[Mr. Bad]

[Episode 6]

What do you want again?

I promise you.

What promise?

You like me, don't you?

I agree to date you.

Why not just tell me

that you like me?

If so, I wouldn't have to consider

about Lu Zichen.

I've thought about it.

Let's

nominally date each other.

Then, I'll abandon

you relentlessly.

So that

you could have

an unforgettable love.

Then, you'll be free.

But I don't like you.

How is it possible?

I don't like you.

How could you possibly not like me?

I really don't like you.

Then, you...

Wait.

Are you confessing your love to me?

No.

How could I possibly

confess to you?

You were confessing your love to me.

Wait.

Do it again.

I'll record it.

No one

has ever confessed to me

in my life.

Also, I've never

rejected someone before.

Say it again.

Get out.

What did you say?

Say it again.

How could she possibly not like me?

It's impossible.

It's really not me.

How is it possible?

[Impossible.]

[I've got to confirm it.]

Xiao Wudi.

Xiao Wudi.

She's so happy

while dreaming of me.

Yet, she's still pretending.

Let's see how I'm going to call your bluff tomorrow.

Xiao Wudi.

Xiao Wudi.

Take your dirty money

and go back to the ancient times.

What is my senior like

when she falls in love?

When she sees a handsome guy,

she'll drool all over him

and pay lip service.

But in fact,

she won't make a move.

Sometimes,

she doesn't even dare to talk.

Sometimes, she is

prone to violence.

But if you ask her

if she wants to be with him,

she will deny it again.

So I think

she has never

fallen in love for all these years.

Anyway, I haven't seen it before.

Then, what you said is

of no use to me either.

I haven't finished.

I haven't finished yet.

I haven't seen it before.

But there was one time when she told me

what she was like when she fell in love.

What was she like?

She will totally attach herself.

Attach herself?

She will totally attach

herself to the guy's emotions.

She'll be happy if he's happy.

When he's upset,

she'll be more upset than he is.

If he cries in front of her,

she'll cry her heart out.

Attach herself?

Do not think too much.

I heard

that she has liked

the guy for several years.

But in the end,

they weren't together.

Don't affect your relationship

with her because of what I said.

Don't worry.

I've got an idea.

Thank you.

Hey.

Is he going to confess to her?

Should I remind Nan Xing, then?

This is a good chance.

I have to turn on the camera first

to keep the evidence.

Forget it.

I guess she'll be nervous if I tell her.

Mum.

You're back.

You're still practising?

You're done already?

Yes.

I haven't cooked yet.

What did you eat?

[Lu Zichen, give me back my Goddess, Su Yu] What did you eat?

[Lu Zichen, give me back my Goddess, Su Yu]

No. [Lu Zichen, give me back my Goddess, Su Yu]

[Lu Zichen, give me back my Goddess, Su Yu]

It's my boss. [Lu Zichen, give me back my Goddess, Su Yu]

[Lu Zichen, give me back my Goddess, Su Yu]

What happens to your boss? [Lu Zichen, give me back my Goddess, Su Yu]

What happens to your boss?

He killed Su Yu.

Is he under arrest?

No.

Su Yu is the female lead in his novel.

He wrote that she's dead.

Now that his fans

on Weibo have exploded with anger.

It has become the 12th most searched topic.

Let me see it.

Lu Zichen,

I was your fan but now I've become a hater.

Lu Zichen, give me back my Goddess Su Yu.

Lu Zichen will have bad luck for his life.

Go die, Lu Zichen.

This is so brutal.

Hello, Jiaming.

Sorry.

I've got an urgent work

to take care of now.

I might

not be able to show up today.

[It's alright.]

[I can come and accompany you.]

It's not necessary.

It'll distract me if you come.

And I can't accompany you.

How about this?

I'll call you tonight,

okay?

[Alright, go on with your work.]

Sure.

[Bye bye.]

I've thought

about the way of rescuing her.

But there's a crucial issue.

I think we need

to discuss about it.

So I think tonight...

I've got an appointment tonight.

