child that we're observing

is a ghost.

to The Proof is Out There.

We've all seen psychic
mediums on talk shows

claiming to communicate
with the dead.

But what if instead of on TV,

it was happening live right
before your very eyes?

And what if the
medium was an infant?

It's December 2021 in the
suburbs of Akron, Ohio.

22-month-old Evelyn
Witt, known as Evie,

is in her highchair
when her mom, Tana,

hears something odd
and starts filming.

- [Tana] Who are you talking to?

- [Tony] The video
shows that no one else

is in the room with little Evie,

but she seems to
be having a chat.

[Evie screams]

- [Tony] With an
invisible uncle.

- [Tana] Who are you talking to?

No!

- [Tony] Tana wonders
if the toddler

is saying the word, "Uncle."

- [Tana] Who are you talking to?

Evelyn, who are you talking to?

- Shh, shh, shh.

- [Tony] That would make sense

since Tana's brother,
Evie's Uncle Tim,

lived at home with Evie's
grandmother, Debra Henley.

She watches the little
girl during the day.

- When I would go to the park,

he'd come with me,
so he'd help me.

He would take her on the swings
and down the slide and...

Woo!

You know, he was just
a big part of her life.

What do you think?

[Debra laughing]

- [Tony] Tragically,

one month before Tana
filmed her mysterious video,

Uncle Tim died of an
accidental drug overdose.

So that begs the question:

Are we watching little Evie
talking to Uncle Tim's ghost?

- She talked a lot about Tim

and she would say things that
I don't think that she knew

as a young child.

- [Tana] Who else was happy?

- [Tana] Tim's happy?
- Yeah.

- She was talking to him,
I'm almost sure of it.

- There're some theorists
that say that babies

can actually see beyond the
visible spectrum of light,

and it is said that
the spirit world

essentially lives outside
of that visible spectrum.

- There is another
potential source

of supernatural connection

between children and
the spirit world,

the pineal gland,

a little understood gland
in the center of the brain

that produces melatonin.

It's been connected to the
mystical third-eye chakra

of eastern religions.

Some claim children's pineal
glands have not yet atrophied,

which give them visibility

into a broader
spectrum of reality.

But what is our experts' sense?

- The recording's
structure was analyzed

and there is specific
metadata in the file

which would have been produced
from the original version.

So, there is no
evidence to suggest

that any kind of fabrication
occurred with this interaction.

- [Tana] Who are you talking to?

- [Tony] So the
video is authentic.

But is Evie's apparent
encounter with Uncle Tim?

Can children really see
things adults can't?

Can children see outside the
visible spectrum of light

as some have claimed?

- In general,

children's vision is actually
worse than our vision.

In fact, when you're born,

you only see black and white
and have very limited vision,

and this increases rapidly
in the first six months.

So, there will still
be some development

with the eyes and
vision at this age.

- [Tony] Theoretical
physicist, Dr. Michio Kaku

adds that Evie is also still
developing her social skills

and her understanding
of object permanence.

So, could she be chatting
with an imaginary friend?

- Sometimes, their
imaginary friends

are confused with real ones.

It won't be 'til
around age three

that a sense of what
is real and not real

becomes solidified
in their mind,

and realize that she's
only 22 months old.

- [Tana] Who are you talking to?

- [Tony] Then what
do our experts think

is the cause of Evie's
inexplicable interactions

with Uncle Tim?

- I think the most
likely situation here

is that Evelyn is
mimicking behaviors

of the family
members around her.

Going through a bereavement,
kids are like sponges,

and this is a way of Evelyn
dealing with that situation.

- [Tony] Still, Evie
continuously turns back

and addresses the same
exact spot in the room.

Even Dr. Kaku cautions against
jumping to conclusions.

- Obviously, she has an
emotional connection,

but the key question
is, to what?

The danger is that we impose

our understanding of life
and death to children.

Their understanding
of life and death

could be quite different
from those of an adult.

Maybe children can see
another aspect of reality

that we cannot see.

- So, this is a tough one

because we witnessed
in real-time, Evelyn

having conversations with an
invisible or imaginary entity.

For now, we're saying these
interactions are unexplained.

It's certainly possible
Evie was just imagining

her uncle was there, but
we can't say that for sure,

and the family is convinced

that something
more was going on.

