(explosion) - Illusion.

The art of tricking the brain,

distorting the senses,

challenging perception.

You can't trust what you see

even with your own eyes.

Meet the Masters of Illusion. (explosion)

(audience clapping) (dramatic music)

(air whooshing)

(audience cheering)

Welcome to a world where the boundaries of reality blur.

I'm Dean Cain, and you're watching "Masters of Illusion".

(audience cheering)

Well, tonight, you're in for an experience

that will challenge your senses,

and that's what makes this show so thrilling to host.

There's always something new,

always something that leaves me as stunned

(audience clapping) as you are.

Ed Alonzo. That stuns me right there.

Hello. - Thank you.

I am stunning. - You are stunning.

You are definitely stunning.

- Dean, I know you love magic,

and I want to help you learn the process

the magicians go through to create a trick.

- Good 'cause I don't know anything.

I enjoy it. - I know a little bit

more than that. - Okay.

- This is the classic dove from hanky.

I'm still working on it.

So, check this out.

Come on, little fella.

Come on.

Uh-huh. - Oh.

- Oh, yes.

I'm about a quarter a way there.

- Yeah. - So, I'm still working on it.

- That's good.

That's well done.

That's good.

That's Ed Alonzo, ladies and gentlemen.

(audience clapping)

Get ready to witness the magic

of a performer who has dedicated his life

to perfecting the art of illusion.

His performances are a seamless blend

of tradition and innovation,

making every single show a unique experience.

Please give it up for Jonathan Levit.

(audience cheering) (light music)

- Nice to meet you. - Nice to meet you.

(light music) - I hope you find this fun.

Hello.

Izzy, thank you so much for helping me.

- Thank you for having me.

- You're, well, you're very welcome.

I'm happy that you're here.

Izzy, we have a deck of cards.

Do you play cards?

- Not super well.

- No? - No.

- Perfect. - Okay.

(audience laughing)

- Izzy, I've just shuffled those cards.

- Okay. - Now, there are 52 cards

in a deck of cards.

You know that?

- Yes.

- Would you name a number 1 through 52?

- 13.

- Wow.

That's a scary number, Izzy.

Do you wanna change your mind or no?

- No.

- Final answer? - Yes.

- You could if you want to.

There's a lot of cards in that deck.

It could be anything other than 13.

Or 13. It's up to you, really.

- 13. 13.

13. - Final answer?

- Final answer. - Okay.

13. Right?

- Yes. - Okay.

Now, Izzy, I don't know.

I was a math teacher when I,

I wanted to be a math teacher growing up.

So, I'm very interested in statistics.

There are 52 cards in that deck.

You realize by shuffling those cards, which I just did,

that puts them in an order

that basically will never be seen again.

The possible combinations of cards

in a shuffled deck of cards is 52

and 50 zeros behind it.

That's a lot of combinations.

- Yeah. - This is something

that you and I share.

And no, it will never happen again.

But I did have a thought that you and I would be here.

I had a premonition.

- Okay. - And I made it public.

- Okay.

- Do you have, you have your phone?

- I do. - Now, I didn't tell you

what I wanted you to do with it, did I?

- No.

- Do you have Instagram on that phone?

- I do. - Oh, you do.

Okay. Good, good, good, good, good.

Would you go to Instagram?

- Yes.

Let's see. (laughs)

- I'd like you to find me.

I'm Jonathan Levit.

J-O-N-A-T-H-A-N.

- Oh, J-O-N. (laughs)

- My name should be at the bottom of the screen about now.

Last name is Levit.

A-N. A-N.

- A-N. - A-N. A-N.

- Gosh, I can't spell. - That's okay.

That's all right.

And Levit. L-E-V-I-T.

That's one T at the end. - Mm-hm.

- That's me right there. - Okay.

- Right? - There you go.

- Now, that's my Instagram account.

- Okay. - I put something

in my Instagram. - Okay.

- Would you do me a favor and say,

read out loud what I put in my bio yesterday?

- "I thought you would say two of diamonds."

(light music)

(audience laughing) - So much.

(audience laughing)

Pretty good. I mean, right?

Did you?

Oh, you didn't say the two of diamonds?

- No. - What did you say?

- 13.

- You said 13? - Yes.

- I said the two of diamonds.

- Yes.

