We live in an era
of celebrity scandals.

Sex sells, especially sex tapes.

After Kim Kardashian's
tape exploded onto the scene,

there was a ton of tapes
that followed

from a ton of different
characters in Hollywood.

Colin Farrell.

Nicole kept the tape,
and Colin just assumed

that she would be honorable
and not do anything with it.

She starts
tossing the idea around.

We're gonna take you
to see the tape.

Put a bandana over my head,

and I was thrown
in a hatchback of a Honda.

Drugs, paranoid.
She's flipping out.

Everything exploded.

Screech had a porn tape
that I did not watch.

I was very upset
and very disappointed

in my friend Dustin,

and I even asked him,
"Why are you doing it?"

He says, "Well,
I need to get back out there."

Montana Fishburne.

She was straight up being like,

"I'm doing this to be famous.
This worked for Kim,

and now it's gonna work
for me."

So, now it's
a celebrity sex tape broker

a celebrity sex tape broker.

And I see this nutty guy with
guns and all kinds of [bleep].

I'm like, whoa.

Look, if you owned this guy,

you're a bit of a creepozoid, right?

Like, this is--this is
a little spy camera-y.

I didn't have this. Yeah. Like--

What is a DV?

In the early 2000s,
new boundaries were set

around sexuality
and the expression of sex.

It's okay to explore sex
in art, in entertainment.

It's okay to explore sex
in your personal space.

This is
a sexy, sneaky little guy.

I can definitely imagine
somebody hiding one of these.

This--This is
definitely something

you could hide
in the nightstand.

More and more people
had these kind of cameras,

and people by this point
are far more comfortable

with being in front of a camera.

So many people have access to
technology, filming themselves,

and they might feel
comfortable having sex on camera

when things are going well
in their relationship.

Many people in America
film themselves having sex.

That's a reality.

There's nothing inherently wrong
with doing that.

But in these cases
that we're talking about,

these celebrity sex tapes,
not everyone was consenting.

There's a lot of coercion
happening,

and some of these were
private moments

that were never intended
to be made public.

Each time you
start to film, like, a new film,

you wear--you have
special underpants,

like good luck underpants?

- Shamrocks, Yeah, pretty simple.

Colin Farrell is the coolest
person on the planet.

Colin Farrell had a sex tape?
No, I did not know that.

match made in heaven.

It was fun.

Leonardo bought me toilet paper

so I could pee
behind a 7-Eleven.

You know what I'm saying?

Talk about being at a party
at the Playmate Mansion.

What's special about a party
at the Playmate Mansion?

Actors just
circulated through there.

So, if you're the Playmate
of the Month or the Year,

it's like, boom, you know?
And so Nicole, for a while,

she was
that hot prize party girl.

So, now we're in Hollywood
in this scene,

and you're
popping a lot of pills.

We're drinking a lot.

You know, it's like
[bleep] Hep C everywhere.

It's like nasty, fake tans

and hair extensions laying
on the ground,

people [bleep] in the pool.

You know, it becomes
this haze of party, nightclub,

Hollywood Hills,

stay up for three days, crash.

And Colin collided, and they're
two hot [bleep]. It's exotic.

They both have this, like,

bad girl, bad boy thing
going on.

But I feel like
they had a real connection.

They only dated
for a few months.

They decided to make love
on videotape.

The video
between Colin and Nicole Narain

was a private video.

They were both aware
that the video was being made.

They both participated happily.

The sex tape is hot. I remember
wishing it was better quality.

Uh, the creative in me.

I'm like, [bleep].
What the [bleep]?

Who's holding the camera?
[bleep], why are you shaking?!

I'm like, the audio. [bleep]!
You know what I mean?

It's just like,

Sex, drugs,

maybe for a night,
maybe two nights.

But a lifestyle of sex,
drugs, and rock and roll

isn't realistic for anyone.

It's not a matter of if

It's a matter of when

I feel like
he genuinely loved Nicole,

but late night parties,
Playmates, hookers, after hours,

everybody's in everybody's ear,
doing drugs, paranoid.

