On September 18th, two armed men robbed
a bank in Baton Rouge, Louisiana,

escaping with $49 ,800.

Their use of wigs and sunglasses as
disguises was similar to a method of

operation used in a series of robberies
which were already under investigation

by the FBI.

Inspector Louis Erskine, who had just
completed a major investigation in Baton

Rouge, immediately assumed on -the
-scene supervision of the case.