(light music)

(audience laughing) (Izzy laughing)

- From a shuffled deck of cards.

- Yes.

- That will never be in that order ever again.

- Correct.

- Should we see?

- Sure.

(light music)

- Keep me honest. - Okay.

- One, two, three, four,

five, six, seven, eight, nine,

10, 11, 12,

13.

Not 14, 15, 16, 17, or any of these.

You said 13.

I said the two of diamonds.

(light music)

Thank you very much.

(audience clapping)

Thank you, Izzy. - Thank you.

- Thank you so much.

(audience clapping)

- Tonight's performer is a magician

who specializes in the art of the impossible.

With grand illusions that challenge reality

and escape acts that flirt with danger,

he has become a crowd favorite across the globe.

Please welcome the brilliant Mike Hammer.

(audience cheering)

- We are here with Anthony and Brittany.

You're Anthony. Yes?

They tell me. All right.

And Brittany, one of you two's

gonna stand here in this thing here.

It's called the Hoop of Solitude.

Brittany, it'll be you, okay?

If you could stand in the Hoop of Solitude.

Step right over here.

Okay.

There you go. Good, good, good.

Brittany, I'm gonna have you put this jacket on.

It's completely contrasting with that outfit,

but it is fine.

You look good. It's television.

Your hair is caught. Let's help you out with that.

If you can open up the right hand side of the jacket,

Brittany, there's a handkerchief in the pocket.

Pull that handkerchief out of the pocket.

Go ahead, open it up.

Hold that in just your right hand.

I've got some rope over here.

Got some rope over here.

Sir, check out the rope.

Make sure it looks like the same kind

you tie your victims up with.

(audience laughing)

Same kind. Toss it up here, please on the count of three.

(audience laughing)

One.

That guy is not good with high numbers.

Anthony, I want you to grab the ends of the rope.

Tie it around my wrist as tight as you can.

Tighter. Like a man would do.

(audience laughing)

There you go. Pull it as tight as you want.

Yes! And another knot.

Another knot. Dos knots.

We are in California. Dos knots.

(audience laughing)

Tight, tight, tight.

Good, good, good.

My hands will be tied together behind my back.

So, if you could grab the ends of the rope,

pull it around my other wrist.

Tie it as tight as you can.

Whoop. Just the rope, sir.

(audience laughing)

Tie that around as tight as you possibly can.

Oh yeah, you're getting into it now.

All right.

Two knots? Two knots?

Yes. Another one.

Another. Whoo.

Thank you, sir. Thank you.

That is amazing.

Brittany, can you open up the right hand side of the jacket?

You're gonna put the handkerchief back inside.

Show the audience what you're doing

so they can see it going inside there.

This is a pickpocket demonstration.

My hands are tied,

and yet I will attempt to steal the handkerchief

from that pocket.

It's gonna happen so fast, you won't feel a thing.

And I bet you've heard that before.

(audience laughing)

Okay.

You guys ready?

Here's the deal.

I will not touch you. I promise.

Hands are tied.

But I do need to stand inside the Hoop of Solitude with you.

It's my job.

(audience laughing) (light music)

I need you to bend over.

Not you, Brittany.

Anthony, I need you to bend over,

pick up the hoop of solitude.

Yeah, if we could do this in real time,

that would be fantastic.

You're gonna lift it up.

Wait, sir, I'm talking.

In a moment, you're gonna lift it above my head.

When I yell "Now", you'll drop it.

Does that make sense?

Lift it up! Lift it up!

Wait! Now!

Now! Hold on.

Hold on. Hold on.

Wait. Wait.

(audience laughing)

It's not, no,

first of all, it's not hers, it's his.

(audience laughing)

Secondly, my hands are tied. All right?

All right, we're gonna, easy, buddy.

Okay?

We're gonna try this again.

Check it out. Is the rope, is it still tight?

- Yeah. - How about the rope?

(audience laughing)

Good, right?

All right, let's go ahead.

Same thing as before, Anthony. Just pick it up.

There you go. Lift it up.

Lift it up. Lift it up.

Hold it right, lift it up. Lift, lift.

But hold it right about there.

For my safety, you need to keep your hands at your side.

Ooh, whoa. Your side.

All right, lift it up, Anthony!

