When I think of Shawn Michaels, I think the greatest in-ring performer

in the history of this company.

One of the most athletic, innovative…

Entertaining, somehow most lovable and hateable throughout his entire career.

You always wanted to see what he was going to do.

Whenever he had a match, it was excitement.

He was high-flying. He was everything.

He brought the confidence, the charisma.

He never let himself be second best.

He has had this burning desire since he began in this business

and was told he was too small, he would not make it,

to prove everyone wrong.

To prove that not only did he belong,

but he was head and shoulders above everybody else.

Shawn could connect with the people in a way that a lot of entertainers can't.

You could feel for him. You could feel his pain.

You could feel his happiness.

He seemed like one of us.

You could feel that Shawn Michaels was having a blast out there.

And just when you think that he can't get any better,

here comes WrestleMania and he just, he wows you.

I don't-- I don't think there's anybody that can touch him.

He's driven and hell-bent on making sure that the one thing that you remember

is the performance that Shawn Michaels put on for you.

You know what I mean? It's as simple as that.

He will not have it any other way.
