With the engine damaged by gunfire,
Danzer was forced to crash land.

The FBI was alerted, and Los Angeles
Special Agent in Charge Winston Rogers

launched an immediate investigation.

One week before stealing the plane,
Danzer was the subject of an urgent

bulletin reporting the theft of over a
million and a half dollars worth of

diamonds. Instead of delivering them to
a dealer in Amsterdam, Holland, Danzer

shot and killed the security guard
accompanying him.

Inspector Lewis Erskine and Special
Agent Chris Daniels were assigned to

coordinate their investigation with
Winston Rogers.

Here's the diamond we found on the
plane.

The ticket clerk and Phoenix both
identified Danzer from the Interpol

photograph.

We know Danzer boarded a flight out of
Amsterdam last Friday and cleared New

York Customs Saturday morning.