What's a nice lady like you doing in a place like,

wait, wait. (laughs)

(audience laughing) Drop it!

I got it!

I got it!

I got it. I got it.

(audience laughing)

Untie me quick.

(audience laughing)

Oh my God, I am so sorry you had to see that.

Today, Anthony. Today.

Give it up for Brittany and Anthony, everybody.

(audience cheering)

Thank you.

Just go. Just go.

That's the end of my career.

(audience cheering) (light music)

(explosion)

- [Dean] Coming up, children's games with Joseph Reohm.

- I would love to challenge you to a game of tic-tac-toe.

- [Dean] And later, Anna Dangerous takes aim.

"Masters of Illusion" is just getting started.

(audience cheering) (explosion)

(upbeat music) (audience cheering)

(upbeat music) (audience cheering)

(air whooshing)

- Get ready for a performance that blends humor,

magic, and mind-blowing illusions.

Please, give it up for the phenomenal Joseph Reohm.

(audience cheering)

- Come on up.

Very good.

I usually have to trick people and twist arms.

But you guys are gonna be great.

Do me a favor. Stand right over here, right next to me.

And if you can do me a favor, stand right over here.

What's your name?

- Derek. - Derek, thank you

so much for coming up.

What's your name?

- Christina. - Christina, thank you

so much for coming up.

Now, have you guys ever played the game,

and in the audience, raise your hand

if you ever played the game Noughts and Crosses.

(light music)

You have.

You know, you guys are, like, confused.

The game is more commonly known as tic-tac-toe.

This was, yeah.

(light music)

Thank you, Stacy.

This was my favorite game to play when I was a little boy.

It gave me an opportunity to see how people think

when they're under a little pressure,

when the environment has changed.

I would love to challenge you to a game of tic-tac-toe.

Now, I have the microphone, so I'll start.

(audience laughing)

But I'll keep that neutral.

I'll put the first one right there.

You can put your first X anywhere you like.

Where would you like to put it?

- Top right.

- Top right.

That's right here.

There it is.

And then I'll put my next one right here.

And go ahead and scoot forward so you can see the game.

We'll play that. That's good.

Where would you like to put your next X?

(light music)

- Middle.

- Middle top. I see what you did there.

Very good.

And then we'll go, how about right here?

(light music)

Perfect. You got your third X.

Where would you like to put it?

- Bottom right. - Bottom right.

Okay, cool. Very good.

And then we'll go, how about?

Kidding.

(audience laughing) (Brittany laughing)

All right, you've got one more.

Where would you like to put it?

- The middle left.

- Middle left. Okay, cool.

That goes there.

And then that leaves us with one last piece.

And then here we got, okay, so nobody won.

There's no three in a row.

But I played this a lot as a little boy.

I played it so much that I could predict

every move my opponent would make.

And that is the exact game I was hoping we'd play.

Another thing I loved to do when I was a little boy,

I loved to draw, and I would draw on everything.

And when I ran outta paper, I would draw on the table,

the walls, the windows.

And instead of getting in trouble,

my father, he gave me a gift.

He said, "Joseph, this is a sketch pad.

Put your drawings in here and they will last forever.

Draw on the table, the walls, and the windows again,

and you will not."

(audience laughing)

Parents could say that in the '80s.

My friend over here,

my favorite thing to draw was future careers.

I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up.

So this is the first time I did.

I wanted to be a police officer.

But I was thinking, you know, if I don't do that,

I better have backup options.

'Cause I'm a magician

and I don't have a real career, I guess.

Still looking for one.

I need you to do me a favor.

I drew 15 of my favorite careers in here.

Name any page.

We already know one is police officer.

Please name any page between 1 and 15.

- 12. - 12.

Okay, let's take a look at them.

I'll flip through them. You'll see each

one is different. One was police officer.

If you would've said two, that would've been a chef.

If you would've said three, that's a rock star.

That would've been a really cool one.

My dad was a rock star.

Ah, I could've been a teacher.

I will skip through. We've got a construction worker.

Oh, that's a real job.

(audience laughing) Ninja.

I wanted to be a ninja so bad.

There's nurse. That would've been cool.

You said 12. Yeah?

Eight is clown. I'm kind of that now.

Firefighter. That would've been cool.

10 would've been a boxer.

11, that would've been a postal worker.

And you said 12.

