EPISODE TWO

Everyone,

make good use of the energy inside the Sacred Spirit Pond.

When you're breaking through the Nirvana Realm,

the energy will lend a helping hand.

Also,

do not dive deep into the pond.

Understood?

Yes sir.

Let's begin.

This is the Sacred Spirit Pond?

The energy here is amazing.

Everyone,

shall we?

What's happening?

The energy in this pond has

super charged the Dragon Ape blood within me

I can feel it,

the pond holds the remains of a divine beast that transcended the Nirvana Realm.

All the energy in the pond comes from it.

So it's only natural that it can

enhance the Dragon Ape Blood essence.

No wonder His Majesty warned us against going deep into the pond.

The divine beast's remains should still have some blood essence,

it will benefit our cultivation, if we can get it.

If you're interested,

let's go get some.

I guess we're not the only ones interested in the

divine beast's remains.

I'm guessing the primordial spirit inside him

also discovered the pond's secret

Let's go after them.

What are those two planning?

This is

the divine beast's remains?

It seems fragments of its soul still remains, Primeval Divine Crocodile

that's why they're using the array to seal it.

I never thought you

a lowly branch family member, would dare to follow me.

Just because the Patriarch crowned you the champion,

you really think you're something special?

If it weren't for that thing inside you helping you,

I would've already defeated you.

You really think you're Lin Clan's number one?

Since all the cards are on the table,

there's no reason to hide anymore.

They say really strong masters can condense essence into spirit,

even if their body is destroyed,

their primordial spirit can still survive

and resurrect themselves.

Mu Shi Did the person behind you tell you all of this?

Mu Shi

Mu Shi Why not invite him to this party then?

Xiao Diao I've wanted to meet you for so long.

It's just a demon spirit.

You retrieve the divine beast's blood essence.

After I devour this demon spirit,

I'll come help you.

Little demon spirit

be good and let me devour you.

I'm afraid you don't have what it takes.

What's going on?

You... who the hell are you?

Watch closely.

He...Heavenly Demonic Marten!?

Old geezer, you actually know a nothing or two.

If we were elsewhere,

I wouldn't be a match for you.

But this place is overflowing with energy,

even if you are a powerful Heavenly Demonic Marten;

today, you'll still be just a meal for me!

He can actually command this place's energy?

Energy Convergent Art!

Lin Dong,

today I will tear you to pieces!

Great Heaven's Phoenix Seal!

Great Desolation: Sea-Sundering Seal!

This is...

I'll be taking your demonic spirit!

What!?

Trying to kill me with this?

You think too highly of yourself.

Oh no!

Kid!

We should stop for now,

if we keep going,

this array won't hold up for long.

Lin Langtian,

if the soul remnant in the corpse loses control,

neither of us can handle the consequences,

and we'll end up with nothing.

How about a temporary truce?

A truce is fine,

but you must die!

You bastard!

Kid, run!

The array is broken,

the remaining souls are trying to escape.

That kid definitely won't make it out,

let's get out of here.

What's going on?

Why is there demonic spirits inside the Sacred Spirit Pond?

Watch out!

They're not easy to deal with!

These demonic spirits are trying to escape!

Kill them!

We can't let them leave this place!

What's happening?

The array at the bottom of the pond may be the problem.

Then let's go in and save them!

They are the future hope of the Great Yan Dynasty!

Wait!

Our top priority is to stabilize the barrier,

at least it can seal the ancient divine beast's soul fragment

inside the pond,

minimize our losses.

What of the Third Prince and them?

If they want to stand out in the Hundred Dynasties War,

they must weather this storm.

Lin Dong!

Wake up!

This place is actually an underground volcano vent.

Kid,

the soul fragment inside the remains has awakened.

Heavenly Scale Halberd Art:

Heavenly Dragon Halberd!

Kid,

normal attacks are useless against it.

Then what do we do?

We need to get soul fragment out of the remains,

then can we destroy it!

Kid,

you get the remains attention.

I'll deal with the soul fragment!

Come to daddy!

It worked!

Not good!

Power of Devouring!

The demonic spirits have all disappeared.

Well done, kid.

Are you alright?

I'm fine.

It's just taking on a spirit of that level

is really exhausting.

Kid, look!

This is…

... a spirit relic!?

This must be the spirit relic made by the

Primeval Divine Crocodile, while it was alive.

Demonic beasts can forge spirit relic?

Normal ones obviously don't have that power.

But looking at this Primeval Divine Crocodile,

just a fragment of its soul had so much power.

A powerful demonic beast

like that forging a spirit relic isn't a big surprise.

This is at least a earth-realm level Spirit Relic,

I guess it's an unexpected surprise.

A Spirit Relic like this,

will be of great help to you in the Hundred Dynasties War.

Also,

who knows, in the future

you might be able to summon the ancient divine beast's soul

to fight for you.

A demonic spirit like that

won't be easy to summon right?

You'd have to use powerful demonic beasts' soul as a catalyst.