Hello, Nan Xing.

Go to Mr. Lu's house

and get his completed draft over.

It used to be me who did this.

But I think

I should leave it to you now.

[Don't tell me]

[he's mad about this.]

Miss Ye.

We've searched everywhere.

But he's nowhere to be found.

He doesn't answer the phone and reply the messages.

No one answered the door when we rang his doorbell.

Also,

the proofreaders and the publishers

told me

that Boss specially ordered them

not to show it to the others

before this article was published.

Who else could it be?

He meant me.

Get back to work, go.

Sorry.

I still want to come and see you.

Coffee.

Thank you.

But

I might not have time for you now.

It's alright.

Hello, yes, how is it?

Okay.

Miss Jiao.

[Hello, Nan Xing.]

What's your situation?

Do you need my help?

[Never mind.]

[You can't]

[handle this kind of thing.]

You're right.

It looks like I'll only cause more troubles if I go there.

[Nan Xing, I'll get back to work.]

Okay, see you tomorrow.

[Bye bye.]

Why did you kill off Su Yu

in the novel?

Isn't she your cup of tea?

Will you hope

to see your beloved one die?

Or you want to ruin her because you can't have her?

[Xiao Wudi]

[Come over now.] [Xiao Wudi]

[Xiao Wudi]

[Have a drink with me.] [Xiao Wudi]

[Have a drink with me.]

What's wrong with him?

Come in.

The door is open.

What's the matter?

Why do you start drinking in broad daylight?

What has happened?

Nothing.

Then, why did you ask me over?

For real.

Just say it.

I just

don't want to be alone.

Why?

Maybe it's because

I was watching TV.

Then,

I suddenly thought of Hehuan Palace.

My hometown, Hehuan Palace.

[I know.]

[I wrote it.]

You used to live in the imperial palace?

Then, were you an emperor or an eunuch?

It wasn't an imperial palace.

Hehuan Palace was

a renowned

martial arts sect.

Because I've lost

my parents since I was little.

So my master

kept me.

Then, I've stayed

in Hehuan Palace

with him since I was a kid.

[He got a master?]

[Why didn't I know that?]

But then,

my master

left too.

He was

my only kin.

When he left,

he told me

to wait for a person

in the palace.

To wait

for a person who I have to protect for my life.

After that,

I had been waiting in the palace.

Day by day,

year by year,

but at last,

I still didn't wait

for that person.

As for my master,

I didn't hear from him as well.

But I think it's great.

Really.

At least,

I had a home at that time.

What happened then?

Then,

I came here.

I lost everything.

[You believe it, right?]

[You're sad, aren't you?]

[You feel me, right?]

[It's time for you to admit that you're in love with me.]

I... I'm fine.

Sorry.

I suddenly miss my home.

Never mind.

What an odd coincidence.

I'm feeling sad as well.

I'll have a drink with you.

Wait a moment.

Well,

why don't you make it clear first?

Why do you feel sad?

Is it because of me?

Actually, I don't...

It's all because of my boss.

He wrote that Su Yu is dead.

That is the renowned Su Yu.

The Su Yu that I've loved for ten years.

Yet, he killed off her in the novel.

Su Yu?

No.

After everything I've said,

you're sad because of Su Yu?

You have no idea

how important Su Yu is to me.

I grew up together

with Su Yu

throughout my adolescence.

I can say that I only have

few friends in high school and university.

Every time when I had a hard time,

Su Yu's the only one who could accompany me.

Everyone, calm down.

Calm down, okay?

Calm down, will you?

Excuse me.

Sorry.

Excuse me.

Stand back! Stand back!

Step back!

Nan Xing.

Step back.

Nan Xing, over here.

Be quiet.

This is Boss's parcel.

Take it to his office.

Okay.

We're dealing with it.

We'll post it on our official

platform.

Give my goddess back to me!

Guys,

just go back and wait.

Okay?

Boss.

They're well matched.

You killed off the female lead in the novel like this.

How are we going to calm the readers down?

Look how messy

the situation is out there.