In the meantime,

they urge anyone affected
by substance abuse in Ohio

Savannah, Georgia

is possibly the most
haunted city in America.

It saw some of the most brutal
casualties of the Civil War,

suffered through
several epidemics,

and was a major port of entry

for the trans-Atlantic
slave trade.

There is no shortage of
troubled souls in the area,

and now a teenager may
have captured evidence

of the city's spooky
claim to fame.

It's December 2008 in Savannah,

and tourist Jesse Greathouse

is visiting from Akron,
Ohio with his family.

He's playing with the
family's new camcorder

during their trip to historic
Colonial Park Cemetery

when he captures something

that causes a
social media uproar.

As the footage rolls, we see
Jesse zooming in and out

around various gravestones
and mausoleums,

when off in the distance,

a translucent child in
white robes seems to appear.

The apparition runs behind
tombstones, jumps into a tree,

and then drops back
down to the ground

before suddenly disappearing.

It all happens pretty quickly,
so let's take a closer look.

Ignore the person walking
by in the foreground

and follow the bright white
figure in the background,

moving quickly
from right to left.

You can barely catch him
getting into the tree,

but you can clearly
see him jumping down

before vanishing near
someone pushing a stroller.

- I was walking around
and just filming,

and this kid kind of, like,

catches my eye,
just in the camera,

and it was real fluorescent,
kind of almost bright.

So, when we went to go watch it,

it really just
put in perspective

that we do have something
really significant here.

To this day, it's almost
like, still like disbelief,

like I can't believe
I'm watching this.

- [Tony] Author Heidi Hollis,

who writes about
the supernatural,

suggests this ghostly figure
may have plenty of company.

- 700 people were
victims of yellow fever

and they're buried in
a mass grave there.

So, I think it's a possibility

that the child that we're
witnessing in this video

was indeed a victim
of yellow fever.

- [Tony] According to
a historical marker,

nearly 700 victims of the
1820 yellow fever epidemic

were buried in a mass grave.

But records allegedly show

that exactly 666 people
are buried in the cemetery,

and the numbers were fudged

so that nobody would
associate the epidemic

with the work of the devil.

During the Civil War,

the cemetery also served as
a camp for union soldiers

who laid siege to the city.

- Paranormal activity might
indeed congregate in an area

when something
negative has happened,

so it is a possibility the
child that we're observing

is a ghost still wandering
here on this Earth.

- This video sends
chills down my spine.

Established in 1750,

Colonial Park was the first
public cemetery in Savannah.

It also served for time as
the city's dueling grounds.

During Sherman's
March to the Sea,

it is believed union
soldiers desecrated

and disturbed the grave sites.

So, this cemetery surely
has some stories to tell,

but what's the real
story of this video?

Let's summon the
presence of our experts.

- Typically, when evidence
is manipulated intentionally,

there are other indicators

that we would detect
through software tools

because the average consumer

doesn't know how to
conceal that information.

No evidence of additional
tools were detected

or changes to the
evidence drastic enough

to warrant intent to deceive.

- [Tony] Physicist
Dr. Matthew Szydagis

examines the possibility
that the image is a product

of something called
video ghosting.

- Because this was
on an analog tape,

this is not the
best image quality.

What if something had
been previously recorded,

video of a child running around
that then got superimposed

on the later video
of the cemetery?

That might explain
the strange coloration

of the childlike figure

as simply some sort
of echo or memory,

not in the ghostly sense,

but in the sense of a previous
video on the same tape.

- [Tony] So then could
this actually be the figure

of a ghost caught on tape?

- I do not see any evidence here

that this child does
anything paranormal

or out of the ordinary.

I don't see any reactions
from any of the bystanders

as if something
strange is happening.

I think what we're seeing here

is an ordinary,
non-dead human child

that's playing in a cemetery.

- Okay, we agree with Szydagis
that, at first glance,

this looks like it could
be just an ordinary child

dressed in
light-colored clothing.

It's this moment right here
that makes us have our doubts.

Watch as the figure
seems to shape-shift

then leaps into a nearby tree
and then falls to the ground,

and no one seems to notice.

Very strange.

[suspenseful music]

- We cannot confirm
the authenticity

of what that camera
saw on that day.

So, the verdict for this
case is inconclusive

and we would need additional
information to be able to opine

or identify specifically
as to what that object is.

[pensive music]

- The verdict? This is
possibly a living child.