It's too early to say right now,

let's just collect the blood essence first.

Alright, got the blood essence.

And now I should go back the pond and absorb its energy.

Kid, are you stupid?

What's point of going up?

This place has the highest energy concentration.

Oh yeah, how did I forget?

Lin Langtian,

what exactly happened down there?

I originally thought

Lin Dong just wanted to

absorb more of pond's energy.

But...

he tried to kill me.

I warned him not to destroy the array at the bottom,

otherwise,

it could lead to a disaster.

But in order to kill me,

he actually broke the array.

But he was consumed by the volcanic fire.

That bastard almost destroyed the imperial city!

To think Lin Dong would do something so shameless!

Lin Fan,

this is a direct result of Lin Clan's poor upbringing!

If anything were to happen to the imperial city,

the Lin Clan

must pay the price!

So despicable!

Someone is trying

shift the blame on a dead person huh?

Xiao Yan.

Don't worry, I'm fine.

Lin Dong,

you almost caused a catastrophe.

Apologize to His Majesty this instant!

I request Your Majesty's wise judgment.

Everything Lin Langtian said is a lie,

The one that really broke the barrier

is him.

Well...

Who do you believe?

They have conflicting accounts,

vastly different.

But I'm more concerned about

the situation at the bottom of the pond.

Your Majesty,

the ancient divine beast's soul fragment

was destroyed by me.

It won't endanger the imperial city anymore.

You say... you destroyed the soul fragment?

Do you have any proof?

This would it.

This is the divine beast's innate spirit relic.

Very good.

A truly impressive junior.

For centuries, the ancient divine beast's soul fragment

has plagued the imperial family.

Back when the Great Yan Dynasty was just founded,

the Primeval Divine Crocodile ravaged our land.

The Great Yan Dynasty gathered many talented cultivators,

but still couldn't defeat it.

To kill this beast,

The Great Yan Dynasty exhausted almost everything,

to recruit a master from the Supreme Sect

to subdue the beast.

But even though it's body is dead,

its soul would not perish.

Because of that,

the Great Yan Dynasty built the Sacred Spirit Pond.

To suppress the beast's lingering soul

we built an array to refine it at bottom of the pond.

But whether or not it could be refined,

no one knew the answer.

It became a thorn in the side of the imperial family.

The imperial family faced with a lack of viable options,

chose to tread carefully.

I never expected you to solve this matter,

on behalf of the imperial family, I thank you.

Your Majesty, you are too kind.

I, I was just lucky.

Such a feat

can't be achieved by mere luck.

You subdued this bone spear,

it rightfully belongs to you.

Just keep it.

Today event almost caused a great catastrophe,

fortunately, it ended on a good note.

And you lifted a great weight off of the imperial family.

This is a blessing in disguise,

let's not dwell on the twists and turns of details.

You all should go get some rest.

Five more days,

you will represent the Great Yan Dynasty

in the Hundred Dynasties War.

Yes sir.

Father,

Lin Dong subdue that bone spear all by himself,

that's rather unreasonable.

There has to be something behind it.

Why not ask him to explain everything?

He did what we could not,

if we keep pushing

and he refuses to tell us.

What can we do then?

This kid's future is limitless.

Why let something we can't control

drive a wedge between us?

On the ancient battlefield,

you must form a friendship with him.

Yes, Father.

Xiao Yan...

is going to be okay right?

Don't worry.

Although the Primeval Divine Crocodile's blood essence is really violent,

but with this dumb cat's body,

absorbing it won't be a problem.

It's like this now,

because he's absorbing the essence and evolving.

Once he's done, he'll be even more ferocious.

That sounds great,

us nearly dying for it wasn't all for nothing.

Even though dumb cat is ordinary,

his mutated body

with all the treasures you gave it,

is how he got here today.

Once we enter the ancient battlefield,

let's just find strong demonic beast's bloodline for it,

Its future is limitless.

I heard demon beasts reaching Nirvana Realm

can transform into human form.

Xiao Yan will be able to become human too?

If this dumb cat can overcome the Nirvana tribulation, of course.

But,

transform into human means nothing,

it's still a dumb cat.

Also,

the Hundred Dynasties War is a

gathering of the most talented ones

from all the dynasties of the Eastern Xuan Region.

You need to be prepared.

I know.

But Lin Langtian, you need to keep an eye on him.

He got the short end of the stick today

and he's going to want payback.

I hope I can see her again

in the ancient battlefield.

Greetings, Master.

Nineth Level Nirvana Realm

Nineth Level Nirvana Realm Qingzhu humbly await master's orders.

Qingzhu,

there's something I need you to investigate.

What is it master?

Qingzhu,

the Hundred Dynasties War is about to begin.

But, the ancient battlefield has

been experiencing unusual disturbances.

I would like you to go there

and investigate.

Qingzhu will carry out Master's orders faithfully.

boundless, barren wasteland

hanging by a thread

running to the mountain's top
