Chaofeng.

Master has reconnected

all your meridians.

Don't be afraid.

My legs...

Your legs...

They are untreatable for now.

But rest assured.

Master will find a solution.

I'll also help you.

Chaofeng.

Madam.

What brings you here?

Chaofeng.

I know you're upset.

Just let it out and cry.

There is still hope for recovery.

Your Master...

Your Master will figure something out

while he is in seclusion.

For now,

staying calm matters most.

Madam.

Stop comforting me.

I'm useless now.

Chaofeng.

Don't worry.

I'm designing

a new mobility device for you.

It'll be ready soon.

It'll help you walk just like before.

Just like before?

Probably...

At least...

Maybe...

It'll help you stand

without falling.

I'll go upstairs to work.

Chaofeng.

Take care.

With your Master around,

there is always hope.

Staying alive comes first.

My Lady.

Rest assured.

Master will be alright.

He overexerted himself

saving Chaofeng and me.

You're still sick

and you're pregnant.

You can't be stressed.

My Lady.

Let's go back.

Hong.

Prepare some ink and brushes.

Yes.

Drink the medicine.

It'll help you recover.

Your pulse is faint.

Without medicine, you won't...

Medicine won't help.

Why would I live

if I can't take revenge?

Listen to Madam even if

you don't listen to me.

Come on.

If Master can't cure me,

how will medicine help?

He'll find a way.

He's weakened.

He'll find a way after his seclusion.

There must be a way.

Chaofeng.

Chaofeng.

It just occurred to me.

Didn't Mofeng say

he'd make you

a mobility aid?

Let's check out

his progress.

Okay?

Alright.

Not bad.

Not bad.

But it's slightly bulky.

We may need to cut the strap.

It will be much better.

This side is fixed.

Chaofeng?

Chaofeng.

- Chaofeng. - What brings you here?

Well,

are you better?

Chaofeng, we're going to help you.

You'll be fine.

Let me perform acupuncture on you.

It may help you recover soon.

Alright.

Chaofeng.

I made this mobility aid for you.

Look.

It may look like a few pieces of metal.

But once completed,

it will help you walk freely.

Chaofeng,

keep your mind clear these days.

Focus inward

to ward off illness.

Chaofeng,

come regularly for acupuncture.

I promise it'll work.

She'll recover, right?

Yeah, she will.

Why are you out by yourself?

Yaoshi.

I want you to read this.

You're pregnant now.

Don't run around.

It's the Nine Yin True Sutra.

I remember Zhou Botong saying

this sutra can counteract your Solar Mantra.

I wrote it down from memory.

See if it's useful.

After Mount Hua,

this

was entrusted to Wang Chongyang.

I will not read it.

But Wang Chongyang has passed away.

I know you won't break your oath,

but I don't care.

I only know this sutra

can save my husband.

At least, check

if this sutra can save Chaofeng.

I recall a chapter about bone forging.

If it works,

it could ease her mind.

I don't care if this sutra

can save Mei Chaofeng or not.

Never mention this again.

I will seal it

within the Qingyin Cave,

and no one is allowed to read it.

Nine Yin True Sutra.

Yaoshi.

Is worldly honor

truly worth more than your life?

Fine.

Even if you could

heal without external aid,

what about Chaofeng?

Should we sit and watch her wither away?

I can't

live without you.

I really can't live without you.

I...

Heaven's way

reduces excess to replenish deficiency.

Thus,

emptiness prevails over substance,

and insufficiency prevails over surplus.

Nine Yin True Sutra

consists of two volumes.

The volume you've written down

is the second volume of martial techniques.

No one can practice it

without mental methods.

Even if

these recorded techniques

could heal Chaofeng's legs,

practicing them without mental methods

would put her at risk of energy deviation

and make her lose control.

This is poison masquerading as a cure.

I've known all along

that this sutra

can't detoxify you.

Otherwise, why would I have

helped Wang Chongyang

while letting you suffer?

The Solar Mantra

hurts me.

I know that.

But you're pregnant

and more susceptible to the toxin.

If Chaofeng hadn't

gotten us into so much trouble,

I might have been able to sustain it.

So you...

At least, we have the second volume now.

However profound this sutra is,

it was created by a human.

I may be able

to deduct

the mental methods.

It's just that

I need some time.

No wonder you wouldn't use it to help Chaofeng.

If Chaofeng had

learned about it,

she would have practiced it

against Heaven's way.

Even if she manages

to master the martial techniques,

she will fall prey to dark arts

and end up

with eternal regret.

Chengfeng.

You actually hit me?

Because you've been slacking off.

Rumor has it that

the Nine Yin True Sutra

was stolen by West Venom Ouyang Feng.

The Nine Yin True Sutra

is said to contain

the ultimate martial arts secrets.

Our martial arts are formidable too.

The Nine Yin True Sutra

may not beat ours.