She's flipping out. Colin's
distancing himself from her.

Everything exploded.

And then they broke up.

And I think Nicole kept
the tape,

and Colin just assumed

that she would be honorable
and not do anything with it.

But my understanding is
she needed money,

and she needed money fast.

So, this property
that she had, the video,

she made a decision of trying
to market it, trying to sell it.

And I feel like it just kind of
went in that direction, like,

"If I'm not good enough for you
to marry or have a baby with,

then I can at least make
some money and do my thing."

I think that was kind of
her mentality.

You know, she starts
tossing the idea around.

People are talking about it,
you know?

She's at the parties
in the Hollywood Hills.

Oh, this person from here talked
to this person, that person.

It starts expanding.

And I think
it's just crazy how [bleep] up

the whole situation got.

They put a bandana on me.
And I hear,

"Let me tell you something,
young man. You wanna get hurt?"

Nicole and I--we were glued
to each other's hip,

drinking a lot.

We're doing a lot of
[bleep] blow. There's pills.

I don't even know what
the [bleep] that is.

I'm thinking...

I might have
to get off of this ride.

I wanted us to go

in a completely different
direction.

I contacted
a production company.

We shot a pilot
for a reality show

with the two of us,
with me being her manager.

It could have [bleep]
gone somewhere,

but then it just started
getting really [bleep] crazy.

Wow.

Now this--
this is still used today.

People are still
using these everywhere.

Carl Zeiss lens.

Yeah, there was
a lot of sex tapes made

with this particular camera.

Wow. It's just a little bit
bigger than your iPhone.

I had a situation arise
where I got a call.

It was very cryptic.

And the guy says,
"Is this Kevin Blatt? K.B.?"

I'm like, "Yeah."

"The celebrity sex tape
broker?"

I'm like,
"Yeah, how can I help you?"

"Well, I have an A-list actor
with a B-list model."

And I said, "Okay,
who are we talking about here?"

He said, "I can't say.
Can you meet me

at Mel's Drive-in on Sunset
in two hours?"

The guy told me he'd be wearing

an orange John Deere hat
and a parka.

And when I went there,
I showed up.

Like, who are you at,
Elmer Fudd?

The guy said,
"Hey, just sit tight.

My partner's coming.
Order some cheesecake.

He'll be right with us."
And I'm like, cheesecake?

I'm lactose-intolerant.
Like, I don't eat cheesecake.

And the guy showed up.

He looks at me and he goes,
"Look, it's Colin Farrell,

and he's with a Playmate
named Nicole Narain."

They go,
"We want $1.2 million for it."

And I said,
"Wow, that's interesting."

So, he leans over.

He goes, "Listen, we're gonna
take you to see the tape."

They put a bandana
over my head,

and I was thrown
in a hatchback of a Honda

and driven up Sunset Plaza.

It was like this
big, old Hollywood house.

And I walked in,
they popped this tape in,

and there was Colin Farrell,

and he was naked,
and he was smoking a cigarette,

holding a Guinness beer.

And you see the schlong,
and you're like, [bleep].

Does he breathe
through that thing?

I'm like, "Okay, I'm gonna
make a couple calls for you."

I go home. I start making
my phone calls,

and the next day I get a call.

And I hear,

"Let me tell you something,
young man. You wanna get hurt?"

I go, "Who is this?"

He goes,
"This is David Hans Schmidt.

You're trying to--
to step on my turf, bro.

And I got them a deal
with that Colin Farrell tape,

and you better back off,
or you're gonna get hurt."

And then I Google this guy,

and I see
this nutty guy with guns

and all kinds of [bleep].
I'm like, whoa.

I'm like, okay,
now I just got threatened.

David Hans Schmidt
was a celebrity sex tape broker

based in Phoenix.

David Hans Schmidt was
a larger-than-life character.

He was loud. He would talk.

He loved himself.

He was boastful.
He was energetic.

He was just like a magnetic,

sort of black hole personality
that sucked everything in.

