involved in plenty of emergency

situations.

Call 911.

This was just the first time that I've
had one happen directly in front of me.

In the last few years, the number of
Americans on the road has skyrocketed.

And that means more traffic, more
action, and

also more rage.

With violent road rage up nearly 500%.

Nearly one -fifth of all car accidents
in the U .S. occur in parking lots.

And though most of these are relatively
minor, caused by distracted drivers,

every now and then, there are those
situations that defy any

logical explanation.

In Michigan, according to the owner of
the car that was

just hit, This pickup driver is
deliberately targeting their vehicle in

grocery store parking lot.

For no apparent reason.

The struck vehicle's owner claims that
the first hit, although not captured on

camera, happened while she and her
boyfriend were in the car.

And that the shocking act is totally
random by a complete stranger.

Multiple people call 911 as the pickup
truck appears to idle one lane over.

But moments later, the truck's driver
pulls around again.

The truck remains in this position for
nearly a minute.

before finally pulling away and coming
back one more time.

The

truck's driver

then heads to the exit where he
reportedly rams into a police cruiser

to the scene.

He's pursued by a second officer for
four miles before he is finally stopped

after receiving medical treatment,
arrested.

The 53 -year -old driver pleaded guilty
to three counts of assault with a

dangerous weapon.

One count of fleeing from a police
officer.

And one count of operating while
intoxicated.

The woman's car is totaled, having
reportedly sustained 10 hits.

But when the story captures media
attention, a local dealership donates

a new car to the woman.

A small bright spot in an otherwise
nightmarish scenario.

According to the CDC, an alcohol
impaired

driver kill someone every 45 minutes in
the United States.

And what makes this statistic even more
terrifying is that those drivers can

come from any direction at any time of
the day or night with

absolutely no warning.

On a highway in Minnesota,

A traffic camera course as vehicles move
along smoothly.

When suddenly...

at a high speed overshoots the on -ramp,
barreling straight into a box truck.

which then careened into a concrete wall
and burst into flames.

As what appears to be the truck's fuel
spreads out around it, the driver's side

door opens, but the thick smoke and
growing inferno just outside forced the

driver to retreat back into his cabin.

Then, finally,

The driver emerges from the passenger
side.

Possibly in shock, he lingers
dangerously close to the explosive

and convinces him to move

to safer ground.

A short time later, police arrive and
tend to the driver who caused the

accident.

According to reports, her blood alcohol
content is four times the legal limit,

and she's rushed to the hospital.

Firefighters eventually manage to put
out the fire, but the truck is

The driver is later convicted of third
-degree driving while impaired.

Fortunately, neither driver sustains
life -threatening injuries.

A senseless and terrifying situation
that had the truck driver not been able

remove himself from the flames could
have ended much, much worse.

In Pawnee County, Oklahoma, a brutal
example of how getting into an

on the road with anyone, regardless of
who may appear to have the upper hand,

can turn into a life -or -death
situation in a heartbeat.

A motorcyclist's camera records as his
biker friends ride alongside a pickup

truck.

According to the group of 10
motorcyclists, the truck driver

off going uphill in a no -pass zone and
nearly caused a crash.

But the trucker alleges it was the
bikers who were driving recklessly and

called for some backup.

Moments later, he pulls over across from
his brother, who's holding a shotgun,

while his neighbor pulls up.

And that's when the bikers realize
they're in way, way over their head.

In Oklahoma, a group of bikers and a
truck driver are in a heated discussion

about an earlier incident on the road.

So the trucker calls for backup.

And when he pulls over across from his
brother, who's holding a shotgun, and

then his neighbor joins in, the bikers
are suddenly in serious trouble.

A shotgun blast.

Cue the trucker's attack on the biker,
as the two other truckers and the woman

from the first truck come out to
confront the rest of the bikers.

the trucker continues the ruthless
beating, while the other bikers

are held back by the man with the
shotgun and the third trucker, who

be wielding a knife.

And when that trucker reveals an
intimidating

tattoo on his torso, the bikers wisely
back off.

aid of the beaten biker just off camera

the trucker with the tattoo reportedly
puts a knife to a biker's neck and

grabs a camera belonging to one of the
bikers.

