And even though
I've been blessed

to travel all over
the world, I always seem

to come right back here to this
place I still call home.

Dollywood is a place that fills
me with pride and celebrates

the spirit of the people who
made a life for themselves

in this stingy countryside.

Family means the world to me.

And I saw this park
as a chance to honor them

and my extended family

the fans, you.

Now, the home I grew up in is
just a stone's throw from here.

And of course, I've spent
a lifetime

telling you stories,
and memories

of my growing up days with
all my brothers and sisters.

Willadeene, David, Denver,
Bobby, Stella, Cassie

Randy, Floyd,
Freida, and Rachel.

And of course, to think
about mama and daddy.

And all the stuff
we kids got into.

Believe me they had
their hands full.

But one memory
stands alone.

Precious and sacred.

'Course it's a story
about a coat mama made for me

when I was about 9 years old.

And it's a story that shows how
one little raggedy, patch work

coat, showed me
a love I'd never known.

And it just changed
my life forever.

Of course, my mama called it

my coat of many colors.