And he was contacted by

I don't believe it was actually
Nicole Narain directly.

I think it was a friend of hers.
I think she said to her friend,

"Can you help me
find someone to sell this?"

And that got
to David Hans Schmidt.

David Hans Schmidt came up
with a bright idea

of selling and distributing
the videos on the internet.

My client was a company
called Internet Commerce Group,

and the owner of that
was a guy named Sal Abbate.

My client was approached
by David Hans Schmidt to take

content without a license
and put it on a website

and charge money to see it.

He was the guy
before there was me,

there was a guy out there who
was a celebrity sex tape guy.

But what he did was he had
partnered up with Tonya Harding,

Paula Jones, who was embroiled

in this scandal
with Bill Clinton at the time.

He had a bunch of what
I would call "D-lebrities."

So, now it's
a celebrity sex tape broker

versus
a celebrity sex tape broker.

He threatened me,

and that's when I picked up
the phone,

and I looked up CAA, the agency
that represents Farrell,

found his agent,
left a message for him.

The next thing you know,
I'm on a conference call.

He's calling
his agent, manager, lawyers.

There's probably
six people on a call.

He was in Miami filming
"Miami Vice" at the time.

They get me on the phone,
and I basically say,

"Okay, Mr. Farrell,
this is the situation.

Do you remember filming
the movie 'Daredevil'

out in Los Angeles
in this year?"

Says, "Yeah."

"Do you remember linking up
with a woman

who was a former Playmate--

Black girl by the name
of Nicole Narain?"

And the whole conversation
gets quiet,

and then I hear,
"Oh, for [bleep] sake.

What the [bleep] do I do now?"

Like, "You're gonna hire
this lawyer,

and we're
gonna get you protected.

We're gonna make it go away."

And that's how I kind of
got into this journey

of working on
the other side of the desk.

What that really means
is kind of a Hollywood fixer.

I make bad things
go away for celebrities

and people that are powerful
in this town.

Colin Farrell filed a lawsuit
when he found out

that his ex-girlfriend had
their sex tape

and was trying to sell it.

Colin Farrell was represented
by a very famous lawyer

named Marty Singer.

So, his number one goal was,
"Let's keep this under wraps."

He wanted an injunction.
He wanted the court to order

that nobody was allowed
to see this video.

No one was
allowed to distribute it.

His main focus was
just keeping this toothpaste

in the tube,
keeping the genie in the bottle.

And the interesting thing
about the Colin Farrell tape--

my client never bought it.

My client was merely approached
by David Hans Schmidt,

because David Hans Schmidt
essentially communicated,

"Hey, you have a website.
Do you want to buy this tape?"

That was
the entirety of what occurred.

And then Colin Farrell sued.

David Hans Schmidt--
he was a hustler.

He was an absolute
natural born hustler.

And I don't know
if he was any good at it,

to be honest with you.
I actually recall flying

out here, um, to L.A. with him.

He wanted to approach

Colin Farrell's lawyers
and negotiate.

I remember
I took a picture of him.

He had a bowl
that he filled with lemons,

and he wrote, like,
"Colin and Nicole,"

and he used it as a prop

to go to Colin Farrell's
lawyer's office in Century City

and said, "Let's make lemonade.
We've got lemons."

And he was just that kind of--
he thought it was funny.

When a new lawsuit's filed,
you always meet with a client

and you say,
"Okay, what's your strategy?

What do you wanna do?
What's your goal?

Do you wanna fight this

and get a lot of media attention
out of it?

Do you wanna try
to quietly settle?

As it turns out, my client
was very happy to fight,

did not wanna settle,

wanted to get some
media attention out of it,

because that can be more
valuable than the legal fees.

My client was trying
to make money and was--

and was trying to do it
above board legally.

Nicole Narain was part of
the Colin Farrell case as well,

but I didn't represent
Nicole Narain.

She was not my client,
so she had her own attorney.

Nicole named me as

one of her advisors
that was counseling her

and procuring the sex tape.

