So, according to those four data

That is a rough approximation of the
boat's path.

about 20 knots.

For the boat to travel that distance,
in that time

it had to sail straight out to sea.

Somehow he sailed that boat out to sea
alive,

and came ashore dead, alone the whole
time.

How is that possible?

Because to understand the how, we have
to understand the why.

At least, that's what you assumed it
was.

That's what it looked like to us, too.

When we looked at the CCTV,

we assumed it was Brian on the boat.

knowing the cameras were far away,

you assumed that no-one would be able
to tell

that it was a different person. Or -

and this is the really bold part -

that it was a different boat.

There were two boats used in this
murder,

the Hakari that Brian sailed away and
came ashore on,

and a second boat, the boat on the
CCTV,

the boat that you, Asher, sailed away
from the dock at 10:38,

disguised as Brian.

The boats were made up to look almost
identical,

but with one small difference -

the fabric on the awning of the Hakari
is torn

and on the decoy boat, pristine.

Brian sailed away on the real boat -
the Hakari -

which you drove him to,

that was tied up at another dock.

But waiting on board hiding was your
accomplice.

Protecting themselves from the deadly
hydrogen sulphide

in scuba gear.

Then it was easy enough for the killer

to escape over the side,

leaving Brian dead on board and the
Hakari sailing out to sea.

Meanwhile, Asher is driving that boat
back to where WE found it,

picking up the killer from the water
along the way.

That is an audacious plan,

that made it look like Brian was
killed

out on the water while the killers
were on dry land.

It was a...

..watertight alibi.
