House Haller Jack Macau has a monster mission ahead of him.

This shift is a little bit different because we're

running two nights in a row.

They won't let us travel the whole way in one hit.

From Naringberg,

Jack will lead a two-track convoy north past

Guimpi on its recently completed bypass before stopping to

rest at Marmor.

They will then continue to their destination at Makai

using the notorious Bruce Highway.

As soon as you're north of Guimpi, Bruce turns

rep for truck crashes.

I run the boys here, so I've got a

couple of crews running.

As the team leader,

Jack carries the weight of responsibility representing the company

and supervising the staff.

Rocky Driver Andrew Tatno is in just his second year at Macchiun Suns.

Andrew's been going right lately so

I started driving tracks when I was 19.

My dad's got a contracting company so I started with him.

When I first started driving we were driving no

18 speeds and then we eventually swapped everything out

MacIan Suns used Mac Superliners with specially tuned motors

running 730 horsepower paired with specialist lift trailers.

This trailer we've got now is one of our

new ones so it's got a lot of radios.

So I can tell how high I am.

The change is all the flyers are drived so

don't have to be checking when asking a pilot any information.

Costing an eye-watering $1.2million,

Jack's computerised trailer is one of the company's largest investments.

That's pretty expensive but you definitely need to make

sure you go to work coming in.

now so it would be nice to see how much time it saves us.

Legendary Aussie trucker Steve Graham has come to an

expensive standstill in the isolated tropical far north of Western Australia.

This job is part of a serious setup to

keep some communities going through the wet season.

What it is is an oversized fuel tank that's

going into a little community called Ringers Soca at

the back of Halls Creek.

Steve is working as part of a team using

an 80-ton crane to install three fuel tanks

in three tiny communities, but there's been a frustrating delay.

Cranes hydraulic tank has been split in it.

They get a bracelet in the

Steve has already traveled over 2 ,700 kilometres from

Perth to the Tanemi track turn-off.

His tank needs to be delivered to ring a

soak on the Duncan Road, but he can't unload

until the crane is repaired.

couple of days.

Everything's gonna be loaded with credit if you don't grease it.

It's metal on metal and it'll tear itself to

pieces pretty quick.

That's how a 30-year -old truck stays on

the road and keeps doing its job,

probably. This engine cost me $64 ,000 and then

I spent another $110 ,000 on the installation and

new wiring, new filters,

you know, so much.

After stumping up more than $150 ,000 of his

and cash on upgrading his age in Kenworth,

Steve can't afford downtime.

A lot of it's about money.

Calling subcontractors and friends and making new plans to

cover the jobs that I can't do because I'm

sitting here waiting.

This tank's got to get there and set these

people up for a wet season.

Once the wet comes in properly, they're isolated.

The last 15minutes it's cooled right down and

dropped 10 degrees.