Incredibly, the young biker who was
beaten seems to recover, likely due to

helmet protecting him from most of the
blows.

As the tattoo trucker returns, holding
the ill -gotten camera, which causes yet

another confrontation.

Finally, the two groups agree to go
their separate ways.

But the tattooed trucker has one final
warning.

Enjoy yourself.

I pray for everybody.

But the bikers go against the truckers'
wishes and later show authorities the

footage from their other camera, which
recorded the whole encounter.

All three truckers are arrested.

The tattooed trucker ultimately pleads
guilty to grand larceny from a person,

misdemeanor assault, and assault and
battery with a dangerous weapon.

bringing at least some resolution to a
terrifying ordeal that never should have

happened in the first place.

In Midland,

Texas, a desperate situation that's
about to get even more so.

Two deputies responding to an emergency
call about an infant who stopped

breathing are held up at a train
crossing.

And as the end of the long, slow train
finally comes into view, the deputy in

front attempts to make up for lost time.

of the officer is unknown.

Incredibly, the officer gets out of the
vehicle with only minor injuries and is

brought to a local hospital.

A second rescue team is reportedly able
to reach the infant in distress who was

taken to a nearby emergency room.

A terrifying reminder of the risks all
first responders face.

When rushing to save the lives of
others.

Oh, my God.

In Florida, a woman's dash cam records
as she passes an SUV on a suburban road.

And though the path occurs during the
dashed yellow line and appears to be

legal, it apparently doesn't sit well
with the other driver.

Because of the red light just ahead, the
SUV

driver pulls up and speaks her mind.

will now have to consider for herself as
the SUV driver passes

I passed you! Get over it!

The addition of the obscene hand gesture
seems to up the ante even more.

And at the next stop, the driver
recording tosses

out a retaliation.

The SUV driver seems to ignore her
taunts.

Until suddenly.

A possible brake check causing the
driver behind to pass the SUV

once again.

This time over the solid yellow lines.

Which seems to finally bring the one
-upmanship to an end.

But not the name -calling.

which the SUV driver launches into one
last time from behind.

In

the

end, though there are no winners here,
at

least they found some common ground.

On the highway south of Denver, Brady
Allen is enjoying a Sunday ride on his

motorcycle, unaware that today's trip
will be unlike any other he's ever had.

I took that road because it's more fun
instead of taking the interstate.

Well, once the road turns into just one
lane in each direction, the car in front

of him suddenly... What the hell are you
doing?

...veers to the left.

Just south of Denver, Colorado, Brady
Allen is riding his motorcycle behind an

Having had experience responding to
danger.

I used to be a medic in the Army. I've
been a cop.

So I've been involved in plenty of
emergency situations. This was just the

time that I'd had one happen directly in
front of me.

Running down to the car, you're running
every nightmare scenario through your

head. You're sitting there going, I hope
it wasn't six pregnant ladies.

Just stay where you're at. Just stay
where you're at.

Thankfully, I ran up on the passenger
side and opened the door, and it was

the driver, and he was awake.

Okay, just stay where you're at for
right now.

Don't move around too much. Is anybody
else in the car with you?

Okay.

He wasn't confused.

He wasn't giving me nonsensical answers.

Do you know where you are?

Yeah. Do you know what happened?

I don't know what happened. Okay.

Do you think you hit your head? I mean,
I'm sure you, I know you hit, you got a

bloody nose, so I'm sure you hit the
airbag.

I'm sure I did. I pretty quickly got the
impression that he wasn't impaired in

any way.

And so I figured he either fell asleep
or blacked out.

Once first responders arrive, Brady
leaves the scene.

But he stays in touch with the driver.

When I talked to him a couple of weeks
later, he was able to tell me, you know,

he didn't really have any injuries from
the accident. And his doctors could just

tell him that he had blacked out and had
some kind of a medical episode. Holy!

Okay.

And regardless of the cause, Brady has
some advice for

anyone else who comes upon the scene of
an accident.

Are you hurt?

If you're in a situation like this, the
biggest thing you can do is remain calm.

If you're panicking, they're going to
panic.

So just breathe and stay calm because
their behavior will mirror yours.