Ah, that's a cool one.

Astronaut.

I would always look up into space,

and I would just wish I could be an astronaut.

Here's what's crazy about what just happened.

There's 288,165 combinations to play tic-tac-toe.

We played that game.

If you would've made one wrong move,

what I'm about to show you would never work.

Out of all of my dream careers,

if you would've chose any other page,

this would not work.

You guys remember I said I used to draw on everything?

(light music)

I still do.

(audience gasping)

(audience clapping) (light music)

Thank you so much for helping me. I appreciate it.

Thank you so much. Appreciate you.

(audience clapping) (light music)

(explosion) - [Dean] Coming up,

would you lend Dan Sperry

your wedding ring?

- So, we just met.

You probably don't trust me. I don't blame you.

- [Dean] And later, you won't believe

what's in Boris Wild's mystery deck.

- It's the mystery deck!

- [Dean] "Masters of Illusion"

has more tricks up its sleeve.

- Yeah! You rock, baby!

(explosion)

(upbeat music)

(upbeat music)

(air whooshing)

- Get ready for a magic experience like no other.

This performer combines shock and awe

with incredible sleight of hand,

leaving audiences both thrilled and bewildered.

Please give a very warm welcome

to the unforgettable Dan Sperry.

(audience cheering) (upbeat music)

- Hey!

Magic show!

Thank you guys for coming to see us.

The 11th season of "Masters of Illusion".

Thank you guys for tuning in 11 seasons.

You've seen some of us almost grow up and grow older

right before your eyes through the screen.

Except for Dean, he hasn't aged a wrinkle.

He looks exactly the same from 11 years.

He must be hanging out with you Hollywood weirdos

getting dressed up like owls

and drinking blood in the woods.

Speaking of sorcery,

we're gonna throw it back to old wizardry and sorcery

right now for the 11th season.

I'm gonna go old school.

Like Harry Potter stuff.

You guys like Harry Potter.

You know, wizardry.

That first book, amazing, right?

So, I need to be stoned.

I am. I mean, I need to borrow a stone.

And the most important stone

is the one that represents love, right?

Like a wedding ring or something that's so tiny.

I need to find, you just glanced down at that one.

That's actually a nice ring. What's your name?

- Shawna. - Shawna. Shawna, I'm Dan.

Can I borrow that ring, if you don't mind?

Just you can stand up right here.

Everybody, Shawna. Yay!

(audience clapping)

Shawna, it's everybody.

But I don't know their names, so it doesn't matter.

Nobody cares.

Shawna, we're gonna use that magical ring,

that power of love, right?

That's your, and you said wedding ring.

- Wedding ring. - I understand this

is something very important.

Holds sentimental value. It's very special.

Those of you that have these types of things can understand.

So, we just met.

You probably don't trust me. And I don't blame you.

So, as collateral, (audience laughing)

as collateral, I'm gonna give you the keys to my car

if that's cool with you.

The car's not here.

(audience laughing)

It's in Poughkeepsie.

It got towed, impounded.

They didn't buy the limp.

So, this is the impound ticket

that you get to keep just in case.

So you can take this to Poughkeepsie.

They'll tell you what you can do with it.

So, go ahead. Hang on to that.

Like I said, as, like, the collateral.

And let's see that ring.

How's that ring look? What?

So, go ahead and take off that ring.

You got that ring, and that's a,

that's your engagement ring, is it?

- Technically, it's my engagement ring.

- Oh, congratulations.

Yeah. Oh, and is he here?

- No. - No.

Oh, it's his weekend with the kids.

You're partying at the "Masters of Illusion" taping.

(audience laughing)

I will go ahead and have a look at it, though.

Very nice. Looks expensive.

(light music)

I guess you shouldn't know this information probably.

But ma'am, you're a woman. Women know jewelry.

You would agree. You've got some nice rings.

So, I imagine you would be able to recognize

this ring if you saw it again.

- Yes. - Sure.

Sir, you look like you know jewelry.

(light music)

- Thanks. - Ish.

If you saw this ring, you would maybe recognize it again.

You certainly would

because this is your engagement ring, right?

Congratulations, by the way.

If you could just pinch your fingers,

I'm gonna have you hold onto it like a little basket.

Don't let anything come or go.

Hold onto it tight.

