It still kind of
blows my mind

that she's only 16.

The challenge now,

is going to be

the believability factor.

I definitely think
this song needs the raw emotions,

and because I am so young,

it will be a little bit
more difficult to kind of find

where the story
is kind of coming from.

And that does scare me a little bit.

For Bella, I chose

a classic Roberta Flack song,

'Killing Me Softly'.

If she can find that place
where there's no doubt

that she means every word
she's singing, she'll be fine.

There's a lot of meaning
within the song,

love, relationships,
family, friends.

And so, I think I really need
to connect emotionally

and prove that I deserve to be here.

And I really want to be here.

For Joseph,

I chose to use a song

that I wrote with Luther Vandross

called 'Dance With My Father',

which was a very successful song.

It was the song of the year
at the Grammys.

Joseph has his work cut out for him

because there's really
no big power vocal moment.

He just has to tell this story.

The song really I'm tapping
into me as a father.

I'm really, really thinking
about my two sons.

This Knockout
is not gonna come down to notes

or even vocal talent,

because the three of them
are so good.
