also just want to remind people that my
mother was not a bad person

she was not stable, and, you know, we

moved around a lot, and she did her
best. That was just the way she was.

She suffered from mental illness, and
she tried to treat it with alcohol, and

don't think I noticed things until I got
to high school. My mother started

hanging out in Central Park, and she
would go there every day and just drink.

fell somewhere in the park, and I have

to go pick her up from the hospital.

Or she would get arrested.

It was literally like having a child.
And I constantly was just waiting by the

phone to see if I was going to get a
phone call of where I had to go pick her

at.

And the more money I made, I thought I
can throw money on it and get her help.

And she'd just drink.

I wouldn't know where she is or what she
was doing. I always held my breath

thinking I would get that call that she
was dead. And I finally got it.

I know you mentioned your mom was
homeless for a period of your life.

During that time, how did you keep in
touch with her? She wasn't physically on

the street. She was in a shelter or a
rehab.

I did put her in a assisted living slash
rehab for a while,

and then she got in trouble there, and
that's why she ended up with me.

I was the only one who continuously
would forgive her and say, okay, yeah,

let's do it again.

I just really thought it would change
every single time. I thought it would

change. It just never, ever changed.

It's like a hamster on a wheel.

And finally, I think, when I married
David, my mom lived with us for three

months, and she got so drunk in front of
our kids.

And David said, she has to go. You have
to throw her out. And it was the hardest

thing I ever had to do.

Throw out my mother who had no money,
nothing. She didn't have a place to go.

She had nothing.

And I'm living in this fucking
townhouse.

And my mother's on the street.

And three months later you die. I feel
like it's my fault.

I never explained that she had a
problem. The children knew. My son would

I love Bob Ross. So I would always just
say, you know, Grandma's an artist.

Artists, you know, they can be a little
cuckoo.

And so they would paint with her and do
those things, but they didn't understand

that she was drinking.

I have a tapeworm.

I don't eat meat, and I also lift
weights, so I do get hungry every two to

hours. Our filming schedule's sporadic,
and sometimes it just lands on mealtime,

which is every two to three hours.

You know, it's interesting. When we
announced the cast, people reacted

negatively to their being an influencer.

What was your reaction to that, or do
you think influencers get a bad rap? I

I think we do get a really bad rap. I
don't think people really understand

this very much so is a business. People
just...

assume that we're running around taking
selfies and charging people for it.

Like, there's so many moving parts.

We have teams. We have briefs. We have
deliverables. We pitch concepts just

an advertising agency.

Yes. And, you know, the editing.

It does take a long time. And I think I
want to say something in defense of it

because I think I came from a world
where I saw this whole group of people

up. And what happens is you don't get
hired as an influencer. You can call

yourself one. And so there's a myriad of
people who are out there calling

are not. And so I think it muddies the

water. And people who are actually
professional and do this for a living

clearly successful and have a real
business, they get lumped in with

who actually is not an influencer at
all.

Well, I didn't watch it, so I don't know

thing, I was on homecoming court, and I

get a call that my dad's dying. But the
next day I was on a train, on an Amtrak

up to Ann Arbor, and he didn't die that
day. He lived for a little bit, but then

I decided, because I'm a lunatic, to go
up every weekend and take care of him.

And maybe it was, like, creepy that I
was, like, so, like, let's pretend to be

father and daughter for the time that we
can. But I told him everything. I told

him everything I did.

told him everything I was going to do.

Did he respond?

Yeah, he said that every day he looked
in the mirror and that he saw a monster,

that he never forgave himself.

He said he was sorry for everything.