And the fact that I have
a law degree from Northwestern

gave my role in the debacle

a heightened sense
from everyone.

So, everyone is looking at it

as though it's this savvy,
you know, Northwestern grad

behind the scenes,
like the puppet master,

the mastermind, like, "Oh, yeah,
I'll tell you what we'll do."

But in reality, it's like...

...I was not of...
clear mind and state.

You're talking about, like,
a drugged out model and actress

that's doing music video jobs
and laying on Nicole's bed

and doing lines of blow
that is "giving advice."

My boss, Maria Speth, and I flew
out to New York with my client,

and we met Colin Farrell at
a law firm in a conference room

on Easter Sunday.

During Colin Farrell's
deposition,

he, through his lawyer,
was trying to make an argument

that this would be
so devastating to his career.

But then he was just in
some movie where he was playing

a guy that was
exactly this kind of guy.

So, does it really
hurt your career that much?

Our job was
to kind of attack him.

In fact, I remember
preparing for it

and going over
his Rotten Tomatoes page,

going over all his old movies.

And we were trying to emphasize
the point that

the sex tape was not
that out of character

for what he was known for.

And we were trying to show that
if this video got out there,

it wouldn't be devastating
to him.

After a couple of hours of back
and forth in this deposition,

I think both sides just said,
"Why are we doing this?"

Colin Farrell
was a really nice guy.

And I think that was
part of him being Irish.

I think that was part of him
being just a gentleman.

He was a gentleman.

He emphasized over and over
again, this is just private.

This is just not something that
he intended the world to see.

And it's pretty hard
to look a guy in the eye

and say, "I don't--I don't care
that you feel that way."

He had a right to feel that way.
It was his privacy.

So, I think we kind of broke
Colin Farrell down a little bit,

and I think
he kind of broke us down.

Maria Speth and Marty Singer
went into a closet--

literally in a closet.

They chatted
for about 10 minutes,

and everyone was
sort of whispering.

They came back and an agreement
was reached to just settle.

And Colin Farrell did yell
at me, by the way,

in the middle of the depo,

because outside the building
there were a bunch of paparazzi.

And he wanted to know
if I had leaked the location

because nobody knew
the location of the depo

on Easter Sunday, of all things.

I'm not gonna try and do
his Irish accent.

Gingras, did you do it, man?

Yeah. No, no, I did--No.
I-I lied to you. Um...

The media wanted to know
about this deposition,

wanted to know where it was,

and my client wanted
the publicity.

And it was sort of like,

"Hey, well,
if we tell you where it is,

can you drop our web address
in the story?"

And so, um, I was--I was asked
whether that was permitted

to release that information,
and there was no court order

or other reason not
to release it, so I approved it.

I didn't do it myself,
but I approved it.

But Colin Farrell was
absolutely sure I did it.

In April of 2006,
Nicole Narain and Colin Farrell

actually came
to an amicable settlement

and reached a deal
in the suit over the video.

We just don't know what

the details
of that settlement were,

but we do know
that it was never

formally placed on DVD
or came out on VHS.

I heard through the grapevine
that Colin ended up,

I think, paying them
a million dollars

to have it not go up
on the celebrity website.

But as you know...

...you can't un-ring a bell.

The tape did eventually get out.

My recollection is
a website called Dirty Colin,

and they said, you know, "We're
about to release this tape.

Sign up here if you wanna
buy it" or whatever.

Colin Farrell--that is
a very memorable sex tape

because it was the first time
I saw one of those online.

I don't know if it was ever
pressed on DVD,

but you didn't need the DVD

'cause it was short,
and it was to the point.

It's a fun tape, you know?

He's really kind, and he is
really enthusiastic.

He was very enthusiastic
about the oral pleasure

that he was
going to perform on her.

And there's a really
famous line from the video,

uh, where he says...

"I could eat that [bleep]

for breakfast, lunch
and [bleep] dinner."

And I will never forget that.

I wasn't like a prude,
but I, like, wasn't

super, you know,
sexually experienced at all.

Like, that was mind-blowing
to me.