Szydagis's observation

that the bystanders
didn't react is telling,

yet that unnatural movement at
the end leaves us wondering.

Meanwhile, Jesse remains adamant

that this is a genuine ghost,

so we leave it up
to you to decide.

- Have you ever
had a premonition,

a feeling that something
is about to happen

moments before it actually does?

It's more common than you think.

And for some parents out there,

it may have been the difference
between life and death.

A quick warning
that some viewers

might find the following
images disturbing.

We're in Jambi, Indonesia.

A father at a local
bike shop is working

as his kids play in front.

Then, without warning,

the family finds themselves
in the path of fatal danger.

Let's slow it down and freeze.

This appears to be the
moment dad senses the car,

and in about .78 seconds,

he springs into action and
pulls the children to safety.

Incredible.

Similar displays of
incredible parental reflexes

have popped up recently,

like in this video
from Vietnam in 2019.

Just watch that again.

The woman is knocked
off the motorbike,

but still has the presence
of mind to grab this child

just before she's crushed
by the oncoming truck.

It's almost too fast to measure.

- One of the theories
that has been postulated

by noted author Dr. Larry Dossey

says that we all essentially
have a premonition instinct,

but particularly in
the case of parents

where there is a unique
bond with the child,

premonitions can be
even more likely.

- [Tony] But even
if these parents

had a premonition of danger,

it's even more astonishing
how quickly their bodies

were able to react in
a fraction of a second.

- It's said that, typically,

we only access a portion of
our power, perhaps about 65%,

but there is a phenomenon
called hysterical strength.

When something is
happening so quick

where there's no time to react,

there is a rush of adrenaline

that pushes us to
do the unfathomable,

and I think that might be
something that we saw here.

- Look, scientists are divided

on the existence
of this phenomena

because it's nearly impossible

to test emergency situations
in a controlled lab.

However, these videos might be
proof of either parental ESP

or superhuman reflexes.

To be sure, we call
in the experts.

- Although it's
entirely possible

and conceivable to
manipulate events like this

using sophisticated
software or technology,

I don't see or
detect any evidence

to support that that's
what was done here.

- [Tony] So the video is legit,

but physicist Michio Kaku

doubts it's proof
of a premonition.

- Sometimes, we have premonition

that an accident will happen,

and then sometimes it does,

in which case, you think
that maybe you're a psychic.

Most premonitions are false
alarms, but one time out of 10,

maybe it does prepare
you for an emergency.

So, this ability
of ours to, quote,

predict the future by
having a premonition

is very selective.

We forget all the misses.

- [Tony] So if this
wasn't the result

of a true premonition,

perhaps these
lightning-fast reflexes

are related to
hysterical strength.

- Usually, when you
perform something,

your prefrontal
cortex acts as a check

and says, "Slow down, do it
this way, do it that way."

However, in an emergency,

where split-second
decisions have to be made,

a lot of the prefrontal cortex's
decisions are overruled.

All of a sudden, you take risks.

Yes, muscles will tear,

yes, you're gonna suffer damage,

but you do it anyway
because the adrenaline says,

"You can do it."

- Our verdict,
while we can't prove

or disprove these parents
had a premonition,

it was certainly adrenaline

that gave them
extraordinary reflexes

at just the right time.

There are no UFOs or strange
monsters in this next story.

We love those
types of mysteries,

but this one is a bit different.

It features a
real-life superhero

and the awe-inspiring power
of the human body and spirit.

It's May 26th, 2018
in Paris, France.

Lebanese chef, Tarek Dandach

is getting his haircut in the
city's 18th arrondissement

when he hears a big commotion
and runs out to the street.

- [Tony] Suddenly, a Malian
immigrant named Mamoudou Gassama

leaps into action.

- [Tony] Mamoudou swiftly
makes it all the way up

to the fourth floor.

Then, with the help of a man
standing on the next balcony,

he pulls the
toddler up to safety

before the boy's grip gives way.

- [Tony] Let's take
another look at the video.

See how Mamoudou seems
to launch his body

so he can grab onto the rail?

Incredible.

Of course, free solo climbers
can scale sheer rock faces

and even skyscrapers,

but that requires extensive
training and preparation.

So how did Mamoudou,
an everyday guy,

instantly acquire such
exceptional abilities?

Could he be naturally hardwired

to put himself at
risk for others?