Because much like those ancient magicians,

those sorcerers from times gone by,

we use the ancient magic words.

Hat hibachi.

(cloth snapping) And like,

okay.

(audience laughing)

Should we take that again?

Sorry, hang on.

Is there a hole in this?

Is there a hole?

Hey, you know what? (audience laughing)

You've been holding

that folded up tow ticket the entire time.

I haven't touched it. I haven't come close to you.

Go ahead, unfold that.

(light music)

That's the address you're gonna wanna go to

to get the car.

But I feel almost like we have a connection now, right?

Name a number one through five out loud.

Go. - Three.

- Three. Ama... nope.

Okay, you know what we're gonna do?

All right, listen up. I did say.

I'll be honest, this didn't quite go so right.

We had a little hiccup.

I did promise you and say, in all honesty,

I'd give you the keys to my car.

You can't get the car started.

This is the most important key that I have to,

you gotta blow in that.

And you might not need it.

You might not need it. (audience laughing)

But the most important key, like I said,

key to a woman's heart, right?

And that's the most important key that I keep on my keys.

I'm not sure if you can see on that key ring

right there in the middle,

there actually is one ring locked in with all the others.

Yes or no, is that your ring?

Let's confirm with the lady. Is that hers?

Is that hers, sir?

It is.

You get to keep this if I can get it off.

(audience clapping)

All the way.

That is for you as well as one more round of applause.

And I guess it's up to me to get my car back.

But maybe I'll pick you up sometime.

Magic show!

Goodbye.

(light music) (audience clapping)

(explosion)

- [Dean] Coming up, you won't believe

what's in Boris Wild's mystery deck.

- It's the mystery deck!

- [Dean] And later, Anna Dangerous takes aim.

"Masters of Illusion" will reappear.

(audience clapping)

- Yeah! You rock, baby!

(upbeat music)

(explosion)

(upbeat music)

(upbeat music) (audience cheering)

(air whooshing)

- This act features a magician

whose creativity and expertise

have set a new standard in closeup magic.

He's a true artist of the craft,

and his performances have captivated audiences worldwide.

Coming all the way from France,

please welcome the one and only Boris Wild.

(audience cheering) (upbeat music)

- Ooh la la. (laughs)

Bonjour!

Hello. My name is Boris Wild.

I come from Paris, France.

And as you all know,

there are 52 cars in a deck, right?

Oh, yes.

All the clubs, the spades,

the hearts, and the diamonds

from ace to king, obviously.

I need to have a card selected at random.

And I'm going to need tonight,

my assistant is right here,

and yeah, I hope he's awake.

Yeah, apparently he heard us.

It's the Magic Bunny.

(audience laughing)

I know.

I know. He's cute, right?

So, he's going to help us to have a card selected at random,

you know, by several people from the audience, okay?

And so in a moment, the Magic Bunny may fly over you.

So, if you see him coming to you, please catch him, okay?

So, three, two, one.

Fly!

Whoo! Here we go.

Oh, perfect. Hello.

Your name?

- Summer. - Summer.

All right, Summer.

In the deck of cards here,

there are red cards and black cards, obviously.

Please choose red or black, and say it out loud.

- Black. - Black cards.

Perfect. Okay.

Can you throw the bunny to someone else

in the audience, please?

Throw the bunny. Throw it.

Throw the bunny.

Yes. Ooh!

Oh wow. Okay.

That was good. (laughs)

Hello, your name?

- Paula. - Paula.

All right, Paula. You said black cards, right?

In the black cards, we have the clubs

and the spades, obviously, right?

So, please choose clubs or spades, and say it out loud.

- Club. - Clubs. Okay, perfect.

And can you throw bunny one last time to one last person?

Oh my God, look at that.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

Is it Dean Cain? No, it's Magic Bunny.

(audience laughing)

All right, your name?

- Shay. - Shay. All right.

So, you know there are, you said clubs, right?

Okay. Yeah.

And on the clubs,

you know, there are 13 different values.

Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, jack, queen, king.

From ace to king.

Please choose one of those values, and say it out loud.

- Jack. - The jack. All right.

Can you throw the Magic Bunny back to me, please,

at the count of three?

Oh. All right.

Okay, don't worry. Don't worry.

He's okay.

I train him as a stuntman.