This is supposed to be

a heartbreaking matter.

Isn't it normal

for them to feel sorrow?

This is a huge matter.

Why can't you tell me in advance

and let me get prepared for this?

I only knew it when I saw it

on the most searched topic on Weibo.

Creation

is a private matter.

Did I even have

to tell you in advance?

Why didn't you tell me

before you have a relationship?

So this is the reason.

Is there any stipulation in my labour contract

against me having a relationship?

Well,

it has gotten in the way of your work.

Think about it.

If it were you who came

to take the drafts,

we could've communicated with each other.

It's a completely different thing.

This is

Nan Xing's job.

I refused to be your assistant

not because I'm in a relationship.

Forget it.

Anyway, the drafts

have been published.

It has mobilised public opinion.

Listen to the voice out there.

Figure out what to do.

I can make the character come back to life.

I'm the writer.

What is this for?

Wait.

What are you doing here?

I...

Your parcel.

You may go.

Okay.

What's wrong, Boss?

White...

[This scene is made by props] White...

[This scene is made by props]

Just like what you wrote...

Throw it away.

Don't tell anyone about it.

But...

Take it away.

Go now.

Nan Xing, good morning.

It's alright.

Do your work.

Boss.

Boss.

I don't think this is right.

You shouldn't

handle this in secret.

You should call the police.

Do you know

how often a mystery writer

will receive such threats

in a day?

You go and search

my name on Weibo now.

There are thousands of people

cursing me.

Do you think

the police can catch them all?

But,

he's different

from those trolls.

Obviously, he's imitating

the plot of your novel.

Moreover, he has

found out where our company is.

Maybe

he's been stalking you.

Do you realise the strain

our company is under

because of the network public opinion?

What if

nothing is found

after surrendering the case

to the police?

I already said

that nothing has happened

and it'll never happen.

So we just let it be?

What else can we do?

They just want to make

their feelings known.

They won't do

anything else.

But what if...

What if something

really happens?

No,

I think we need to call the police.

I said it's not necessary.

They won't do

anything else.

I can't just watch

you being in jeopardy

and do nothing.

No, I must capture him.

How?

Can you catch him?

Are you trying to show me your ability

because you want

to become a regular staff?

That's not my intention.

I do this to keep you safe.

I'm totally safe.

No, I must capture him.

Just get over it already.

You...

Boss,

is it because

you think I want you to make me a regular staff

and you won't?

That's why you won't let me capture him?

I won't?

Fine, if you catch him,

I'll make you a regular staff.

Okay, it's a deal.

[What am I doing?]

Nan Xing.

What's wrong?

Are you not feeling well?

Do you have a fever?

Why are you blushing?

I'm fine.

Miss Jiao,

I...

Can I

use the toilet?

Why do you ask for my permission?

Just go ahead.

Thank you.

Thank you?

I'm screwed.

I can't believe I talked back to Boss.

What should I do?

How could I do something like this?

No.

What matters now is

to find out the criminal.

Yes, find the criminal.

White pigeon killings,

[according to the plot,]

[the criminal will come here again tonight.]

[And he will stick the bloodstained feathers]

[on the victim's door.]

[On the third day,]

[the victim's body will be found.]

No.

I must stop this from happening.

What to do? What to do?

[Actually, what I want to tell you is]

[that you're not alone.]

[I'm here with you.]

[I'm your armour.]

Hello.

Hello, Young Master Xiao.

What do you want?

[Can you]

[come to our company?]

[I need your help.]

I'm not free.

You...

Xiao Wudi,

I need you now.

Help, come and help me.

[Help, come and help me.]

You're really here.

Can you choose a better place?

I didn't expect it would be so accurate.

Nan Xing.

Nan Xing.

Nan Xing, are you in there?

Nan Xing, are you in there?

Miss Jiao, what's the matter?

Nothing.

As you've been here

for so long,

I'm worried

if you're not feeling well.

Are... Are you alright?

I've got diarrhoea.

You... You've got diarrhoea?

Is it serious?

I'm fine, Miss Jiao.