Turns out, there's a
theoretical condition

called super-altruism.

- We have
super-altruists among us,

those who really put
themselves at risk,

or who exert a tremendous
amount of energy

for some other individuals

or some cause they
truly believe in.

[pensive music]

- This instinct
towards super-altruism

seems to be strongest
when trying to save

the most vulnerable,
like children.

So does Mamoudou have
this amazing selflessness

of a super-altruist, some
extraordinary agility, or both?

Let's go to our experts.

- This guy here is
obviously very athletic.

You can see that he's
able to reach up very high

to the next balcony,

but he's just free soloing.

He's going up there
without any kind of safety.

He's not even hesitating.

- [Tony] Yet remarkably,

Mamoudou claims to have
no climbing experience.

So, could this ascent be
fueled strictly by adrenaline?

- Superhuman strength

is also called hysterical
strength by scholars

and it is thought to occur
during life-or-death situations,

and it's a short period of time

in which humans appear to have
this surge of extra strength

and it is often attributed

to a rush of adrenaline
that flows into the blood.

- [Tony] In interviews,

Mamoudou confirms
that after the rescue,

he was so afraid he was shaking,

a sure sign of an
adrenaline rush.

But back to that theory,

are some folks hardwired
to do stuff like this?

- There could be
an altruism gene,

a gene that protects not just
your children and your genes,

but a gene that
protects your group,

your tribe, your people,

to make sure that their genes

can propagate into
the next generation.

- [Tony] Mamoudou himself later
offered his own explanation.

He said his faith in God
gave him both the courage

and the strength.

- Perhaps it was God
giving him the inspiration

to put his own life on the
line and to save this child.

He was truly inspired
to take this altruism

to a whole new level.

- Our verdict?

Mamoudou's faith led him to
this act of super-altruism.

His physique enabled him
to start the daring climb

with no experience,

and adrenaline gave him
a boost to pull it off.

The whether there's a
super-altruism gene,

that's still a mystery.

- There are many rumors
about what's buried deep

within the estimated 16
million pages of documents

in the Vatican Secret Archives.

Some are claiming these archives

also include shocking videos,

and this next clip is
their alleged proof.

We are not convinced
this footage is real,

but we're certain
it is disturbing.

It's August 2019.

A strange video said to
be filmed in Auray, France

starts making the
rounds on the internet.

It's rumored to be footage

that was discovered
in the Vatican,

and you can see why.

A brief black-and-white clip
shows a woman in a plaid dress

climbing a brick
wall with one arm

while dragging a woman in
a dark dress up by her hair

in the other.

When the creepy wall climber
gets close to the top,

she dangles the frightened
struggling woman

for a few seconds

before dropping
her to the ground

as the video suddenly cuts off.

What gets me is this moment.

Let's freeze it right here.

The woman in the plaid dress
isn't just climbing up the wall

with superhuman strength.

She is doing it with one hand.

How on Earth is that possible?

The internet lit up with claims

that this woman was
possessed by the devil.

- In the gospels,

we have 12 or more cases
where Jesus casts out a demon.

In one, Mark 5, he
encounters legion.

And in that case, the
person who's possessed

exhibits such strength that
no chains can control him.

- [Tony] According to the Bible,

legion refers to
a group of demons

who collectively
possess the man,

but are exorcised by Jesus

and turned into pigs
that then drown.

- The Catholic church
acknowledges demonic possession

as a real phenomenon

and actually has a
rite of exorcism

that's carried out in dioceses
all over the United States

and around the world.

Father Gabriele Amorth,

who is perhaps the most
famous modern exorcist,

claimed to have done
over 1,000 exorcisms

during his lifetime.

- [Tony] Exorcisms have
even been done by popes.

And the number of priests
performing exorcisms

is on the rise.

According to one source,

in 2005, there were
only a dozen in the US.

Today, there are around 150.

So, could there
be hidden examples

of demonic possession
in the Vatican's vault?

- All kinds of crazy things
are claimed to be in there.

UFO evidence, things that
might debunk church teaching,

and also a time machine that
supposedly could take you back

to the time of the Crucifixion.

[pensive music]

- Only thoroughly
vetted scholars

are allowed access to the
Vatican Secret Archives.

And to enter, they must get
through Swiss Guard security.

The researchers
can view a maximum

of three pre-requested
documents a day.

