but somebody did.

That somebody didn't want Doris
sniffing around,

so they poisoned her
with organophosphate, a pesticide,

a contact poison.

But how?

How did the killer manage to poison
Doris

with a program handed out at random
by a police officer?

Well, they didn't.

No, the killer wanted us
looking at the programs.

They wanted us trying to unpick
an impossible crime,

because then we wouldn't be looking
at what actually killed Doris.

Her cocktail glass
containing her drink.

What a perfect murder weapon.

Covered in a poison almost
instantly lethal to the touch,

and then thrown in the dishwasher
with all the rest.

Evidence destroyed.

But there was pesticide on the
inside of the program. I tested it.

The killer planted
the poisoned program

in the commotion
following Doris's collapse.

But still, why?

I knew that there had to be a link
between the names on that list,

but what we didn't realise

is that we were actually
investigating two murders.

Doris's, and the last perfect murder

The Chloe Jarvis case.

Malcolm worked it with Doris
all those years ago.

Chloe and Mark Jarvis

just will do anything for money,

and who we now know is in
a criminal conspiracy with Tabitha.

Doris thought that these people,

they might just know something
about what happened to Chloe Jarvis.

She found Tabitha here last night

when she was delivering the printing.

The ever-innocent Tabitha
knew nothing.

Joy Mina? It doesn't ring a bell.

Sorry.

But she did make a call
to an old friend.

Tabitha's the one

that forged the documents turning you
from Mark Jarvis, murderer,

into Christopher Fletcher,
wedding celebrant,

bearded now, different hair,
a bit more weight on,

and with a tell-tale imperfection
on your licence, just there,

from Tabitha's letterpress.

Thanks to Tabitha, you suspected
Doris would be at this wedding.

I mean, poisoning her glass,
that was a bit of a risk,

because you needed her to put down
her drink in order to switch it,

but considering the stakes for you,

you have to reckon with it.
