Eighteen missing students off the
Ensenada coast.

Calientes del Sol Hotel here in

those involved in the developing search.

is normally a happy place for many young

San Diegans.

From what we're starting to understand,
a group of seniors from suburban

Riverdale High came down here two days
ago. They were booked on a whale

-watching tour by this man, Steve
Papillion, part -time teaching assistant

special teams coach at Riverdale.

The list of missing students includes 50
-year senior and Riverdale quarterback

Roger Hopkins, known around Riverdale as
The Rod.

When the boat did not initially return
as planned, little was thought of it

because this particular boat, the Diablo
Blanco, is often used for booze cruises

at events in Otter Harbor.

One thing is for certain, though,
authorities say, these Riverdale teens

be any other choice.

here in Ensenada, the past week or so

been a harrowing, frightful experience.

But for at least one family, there's
been a ray of light, some hope for the

future. With me now is Roger Hopkins,
Sr., father of missing high school
