the person supplying him with the pus.

this?

Someone dabbed Tuttle, but then used a
taxidermy bear claw to make it look like

it was a mauling. What about the bear
prints on the ATV trail?

Was it used for that as well?

Yeah, and then the fur would have ended
up on the tree nearby.

That would explain the bear's low weight
and the fact that neither wildlife

control or Harvey had seen any live bear
action in the area.

So someone's trying to cover their
tracks.