And I think for that reason,

that tape kind of became
this big discussion topic.

It is even now. You can even
find columns about it

that women have written
where they say

he became a little bit
of this symbol

of what sex should be like,

which also goes to show
the impact of sex tapes,

that it can go
in that direction, too,

where people will take it,
not unlike porn, as educational,

which isn't great generally.

What was most surprising
to me about this video

was the fact that the woman
in the video was a Black woman.

And that was actually
very, very shocking to me.

Here I am. I'm a teenage girl.

To see that this celebrity,
Colin Farrell,

who I had this huge crush on,
would actually, like, deign

to date and, like,
be with a Black woman

and not just, like, see her,
but also, like, engage in--

in sex with her, was a very,
very big deal for me.

Some--well, it only--it only
could have been Nicole Narain.

It could have
been David Hans Schmidt.

It could have been my client,
if he lied about doing it,

He swore under oath
that he didn't.

Um, it could have been
Colin Farrell's lawyer.

It could have been me, actually.

Now that you think about it,
it could have been me.

It wasn't me.
I didn't do it.

I swear under oath,
I did not release the tape.

No.

Once the settlement had been
reached, it kind of seemed like

maybe there wasn't so much
bad blood between the two.

Nicole Narain actually gave
an interview

to "People" Magazine
where she seemed very, like,

tongue in cheek, sort of
a wink and a nod towards it.

She said maybe
they would make another tape.

Colin Farrell--he did
give one interview in 2008

where he doesn't really go
into detail or anything,

but he does talk a little bit

about what the experience
of the deposition, uh,

to get to the settlement
was like.

It seemed like a good idea at
the time--two adults having fun.

Ooh, a video camera, you know.

Nothing wrong with that.

No, there wasn't anything
wrong with that.

As long as you don't let the
tape get into the wrong hands,

Well, that's it, and at the end
of the deposition, the man that

was in charge said, "Well,
you've learned your lesson,

I hope, Mr. Farrell." And I
said, "Absolutely. Next time

I take the tape with me."

Colin Farrell's career continues
going, obviously deservedly so.

The man was just nominated
for an Oscar.

And even now,
when we talk about Colin's tape,

it's mostly positive.

And if we talk about Nicole,
we never heard from her again.

She hasn't had a career
that proliferated like his.

When a white woman
does a sex tape, it's--

the--the--the arms
of mainstream media--

they open up wide.
You're on E! Entertainment.

And I'm not saying
that they shouldn't.

I'm just saying,
can that be extended

across all color lines?

You know, like, I just-
I just hate that,

when a-a-a Black woman does
the same thing as a white woman,

it just--a lot of times,
it gets deemed... so low class.

Why was this Black woman
not able to do what

a Kim Kardashian was able to do?

There is very much
a double standard

for Black women in media.

She's doing more and more drugs.

She's distancing herself
from me and becoming--

like, she's going farther
and farther to the dark side.

And I'm like,
what the [bleep] is going on?

As I recall, she was having
disruptive relationships

with sexual compulsions

that was beginning
to have consequences.

And there was suspicion

of maybe some other substances
involved as well.

She's watching her back.
She's, like, looking for cars.

She's, like, freaking
the [bleep] out, you know?

And then you mix in the drugs,
the alcohol,

and it just got to the point
where I was like,

"Dude, I can't even
[bleep] be around you.

Like, this is some
weird-ass [bleep], you know?"

So, I started pulling back.

How bad did
your addiction get, Nicole?

I remember
after the tape came out,

Nicole did a lot of work
on the reality show circuit.

I don't want this to dictate,
really, my life or who I am,

but I really feel like
I am a beautiful disaster.

Nicole Narain was a young woman
who, um, was concerned

that her behaviors
were getting out of control.

She was my patient.

At the time,
she was relatively quiet,

sort of lovely,
like a lovely person.

I had heard
there was a sex tape.

I don't remember her
even talking about it

in her sessions, frankly.

But I remember
her feeling exploited.