They are not allowed
to photograph anything

and must re-request
access every six months.

With that kind of security,

it seems it would take a real
heist to leak this footage

if it's stored there.

We'll leave it to our experts
to sniff out any culprits.

First, emergency medicine
physician Dr. Ed Hope

analyzes if it's even possible

for a person to climb
a wall one-handed,

as seen in the clip.

- The wall is probably much
harder to climb than most rocks.

She's also only
climbing with one hand.

She has to let go of her hand

to then be able to extend
it to climb higher up.

You'd expect her probably
just to fall off the wall.

- [Tony] So, the woman's
climbing technique

seems highly improbable,

but could a rush of adrenaline
make this achievable?

Here's a theory some
accounts a possession

can be attributed to
hysterical strength,

where the body's stress
response triggers this hormone.

- Whenever we're in a
stressful situation,

we secrete adrenaline
into our bloodstream.

This sends more blood
supply to the muscles.

It also makes more
oxygen available,

so it increases your heart
rate and your respiratory rate.

But adrenaline only goes so far.

It's not suddenly gonna
increase your muscle mass,

improve your tendons,

or give you climbing technique

enough to suddenly
scale a building.

- [Tony] Then could
this actually be

a demonic possession?

Dr. Hope wonders, is it even
possible to be physically

or psychologically possessed?

- In Medieval Times,

mental illnesses,
such as schizophrenia,

and physical illnesses,
such as epilepsy,

were often diagnosed
as demonic possession.

So that's thankfully
largely being replaced

as our medical
knowledge has increased.

And if someone was
demonically possessed,

they're still working

within the physical
boundaries of the human body.

- [Tony] With Dr. Hope doubting
this video's authenticity,

can forensic video
analyst Michael Primeau

help us figure out
if it's truly legit?

- Geometric shadow analysis

was applied to specific
areas of the image

where we see shadows,

and you can see here

that there's shadows
coming from this direction,

which is the primary
light source.

But the way that the light

is coming in and down
in this direction,

it's inconsistent.

You know, light can't produce
two different shadows.

If we're to assume
this is a natural,

primary light source,
being the Sun.

These shadows were fabricated.

- [Tony] Primeau
concludes this scene

must have been
composited with CGI,

using techniques to
make it look old.

- This appears to be
a high-quality image,

something that would
have been produced

from a high-definition camera.

Being that it was
black and white,

this was most likely a
filter that was applied

to try to demonstrate that
this happened some time ago.

The general size of the video

is inconsistent with
older technology

that would've produced a black
and white video resolution.

[pensive music]

- Our verdict? This
video was made with CGI.

While the mysterious Vatican
Archives are very real,

this video just isn't.

- When you think of ghosts,

you think of them
avenging a wrong

or haunting some dilapidated
house in the woods.

But could they be in pursuit
of something far simpler,

say a midnight snack?

It's September 2021 in
Nova Scotia, Canada.

Construction worker
Catlin Cormier

is in the kitchen at a job site,

when suddenly,
something goes haywire.

As his coworker opens
the doors of a cabinet,

a jar of peanut butter

is wildly spinning
completely on its own.

Take another look.

The sight of the spinning
spread freaks Catlin out.

- I had chills down
the back of my neck.

Everyone else's reaction in
the room was kind of like,

"This isn't real," they kind
of thought it was a joke.

- [Tony] But Catlin
believes the spinning Skippy

has a supernatural source.

- I was a believer in ghosts.

I've seen some kind of
wonky things in my past,

but this kind of just
set it off to like,

"Whoa, what's going on?"

- [Tony] And it's not the
only ghostly kitchen activity

that's been caught on camera.

- [Witness] Can someone
help me understand

why my pizza is breakdancing?

- [Tony] Check out this
seemingly-possessed pizza slice,

and this skillet
spiraling out of control

while cooking food
on a stove top.

Are ghosts responsible?

- Everyone considers a kitchen
the heart of the home, right?

So, when you think about
those in the spirit world,

would it be any wonder

that once they leave
the physical world,

they want to replicate that
experience being in the kitchen?

- [Tony] But how would a ghost

be able to cook like
this in a kitchen?

Some base their belief in
the very existence of ghosts

in the first law
of thermodynamics,

which states energy cannot
be created or destroyed.

They claim, when a person dies,

their energy is just transformed

into a new electromagnetic form

that can still inhabit the same
space where they once lived,

move things around,
and make noise.

