It is the one -year anniversary of her
passing.

Suicide, it's such a difficult topic
because nobody wants to talk about it,

struggling, that there are resources

that they can reach out to, and I can

room has struggled themselves.

or known someone that has struggled or
lost a loved one.

I was supposed to be at my family's
house at the exact time that my father

himself. And I lived for a long time
thinking, if only I had been there on

because I'm always late.

We know that. I now just miss him.

I miss that he's not seeing my children.

He'd be really, no.

I also learned this. He is really proud
of my children. He is really proud of me

because he's still with us.

Lorene and I met in second grade.

We were both seven years old, and we did
not like each other at all.

We would come out to the play yard and
look at each other up and down.

hurling insults at each other. I think I
blocked out what Lorene said about me,

making fun of me, but it was probably
about being short or something, because

she was very tall.

And I would make fun of her pointy ears.

And, yeah.

We were both really stubborn, so if we
had an argument, we both could not get

ourselves to say sorry. We had to come
up with a word, because saying I'm sorry

was just too difficult.

So we would say Babaloo. I do not know
why we would say Babaloo. And then we

could move on and go about our day.

But God forbid one of us could say
sorry.

But we went from that to being the best
of friends.

I am so grateful to have had Lorene in
my life and to have been her other half.

Two days before, I was talking to
Lorene.

She said to me, um, she said, I always
appreciate

your marriage.

I said, I will.

So now when we're having a hard time, I
think I'm letting her down.

I hope everyone remembers Lorena as a
beautiful, energetic, positive, funny,

smart, loving, devoted mom, wife,
daughter, sister, and friend that she

I'm overcome with so much emotion
because I know what Kyle's gone through

past year. I know how much it's
devastated her. And it's really

that she knows I'm here for her.

Tonight, as you guys know, we have a

life is too short.