I'll be fine in a minute.

Alright, then.

I'll head back first.

Text me if there's anything.

Sure.

Put me down.

My legs are numb.

I do need your help.

Can we get out of here first?

So

I conclude that he will

show up again tonight.

As long as we lie in wait,

I'm sure we can catch him.

Okay, okay.

I know what you want to say.

You're going to say,

"Know your place."

"You're a hostage and I'm an abductor."

"Believe it or not, I'll get you..."

Alright.

I'll help you.

Are you sure?

I'll find a place to wait for you

to get off.

Well, I'll buy you a meal today.

Buy me a meal?

Do you have money?

Then, I'll find you a fine restaurant.

It'll be your treat.

You can't sit here. Get up.

Get down.

Your head.

Can you stop it?

Can you keep it down?

What if he shows up

now?

Why would a bad guy

come here after doing

bad deeds?

To wait to be arrested?

There's no logic.

What does logic matter to a die-hard fan?

According to the plot of the story,

he should be here

to stick the bloodstained feathers.

So I'm sure he'll show up.

Why do you...

I told you not to stand up.

You're so jumpy.

Hello, mum.

[Nan Xing, where are you?]

I forgot to tell you

that I have to work overtime today.

Go to bed first, don't wait for me.

[Are you]

[with Xiong now?]

I'm not with Xiong.

[Got it.]

[Don't be too late.]

Okay, I know. Bye bye.

Do you like this job that much?

Can't you get another job?

I told you

I didn't do this to become a regular staff.

Even you think it that way.

Okay.

Even if that's not your intention,

this is just a job.

Is it necessary to do this?

Because this job is

very important to me.

Do you

remember

that I've told you

about the huge matter that happened

in my family

when I was in high school?

Actually, during that time,

I was so depressed.

I thought

that I couldn't take it any longer.

It was my boss's novel

that rescued me.

Didn't he write mystery novels?

It can rescue someone?

Because he did great in writing it.

So I read

all of his novels.

I didn't have the time to imagine things.

Slowly,

I went through

those hard times.

So I'm sincerely thankful for him.

He's not only good at writing novels,

he's also

a person who has great ambition.

He's a successful man

and he wants to help

those writers who have dreams.

He's done many things

that he should do

but they are unprofitable.

So I thought to myself

that whether I'll become a retired athlete

or change my career,

I also want

to become a person like him.

I'm fine even if it's only working for him.

Being able to work for him is

something worth dying for.

What kind of a job will take your life?

Isn't today's matter

dangerous?

Think about it.

What if the criminal brings weapon

with him?

Or else, why would I ask you over?

Just go and ask him

if he has brought any weapons.

Don't go!

Xiao Wudi.

Xiao Wudi.

Xiao Wudi.

What's wrong with you?

Xiao Wudi.

Xiao Wudi, you...

I can't believe he brought a dagger.

Stop talking.

I'll call an ambulance now.

No need, Nan Xing.

It's too late.

It's not too late.

It's not too late.

We have advanced

medical technology here.

Then, I...

I'll give you

all my blood.

You... Just don't fall asleep.

Nan Xing,

I might not be able to accompany you in the future.

Xiao Wudi, you...

Wake up! Xiao Wudi!

I'm sorry.

Sorry, I...

Xiao Wudi!

You're alright?

I was just joking.

Why do you cry like this?

Are you nuts?

How could you make this kind of joke?

Are you out of your mind?

Stay away from me!

Stop crying.

Look.

I'm not dead, am I?

Are you mad because I'm not dead?

Yes, indeed.

Indeed, I deserve to die.

If I die,

no one will

bully you like this again.

That's right.

If hitting me can cool you down,

just hit me more.

You should be happy now.

Think about it.

You've caught that man in black.

Then, you'll be able to become a regular staff.

Now, you should think

about how you're going to thank me.

I

can grudgingly accept your appreciation.

I can also thank you.

Thank you.

Don't be mad.

I was just

joking.

How could you make this kind of joke?

Have you thought about those who care about you?