Now, ghost kitchens do exist.

There are restaurants
without tables,

just a kitchen to
prepare takeout.

But this video takes the
term to a whole new level.

Could we really be
witnessing spirits

in the pursuit of
one last supper?

Let's see what our
experts can cook up.

[pensive music]

- Some people have
claimed that maybe,

ghosts are made
out of pure energy.

But energy is unstable.

You cannot confine energy
to one area to create

a ghost as we know it.

- [Tony] Even though the
first law of thermodynamics

says energy can't be destroyed,

the second law states that
as energy is transformed,

more and more of it is wasted.

So, a ghost wouldn't be able
to maintain its structure

over time.

So science writer
Mick West considers

if some other form
of thermal energy

is causing the pizza to spin.

- The front end is
kind of lifted up

and the back end is
also kind of lifted up.

And because there's lots
of air circulating around,

if the pizza starts
to slide and rotate,

it will actually
keep spinning around

upon this little pivot point
that it has in the middle.

I actually built a simulation
of a piece of pizza,

and when I spin it,

it will keep spinning

because there's only a
small part of the pizza,

which is in contact with
the bottom of the oven.

- [Tony] This explains
why the pizza is spinning,

but this skillet doesn't
have a pivot point.

So, how does it start moving?

- If you get a hot
skillet like this

and drop a droplet of water,

sometimes, it doesn't
evaporate immediately,

but its skidders
are on the surface

because it vaporizes
and it's like a cushion.

It'll spin

because it's actually floating
on a thin layer of steam.

This is called the
Leidenfrost effect.

- [Tony] This is a
cool trick of science,

yet West thinks it's not just
a wet stove that's causing it,

but some outright manipulation.

- If we look at how
long the pot takes

to complete one full
revolution from here to here,

and then we time it
again for the next one,

and then one more time,

each time, it's
actually slowing down.

So we got a pot on a
low-friction surface

because of the
Leidenfrost effect,

and somebody just grabbed the
pot and gave it a little spin.

- [Tony] So what about
the peanut butter,

which is neither on

nor near an electrical
cooking appliance?

- What we're seeing
here is a spinning jar

which is slowing down,

and that means there
was an initial spin

and it's gradually losing
rotational velocity

via friction.

So I think what's going on

is that there's something
underneath the jar

or perhaps they used
some kind of bearing,

and I bought one of
these little bearings,

and then I have a

seemingly by itself.

on this one is mixed.

Despite Catlin
swearing he did nothing

to make the peanut butter spin,

it's likely the jar was placed
on a small hidden bearing.

The skillet rotated as a result
of the Leidenfrost effect

and perhaps a
little manual push,

and circulating air turned
the pivot point on the pizza.

So, it looks like natural
science, not the supernatural,

provides the best explanation.

- So when we saw what the goat
was up to in this next video,

we wondered, "Did the
devil make him do it?"

It's October 2020 in
Telwara, Behar, India.

A villager is making
his way into town

when he spots something
almost demonic.

He grabs his camera
and records this,

a goat clearly walking
on its hind legs.

The creature advances down
the road, as we push in,

the goat seemingly unaware
that it's being watched,

struts for several yards before
dropping down on all fours.

Take a look at this
baffling display.

- Wow, that's crazy.

- [Tony] Field
researcher, Ken Gerhard

discusses the goat's
connection to a dark figure

from the fringes
of Christianity.

- The Templars from the Crusades

would worship this
deity known as Baphomet,

which was often portrayed

as a half-man,
half-goat-type creature.

That particular imagery
has been adapted

and passed down up
until modern day times

when satanists and
pagan belief systems

will worship Baphomet.

- [Tony] Early Christianity
co-opted pagan beliefs

and associated
them with the devil

in order to discredit paganism

at a time when
Christianity was spreading.

To further demonize
paganism and goats,

societies went as far as to
create humanoid goat monsters.

- Krampus, a folklore figure
from Alpine mythology,

a half-man,
half-goat-like creature

that appears only on Christmas,

sort of the antithesis
of Santa Claus.

- In the Bible, the Book of
Leviticus tells of a ritual

in which one goat is sacrificed

while another is
touched by a priest

and imbued with the
sins of local residents.

It's then sent into the woods,

taking the town's
impurities with it.

That's where the term
scapegoat comes from.

