And that means more traffic, more
accidents, and

also more rage.

This

is where the rubber beats the road.

When it comes to avoiding an altercation
on the road,

One effective method is to be tolerant
and forgiving of the other driver.

And while no approach is foolproof,

this one is certainly more likely to
produce positive results

than doing the exact opposite.

altercation began when she was trying to

pass through this alleyway.

considered vehicles when on the road and

subject to the same laws and regulations
as automobiles because the traffic is

scratched by someone on a bicycle.

can be just as dangerous as someone in a

In Atlanta, according to an incident
report, the officer in the squad car

the dash cam observed this bicyclist cut
in front of this black SUV.

and impede the flow of traffic.

And after giving the bicyclist three
verbal commands over the PA system to

his bike over to the right when riding
on this road, which, according to the

report, he ignored, the officer decides
to pull him over.

But the bicyclist continues to ignore

the officer.

And then... The

officer moves to intercept

him.

But before he can even get out of the
car... The

biker has allegedly struck the vehicle
and taken off.

And though the officer is quick to
pursue, keeping pace with the

bike in this traffic is no easy task.

As the officer attempts

to cut him off again, another driver

informs him that the biker has doubled
back.

Now,

with traffic at a standstill,

The officer seizes the opportunity.

As

the

biker doubles back into traffic yet
again, the officer deploys his taser.

But misses.

Now, the biker has gained even more
ground.

And the officer will need backup

to help intercept him.

Which he gets.

With two other units closing in on the
biker from behind.

And another one just ahead.

But the biker continues to squeeze
through until all four units converge.

And finally, cut him off.

The man is arrested.

Stand by.

And according to the incident report,
when officers searched his belongings,

They find what appears to be illegal
drugs. That one looks like, isn't that

crap? That's crap, okay.

All right, put your butt in first, boss
man.

The biker is charged with multiple
crimes, including fleeing and eluding,

getting run, and possession of a
controlled substance.

A major and unexpected outcome from an
incident that began

as a simple request to follow the rules
of biking on the road.

According to the FHA, 75 % of weather
-related vehicle accidents occur on wet

pavement, and many of them are due to
hydroplaning,

a phenomenon that happens when your
car's tires

actually lose contact with the wet road
and begin sliding on a thin layer of

water, making it nearly impossible to
control.

And unfortunately, it doesn't take much
water for it to happen.

A driver in an SUV approaches an exit
just after a light rainfall.

Even though there are obvious puddles on
the shoulder, the lane itself appears

clear.

But there seems to be just enough water
to affect the vehicle's traction,

causing it to spin off into the grass.

And finally, land on its

side.

Amazingly, the driver seems relatively
unharmed and takes a minute to collect

himself.

As bystanders who witnessed the crash
approach to check on him.

All things considered, it could have
been much worse.

And it serves as a great reminder.

To keep your tires well maintained.

And always proceed with extra caution
when driving

in any kind of wet conditions.

It goes without saying that any accident
on the road involving a large truck is

potentially catastrophic.

truck ramps, which allow trucks that

have lost their brakes to pull off the
road onto a steep incline and hopefully

come to a safe stop.

Unfortunately, not every locale can
accommodate these ramps.

In Ohio, as a semi approaches the crest
of a hill,

The driver spots a stopped school bus
down below that's picking up children.

But when the trucker applies the brakes,

they

fail.

And with traffic stopped for the bus in
the opposite lane, the semi,

Has nowhere to go.

Good God, he is amazing.

As the semi's driver blasts the horn, a
car pulls off to the right.

And with oncoming traffic stopped for
the bus, the only clear path is through

this narrow gap.

Made slightly wider by this truck
quickly reversing into the car behind

Semi's driver breathes a well -earned
sigh of relief.

And a short while later, the school
bus's dash cam appears to capture the

on the side of the road.

There are no injuries reported.

It's unknown why the brakes failed, but
thanks to quick thinking by the pickup

driver and deft driving by the trucker.

Live. were most certainly saved.

In Houston, Texas, a reminder to always
check your blind spots,

no matter how small.

That was an accident, apparently.

In a quiet Phoenix neighborhood, a
security camera records as a red sports

comes down to 5th Street.

and pulls over to the side of a larger
road in front of a park.

Less than a minute later, a man on a
bike approaches the female driver.

According to news reports, the two know
each other and are arguing over a

personal matter that is now apparently
unfolding in public.

with a woman appearing to push the man.

She then gets back into the car.

And after he leaves, she eventually
pulls away.

But seconds later, she returns and
drives over a sidewalk

ramp and into the park.

where the man just rode his bike.

And 30 seconds after that, the man rides
his bike away from the park,

but then doubles back and comes face to
face with the woman in the car.

The impact launches the man over the
car, spinning him 540 degrees and

landing him hard on the pavement.

The car speeds off, but the man stays
down until eventually

he's able to roll over.

Another biker tries to wave down help to
no avail, while yet

another appears to check on the man, who
struggles to get to his feet,

and is clearly severely injured.

Moments later, the man hobbles out of
view, will remain nearby,

while one of the bystanders finally
manages to stop a passing truck.

Authorities arrive on the scene soon
after.

According to the police report, the man
is treated for a fractured vertebrae in

his lower back and administered staples
in his head.

The woman driving the car is arrested
and, according to news reports, pleaded

guilty to aggravated assault and leaving
the scene of a serious injury accident.

She ascends to six and a half years in
prison and three years of probation.

Unfortunately for everyone involved,
emotions turn an unfortunate argument

between two people into a brutal
encounter

with a very deadly weapon.