I will never

make this kind of joke again.

When did this happen?

Why didn't you call the police

and tell me about it?

This is ridiculous.

You're not kids anymore.

Why can't you

have sense of propriety?

What if something really happens?

How are you going to explain to her family?

I was just spitballing.

Who knew she'd take it seriously?

You're her boss.

Of course she has to take your words seriously.

And you,

how could you take everything he said seriously?

I didn't think much that time.

All I thought

was how to solve

this matter.

Don't worry.

If anything happens,

I won't get the company

and you involved.

Nan Xing,

you're here to work.

You get paid for your effort.

You can resign

if you don't want this job.

I want you to work hard.

But bear this in mind.

You're not here to risk your life.

Moreover, you brought your neighbour over.

What if anything happens to him?

Xiao Wudi.

Xiao Wudi, wake up.

Xiao Wudi.

Xiao Wudi, wake up.

I'm sorry, Miss Ye.

I know I've done wrong.

You don't have to apologise.

Go and apologise

to him later.

Miss Ye, Boss,

I'm already satisfied with being able to work

in the company for days.

Thank you, I mean it.

Where are you going?

I'm going to pack my things up.

I'll come and bid farewell

to everyone if I have a chance.

What bid farewell?

You've become a regular staff.

Why do you mean by bid farewell?

A regular staff?

Yes.

Didn't he say

that he'll keep you if you catch the criminal?

I'll fulfil the promise on his behalf.

No, Miss Ye.

I didn't do this to become a regular staff.

Boss was just spitballing.

I was just spitballing.

It's not your turn yet.

I call the shots.

You may leave.

Nan Xing.

Leave.

Why did you keep it from me?

A death threat is not a small matter.

I thought

it was

just a small security issue.

I didn't need you to get involved in it.

Besides, you're so busy.

And

you've got a boyfriend.

Lu Zichen,

can you stop being so wilful?

You didn't tell me that you killed off Su Yu in the book.

And you didn't tell me

that you received a death threat.

I knew that you only like to write.

To write what you like.

To do your favourite things.

You said that you don't like to manage the company.

Okay, I'll do my best

to manage the company.

We build

this company together.

I support your dream of writing books.

I want to let

more people know about your work.

This is also my dream.

Can you please

understand me?

Can you

stop being so wilful?

Mr. Xiao, right?

Sorry to trouble you.

Never mind.

Call a cab and take Mr. Xiao home

to get some rest.

Let's go.

Why did you break into our company?

I just wanted to vent my anger.

It was just a prank.

I just wanted him

to bring Su Yu back to life.

I never thought

of hurting him.

If you really

like Su Yu,

you should respect and believe

in the person who creates her.

Without him,

the Su Yu we love would never exist.

I've called the police.

Please understand it.

Your love for her is

not an excuse to do this.

Xiao Wudi.

Well.

You don't have to thank me.

You ran into the hater today

because of your own judgement.

So there's no need to thank me.

I'm not trying to thank you.

But

indeed, I have to apologise to you.

I was mad

that you lied to me just now.

But Miss Ye was right.

I shouldn't have asked you over to take this risk.

I was wrong, sorry.

It's alright.

Anyway, I've lied to you.

Let's call it even.

What matters now is

that you've become a regular staff.

Don't think too much.

It was Miss Ye

who insisted to convert me to a regular staff.

Our boss

didn't seem to be happy.

It looks like Ye Qing, Miss Ye

and Lu Zichen

have an extraordinary relationship.

You've thought too much.

Miss Ye already has a boyfriend.

How did you know that?

I overheard it.

Overheard?

I didn't mean to do that.

It was a coincidence.

Besides, it looked like

our boss wasn't happy

about Miss Ye having a boyfriend.

Actually, I feel a bit guilty about being converted

to a regular staff.

I don't know

if the colleagues will think

that I've used improper means to get the post.

As long as you hold the job.

Why do you care what the others will think?

Anyway, just solve

all the problems

you encounter tomorrow.

Don't waste my effort

doing this

with you all night.

Okay, I understand.