But

I can't master our martial arts.

Our martial arts emphasize

essence over form.

Your senior Xuanfeng

inherited the truest teachings.

Xuanfeng, demonstrate it for Mofeng.

Xuanfeng, come on.

Impressive Luoying Sword Palm.

What brings you here?

Master.

You'll help me,

right?

I'm working on it.

Do you know of

any martial arts

that could heal my legs in no time?

The Nine Yin True Sutra

cannot.

Why not?

I overheard everything.

Madam said that the chapter

about bone forging

could heal my legs.

I'll say it again.

The Nine Yin True Sutra

won't cure your legs.

You know nothing about

the Nine Yin True Sutra.

Never

mention this again.

Master.

I'm utterly useless

like this.

I can't live like this.

Master, please help me...

You should leave.

Chengfeng.

Didn't you get a message?

What does it say?

See for yourself.

What?

Qiu Yunhai destroyed

Chaofeng's family graves.

Qiu Yunhai is a vindictive villain.

Chaofeng narrowly escaped.

This must be his scheme to lure her out.

But she's just starting to recover.

If she learns of this,

it might destroy her.

That's why we must keep this from her.

Let's inform

Lingfeng and others

to devise a plan.

Yaoshi.

Yaoshi.

Chaofeng

is so impatient,

asking me to teach her the Nine Yin True Sutra.

But that would only

do her harm.

Chaofeng

has suffered greatly.

Had she not insisted on revenge,

she wouldn't have ended up

like this.

I understand.

You never wanted to take her in.

You only accepted her as a disciple

because of me.

Chaofeng

has truly suffered.

Is there truly no other way?

The Ninefold Yin Pill.

The Ninefold Yin Pill

can regenerate bones and flesh

and revive the dead.

It's a miraculous cure,

but also a deadly poison.

If she takes it,

she'll end up suffering toxin like me

for the rest of her life.

But this is

the only solution.

Let's concoct

another Ninefold Yin Pill.

Chaofeng, I'm coming in.

I brought you dinner.

The fish soup is amazing.

Xuanfeng.

What's wrong?

Do you know about the Nine Yin True Sutra?

Those who obtain it

become invincible.

Heroes gathered

at the Duel on Mount Hua

just for this sutra.

Why are you asking?

The recorded techniques

not only grant people

unmatched power,

but also reforge bones.

Master is hiding this sutra

in Qingyin Cave.

How do you know?

Xuanfeng.

Do you know how

to break the formation?

I must obtain that sutra

and reforge my bones

to exact vengeance.

Are you sure

Master has the sutra?

Then you should

ask him to teach you.

- How could you...? - I've tried.

But he wouldn't teach me.

The Nine Yin True Sutra

once stirred up chaos in the martial world.

Master must

have his concerns.

Chaofeng, don't act rashly.

Your priority now is to recover.

Other matters can...

But I can't wait anymore.

When I was little,

I saw Qiu Yunhai murder my parents

with my own eyes,

but couldn't stop him.

If I can't avenge my parents,

what's the point of staying alive?

I need the Nine Yin True Sutra

to fully recover.

Then I can kill Qiu Yunhai.

This is my only hope.

Xuanfeng.

Help me.

You're asking me

to betray Master?

I never intended

to betray Master.

Nor do I want to keep the sutra.

I'll confess to Master

after I take revenge.

And I will accept

any punishment.

Xuanfeng.

I know this is gravely wrong,

but I have no other choice.

Chaofeng.

How is this different

from betrayal from Master?

In this world,

we can't always

get what we want.

I was wrong.

Forget what I said.

Just leave.

(Ruohua.)

(I'm right here.)

(It's your birthday.)

(May you enjoy)

(lasting happiness and peace.)

I'll sell her

to the lowest brothels

where she'll suffer endlessly.

I don't care if this sutra can save Mei Chaofeng or not.

Never mention this again.

(I'll say it again.)

(The Nine Yin True Sutra)

(won't heal your legs.)

(What?)

(Qiu Yunhai destroyed)

(Chaofeng's family graves.)

Chaofeng.

I'll help you.

We revere Master

and honor the Way here.

Stealing the sutra

is a betrayal.

Master will never forgive us.

We must run away.

Have you thought about it?

Yes, I have

and I've decided.

What's your plan?

Aside from breaking in,

there are other things

we need to do.

One more thing.

The boats

were badly damaged

by the hurricane.

We must have them fixed.

And Chengfeng's formation diagram.

With that diagram,

it will be easy for us

to leave the island.

Chengfeng has always looked out for me.

If I ask him for it,

he'll give it to me.

Done.

Chaofeng.

How are you feeling?

I'm much better thanks to

your treatment.

That's the attitude.

Staying positive

will help you recover.

Can I really recover?

All of us will

do our best to help you.

Mianfeng.

You spend day and night

studying herbs.

