In the early hours of July 19th, Edward
Henry Selkirk, Jr., a former major in

the United States Army, engineered the
escape of James Charles Devlin and Floyd

Carter, prisoners in the detention
facilities of Camp Duncan near Tuba

Arizona.

Both Devlin and Carter were classed as
incorrigibles and dangerous by the

States Army.

Because these crimes were committed on a
government reservation, the FBI was

called into the case.

Inspector Lewis Erskine and Special
Agent Chris Daniels were assigned to

the investigation.

Major Durkin, are you sure it was
Selkirk who assaulted you?

Yes. He was here not three, four months
ago for an inspection.

I didn't know he'd been separated from
the service.