(audience laughing)

Or like a stunt bunny, I would say.

Yes. You like flying?

You like that? Oh, yeah, you really like that.

Okay, well, now it's,

yeah, okay, well, now it's time to go back to bed.

Yeah, I know.

Yeah, we're gonna see Dean after

'cause you still need a little practice, you know,

to fly like him.

Yes? You're fine?

Okay, he's good.

All right, what happened here, you know?

With a little Magic Bunny,

we have three people chosen at random in the audience,

and each of you made some free choices.

First, you said black.

Then it was club. Is that right?

Club, and then?

- Jack. - The jack. All right.

To create one random card, the jack of clubs

that no one could have known in advance, right?

So, no red cards.

No spades.

Just one card among the clubs.

The jack of clubs.

Exactly that card here, right?

So, now I need to show you something

which is a little interesting

'cause it's been here sitting on the table

the entire time from the beginning,

before we did anything.

Before the bunny flew to you, it was here.

It's the mystery deck.

Ooh!

I know. I know. (audience laughing)

This deck is a special deck

that you have probably never seen before.

Oh, yeah.

So, I'm going to show you

'cause it's quite unique, I would say.

Oh, yeah, no. Sorry, I forgot.

Oh my God. It's the mystery deck.

I cannot just, you know,

show you the mystery deck like this.

You need to make a little intro for that.

Like a special entrance.

So, can I have a little drum roll, please?

Yes. Yeah, perfect. (drum roll)

You can do it. Yeah, perfect.

Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it.

(drum roll)

The mystery deck!

Hey. I know.

Okay, well, I hope it won't disappoint

because when I show you from that side,

you know, it's kinda, you know, it's just the backs

of the card, which is pretty normal, I would say.

But it's not this side which is interesting.

It's the other side.

Because I have backs here, but on the other side,

look, look, look, look.

I also have backs. I know. (audience laughing)

With this deck, I realize I have backs

at the back of backs, in fact, yeah.

You know? Yeah, I know.

When I bought it, I didn't know.

Of course, I thought it was a regular deck, but it wasn't.

It was misprinted.

Yeah. Apparently, it's very rare.

The problem when you're a magician,

what kind of trick can you do with that?

Seriously, what can you do?

I come here, like "Masters of Illusion".

Beautiful audience.

Someone takes a card, any card at random,

I show the card to everyone, okay?

Well, right side. Wrong, whatever.

Okay, it's the same anyway. You're fine.

So, we just lose the cards somewhere like this (whistles)

in the middle, okay?

And usually, we shuffle the cards right after.

And here, I can shuffle however I want because it's fine.

I can just spread the cards like this.

You know, with the backs up here.

I can turn this one over with the backs down. It's okay.

And then I can shuffle however I want

because they're all backs anyway.

And if I do that,

I snap my fingers and immediately I can find the card.

Yay!

(audience laughing) Yeah, I know. I know.

Usually, it's a great trick.

With this deck, it's a little stupid. And I know why.

Because it's just, we use too many cards.

It's way more interesting if we just use a few cards only.

Let me show you here what I mean.

If we just take a few cards here.

We got one, we got two, we got three, we got four.

Let's go with four to save some times, okay?

There is a rule in magic I must tell you about.

When you have special cards like these ones,

never, ever, ever use them

with a normal card like this one.

But I'm going to break that rule tonight

because it's "Masters of Illusion".

Because I'm French.

So, you know we don't care about rules anyway. (laughs)

(audience laughing)

So, I'm going to do this normal card

that you created randomly earlier

with the special cards here.

Yes? I've never done it before, at least on this show.

So, let's see what happens.

(tense music)

(audience clapping)

(tense music)

(audience clapping)

(tense music)

(audience cheering)

(tense music)

And voila! (audience cheering)

Come on!

Whoo!

Hey!

(audience cheering)

I know.

(tense music) (audience cheering)

Yes! Exactly.

All jack of clubs,

just like the card you created randomly earlier.

It's kind of cool.

I like it. It's nice.

But I'm sorry to say, it's not fast enough.

It's not ooh la la enough.

Oh, no.

It would be really ooh la la

if I could take those cards and wave them like this

over the special deck

to get immediately 52 jack of clubs

exactly like your card. (audience cheering)

And that's it.

(audience cheering)

Thank you.

