couldn't pay.

Walter was there when Garrett warned Jim

secret witness for weeks.

found out what he really was.

she ran and hid.

you his prime witness against Garrett.

Julie, it's my job.

Now, I've got to find out if Garrett
killed Harrison any way that I can. I

When Walter got hit by that car, all I
could think of was, it's Rick, and

he's going to kill me too.

And then I realized that Walter had just
decided to go to the police. He hadn't

told them or anybody.

You mean that Walter never mentioned
that when he called you?

You mean about going to the police?

No, not until he got to the hospital.

Did Lieutenant Biddle by any chance ask
you that question?

Sooner or later, somebody's going to.

They'll speculate that Walter told you
of his plans over the phone, that you

could have called Garrett and he would
have had time to set up the hit and run.

Wait a minute, wait a minute. Julie, it
wasn't an accusation.

Come on, I'm sorry, really.

First time I ever saw Rick Garrett.

It was in the hospital for minor
surgery, and I specialed him.

When he invited me to go along on one of
the junkets, first I said no, and

Webster Hospital and saw a nurse named
Julie Cabot.

I never heard Walter mention her.

him to the police.

then he got this call.

Because he left right afterwards, and
that was less than half an hour before