Which explanation
for this upright goat

is the greatest of all time?

Let's ask our experts.

- If we were to look at
the point of possession

in the first place,

Satan is looking
to capture souls

to deprive that soul
from union with God.

And so when we
talk about animals

not having an immortal soul,

we say, "Satan wouldn't bother
with possessing an animal,"

so we can rule out animals
altogether based on that.

- [Tony] So, what
about the thought

that this could be the
Satanic entity Baphomet?

- Baphomet is a
modern conception

of what the devil
would look like,

perhaps a symbol that's used
by satanists in modern times.

The idea of associating
Baphomet, the pagan idol,

with a goat is a Satanic
convention starting the 1850s.

We see this goat
walking like a person,

and people might say,
"Well, there's Baphomet,"

but there's absolutely no
connection between the two.

- [Tony] That answers why goats
are associated with satanism,

a rep they have not earned.

But why is this one walking?

- Goats are pretty
smart animals.

There have been instances

of goats learning how
to open door latches

and let themselves in and out.

They often go on their hind legs

to be able to reach those
plants more out of reach.

- [Tony] The
foraging goats engage

in what is called browsing.

Having evolved in mountains,

they've adapted to finding
food in hard-to-reach places.

They're selective about
which foods they eat

and are able to stand
on their hind legs

and reach with their mouths
to obtain a snack of choice.

- What I think is happening here

is that this is a
well-trained goat.

Perhaps it was taught to go
in its hind legs for tricks.

These aren't the only
quadruped animals

that have been taught to
walk on their hind legs.

People have trained their dogs
to walk on their back legs,

and also bears.

I can definitively say

that this is a well-trained
goat doing a pretty cool trick.

a well-trained goat.

While this behavior is
out of the ordinary,

goats were one of the first
animals to be tamed by humans.

I guess it's no huge surprise

that they've learned
to walk like us.

I'm just waiting for
them to do my taxes.

about deja vu,

I'm talking about reincarnation.

Millions believe in it
as a matter of faith.

But could there be
photographic proof it's real?

On the silver screen,

actor Alec Baldwin has
played dozens of characters.

But some people think
his greatest role

wasn't an acting job,

but instead as the 13th
president of the United States,

Millard Fillmore.

Look closely, those eyes,
the nose, the mouth.

Actors like Matthew McConaughey
as this 1800s doctor,

Orlando Bloom as a
19th-century composer,

and Johnny Depp as this early
20th-century choir director.

What if these aren't merely
striking resemblances,

but actual evidence

Frank's home in Amsterdam.

we are," and I led the way.

And sure enough, there it was.

told a tour guide

there were pictures
missing from the walls.

- And she said, "Barbro,
you are absolutely right.

They had taken down those
pictures to put them in frames,

but they were there

and Anne Frank did
put up those pictures.

How could you know this?"

- Now, the celebrity lookalikes
are certainly striking,

but are they really
images of the same person?

Let's put these
photos to the test.

In our first test,

anything below a .8 on
the scale is a match.

Incredibly,

the first test for Alec Baldwin

came back just within range
for the match category,

a .78.

Could it be possible?

Not only are their
faces similar,

but Alec Baldwin's passion
for politics is well-known.

It was once even rumored that
he wanted to run for Senate.

Clearview repeated the test,

this time using 1.0
as the threshold,

and once again, the
results were astonishing.

- Distance score is...

1.04, barely above
threshold for a match.

So very, very close
to the line there,

and that's kind of incredible.

- [Tony] The number
was so shocking

that a professional facial
examiner was brought in

to compare the photos.

Hoan explains that analysis.

- When you look here,

the first one is the
lower lobe exterior shapes

are quite different,

and the other inconsistency
was between the lips,

and you can see that the photo
A has a rounded upper lip,

and photo B, which
is Alec Baldwin,

has a thinner upper lip.

- [Tony] So, the photos are
close, but not a perfect match.

Neither was McConaughey.

And we're still waiting to
hear about Bloom and Depp.

But the question remains,
is reincarnation real?

Barbro Karlen's answer
is yes, a hopeful yes.

- I have had these memories
and I have gone through this

to be able to tell that
there is always goodness

and light at the
end of the tunnels.

but there is definitely
something very compelling

about Barbro Karlen's story.

But when it comes to Alec
Baldwin and Millard Fillmore,