(tense music) (audience clapping)

(explosion) - [Dean] Coming up,

will you pass Alexandra Duvivier's IQ test?

- Yeah! You rock, baby!

(upbeat music)

Wow.

- [Dean] And later, Anna Dangerous takes aim.

"Masters of Illusion" has wonders in store.

(explosion)

to the extraordinary Alexandra Duvivier.

(audience cheering) (upbeat music)

Thank you so much.

Thank you so very much.

And you know what?

I wanted to share something

with you, experience about magician.

You know, when you write a script or a scenario for a show,

you know, you have seen so many tricks, one after the other.

So you know what I do?

I will propose you either an intermission or a game.

Okay, a game.

You are unpredictable like I am, so that's fantastic.

This is a very easy game.

It is called Ding Bats.

(audience laughing)

Oh, I see.

I have made some studies.

You mean that Ding Bat is an insult?

(audience laughing)

I'm sorry. No, no, no, no.

I'm not insulting you at all.

This is the name of the game.

Let me show you.

Sorry. Ooh la la.

So French, so sassy.

(audience laughing)

Hello.

You're going to understand rhetoric.

So, begin by here.

With a few letters, you will get

a sentence or something, you know.

(upbeat music)

- I understand. - I understand.

- I understand. Exactly.

Thank you very much for being here.

You were alone, but that was nice.

I understand. (audience laughing)

I have forgotten to say that that was a game

you need to think.

(upbeat music)

(audience laughing)

So let's move on.

I promise, next one, everybody will guess it.

Ready?

- [Together] Jack in the box.

- You are amazing. Fast learners.

I love it. Next one.

- Top secret. - Top secret.

- Yeah, great job. You are amazing.

And this one. The color doesn't help.

It's more something about music.

I heard it.

It is from Schubert.

- Unfinished symphony. - Oh, yeah. That's amazing.

Unfinished symphony! (audience clapping)

Yeah! You rock, baby!

(audience clapping)

Wow!

What a crowd.

There is a very high potential in Ding Bats tonight.

You know what I do?

Let's do it French way.

Each good answer, a gift.

Don't thank me.

Okay. (audience laughing)

Yet.

Let's see what I can propose you.

Hello.

What do you see?

Here. Center of gravity.

Beam.

(audience laughing)

(audience clapping)

Great day. So, this is a gift for you, my dear.

This is a puzzle with these little tiny bubbles.

You need to make a pyramid.

A gift for you.

I am like that. French. (audience clapping)

So French.

Hello. Let's move on.

You're ready there, huh?

Let's see what I have.

- Yeah! Amazing! (audience clapping)

Growing old.

That's so cool.

You know, I have also something for you.

This is not that you need it,

but it's a mint sweet.

(audience laughing)

This is the only thing left I have to give.

(audience laughing)

For you, sweetheart.

Oui, oui, oui.

A big hand for the lady.

(audience clapping)

Hello. What do I have next?

One of my, oh, yeah, one of my favorite.

Are you ready?

(upbeat music)

- Hello. Almost.

(upbeat music)

I be

Come on! (audience laughing)

So, it was you. - It was.

- Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I saw it.

That was a big challenge.

So it's a big gift. Let's see.

I have here a DVD, a show from my dad on DVD.

(audience laughing)

In French.

(audience clapping)

You're going to improve your French.

I'm joking. In English.

DVD players are in the hall.

(audience laughing)

For you, my dear.

(audience clapping)

Great job.

(audience clapping)

This is amazing. Yeah, this is exactly that.

Ooh la la.

That deserves a big prize.

This is a magic wand.

(audience laughing)

For beginners. I'm sorry.

(audience laughing)

You all need to start somewhere.

For you.

(audience clapping)

Merci.

(audience clapping)

I can see that you are champions in Ding Bats,

but you know what, let's face it.

I am the world champion in tic-tac-toe.

Sorry about that.

(audience laughing)

Thank you very much, guys!

(upbeat music) (audience clapping)

(air whooshing)

- This next performer is no stranger to danger.

Now, what you're about to witness involves precision,

nerve, and a level of risk

that few should or would dare to attempt.

With every act, she flirts on the edge of danger,

combining elegance with peril.

Please welcome the fearless, I'm scared of her,

Anna Dangerous.