I remember
she was concerned about that,

that she had
a certain amount of shame.

She would talk about shame

in some of the choices
she had made.

That [bleep] got
shut down so quickly,

and you never heard
of her again.

Nicole disappeared,

and I was always
gravely concerned about that.

I said, "Nicole, you know what?

You got this much money
in the safe.

Like, you could just
go back home to Chicago.

You could do this, this,
and this."

But you gotta think about it.
Like, how do you do that?

How do you go from that to...

regular life?

You know? So, now I become
a bank teller back home,

and everyone sees me
when I walk in and the shame?

I'd rather just be
in the darkness and disappear.

Did you find Nicole?

Did you find her?

If--If Nicole was watching this,

what I would wanna say is,

[bleep] from the past
doesn't have to weigh you down

until the day you die.

It's up to you to say,
"[bleep] the world"

and--and build it back up.
You know what I mean?

That's what I would tell Nicole.

I think what was interesting

about this particular tape
with Colin Farrell

was that it really did
magnify his brand.

But there was a point in time
where sex tapes

just became a little ridiculous.

So, when social media
started blowing up,

and it was able
to help these videos travel

and, um, become trending topics,

a lot of that had to do
with the cringe factor.

If it's something that
stands out as a little bit odd,

that's what
you're gonna pull at,

and that's what
you're gonna talk about.

was shopped to me originally.

I thought it was grotesque.

a well-known actor

who was on a TV show
for a very long time

called "Saved by the Bell."

And Dustin was on that show
for many, many years.

He was on that show
even when it was a pilot.

He was also the most,
for me personally,

relatable character--

the dork that, like,
hangs out with the cool dudes.

And so you can be a dork

and still be, like,
popular with that.

Okay, so when do we start?

Well, tonight,
but it has to be at my place.

I'm not allowed out after "Alf."

He never wanted me
to call him "Screech," ever.

I did it one time,
and he was like,

"Don't ever call me Screech
again." I was like, "Why?"

He's like, "Because my friends
don't call me Screech.

They can call me Screech.
You can't."

And I said, "Okay, well,
Dustin's too long.

Can I call you Dust?"

Dustin, for a while,

wanted to try and separate
himself from his character.

And each attempt he made at fame

did make him more of a "joke."

He did a lot of work on a lot
of sleazy reality shows.

I'm not a little pipsqueak
like most people would expect.

I mean, on TV,
I'm only that big.

Dustin wanted to move on.
He wanted to try something else

other than living the life
of Screech

from "Saved by the Bell."

He wanted to do stand-up comedy,
and he wanted to do movies.

But I don't think
anybody else took him seriously.

How many
people came out tonight

specifically to relive some old
"Saved by the Bell" memories?

You guys are gonna be
really [bleep] disappointed.

It's tough for people
who grew up as child stars.

They'll take a lot of, um, aim
at whatever they can hang on to.

Trying to make it in stand-up,
it was just another thing

that kind of made him
a little bit of a sad story.

And people hadn't been talking
about Dustin Diamond for years,

and all of a sudden,
he made sex tape of his own.

Yeah. Joke's on you, Jack.

- Nobody's gonna touch this.
- People were very disturbed.

That wasn't a joke.
I'm like, that close

from tackling my own grandma.
It's embarrassing,

is what it is.
- Like, my friend Dustin?

There was a point where
he had some problems paying,

you know, his mortgage.

He was trying to make money
to save his house

'cause he was on the cusp
of losing it.

He started selling T-shirts

that said,
"Save Screech's House,"

which only concerned the fans
that he did have,

and, again, made his behavior
increasingly questionable.

There was an instance
when Dustin

had stabbed someone
outside of a bar,

and he was arrested for that.

He had to always be safe,

because the--the truth
of the matter is

people would sometimes try to
attack him or try to insult him.

All right, tell me
about the porn video.

You told Oprah
that the porn video is one--

one of your biggest regrets.

So, while Dustin, um,
reveals to Oprah

that he thought that
he could maybe, um, cash out

by making his own tape.

