A map allegedly drawn by the rancher

Who buried the roswell ufo debris.

This ex-government official says this map

Leads to a cave where this corona debris is hidden.

And if we can find that debris,

It will prove there is life on other planets.

You know about the roswell crash of 1947.

But of course.

Everybody knows about the debris site

Where the craft came down. Uh huh.

But a lesser-known story is about a corona local

Actually found some of the material

And hid it in a cave. Wow.

And people have been looking for that cave for decades.

My informant says will lead us to the cave.

Dan: What we're doing today is, we're gonna take a piece

Of the map that my dad received --

This is a piece of the map -- and have it carbon-dated.

It'd be pretty amazing if,

A., this map is from the '40s or '50s,

And b., we are able to go and locate some of these items.

So, they're telling me there's a three-week turnaround,

So I got to drop this map off as soon as possible.

Alleged to have been strewn with ufo debris

Where is gallinas peak?

The fact that sandy could look at this map

And decipher those symbols as the gallinas peak,

This tells me that we're on a trail

For the mother lode of all ufo discoveries.

25 to 30 miles as the crow flies.

That's where we're headed.

So, that points to this guy right here,

Try and find this cave.

By comparing their hand-drawn map

To a topography map of gallinas peak,

The team now has their first clue

As to the general vicinity of the hidden cave.

So, in case we do run into a cave,

In search of a cave rumored to hold remnants

Of the legendary roswell ufo.

That's what we saw. Yeah.

The trunk of it, it looked like a cave opening.

Dan: What I saw looked like a cave,

But I think it's just these trees over here.

It was an optical illusion.

I think I see it.

Definitely looks like a cave.

It looks like it's super steep getting down there,

But I think we found it.

The drone's over here?

Dan: Yeah. It's right over here. See it?

Where we can't get to it. Well, that's why you're here.

So, the drone is hovering over that ravine.

It looks really steep.

I'm not sure I can get down there.

It was just an indent in the ridge.

It really looked like it from the drone.

He's interviewed hundreds of eyewitnesses,

Probably researched thousands of pages based on roswell,

And he's deftly collected enough data

To keep guys like me busy for, like, years.

A number of witnesses have indicated

That dan richards managed to steal a piece

Of the debris from the actual crash.

He was a witness to the cleanup activity

At the very debris field site.

On what sandy proctor told us about the map.

But once we got there, it kind of didn't make sense.

When I flipped the map over,

It pointed right towards the richards family ranch.

Now it looks like these pieces are slowly coming together.

Uh, kind of a secret in the family for decades now.

Heather: Sir, what happened with the material?

Man: Back in '47,

Him and a bunch of ranchers were gathering,

And they came across a crash site.

Well, dan picked up a couple of pieces of it

And hid it away in his cave.

He ran a couple of tests on it,

And it couldn't be cut by torch, couldn't be burnt,

Couldn't be cut by hacksaw or clippers or anything.

But you could take it in your hands,

Crumble it up like tin foil, and open your hand up,

And it would pop out to its original shape.

Chuck, that's exactly how sandy proctor described it.

Man: Well, sandy proctor and dan were friends at the time,

But when the government came in,

They said it was a weather balloon,

But, I'm sorry, weather balloons can be cut

And torched and what have you.

Narrator: In 1947, the u.S. Army air forces

Launched a top-secret project called operation mogul,

Which involved microphones flown on high-altitude balloons

Used to detect sound waves

Generated by soviet atomic bomb tests.

In 1994, after public pressure

To resolve the controversy behind the roswell incident,

The government released declassified documents

And claimed the remnants of the crash

Belonged to one of these balloons.

Man: According to family legend,

He took these pieces of metal and hid it away

In what the family considers "dan's cave."

Are you telling me that this location

Could house alien debris?

When you're looking for ufo debris,

You could get caught up in the investigation

And totally forget that this stuff could be contaminated

With radiation.

I always make sure that I don't expose myself or my team

To anything that could be dangerous.

I'm thinking that there might be a good cave inside here.

It could have been larger back in '47,

Collapsed a little bit.

That, or it could be another opening to the same cavern.

It could. It absolutely could.

And over the years, you know, just kind of sealed up

Due to erosion.

That definitely looks like an entrance to something.

And just open up the hole a little bit? Sounds good to me.

And then we'll see how much farther it opens up,

And then, if so, we can send some cameras in there.

But is it housing alien debris?

It'll just take you down to where it starts to curve.

Over 70 years ago, something happened

Just on the other side of the hill a few miles back

That changed this part of the world.

Debris was scattered everywhere,

And this area is the exact place

Where someone could've found debris and hid it in a cave.

And this could be the cave.

This is exactly what we were looking for -- exactly.

But it's definitely in the right area.

This is where their ancestors said

That debris was hidden in caves.

Now we need to find out whether or not

One way or another.
