for some additional columns to be added to the date table.

And those columns should look something

like this, as long as you followed the order

that we laid out in the assignment,

but let's head over to Power BI and we'll check this out.

All right, so from our calendar table and the Query Editor,

wanna make sure we have the date column selected

and we're gonna first add a new column for month name.

Let's go over to date, month,

and then we have name of month.

All right, so this is adding a new column

on the far right side of our table.

Let's see, month name, that is January, right?

Still with that date column selected.

The next column we wanna add is month number.

So come back to month.

And then this is just clicking the month value here, right?

And you can see that this defaults

to that month number, right?

Our third objective here, come back,

make sure we have that date column selected.

And we want start of year,

so year, start of year, and perfect.

And then last but not least, we wanna add in a column

just for year.

Come up here, and then year.

There you have it.

We've got month name, it's January,

month number with the individual integer here

and we can see that we've got all of these down to 12.

Start of year and then year.