My buddy said,
"Where's a Screech sex tape?

You got to be worth
at least a million."

And I thought, yeah.

Yeah, maybe.

When I heard about the sex tape,
I like, everybody else,

found out when it came out,
and I was embarrassed.

He never told me about it.

He never told me
he was creating it.

He never asked my advice,
and I know why.

Because if he probably would
have brought that up to me,

I would have been like,
"No, you're not doing that.

Are you stupid? No, come on!"

The sex tape is titled
"Screeched--Saved by the Smell."

Terrible title.

There were two unidentified
women in the tape with him.

It was a little grainy.
It was a little discolored.

You couldn't quite tell what
was going on at every moment.

And then I would say
that the other part of it

that was such big news
for everybody

was that it featured
quite a large penis.

I--We talked about it.
You know, I asked him.

I was like, "So..." And he said,
"Oh, there was this guy.

Don't worry, though. It's all,
you know, it's all fake."

I was like, "Yeah,
but everyone's talking

about your, you know, thing,
and they know that it's big."

And I even asked him,
"Why are you doing this?"

He says, "Well,
I need to get back out there.

I want people to see this
side of me."

He wanted attention,

but he also wanted to be back
on the map again.

What if that had made
$3 million?

Bye. That's my show.

- Did it make $3 million?
- It did not make $3 million.

- It didn't?
- No.

Yeah. Joke's on you, Jack.
Yeah, no one's--

no one's trying to see
Screech get laid like that.

Nobody's gonna touch this.

Of course there was a sex act
in it--the Dirty Sanchez,

which is the only thing
that the media was able

to garner out of that thing
that was worth anything.

The Dustin Diamond thing

was about as big a flop
as you could want.

I don't think
that video made 50 bucks.

Dustin Diamond did
eventually reveal to Oprah,

of all people, that it was
a prosthetic penis that he used.

I thought, you know,
I could totally fake this.

I could get a stuntperson
to take my place.

It's my face, but nothing else.

He wasn't actually nude
in the sex tape.

So, you know, so it was not much
of a sex tape in the end.

That makes it even worse.

It's like, "Uh, I'm not in it,
but [bleep] you."

I didn't really do anything,
so it's--I can wander free.

He made this sex tape,

and I don't think
it quite worked out.

He really wasn't ever
anything more than a joke.

Do you know who I am?
Do you have any idea who I am?

You're like, "I have no idea
who that guy is."

He said to me--he's like,
"You know, Lizette,

I wish I had your life."

And I was like, "What,
are you kidding me, Dustin?

You--You were on a show
since you were a kid.

You--you had this money.
You had this. You have fame."

And he's like, "Yeah, but if
I can start my life over again,

I would start fresh."

Dustin Diamond
was hospitalized

three weeks ago in Florida.

Dustin Diamond passed away in
February 2021 from lung cancer.

When he did die, it wasn't like,

um, if an esteemed celebrity
passes away,

and all these memorials
come out,

and these beautiful obits.

It wasn't that. A lot of it
was really negative.

He--He really was
struggling very clearly,

and he died because he had
what's called anosognosia,

where you block
what's happening.

You don't see what's going on as
a result of what you're doing.

I mean,
just the fact that he allowed

a tumor to grow that huge

tells you how not connected
he was to his reality.

And it's more evidence
of how people look

at somebody like that and turn
them into a cartoon figure

and not a human being
who is suffering.

When you are involved
in a scandal like this,

it can become your legacy,

and I think that's
really unfortunate because

while a lot of us would like
to just remember him as Screech,

some of us remember him
in a whole other way,

and I don't think
he would have wanted that.

He was so good
about being good to strangers

and other people
and to his friends. Amazing.

Dustin didn't want to h--

Dustin didn't wanna have
his tombstone

because he was afraid
that people were gonna go

and, like, graffiti it up

and--and spit on him
and ridicule him...

and do all this stuff.

It's the saddest thing
to feel that way, you know?