Do you know any anesthetics without hue or scent,

which are undetectable even by martial experts?

Why are you asking?

Given my current condition,

I want some for self-defense.

Master developed

such an anesthetic long ago.

It has

a remarkable feature.

It's the most efficient

for martial experts.

They regain internal energy after two hours.

It doesn't work on non-martial artists.

Why haven't I heard of this before?

Because Master believes

those who use poisons

practice dark arts.

That's why he never used it

after it was invented.

But

I secretly modified the formula

and produced some.

Give me a second.

Chaofeng.

You're injured.

Some anesthetics

might actually keep you safe.

But Chaofeng, don't let Master find out.

Chaofeng.

The mobility aid is ready.

Come try it.

Let me help.

Chaofeng.

Let me help you get up.

Here we go.

Slowly.

Chaofeng.

Chaofeng, are you alright?

I'm fine.

Thank you, Mofeng.

I'll practice a lot.

No matter what,

this is progress.

Lingfeng.

Xuanfeng.

What's wrong?

Chaofeng has been upset.

I want to take her fishing.

But all the boats are damaged.

Could you fix them as soon as possible?

Consider it done.

I'll have them fixed.

I also hope

that Chaofeng

could cheer up.

(Harmony Through Yang Energy)

Chaofeng.

Chaofeng.

With this diagram,

you won't get hurt

by the mechanisms here.

Here you are.

Thank you, Chengfeng.

Don't mention it.

You're my only senior sister.

See you around.

Chaofeng.

The formation diagram.

No one saw you, right?

Right.

Master.

Chaofeng.

Xuanfeng.

I'll see you later.

Master.

Are you feeling better?

You must let go

of your obsessions.

Master.

Have you never truly intended

to teach me martial arts?

Haven't I taught you

some of our techniques?

But I'm making so little progress.

Ever since I came,

you've never taught me

any mental methods.

Ever since you came,

I've been constantly

teaching you mental methods.

Like what?

You bring tea

and I drink it.

You bring food

and I eat it.

You bow

and I nod.

Not a single moment passed

without me teaching you mental methods.

Practicing martial arts

relies heavily on understanding the Way.

The Way of cultivation.

You told me to let go.

How do I do that?

Follow your heart.

Set yourself free.

Journey with

the cosmic unfolding.

Maintain ordinary thoughts

without improper desires.

How did you learn

martial arts?

That's a long story.

It all began

with a special connection.

Like when I met you?

Your martial prowess

is unmatched worldwide.

Have you let go?

Being the top martial artist

was never my pursuit.

That's not what I meant, either.

Master.

Don't worry about me.

I will get better.

Chaofeng

has suffered a lot these days.

If it were me,

I'd have given up.

I was worried that she might despair,

but it seems that

she's doing better.

It's Madam's birthday.

Let's celebrate properly

and cheer

Chaofeng up.

Are you sure about this?

There is no return.

I hope you won't

regret it one day.

I won't.

This anesthetic is undetectable

without hue or scent.

It works the fastest

on martial experts.

In Mofeng's water, too.

Not bad.

They've made an effort.

The taste is a bit off.

Nice blossom again.

The island will become lively.

How's it going

with Nine Yin True Sutra?

Don't I look

much better?

Master, Madam.

Master, Madam.

Master.

- Madam. - Master, Madam.

Where are Chaofeng and Xuanfeng?

Master, Madam.

Chaofeng and I fetched wine.

Be seated.

- Yes, Master. - Yes, Master.

Here, Madam.

Thank you.

- Let me do it. - Let me do it, Chaofeng.

Let me do it.

It's fine. I'll do it.

I've got this.

Let me do it.

It's okay. A crash for peace.

It's fine. Let's eat.

You've worked hard

these days.

You're

not only disciples

who make Yaoshi and me proud,

but also family whom we cherish.

Come on.

Let's toast to Master and Madam.

- To Master and Madam! - To Master and Madam!

- Cheers. - Wait.

I want to say something.

Taohua Island will always be our home.

Master and Madam

will forever be our parents.

- Lingfeng is right. - Cheers.

Wait.

I'd like to speak, too.

Master, Madam,

we pledge allegiance to you,

in this life and beyond.

Come on.

Hold on. Let me speak, too.

We share one breath, one destiny. We'll never betray each other.

Xuanfeng, say something.

Alright.

Master, Madam.

May your future

be smooth and prosperous in all endeavors.

Come on.

Cheers.

- Come on. - Come on, cheers.

Wait.

My turn.

May Madam give birth to a lovely baby.

You're the sweetest, Mofeng.

- Come on. - Cheers.

Wait.

Mofeng, are you going to have wine?

Don't worry, Madam.

Like you, I'm drinking water.

Come on.

- Come on. - Come on.

- Cheers. - Cheers.

This wine...

Why does it feel...?

Yaoshi.

Yaoshi.
