strategies and competitiveness.

From Week One,
winning first bathroom,

literally we had
a target on our backs.

We are a massive threat. Honestly.

Sunday night,
I found out Omar and Oz

had broken one of the Block rules.

How are you affording this piano?

I know what they retail for.

$7500 is what we got it for.

That's impossible.

They retail for $36,000.

to focus on the audit.

In a little over four days,
they need to reveal their hallways,

breezeway, laundry, mudroom,
and powder room.

So after losing a whole day
of building, it's really important

for the boys
to get back on track today.

Honestly, I'm not stressed, Omar.

Today's gonna be the biggest day,

due to yesterday's delay
of shutdown.

So as 9am rolls around and they can
finally get back on the tools,

they've got their team together
to come up with a plan of attack.

So our main aim, I need
plasterers here at 12pm,

so we can plaster the laundry,

get it all ready.

We've got cladding
in the ceiling going up,

we've got the hallway
getting worked on,

floor getting worked on as well.

We've got a lot
to get through today,

and it was very important
to throw another

pre-start team meeting to make sure
everybody knows their roles today,.

I think we should
take two carpenters out,

literally start in that hallway,
because that is a disaster.

That's got a lot of work to do, man.
For sure.

So we need people
to start on that ASAP.

We've got the two hallways,
the breezeway,

mudroom, laundry
and powder room, so,

that means a lot of work
needs to be done today.

Over at House Three,
with the biggest house

on The Block, Ankur and Sharon

are no strangers to delivering
massive spaces.

So much to do.

But this week, for the first time
this season,

they have the least amount
of floor space to deliver,

at 51 square metres.

Yeah, I'm a little bit stressed,
but I think it's gonna be OK.

We're just trying to organise
all the different elements,

because it is such a big space.

On Sunday, they'll need to present

their hallway, breezeway, laundry,
mudroom and a powder room.

And with heaps of spaces,
there's heaps to organise.

Getting rugs, getting art,

vanities, mirrors, as well as
any items for the mudroom,

and also the fixtures and stuff,
because we are doing

something different in our mudroom,
which is a doggie wash.

House Three's dog wash will feature

in their combined laundry
and mudroom space, which will also

include a built-in bench seat,

decorative floor tiles,
and loads of storage.

House Five copied our idea.

That was my initial idea.
I had my plan in

weeks and weeks ago, and I was
the only one who had a dog wash.

They changed theirs this week.

Because of Sharon, obviously.

and they're bloody big dogs,

and House Five aren't backing down.

We're so competitive.

that me and this guy do,

Early yesterday, we came up with
the idea that we thought

a nice little dog bath
would be awesome in our mud room.

It was just an idea,
then we swung it by Keith.

He said that should be good,

so we just naturally just started
working towards that.

The dog bath they're planning
will be a generous size,

and the mud room will also include
a built-in bench seat,

with space for hanging jackets
and storing shoes.

And because including the dog bath
makes the space a wet area,

their mudroom
also needs to be waterproofed,

so they want to get it plastered
as soon as possible.

But Keith has other ideas.

get it waterproofed tonight.

And then outside in the breezeway,
we'd like it to get sheeted.

So the good news
is that House Four

will have Jason Charles
and his build team

on-site all week

House Four will make the most of

the hipages boys by getting them

to start cladding the exterior of
their house

using linear weatherboards,
which are dead-easy to install.

So basically this is just

so much easier
for builders to install.

on their insulation,

Their mudroom will include
navy blue cabinetry,

and a built-in dog bed,
and their laundry will continue

the navy blue theme,
with a tiled splashback,

marble benchtop
and lots of storage.

So, at the moment,

I'm doing the most important thing
for the laundry week,

which is purchasing dryer,

washing machine
and a drying cabinet.

so things aren't drying.

In 15 seasons in The Block,

I've never experienced anything
like this.