It's the saddest thing
because if people

really knew who he was...

if they really knew
his--his heart and his soul,

and if he accepted it--
his heart and his soul,

things would be
so much different,

and if people would have
given him a chance

to be someone different.

That's the problem
with Hollywood sometimes,

and it's sad that the world
kind of made him out

to look like something
I didn't know.

There was an explosion
of sex tapes in our culture

after Kim Kardashian.

I definitely think that there
were people

who wanted to follow Kim

by doing a sex tape
just to become famous.

In 2010,
we had Montana Fishburne.

She's the daughter
of Lawrence Fishburne.

Oh, my God.
So, this is a weird one.

So, Montana Fishburne decided
she wanted to do a sex tape,

and unlike having
a Ray J shoot it,

she decided to do it
commercially

and have Vivid shoot it,

where she got paid a lot
of money and made the movie,

and it was well shot.
It was really well done.

Porn. I always wanted to do porn
since I was in high school.

to be released in August

and differs
from previous sex tapes

in that Fishburne
is not claiming

her tape to be stolen
and leaked.

In the case
of Montana Fishburne,

she was straight up being like,

"I'm doing this to be famous.
This worked for Kim,

and now it's gonna work
for me."

Well, I don't think
it was commercially successful

because the story around
Kim Kardashian was it's stolen.

This, they didn't really
have a story

that she was in defiance
of her parents.

She was a mainstream actor's
daughter, not well-known.

She thought that she could
parlay sex tape fame

into, you know,
a mainstream career,

and that is just not
what was going to happen

for a Black woman, unfortunately.

And I think that because
there was also nothing else

that she was known for but being
her father's daughter,

so it was all about,
this must be shameful for him.

He must be embarrassed. Where
did he go wrong as a parent?

You know, it wasn't
about her being a woman

who had the right to make these
choices and who was old enough

to consent to say,
"I'd like to do pornography,"

and it really backfired
for Montana.

Tila Tequila had
a big one come out, 2011.

Guys, come on, please.

The funny thing
about the Tila Tequila tape

is she had
that dating show on MTV.

It was a guilty pleasure.
I actually kind of liked it.

I remember thinking,
she'd be perfect for a sex tape.

I remember thinking that.
She's perfect for a sex tape.

And then sure enough,
it happened.

I had a tape with her and
a gentleman named Francis Ten,

who was her boyfriend
for many, many years.

It was playful.

It was nice. It was them
on vacation once again,

and homeboy had what
Colin Farrell had in his pants.

Like, he was really
working with some stuff,

and, uh, we approached
Tila's people.

They were defiantly trying
to say,

"No, we don't want
any part of this.

We don't give our permission."

I took it to Steve Hirsch
over at Vivid,

and this started a whole war
between me and Steven.

I showed him this tape.

I said, "This is the greatest
sex tape I've ever seen.

Look how playful it is.
Look how great it is."

And he goes,
"I like it. I don't know.

I'll give her $10,000."

I said, "Are you out
of your [bleep] mind?

This is Tila Tequila. She's
the biggest person on MySpace."

MySpace, by the way, kids,
was a thing back in the day.

I end up meeting
a Penthouse Pet,

and I'm visiting with her

and her girlfriend
who's another Penthouse Pet,

and we're all hanging out
in this hotel room.

We're having a great time.
We're partying,

and one Penthouse Pet
says to me,

"So, what are you working on,
K.B.?

Anything good with sex tapes?"

I go,
"Yeah, I got something great."

She goes, "Well, as long as it's
not Tila Tequila, I'm okay."

And I look at her and go,
"What did you just say?"

She said, "I just did

And I'm like, okay,
now I'm figuring it out.

If I would've released
this hetero tape,

that would sell 10 times as much

than a 3-way lesbian tape
with Tila.

So, that's why
they wanted to shut it down.

and they put out the tape.

And so sometimes people get
really bad advice

about things that they should do

Farrah Abraham is kind of
a complex character.

She is a former reality star.

was what she needed,

but it certainly had an effect

to behave a certain way
to stay relevant.
