And betty began to wonder
if she was seeing a satellite.

So she asked barney to stop

So that she could look at
this thing through binoculars.

She sees the craft
following right behind them.

Then it seems to disappear.

She thought that the ufo

the window and look up

Because he thought that it might
now be above their vehicle.

that it was hovering

They were 35 miles down

hours later then they expected.

of what I investigate

Is what we call missing time,

And this is exactly what
betty and barney experienced.

They were missing two hours.

And this was something
that kind of bothered them.

We have tens of thousands
of these reports.

And what we find is when
there's missing time, you know,

They haven't fallen asleep
on the side of the road.

Marden: Barney immediately
went into the home

And checked his body out.

He had vague memories
of something

Being placed on his body
that he didn't like at all.

her dress is torn

In several places,
but has no memory of how or why.

Dolan: I met betty back in 2002,
and she had the dress with her.

Like, this was something
that was very important for her,

And I got to see it myself
personally,

And it obviously had different
kinds of markings.

It's 6:00 p.M.
When 42-year-old charlie hickson

And 19-year-old calvin parker
get off work.

The men are looking for a spot
to go fishing here

Along the west bank
of the pascagoula river.

Only a teenager at the time,

It would take calvin
nearly 50 years

To finally come to terms
with what happened

That October night,

And for the first time
ever on national television,

Calvin parker shares the story

Of what he wishes
never happened.

Parker: October 11th I remember
the rest of my life.

So, we had got up and I seen
the trespassing signs,

And I had told charlie,

"I don't think
we need to fish here.

They got no trespassing."

And he said, "aw,
don't worry about it, son.

I fish here all the time."

We got sat down, and I remember
sitting on the pier

And casting out.

Narrator: It's a clear night,

And the moon is already out
as the two men

Drop their lines in the water.

Then something very strange

blue lights coming across,

And that was the same color
lights -- hazy blue lights --

That the police department
always had.

I just knew we was gonna get
took to jail or run off.

And I stood up, turned around.

The door on the craft
had just slid open.

That's when I seen
the bright lights.

And I couldn't figure out
what was going on.

I actually thought to myself
they're shining

A spotlight on us.

made later that evening

With the local sheriff,

Charlie hickson,
who has since passed away,

it was blinding.

We couldn't see nothing
until it got right up on me,

something not from this world.

It wasn't very tall.

And it kind of shaped oblong,
like a football.

And I remember two windows
being in the front of the craft

almost tear-drop-shaped craft.

This is not a shape
that I recognize

From a science-fiction film.

This is not even something

That I've really seen
in the ufo literature.

If these people had been making
this story up,

You would've expected them
to have sourced it

From something
that's been seen before.

the craft's piercing lights,

Calvin parker
and charlie hickson

Are feeling trapped.

And the lights was coming
from inside that craft,

And that blinded us
from seeing what was going on.

What had happened when we got
to where we could see,

It was three
robotic-looking beings

clothes on

Or anything like that.

They had a move like
robotic-looking move, you know.

to transfer space

But would send robots to do that
is becoming much more accepted.

And yet, back in 1973,
parker and hickson said

That's what they encountered.

Parker: I know that one got
ahold of me.

Two of them got ahold of him.

He levitated me, and we started
going to the craft,

To the front door of it.

Narrator: Once inside the craft,
hickson and parker are sedated.

Parker: And they laid me
on an examination table.

I was looking in there,
rolling my eyes.

I couldn't move my head,

'cause I was able to see and I
was conscious of my hearing,

My sight, my smell, but I wasn't
able to turn my head.

All I could do was just look
whichever direction

They pointed me.

And the light just appeared
to illuminate out of the walls.

You couldn't see any light
fixtures or anything,

And it was still bright.

While they were in
the police station,

The officer on duty secretly
recorded their conversation.

These guys were 100%

Claim to have been abducted

As having crab-like claws.

But the feminine humanoid
has five finger-like talons.

and run it down my throat,

Tried to come up through
my nasal cavities,

And that's when I started
trying to come back to.

You know, I wanted to beat her
to death

'cause that was painful.

is so unbearable

That parker thinks the alien
is going to kill him.

Then, all of a sudden -- I wore
a white t-shirt at the time --

It was already blood
running down.

And she backed up
out of the way,

And then the old,
big, ugly one come in,

One that was mechanical-looking,
and I think he was a soldier.

And they mumbled,
and he grabbed me by the arm,

And it must've injected
something into it again

'cause I got relaxed
all at one time again.

the droid soldier lifts parker

In his claws
and moves toward the door.

Parker: That's when he
picked us up

And took us back out
to the river,

About exactly at the same spot.

That's the first time I had
heard charlie or even seen him.

And I looked, and this thing --

And it picked up off the ground
a little bit

And just shot straight up
into the air and disappeared.

a pretty hard time for a while

california to see a specialist.

Dr. Roger leir was a podiatrist,
a foot and ankle surgeon,

Who specialized
in looking into claims

That some of these
alien abductees

Had been implanted

And removes a foreign object
from her foot.

Were people who came to him

All you see is metal objects

The cocoons were, in fact,
cocooned of a material

That he said was impossible
to be inside the body.

He said, "this is a
keratin-esque material."

I said, "what does that mean?"

"keratin is your fingernails,

Your surface skin, your hair."

It doesn't exist inside the body
next to bone.
