was a requirement for stage two.

Some patients may opt to wait
somewhere between two to six weeks

to allow an underlying condition
to resolve

or to get a second opinion

or to get their life and affairs
in order prior to surgery.

But it is fair to worry about surgery
given your mother's hypertension.

During surgery,
we might see blood pressure spikes,

cardiac ischemia, and possibly stroke,
which could be fatal.

an underlying condition

worth pausing for.

Well, we can't ensure that we can
get it under control in that time frame.

And the chances of becoming
stage three or stage four is far riskier.
